Praise the Lord and God bless you once again. This is a great opportunity. Welcome to the Doers of the Word Ministries broadcast. My name is Bishop Reginald Given. I also serve as a senior pastor of the Word of Truth Community Worship Center located in the city of Bellflower. We thank God for this day, another opportunity that the Lord has given us to come to you and to share with you a message that I believe will be revolutionizing in your life. Amen. We thank God for you and pray that you will stay with us all the way to the end.

Heavenly Father, we thank you and we praise you for the blessings that you continuously bestow in our lives. We thank you, Father, for the listeners, for those that tune in. Father God, I pray that you will bless them, that they will receive revelation, that they will receive a word from you that will uplift their day, uplift their hearts, give them encouragement, give them wisdom and knowledge, and enable them, dear God, to overcome every obstacle that they may face in this life. We thank you, Lord, and we give your name the praise and the glory. We ask it in Jesus' mighty name.
Amen. Amen. Amen.
I want to share a message with you today. And the message is entitled, "I May Be Conflicted, But I'm Still Victorious." Amen. Bible says life and death is in the power of the tongue. So, it's important that we confess even though things may seem a little haywire. Let me tell you what I mean. First of all, I want to ask you a question. And this question may not pertain to all of you, but then again, in all likelihood, it just might. Have you ever felt that life was just getting away from you? Be honest. Amen. That you had so much to do and it felt like it just wasn't enough time in the day left to get it all done. Your proverbial plate was so full and everything on it was so critical that it was just hard to decide what should be scraped off the plate and what should stay on it. One dilemma after another. And not just the problems of your own, but now here comes the problems of other people as well. And you know, people who are dependent on you to bail them out of their difficulties, they do it all while at the same time you're still trying to keep your own head above water. And then, oh yeah, let's not forget. And then there's the devil.
Yes. Amen. With all of his tricks, all of his temptations, trying his best to woo you out of the will of God to serve him. And listen, I could go on and on and on and on, but if you ever felt that way and if any of those scenarios resonates with you, then you're at the right place.
I stopped by to encourage you, to let you know you are not alone. Amen. Amen.
I call being in situations like these, I call it being conflicted. Amen. Torn between several opinions. Should I or shouldn't I? Maybe this is the answer. Or maybe this is the answer. Amen. You see, conflicts are a part of life. They're inevitable at some point in time in each and every one of our lives. They are they not only happen to you, but guess what? And this is a surprise, but it happens to me, too. Amen. One minute you're cool with this person. And then the next minute, the two of you are now at odds with each other, conflicted. Amen. And a lot of times when it does happen to me, I just take a step back and I look at the situation and all I can do is to come to the conclusion that this really just doesn't make any sense. Amen. Why are we fighting? Why are we arguing? Why are we talking bad about each other? Why are we looking at one another? It just doesn't make any sense. And in those famous words of that great 20th-century philosopher, what's his name? Oh yeah, Rodney King. Why can't we all just get along? Amen.
One of my life philosophies is that there are reasons for everything. I don't care what happens in life. I don't care what transpires. There's always a reason for everything. No matter what happens in life to you, to me, or to others, there's a reason for it. And a lot of times, people who do not come from a spiritual perspective, they fail to see the real reason behind these conflicts. Because you see, when you're conflicted, you're in your feelings.
And that's where the devil wants you to be. He wants you to be in your feelings. For if he can keep you in your feelings, he can keep you out of God's purpose for your life. He'll stir up an offense. He'll magnify a fear and he will perpetuate insecurity. But listen, you weren't created to be led
by your feelings.
Amen.
You were created to be led by the spirit.
Amen.
You see, part of being and remaining victorious is to first of all understand where all these conflicts originated from in the first place. We are often led to believe that the attack is from the outside. Amen.
Uh, that it's that it's the devil. And many times it is. When in all actuality, it is really an inward battle that we're facing. If you look at Romans chapter 7, verse 23, Paul says these words. He says, "But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members." The law of sin is said to be in our bodily fleshly members. Therefore, every corrupt and sinful propensity lies within our flesh because the flesh is regarded as the source of sin. Once we who by the blood of Jesus Christ have been made dead to sin, if we have the misfortune of allowing the devil to realign old sins back into our lives, it relegates us to become prisoners all over again to that sin once more. And I believe this is why Paul goes on to say in Romans 7:24, he said, "Oh wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death?" Paul was conflicted because the things that he wanted to do, he didn't do them. And and and then the things that he did not want to do, he confessed. He said, "Those are the things that I find myself doing." Amen. And his own lament is found in the next verse, which is Romans 7:24. He said, "Oh righteous man that I am," I just quoted that. "Oh wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death?" This is the condition of a mind. Notice this is the condition of a mind in deep distress. Paul is conflicted and conscious of his own weakness and basically he's looking for some help. And since it is a spiritual war, obviously you're going to need some spiritual weapons. Somebody ought to say amen.
Amen.
In 2 Corinthians 10:3-6, it says, "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Verse five, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalt itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ, and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled." Listen, our weapons are rendered mighty by the agency of God. We depend on him and him alone for their efficacy. Our weapons are furnished by truth and by righteousness. And these were rendered mighty by the attending agency of the God that we serve. So the sense is that God is the author of the doctrines which we preach and that he attends them with the agency of his spirit and he accompanies them to the hearts of men. And it is important for all Christians to feel that their weapons are mighty only through God. Yes,
conquerors and earthly warriors go into battle depending on the might of sometimes their own arm and on the wisdom and skill which they plan for the battle. But the Christian goes on his warfare, feeling that however well adapted the truths which we hold are to accomplish great purposes. And however wisely our plans may be formed, yet the efficacy of all that we stand on, it depends on the agency of God. Amen. He has no hope of victory but in God. And if God does not attend to him, he is sure of inevitable defeat. In other words, without God, we can do nothing. It is when we walk in the spirit that the spirit reveals to us that we are fighting against an invisible enemy. The battle is not with my brother and it is certainly not with my sister. And it even goes a little deeper than that. If you look at what it says in Ephesians 6:12, it says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Our enemy is regarded as being divided into ranks and into orders and they are under the control of one mighty leader and his name is Satan. The word principalities, it refers to principal rulers or the generals of darkness. The word powers refers to the demons that were given power to afflict mankind. The word rulers of the darkness of this world are the ones that preside over the regions of ignorance and sin with which this earth abounds in. Darkness is always has always been an emblem of ignorance.
It has been an emblem of misery and sin. And no description could be more accurate than that of representing these malignant spirits as ruling over a dark world against spiritual wickedness in high places. These are the evil spirits that have a baleful influence over the affairs of men as well as the things that are on the earth and also in heavenly places. This is why we have so much conflict in the world today.
Amen.
And so, I may be conflicted, but I'm still victorious because the weapons that God has given us, the greatest weapon is our faith. Somebody say, "Amen."
Amen.
In 1 Timothy 6:12, it says, "Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." Faith is a good fight because whoever chooses to use faith always wins. Faith is a good fight because whoever chooses to use it pleases God. For without faith, it is what? Impossible to please him.
That's right.
In Proverbs 16:7, it says, "When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him." And in order to stay victorious, beware lest you become distracted. This is what the enemy will always try to do. He will always try to distract you by getting your attention to go elsewhere. But in 2 Timothy 2:1-4, notice what it says. "Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the thing that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach it to others also. Thou therefore, Timothy, endure hardness." Amen. When you're conflicted, it's it's it's a place of hardness. In other words, don't crumble, don't faint, don't throw in the towel, but endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Paul tells Timothy these things because he knows that hardness, misfortune, trials, and tribulations can many times distract you from holding on, that's right,
to God's unchanging hand. No man that wars, verse four, no man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life. He may please him who have chosen him to be a soldier. And this is always a condition of becoming a soldier of Jesus Christ. Whoever God calls to be a soldier of Jesus Christ, he is called to give up his own business during the time for which he is enlisted and devote himself to the service of his country. The farmer leaves his plow and the mechanic leaves his shop. The merchant leaves his store and the student leaves his books. The lawyer leaves his brief and neither of them expects to pursue these things again
as long as they are engaged in the service of their country.
Amen.
And so it is also with the Lord. If he has chosen you to be in his army fighting the good fight of faith, then you have to understand that you are in a battle. The struggle is real. You may be conflicted, but God has already told you through his word and by faith, you are still victorious. And if you agree with that, let me hear you say, "Amen."
Praise God. I know what it looks like and I know how it feels because I'm in the same boat you're in. But through faith, by the word of God, we are still victorious. I don't care what challenges you may be facing. I don't care whether it looks hopeless or not. We are victorious in the Lord who has given us the faith to trust him to pull us out of whatever situation that we may be in.
You may be conflicted this this morning, this evening, this afternoon, whatever time it may be that you're watching this. You may be conflicted. You may have some bills pressing on you. You may have some court cases coming against you. You may have some unruly neighbors. You may have problems in your home with your children, your spouse. It could be whatever. Whatever it is, I want to let you know you can still be victorious. And that victory will always come when you put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to trust him. That no weapon that is formed against you will prosper. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. Amen. And listen, we're admonished through the word of God. We walk by faith and not by sight.
That's right.
Amen. And so we're believing those things that be not as though they were. We're believing that if you're not healed, God will heal you. We're believing if that bank account is empty, that he'll fill it up.
We're believing that God will go before you and make every crooked place straight. Regardless of the conflicted situation in our government, regardless of the conflicted situation in our home, on our jobs, regardless of the conflicted situations, we the people of God who put our faith and our hope and our trust in him are still victorious.
Praise God. Well, I hope that you're encouraged. I hope you got something out of that message. It is a simple message, but I tell you, it blessed me. And so I'm encouraged no matter what's going on in my life. I may be conflicted, but I'm still victorious. And I confess that all the day long. And I hope that you'll take that word and you'll confess it, too.
