God bless all the mamas out there. I want to bless you with some verses. I've got 17 verses for mothers specifically. There's a lot of great verses in the word of God just for us as His children. Maybe you're thinking about writing a note, sharing a verse, ministering to moms, mothers out there. These are verses that I personally went through and love to share with other women. So let's tap in.
These next couple verses are going to be in Proverbs. As we open up, Proverbs has so many verses just for us, so many wise promises. I'm going to open up in Proverbs 14:1. It says, "The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands." And what's so amazing about just this verse, it talks about how a wise woman builds their house. And if you look at wisdom, it's always referred to as "her." Okay? And I think that's interesting. In general, just wisdom is known as "her" in the book of Proverbs, and we start to see that all throughout the book of Proverbs. So something to think about when it comes to "her" and wisdom.
Verse 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." So as mothers, as fathers, we are called to train up children. Okay? So this is such a great verse to uplift somebody because I know, right, a woman, a mother, it's, it's very unique, and there's so many great gifts that the Lord has placed on them. Training up a child is something the Bible calls us to do, not just raise them, but to train them in the Lord.
These last few verses are in Proverbs 31, where it's pretty much, a lot of people share Proverbs 31 woman. Proverbs 31:25: "Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come." Verse 26: "She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness." 28 to 29: "Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all." Verse 30: "Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised." Such amazing scriptures to be able to meditate on. Again, just the book of Proverbs in general, there's so many verses. I just had to share a lot of the main ones that I pulled from it.
Another verse in the book of Numbers, chapter 6, verses 24 to 26: "The Lord will bless you and keep you; the Lord makes His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace." Such an amazing verse to be able to share to somebody and minister to them.
First Peter chapter 3, verses 2 to 4: "Rather, let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." This is sharing about wives in general in the book of Peter, and how really, it's just the purity of the heart. It's, it's a heart check that God is looking for, somebody that can be humble before God, right? And it's so amazing how it says, "beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit." So it talks about the heart and the spirit. That's why we're called to test the spirits. But this is what the Lord instructs in the book of Peter when it comes to a wife that the Lord wants to raise up.
I've got some Isaiah verses. Isaiah 40:31: "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." That's Isaiah 40:31. And then the next one is Isaiah 66:13. This is specifically for mothers: "As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem." So the Lord, it's an analogy with a mother's comfort to their child, and God to His children. Such an amazing verse to be able to share to mothers, to lift them up.
Going into the book of Corinthians, First Corinthians chapter 1, verses 3 to 4: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." Women are also called to comfort, just like God is called to comfort us.
So another great verse. I want to also go to verse First Corinthians chapter 13, verses 4 to 7: "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
First Samuel chapter 1, verses 20:26 to 28. This is Hannah, okay? It's great to just study Hannah in First Samuel chapter 1. I want to share this what Hannah said. Verse 26: "And she said, 'Oh, my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here praying to the Lord for this child. I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.'" Hannah has an amazing story if you just look at her prayer and her boldness, right? Back at that time with Samuel, and she said she promised God that she would dedicate that baby to Him. She prayed to the Lord. We need women that will pray and dedicate their children to God.
Second Timothy chapter 1, verse 5: "When I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is also in you." Apostle Paul is sharing this verse to Timothy, right? And how Timothy's grandmother Lois and mother both had genuine faith. So it's so amazing being able to see that genuine faith go through the lineage because of the grandmother and the mother. God calls us to have genuine faith in Him.
Luke chapter 1, verses 46-48. This is Mary. And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; for behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed." This is Mary. And we look at just this and what she said, and how her soul magnifies the Lord. We are called to magnify the Lord in our soul, rejoice in our spirit, and just love God in the mighty name of Jesus.
Last set of verses in the book of Psalms. And there's so many verses in the book of Psalms, so I had to choose just a few. Psalm 113:9: "He grants the barren woman a home like a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!" Another great analogy in the book of Psalms.
And then the last one in Psalms is Psalm 139:13 to 14. It says, "For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works." And that's such a popular verse, that "fearfully and wonderfully made." Meditate on those verses. Just personalize this.
