Time here for vibes.
"Are you saying we're lazy?"
"YES."
"YES."
"IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER."
What's up you guys? It's Gracie Kramer. We are back with another sports swap and today we are with my bestie Molly Carlson is back. We're going to do some crazy things in the water. Last time we tried diving. Gracie killed it. You did a full on throw and a half. She calls me up. She's like, "I have new goals. I have new goals for the pool." I was like, "If you can fly to Montreal, we could do that." So, I hopped on a plane. Now, I'm here. We're in Montreal at the coldest time of year. I literally left the beach in 80° weather to come to zero degree weather. She goes, "What do I pack for a um very cold location?" I was like, "A swimsuit. You're fine." Literally hopped on a plane with nothing but swimsuits in my suitcase and we're ready.
Okay. Tell the people your goals. Last time I filmed with her, I learned a one and a half.
"Yeah."
"And a pike one and a half."
"Beautiful. Like she learned how to ride the board. Patience is really hard for a gymnast. So the fact she really took her time and got that down was really good."
"Yeah. So now now I thought we should level up because she leveled up in the gym. If you haven't watched it yet, go watch it. But I was thinking maybe two flips and then entry. This is actually a very hard skill. Like even me who's rided the board for 20 years still struggles to make a two and a half. So if she can get a two and a half today, I would actually quit and just like let her wear my swimsuit and compete."
"I'll be your stunt woman."
We're going to go play around and want me attempt this front two and a half, but also play around with different directions. So let's see what's in store.
"Hopefully she eats for the content for the bloops."
"She wants me to eat? I thought she was supposed to be my friend."
Step one is reminding Gracie how to land on her hands. So, we're not just like entering like this. We're going to make two L's. Cross your left and then grab it with the right and squeeze over your ears. Squeeze your ears.
"Like Yes, like squeeze. Squeeze. Squeeze. Punch. Punch. Punch. And that's what you're going to do. Go up on your toes and then just fall in. Remember, underwater. Which way do we swim? Pop quiz."
"Do you swim out that way?"
"No."
"I learned that clip."
"I learned that artistic swimming."
"Oh yeah. So you hit the water, body's all the way under, and then you pipe. You do a little flip flip. Yep. Okay. So squeeze, open your chest."
"Gorge Sunday. 10 out of 10."
"Slay."
"I had to slap your ass cuz you sl your mouth."
"Squeeze your head. Yeah."
"Okay."
"NO."
"OH, Gracie very much listened to me. She stayed and did the pike roll, but she needs to go straight in first and then pike. So, let's see if she can get it. No. So, squeeze to straight down."
"It's perfect. No notes."
"No notes. Yay. We're going up."
So, now we're going to add a jump into it cuz Grace is going to be going from positions and stuff in the air to her hands. So, you need to find your hands in the air. So, we're just going to do a jump into your hands.
"Jeff,"
"people do this on boats in the summertime all the time. But"
"yeah, you're so good. You're so good."
"Really?"
"Like it's so beautiful. That's ready for A BOAT IN ITALY. OKAY. OKAY."
Now we're going to add a tuck. Ooh, a tuck. Okay. I mean, why am I being surprised? I'm really I said I was going to try to do a double front tuck, but it's fine. Tuck. Step back to that straight line. Your straight line. You're so vertical. It's crazy. Hey. Okay. She's still vertical. Here we go. Hold my booty.
"Yeah, girl. So, jump up."
"I almost got kicked in the face."
"She said straight."
"Yes. She's passing all the levels so fast. Like, it's so beautiful."
"Really?"
"I have no doubt. Yay."
"You're going Are you flipping? I'm going to expose myself."
"I didn't get my hands together that time."
"Oh, see, I can't see cuz I'm sideways. But it's okay. I'll do it next time. But the vibes were there. But I'm in I'm flipping under water."
Let's move to the springboard. So, I did learn last time how to ride the board is what she calls it. So, I'm going to try it. Hopefully, I'm not too rusty. And we're just going to do the talk again to H. Okay. Your dive was great. You took off from Nar.
"I know. Why was I so FAR BACK? I LITERALLY THOUGHT THAT, TOO. AND I was like, just send it. It's fine."
"So, you kind of start around where the holes are. Little to bigger to biggest off the board. Okay. It's just so good. Oh my god, bro. You're so good. Yay."
We had to relocate because there's little nuggets that ARE TYPING OVER THERE. I FORGOT WHAT I WAS DOING. YOU GOT excited and with like that momentum, you go really far forward cuz the board naturally pushes you out. So, you just need to really be patient, relax, remember what you're doing. You got this. T remember little and then just like use that timing to get off the board. Okay. Let the board do the work.
"Yeah. I'm used to doing all the work, so it's weird having to be shown."
"Are you saying we're lazy?"
"Steph is cheering. I'm I'm winning."
"The thing is"
"my day is made."
"Her dive is so beautiful. IT'S JUST BOUNCING."
"I think you go on the second one. You're doing three."
"The second one is perfect. It feels really unnatural to do so many. So, just do two. Um, let's do a flip. I missed it. I was talking to my friends."
"Yes."
"That's the hype. That's when it's too high and your legs crumble."
"Yeah."
"That's the takeoff. She got the takeoff."
"How do you feel it? One and a half."
"Yeah. textbook. I mean, I hope mine looks like that. It won't, but I hope a girl can dream. Okay, Steph made a good point. So, you had a massive jump into a little jump. You want that first jump to be chill and then you get to height on the next one."
"Oh. when you go from big to little."
"I was like, it feels awkward trying to catch the the springboard. Thank you, sir. We have a better glitch. I'm here for vibes. I don't know how to go. I think I need to think of it like a verbal like into a punch."
"Yes."
"Cuz like when you do like a little baby jump into a big jump, right? So, it's kind of the same thing."
"Yes. You want that last beautiful catch to be on the edge."
"That was a rough draft. I was just like, 'Hey, it's going to make it.'"
"YES. YES. YES. IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER. HER BOARD WORK WAS PERFECT and then she just didn't throw. We're like, you're not going to make it. If you do that with those arms throwing for a half,"
"it was really cute. It was really cute."
"I need to open my eyes. I'm thinking so much about the the riding the board part and I didn't think about the foot part."
"The uh the dodge guys WOULD BE IMPRESSED. IT DOES. I MEAN, I am Norwegian, so period."
"It's coming out apparently. Let's do it on THE TRI"
"AGAIN."
"YES. YES. Everyone's flopping. EVERYONE'S BACKWARDS. OKAY. She made that easily. The timing was still like a bit like choppy."
"I'm nervous. I don't know why I'm so nervous."
"But the fact you threw your arms and made that so easy was great. And then you stretch and you were over rotating like you can make your double. Now that you know you can make it with the throw, make it pretty. Let's"
"so pretty. So pretty. My coach was saying she takes a pause before she starts flipping. And for the double, you need that momentum. So she's going to do one more one and a half. Grabbing her tuck faster. YES, that's the speed she needs to make the double. You learn very fast. Like Steph gave her a correction. She's like, 'Yep, of course.' And then just goes and does it. I'm like, 'It takes me 3 months to listen to Steph's correction.'"
"I am very That is one thing about me. I'm very coachable. Yeah."
"And I'm very visual. So I'm like, 'Show me what I need to do and then tell me what I need to do and I'm good to go. Time to show you a double.'"
"OH MY GOD. I DON'T KNOW WHY I'M SO NERVOUS. Like I'm like I know."
"It was good. Okay."
"See, you're more in control then. Boom. Right away."
"Oh, yeah."
"Thank you."
"Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What do I need to do? I feel like I'm in a peg still. Press my hips like"
"time to use your legs. I love having a coach. I never get coached. I miss it."
"Okay. Yeah."
"You get so high, dude. That was you in the gym. the power after her cap right now is so cute."
"Ew, do I look so bad. You're You're so hating on me."
"Um, let's do your job."
"She said, 'If I eat we can just have a giggle.' Honestly, I wish my coaches used to say that because like that's such a healthy mindset to have when trying something new. It's just like, 'Who cares? It like just try and then if you something then who cares? Just have a giggle.' Like it's for fun. I'm scared though. Here we go. Okay. Throw the double. It's water. Okay. Not that high. It's fine. We're not that high. You got it. I'm so nervous. You're fine."
"With the worst take off. Worst take it."
"Your double was so good."
"Like you just got no hype. Like you were shiting yourself on the board."
"But then the double just happened."
"So good. Not going to lie, I did clap my cheeks a little bit."
"Did How much water went out there? Like"
"just a tad. A"
"little bit. Okay. If you do that same double with a beautiful board ride. One. Come on, girl."
"YEAH. SHE WENT as high as me. That was amazing. But look how high."
"Yeah."
"Boom. STRAIGHT UP. YOU'RE LIKE I LITERALLY like hit my face."
"Like you should be so proud."
"I did one more. Tighten up that tuck. Make it pretty."
"See where you're at."
"Just try."
"Yeah. Now that Felix did it, I kind of want to do it."
"He's a male gymnast, so I'm like, women can do it, too. Typically, when you're learning these bigger and harder dives, you do more bounces to get more air time."
"And since Graciey's too scared to go to 3 m for the 2 and 1/2, we need her to add more bounces to get higher."
"A little one here."
"Okay, so we're learning that a punching up is really hard. And people actually learn that in 3 m first and then come down to 1 m. So if she could just get one more front double today, that's really solid. We're going to be super happy with that. Come on. You got it, girl. YES. JUDAH. JUDAH."
"I SHOULD HAVE BEEN SO OUT. WHY DID I NOT JUST DIE?"
"Everything hurts. Your sports hurt so much. I was so ready to move on and be like, 'Don't worry.' But like, you literally just did a press up. I think you just said mine for the vents, for the giggles. You just chuck it. Same take off that Aiden showed you. One, two, just stick your hands in the water, you know?"
"Yeah. I should have just done it. I'm so mad at myself. I should have just done it."
"No, we don't change our mind in diving. That's like unknown."
"So, like now you know you're trying for two. See what happens."
"Okay. I need you to do one. Oh, I don't want to demo. It's actually so scary. This is a really hard time. Like, I'm nervous."
"She was nervous for that. Now I'm extra nervous. It's fine. It's just a little baby extra half. It's fine. See, it's not that deep. It's not that deep. Send one for fun. Okay. For the video,"
"nothing bad can happen, right? No, it's fine. Okay, I'm literally going to my pants. I'm so scared. I think I'm scared because I actually think I can do it. Like, I do think I have it in me. So, I'm like, the pressure is on, but I just need to do a little bit more than the last one. And I think it's like there. But the water hurts really bad if you up. So, like it's fine."
"Have fun with it, girl. You got it. See what happens."
"Confident,"
"guys. I wish I had a heart rate monitor on."
"You got it, girl."
"Little bounce. Little bounce. Chill on the board. My balance wasn't very good. That was actually really good board work. She just didn't throw her arms at that. That was perfect. I got"
"so scary."
"That was really, really good attempt. Guys, we have one more go. You know you're going to be mad at yourself if you go home."
"I know. So, let's get Okay, Aiden thinks that it's better to practice the bounce first so that I feel confident and then when I go then I can commit to the dive. So, I'm going to do one where I just stop and then pull that."
"That's way better. I believe in you."
"There's no way."
"So scary."
"I'm extremely proud of Gracie for like coming in with these crazy goals. That's a really hard dive. But then to try it and see how close she could get. Her doubles were beautiful today. Easily over rotating. Easily with a bit more time in the pool, she could get that and attempt a two and a half. But I'm so ridicu. But the 3 m is a whole new ball game and then you're dealing with height and pain. So"
"for you to try it down here is really really tricky. Yeah. And you got super close. You basically did it."
"I know."
"You guys know how much I hate giving up. Like I'm like a little pitbull. Like I get so stubborn and like driven about something. But I don't want to like shake my confidence and I feel like if I like were to wreck and like do it really really poorly. Like I wouldn't feel as happy doing this. And I feel like I'm really starting to enjoy diving. So I don't want to like rock my confidence early in. But I do I think we call it on the front double. I'm really proud of myself for even doing a front double. So, I think next time I'll come back. I'll go in the belts, do a little front one and a half, but then also we could try other entries or other takeoffs."
"We try one more gold dive that I have for you."
"I Yeah, I feel good about that. Trying one more dive."
"So, we're going to get an extremely good front twister and we're going to see. She already has the bounces and this one you don't need as much height as a two and a half. So even if your bounces are bad, we're going to do that front pull and then try to over rotate the same and tuck your hands in."
"So let's just start with a flip straight, a pull twist, and then we'll see. Okay, so we're going to do a front layout, but she calls it front straight. Is that what you guys call it? Front straight. Okay,"
"did not make that. clearly getting close. No need to be better than"
"Why was there?"
"The weird thing about diving is it's a different technique. So like in gymnastics, you have to be like almost it looks arched, but it's more just like your legs are driving. For them, they think about like almost staying in like a pike hollow shape. Oh, she comes out and fights. INTERESTING. We have to stay straight. You go pipe out."
"Turn it into a Z."
"Yeah. Get into a pike and then you're straight. Okay. Yeah. So do one more cuz that's how you're going to transition into your hand. Yeah."
"So if you can twist to pike to over rotate, you're ready. Twist to pike to over rotate. Golden."
"Perfect."
"Easy money. And then afterwards, can we get food? I'm sorry."
"That was not it."
"Little little early with the pike."
"Yeah, I piked at the top."
"Not right. All to do with twisting, you want to rush into it so you get close to the board with your head. So you got to make sure you rush."
"What the are you talking about?"
"She got close to her head. I'm safety first."
"You said you want to rush into it. So you you're close with your head."
"That's what I'm saying. Everyone wants to rush and then"
"it sounded like you were telling her to do that."
"No, no, no. You are like dangerous, but you don't want to start getting closer."
"Yeah. So you want to keep that chest up and get distance at the same time. Okay,"
"you're going to squeeze the same up on your toes and crawl it. I'm going to squat. Okay,"
"you didn't even jump. No, no, you're not jumping. You're not jumping. So, I'm going to come slide spot. It's like the ultimate trust fall. It's the bestie trust fall. Okay, you squeeze ears. Open your ears. Squeeze. Yep. That was never."
"You didn't tell me when to go."
"Bro, you're the really the worst coach."
"You just said, 'And then we're going to commit.' And he started pushing me over. When are we going to commit?"
"Guys, I'm back out, bro. Okay, we've realized I'm the worst coach in the world. I was like, 'Yeah, and then we're just going to go. There's no 3 2 1. There's no that thing.'"
"No warning."
"Do a countdown on this one. Okay, you got this."
"Sometimes when someone is so naturally talented at a sport, they're not the best coach."
"Oh, me."
"Because they're like, just do it. Like, just feel it. Hello. Cuz that's what happened with them when they learn their sport. And for me, I was not that case. I was the one that had to learn every single step to get a skill."
"So, I'm a really good coach."
"Good athletes make a great terrible coaches. Okay, so we're lifting our hands. We're up on our toes and 1 2 3."
"Oh my god, I'm so close to THE BOARD."
"YOU DID GREAT."
"You can do it by yourself. Okay,"
"these little nuggets are throwing one and a half off the freaking 3 meter."
"They're so brave. It's so beautiful."
"Wo."
"Now we have to jump."
"What?"
"A full back dive."
"What?"
"That with a jump. I believe in you."
"If she could get this back, cuz it is scary going back."
"Yeah."
"Yeah. For sure."
"Same thing with a jump. Little jump. And you're going to put your feet in the sky. Are you sure you want that on the internet, Mo?"
"Oh, I'm so bad at diving. It's hard."
"It just is. It looks like an extreme trust wall. Like you have to keep trusting that it's going to"
"You trust the water. The Where's the water going to go, babe?"
"Yeah."
"Try one. Try one. So, there's no flipping involved, though. It's just stretch."
"Just stretch. Do I swing? No."
"Just drop. Y That's so scary, dude. Right."
"That's so gnarly."
"The jump adds a whole new level of trust."
"Okay."
"That's all I want on my belly. On my belly."
"YES."
"Thank god my body's so red. My whole body looks like my suit. That's when you know it was a good day. You had a huge dive."
"Oh my god, dude. That was so fun."
"So good."
"Another fun thing in diving is synchro. And since she's my bestie girl, I wanted to try a little synchro back dive together."
"Together. See if we can do it."
"So on go we go."
"Are you ready? Go. One, two, three, go."
"DID I DO IT? THAT WAS SO FUN."
"THAT WAS QUITE GOOD."
"BEAUTIFUL."
"Oh my god, you guys. LA 2028, too. Like, you know how to go on g."
"Yeah."
"Should we be synchro partners?"
"Oh, for sure. LA 2028."
"Yeah. Watch out, babe."
"Which sport? Gymnastics."
"Synchro."
"You just broke your neck. We'll do synchro in the diving and then we'll do um obviously gymnastics."
"Gymnastics."
"I mean her soup. Absolutely. Okay. Well, she'll be a vault specialist."
"Come on. Come on."
"All right, you guys. Thank you so much for watching. It's really freaking loud here."
"Be sure to subscribe."
"She's over stimulated. She's had like She looks like a squirrel. Like, oh my god. My ADHD is so bad. I'm literally the freaking dog from up. I'm like squirrel. Um, so anyways, make sure you like, subscribe, and comment. We film and produce everything on me. So, so much work. It's a lot of work. Ew. And all it takes for you is a little likey like. So, please do that. Also, follow her on everything. And if you haven't already, go see Molly try gymnastics."
"Yes. Such a good video. I'm so happy we did that."
"It was so fun. As always, thank you so much for watching. I love you so much and I'll see you next time."
