The book of Romans chapter 15 and verse 4. Read.

For whatsoever things were written before time were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

All right, brother. Um uh I'm just going to pick somebody. Give me a shar. Explain that sir.

Shalom leadership. Shalom. Uh Romans 15:4 is going into that what the things that was written a four time which is the Bible uh was written for us to learn from to ask the stories of what our forefathers went through to give us hope at the end so we can make it through.

Right. The reason why I like to start a lot of my classes off, well, all my classes off with this is because we are a Bible-based organization. And the things that are written the fourth time is for us speaking about the Bible. When this was written, Paul was getting them to dive into what we call today the Old Testament. But all the books of the prophets, all the books that the most high God used to bring his people to the understanding is important. And there is a plot. There is a conspiracy against God's people. And this is another reason why I wanted to go over this topic, the book of our fathers, is because we have been disconnected. Matter of fact, give me that in Jeremiah. Jeremiah 17. We have been cut off from the reality that this book is a book of our ancestors. It's a book of our forefathers and our foremothers. And it's through this book that we receive comfort. We understand that if we're patient and we endure and keep God's commandments and faith in his son, we are going to receive all the things that this book tells us we going to receive. Is that not our faith? That's why we here. We ain't here because we just a bunch of folks that want to hang out with each other. No. We here because we all have a like mind that we want to receive the kingdom of heaven. And in order to do that, we must do what the Bible says. But we've been cut off. Jeremiah 17.

The book of Jeremiah chapter 17 and verse 4.

And thou even thyself shall discontinue from thine inheritance that I gave thee.

Now again, this is Jeremiah the prophet. The Lord's telling him, even him is going to be cut off. Would you say this is a prophecy? Absolutely. So, who was cut off from the heritage that God gave them? What people on the planet were disconnected from their true heritage? And why? Read that again.

Verse four. Come on.

And thou even thyself shall discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee.

When we read the Bible, we got to we have to read with with with purpose. All right. Who's this talking about? The Israelites. Okay. Well, when were they cut off from their heritage? When were the Israelites taken away from their God? When were the Israelites taken away from their culture, their traditions, their laws? When were they removed away from what God gave them? We the only ones that fit that prophecy, the only ones on the face of the planet. So, it says we would be we were going to be disconnected. And he said, "He will cause us to serve our enemies in the land which we knew not." Read that again.

Verse four. "And thou, even thyself, shall discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee. And I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not. For ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn forever."

Which shall burn forever. This happened because we upset the father. We upset the most high. Therefore, he made good his word. Give me that in uh Baroo. He kept his end of the bargain. He told us exactly what was going to happen if we kept the commandments and what was going to happen if we did not keep the commandments. See, the world wants you to forget about Deuteronomy the 28th chapter. The nations want you to forget about your history. And that's why they go through great lengths to take you away from it because see there's connection when you get into your heritage. You now start seeing that whoa this this this correlates with what's going on with us right now. This is the answer to our problems right now. And whenever we connect back to God, they know something's going to happen. You got that?

Baroo two and one. The book of Baroo chapter 2 and verse one.

Therefore the Lord hath made good his word.

Therefore the Lord made good his word. What word is he talking about? Deuteronomy the 28th chapter. The very book that they want you to stay away from. Nobody has ever asked, "Man, why is it that in Christianity it's so important to start at Matthew and don't worry about the stuff beforehand?" Because when you connect and correlate, something's going to happen. Read that again.

Therefore, the Lord hath made good his word, which he pronounced against us, and against our judges that judged Israel. Read. and against our kings and against our princes and against the men of Israel and Judah. READ TO BRING UPON US great plagues.

Great what? Great plagues. All of those curses found in Deuteronomy the 28th chapter vers 15-68 the Lord said he was going to do. Now, if we're reading with purpose and trying to bring the the Bible into, you know, life and correlate, okay, historically, when did this take place? Okay, we're putting years and dates to different things that happened. Okay, this we can look this up in history. This this took place. Well, shouldn't you do that with everything? When did those plagues come? When did those curses fall upon Israel? The scripture says those curses were going to be for a sign. This would identify and and show who the Israelites were. When did it happen? This is when you read with purpose. This is what they don't want us doing. And many of our people, we they fall for it. We just living life. The Bible ain't really a big deal. You know, yeah, it's the word of God. You've got to respect it. But it's more superstition. It's not really, you know, a book that you live by. You put the Bible in front of on your uh dashboard so you won't get any car accidents. How many of y'all did that? Some of y'all lying. What about you hanged the cross on the on the rear view supposed to bring power from God and it was the devil wasn't going to touch you in the car. You know how many car accidents you still had? It's superstition. You didn't really believe it. You believed in that just as much as stepping on the crack, breaking your mama's back. That was just as much as important to you as that Bible. You wasn't splitting no poles. Somebody come by with a broom, sweeping the floor, hit your foot. What you got to do? You You was beating people up because of that. You know what I'm saying? No. Paloo said throw salt. Somebody said spit on it. You was superstitious. You wasn't a Christian. You didn't follow Christ. What was that thing? You saw a black cat. You had to take 10 steps back. See, that was like John 3:16 to you. Held the same power. You wasn't You wasn't religious. You were superstitious. And get Isaiah 1. Never did you ever think to open that book in search for heritage. Be honest. Because you fully bought in to the white lies, the Edomite lies that we all the same people. We all created equal and we all can go to heaven together and hold hands. Just be a good nicer for master. You bought into it and you never wanted to look into your history. You did it so good to where now that's black folks SAY IT FIRST. COLOR DOESN'T MATTER. Isaiah 1 and 3. The book of Isaiah chapter 1 and verse three. Read.

The ox knoweth his owner, and he asks his master's career. Uhhuh. But Israel doth not know. Israel don't know. Read. My people do not consider.

We are that people that don't know, nor do we consider. Brothers and sisters, there's a history which I know y'all know. I'm talking to y'all online that may not necessarily know. There is a history that was taken away from us. And it is a fascinating story. There is there are there are things that when you read in the scriptures, you're going to see yourself. You're going to see how you are, your temperament, and why you move the way that you move. You're gonna bear witness with a lot of different, I don't want to even call them characters. You're going to bear witness with a lot of different historical fig uh figures that came and lived on this earth. And you're going to say, "Dang, that's my father right there." I read about Judah, I'm like, damn, that's my great great great great power granddaddy. That's right. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, that's my history. They don't want us to do that, though. Because when that happens, self-worth comes in. You begin to consider. See, they want us dumb. Dumber than animals, dumber than the ox that knows his master. Read that again.

Verse three. Mhm. The ox knoweth his owner, and he as his master's crib, read, "But Israel do not know." Israel don't know. My people do not consider.

You have nations that have gone through great lengths to hide your identity. And it's obvious now that you awake, but to our people that's asleep, they can't see it. They cannot see all that's taking place, all that's transpiring to continue to perpetuate the things that are done against us every day. So instead of us looking and you know trying to search, we distracted. They coming out, they got Tik Tok, you got all your Instagrams, all your Facebook. Facebook done took over your life. Facebook, you get notifications all day long. This is a main place where you communicate now. We don't even call each other anymore. It's Oh, man. I sent you a DM. You can't pick up the phone. You don't want Just tell me. Matter of fact, you texting. We in the same room. It's weird. It's weird. Can you imagine that happening back in I'm speaking I'm showing my age. There's a reason why they've gone through great lengths to uh hide our history. Psalms 83, start at verse one.

Keep not thou silence, oh God. Hold not thy peace and be not still, oh God, for lo, thine enemies make a tamote.

The enemies of God have made an uprising. The enemies of God are making an uproar. Well, how are they doing it? Let's see. Read.

And they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

They that hate God have become prideful. They that hate God have become pompous. And what are they doing? Coming against God's people. They can't touch God. They can't reach up and throw a blow at God. So what do they do? They come at the ones that they can touch. the ones they can throw a blow at. Come on.

Verse three. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people. Read and consulted against thy hidden ones.

Consulted against thy hidden ones. Who are those hidden ones? The Israelites. Read.

They have said, "Come and let US CUT THEM OFF from being a nation."

Now, this is what we really got to dive in because sometimes we don't really read in between the lines. When it says, "Thy hidden ones." What is it talking about? Jonah, it's going it's going to our people with no sense of identity of who they are. They Why? Because they don't have the Bible. They was cut off from their heritage. We were cut off. Remember in Deuteronomy 28, see this is another thing that they don't want us to do. They don't want us taking accountability. Don't ever go for that nonsense where uh white folks say, "Oh man, you're playing the race car." yada yada yada. They know what time it is. They want you to just live within the condition that you in accountability for what happened. They prefer you blaming them with no solutions versus understanding what the true solution is and doing something about it. They rather you sit in the corner and be pissed off. Man, look at my people. Look how we living. We're the last hired, first fired. Look at our jobs. Look at our our neighborhoods, our communities. You just a complainer. Versus the one that says, "Hold on. Damn, this happened cuz we messed up and God said he was going to scatter us amongst the nations." You realize they ain't had nothing to do with that? That was us. We messed up. Therefore, God made good his word, and he sent us amongst them. But guess what happened when we went amongst them? Oh, they took advantage. They say, "Oh, now they've messed up. Now we can strike and keep them down. Now we can strike and and hold them underneath us. They consulted against thy hidden ones." Read verse four.

Verse four. They have said, "Come and let us cut them off from being a nation." We got to get them while they down. We got to cut them off here. Cuz if we cut them off, what happens now? The nations get to rule. He says they have said, "Come and let us cut them off from being a nation, a nationality." Come on.

That the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

They went through great lengths to make sure that you don't remember you're the Jews. that you don't remember that you're an Ephraimite, that you don't remember that you from the tribe of Manessa, Simeon, Gad, Nthalia, Asha, to make sure you don't correlate your history and heritage with that book. Cuz if you do that, you might change the way that you think, you might change the way that you eat, you might change the way that you treat your neighbor. Read on.

Verse five. Uh-huh. For they have consulted together with one consent. Read. They are confederate against thee.

Who why would they care about images of the Israelites? Why would they care about the image of a god that they claim they don't believe in? Why would they care? First Mcabes 3.

Then they fasted that day. And so remember this is going on during uh the time the Greeks are in control. We had been moved out. We wasn't in the land to be able to do what we do. They had taken control over the the temple. They taken control over the land. So we tried to come close and pray in a place that we used to pray a four time. Right? Read.

Then they fasted that day and put on and put on sackcloth. This was a sign of mourning. Come on. And cast ashes upon their heads and rent their clothes. Read. And laid open the book of the law.

Laid open the book of the law, which is what, brothers? The Bible. Come on. Wherein the heathen had sought to paint the likeness of their images.

Think about this, y'all. What would be the purpose? We read this. Somebody might be like, "Yeah, they were just being disrespectful." No, no. They opened those books, those remember it wasn't their book, right? It didn't belong to them. They opened up books and started painting images. What you think they did with those images? Left them. They all came together and had a crafty council on how to destroy us. This is why the images are so important. This why Bishop Yah, you see him always harping on imagery 'cuz they know how the mind works. You see things enough over and over and over, guess what? You start to believe it. You start to think it's true. Now our people will literally damn near swear by Santa Claus. This is crazy. All these fairy tales somehow are are real now. And this is what happened. Encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass. For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for a multitude. For both they and their camels were without number, and they entered into the land to destroy it. And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites.

And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord. And it came to pass when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord because of the Midianites that the Lord sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, "Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage, and I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drove them out from before you, and gave you their land. And I said unto you, I am the Lord your God. Fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell, but ye have not obeyed my voice."

This is Gideon. This is one of the judges that you going to see. Read on verse 12. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him and said unto him, "The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valor." Mighty man of valor. The Gideon, come on.

And Gideon said unto him, "Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? And where, and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? But now the Lord hath forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites." So read more on Gideon. Um, chapter was that? Chapter 6 through 8 to read more on on Gideon. And he had 30 sons that rode in 30 on 30 ass colts and they had 30 cities which are called Havoth Jair unto this day which are in the land of Gilead. That's that's they called him that cuz that's where he was from. Okay. All right.

Um, give me Judges 11. Write this name down. Jephthah. Judges 11 and 1. The book of Judges 11 and verse 1. Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor and he was a son of an harlot. And Gilead begat Jephthah. And Gilead's wife bare him sons. And his wife's sons grew up. And they thrust out Jephthah and said unto him, "Thou shalt not inherit in our father's house, for thou art the son of a strange woman." Jephthah fled from his brethren and dwelt in a land of Tob. Jump to verse six. Verse six. We all come from this. He was a judge. We all have background. So don't think the Lord can't use who he wants to use. Verse six. Verse six. And they said unto Jephthah, "Come and be our captain that we may fight with the children of Ammon." Read.

And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, watch this. "Did not ye hate me and expel me out of my father's house?" Jephthah didn't forget. Read more on on Jephthah, read chapters 11 and 12. Samuel the prophet of the Lord, beloved of his Lord, established a kingdom and anointed princes over his people. Come on. By the law of the Lord, he judged the congregation. And the Lord had respect unto Jacob. By his faithfulness, he was found a true prophet. And by his word, he was known to be faithful in vision. He called upon the mighty Lord when his enemies pressed upon him on every side when he offered the suckling the sucking lamb. And the Lord thundered from heaven and with a great noise made his voice to be heard. And he destroyed the rulers of the Tyrions and all the princes of the Philistines. And before his long sleep he made the pro the prostitutions in the sight of the Lord and his anointed. I have not taken any man's goods so much as a shoe. And no man did accuse him. And after his death, he prophesied and showed the king his head, his end, and lifted up his voice from the earth in prophecy to blot out the wickedness of the people.

Let's go to 1st Samuel 1 verse one. So, this is Samuel. Write this down. Samuel, son of Elkanah. His mother's name was Hannah, by the way. First. 1st Samuel. The book of 1st Samuel chapter 1 and verse 1. Now, now there was a certain man in Ramathaim-Zophim of Mount Ephraim. Where? Ramathaim-Zophim of Mount Ephraim and his name was Elkanah the son of Jeroham the son of Elihu the son of Tohu the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite. And he had two wives. The name of the one was Hannah and the name of the other Peninnah. And Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the Lord of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the Lord, were there. And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah. Peninnah. No, let him say it how he wants to say it. Speak your truth, bro. You said Peninnah. You said Peninnah. Speak your truth. Go ahead. Peninnah. I lost. For Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters portions. But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion. Read. For he loved Hannah. Good boy. But the Lord had shut up her womb, and her adversary also provoked her sore. For to make her fret, because the Lord had shut up her womb. And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the Lord, so she provoked her, therefore she wept and did not eat. Mhm.

Then said Elkanah her husband to her, "Hannah, why weepest thou? And why eatest thou not? And why is thy heart grieved? Am not I better to thee than 10 sons?" So Hannah rose up after that he had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk, now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the Lord. And she was in bitterness of soul and prayed unto the Lord and wept sore. And she vowed a vow and said, "Oh Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thy handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a manchild, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head."

And it came to pass as she continued praying before the Lord that Eli marked her mouth. Verse 13. Now Hannah spake, Hannah, she spake in her heart, only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. And Eli said unto her, "How long wilt thou be drunken? Put away thy wine from thee." And Hannah answered and said, "Nay, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord. Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial. For out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto." Then Eli answered and said, "Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou that thou hast asked of him." And she said, "Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight." So the woman went her way and did eat. And her countenance was no more sad. And they rose up in the morning early and worshipped before the Lord and returned and came to their house to Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife. And the Lord remembered her.

And the Lord remembered her. Come on. Verse 20. Sometimes you got to go before the Lord and just just let it go. That's what the sister did. She wanted seed. Sometimes it's life be lifeing. Everybody ain't capable. But you don't know what the Lord got in store. You ask the Lord, if he choose to give, he will. Come on. Verse 20. Wherefore, it came to pass when the time was come about that Hannah conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, "Because I have asked him of the Lord." And the man Elkanah and all his house went up to offer unto the Lord yearly the yearly sacrifice and his vow. But Hannah went not up. For she said unto her husband, "I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then will I bring him, that he may appear before the Lord, and there abide forever."

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, "Do what seemeth thee good. Tarry until thou have weaned him. Only the Lord establish his word." So the woman abode and gave her son suck until she weaned him. And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her with three bullocks, and one ephah of fine flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the Lord in Shiloh. And the child was young. And they verse 25. And they slew a bullock and brought the child to Eli. And she said, "Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the Lord, for this child I prayed, and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him." Read on. Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord. As long as he liveth, he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped with the Lord, and he worshipped the Lord there.

Now she kept her end of the bargain. Yeah. She said, "If if I have have a child, he's yours." Matter of fact, read chapter 2, verse one. Watch this. Hey, I'm going tell y'all like this is this is dope. When you understand the level of faith, go ahead. Verse one. Chapter 2. 1st Samuel chapter 2 and verse one. Read. And Hannah prayed and said, "My heart rejoiceth in the Lord. Mine horn is exalted in the Lord. My mouth is enlarged over mine enemies because I rejoice in thy salvation. There is none holy as the Lord, for there is none beside thee, neither is there any rock like our God. Talk no more so exceedingly proudly. Let not arrogancy come out of your mouth. For the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed." Y'all see now the context in which this is used. That's why we use this. Come on. The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength. They that were full have hired out themselves for bread, and they that were hungry ceased, so that the barren hath borne seven, and she that hath many children is waxed feeble. Come on. The Lord killeth and maketh alive. He bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. The Lord maketh poor and maketh rich. He bringeth low and lifteth up. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill to set them to set them among princes and to make them inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them. Come on. He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness. This is a powerful prayer right here, bro. Come on. For by strength shall no man prevail. Read. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces. Shall be broken to what? Shall be broken to pieces. Come on. Out of heaven shall he thunder upon them. The Lord shall judge the ends of the earth, and he shall give strength unto his king and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Hey, all praise be to the most high God. That was a beautiful prayer. I'm telling you, the sister was in the spirit. The Lord delivered as she asked. She kept her end of the bargain. And guess what? This man grew up to be a powerful prophet. All right. Estimated time of birth. We're going to say around 1100 BC. Write that down. 1100 BC. Uh, he was where you say he was from? Zakai Ram. What? Ramathaim. What? Oh, Ramah. Yeah. I got to look at it. Gotta get it. Get 1st Samuel. Read verse 19.

The book of 1st Samuel verse verse uh 19. Mhm. And they rose up and they rose up in the morning early and worshipped before the Lord. That's not it. Let me find it. Hold on. You looking for it? Samuel. Yeah. Hold on. Oh, verse one. Oh, no. It wasn't. Where does it say where he's from? Jeremiah talking about one chapter one. Let me hear it. The book of 1st Samuel chapter 1 verse one. Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim-Zophim of Mount Ephraim. There it is. And his name was Elkanah the son of Jeroham. So this this is where we're going to note him being from because it's basically where they was at. I guess when it says Ramah, that's the same area. All right. Go back. Um, 1st Samuel chapter 7, he was considered the last judge of Israel. 1st Samuel chapter 7 um 15. Let's get to the point.

The book of 1st Samuel chapter 7 verse 15. Read. And Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life. He was the last one. He was the last one. Why? Uh, shalom. Uh, after after him came uh King Saul. Good job. Because after that we went into kingship. Get 1st Samuel chapter 10 verse one.

The book of 1st Samuel chapter 10 and verse 1. Then Samuel took a vial of oil and poured it upon his head and kissed him and said, Started, I'm sorry, start at 9 and 20. 1st Samuel chapter 9 verse 27. 26 verse 26. And they and they arose early and and it came to pass about the spring of the day that Samuel called Saul to the top of the house, saying, "Up that I may send thee away." And Saul arose, and they went out, both of them, he and Samuel, abroad. And as they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, "Bid the servant pass on before us. But stand thou still a while, that I may show thee the word of God." Chapter 10:1 read. Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, "Is it not because the Lord hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? When thou art departed from me today, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulchre at the border of Benjamin at Zelah, and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found, and lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son? Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shalt thou meet And there shalt thou meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine. And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread, which thou shalt receive of their hands."

Okay, we we don't got time to read the whole thing. So you see he anointed Saul. Now jump to 1st Samuel 16. 1st Samuel 16 and 13. This is the anointing of King David. The book of 1st Samuel chapter 16 verse 13. Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brethren. And the spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up and went to Ramah. Mhm. But the spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him. So you see David being anointed now and the spirit coming upon him. So Samuel was the one he anointed both kings actually.

Um, get uh 1st Samuel 3. A lot of y'all remember this story. This is when he was a child. Samuel heard God's voice. 1st Samuel chapter 3, start at verse one. We going to jump down just to get to the next point. The book of 1st Samuel chapter 3 and verse one. Come on. And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days. There was no open vision. And it came to pass at that time when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see. And the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord where the ark of God was. And Samuel was laid down to sleep. That the Lord called Samuel, and he answered, "Here am I." And he ran unto Eli, and said, "Here am I, for thou callest me." And he said, "I called not, lie down again." And he went and lie down. And the Lord called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli and said, "Here am I, for thou didst call me." And he answered, "I call not, my son. Lie down again." Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, neither was neither was the word of the Lord yet revealed unto him. And the and the Lord called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli and said, "Here am I, for thou didst call me." And Eli perceived that the Lord had called the child.

That's when Eli picked up what was going on. Come on. Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, "Go and lie down. And it shall be, if he shall call thee, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord, for thy servant heareth." So Samuel went and lay down in his place. And the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, "Speak, for thy servant heareth." And the Lord said unto Samuel, "Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of everyone that heareth it shall tingle. In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house. When I begin, I will also make an end."

So, this is the Lord now speaking to Samuel. Now, when you read this whole story, Samuel has to go and tell Eli what was said. And Eli knew exactly what time it was and he knew the evil that was going on in his house. Remember Eli's sons, how they was moving? Well, it all came full circle here. Okay. From there, give me uh 1st Samuel 3. I'm sorry, 1st Samuel 7 and verse three. The book of 1st Samuel chapter 7 and verse three. And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, "If ye do return unto the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Asherah from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the Lord, and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines." Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Asherah, and served the Lord only. And Samuel said, "Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray you pray for you unto the Lord." And they gathered together to Mizpah, and drew water, and poured it out before the Lord, and fasted on that day, and said, "There, we have sinned against the Lord." And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpah. And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpah, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines.

Watch this. Go ahead. And the children of Israel said to Samuel, "Cease not to cry unto the Lord our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines." They knew what time it was cuz they knew they was in the midst of sin. And they was thinking judgment was coming. Watch this. Come on. Verse nine. And Samuel took a sucking lamb and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the Lord. And Samuel cried unto the Lord for Israel. And the Lord heard him. And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines. We read about, remember that's what Sarah was was talking about. We read in chapter 46. Go ahead. And discomfited them. And they were smitten before Israel. And the men of Israel went out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines and smote them until they came under Beth-car. Then Samuel took a stone and set it between Mizpah and Shen and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, "Hitherto hath the Lord helped us." You see how the pro the prophets get to the root of the problem? They he understood the only way we going to be able to fight is if what? We get rid of this sin amongst us and we pray to the most high for forgiveness. It's the only way it's going to happen. Read on. Verse 13. So the Philistines were subdued, and they came no more into the coasts of Israel, and the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.

Give me 1st Samuel 15 and verse 22. This is when uh Samuel rebuked Saul and told him what was going to happen to his kingdom. The book of 1st Samuel chapter 15 verse 22. And Samuel said, "Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams."

Go back to Sarah um 46 real quick and read verse 20. Remember, it's speaking of Samuel. Just want to put this back in your remembrance. The book of Sarah chapter 46 and verse 20. And after his death, he prophesied, and he showed the king his end, and lifted up his voice from the earth in prophecy to blot out the wickedness of the people.

So go back. Where was that? 1st Samuel chapter 15 and verse 23. Go ahead. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king. And Saul said unto Samuel, "I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and thy words, because I have feared the people and obeyed their voice. Now therefore I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the Lord." And Samuel said unto Saul, "I will not return with thee, for thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord hath rejected thee from being king over Israel." And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent. Verse 28. And Samuel said unto him, "The Lord hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbor of thine that is better than thou."

Speaking about who? Exactly. The Lord told him what was going to happen, that his kingdom was going to come to an end. All right. Now, this was all done through the prophet Samuel. All right. So, I'm going to end it right here. All praise be to the most high God and his son. Give it up for our forefather Samuel. But first and foremost, let's give it up to the most high God and his son.
