Hello beautiful, and welcome back to another video, y'all. I have such a good video for you today. I honestly wish I had seen this video on my glow-up journey. Honestly, I feel like this is going to become a series because I have so many tips and secrets and habits and tricks to share with you. I just want to put you on. So today we are talking all about my some of my favorite glow-up secrets; things to make you look put together without a lot of effort, especially in the morning.
I'm the type of person; I like to be high-maintenance to be low-maintenance. So I like to do things that are maybe a little bit more costly or more a little bit more of an investment upfront so that I have peace of mind, so that I can look put together, so that I can feel put together on an everyday basis. I really do feel like how you look translates into how you feel in your confidence levels, and on our glow-up journey, you know it doesn't have to take a 15-step skincare routine, or you have to spend 2 hours on your makeup every single morning. You have to curl your hair every single morning, or you have to make sure your space is super tidy and super clean, and you have to have this aesthetic. It doesn't really take all of that to be that girl, and that is exactly what we are talking about today, and I'm so excited to get into it.

And without further ado, y'all, let's get into this video. We are going to go over skincare, fragrance, jewelry, hair, a little bit of makeup. I didn't include style in this because I think I want to make style a separate video because when we get into our personal style, it's a true expression of our personality, of our higher self, so I think it deserves a separate video. So definitely like this video or maybe even put down different questions you have about personal style, how to look put together style-wise, and I will make sure to address them in the next video. So let's glow up, okay sis? Let's get into it.
So first, this overnight blowout; this is going to get you effortless curls again with minimal effort. I put these on overnight, I spray a little bit of heat protectant in, roll them up, and I am left with the most beautiful curls without any effort. Plus these ones are really really easy to sleep in. You can see just how pretty these look, and you can really customize them; you can make them as tight or as loose as you want, but again, you get that cute, effortless, classy blowout without having to do the most.
The next thing that I want to mention is what I have in my hair. I have Ktips in my hair; they're a little bit high-maintenance and expensive upfront, but they give you a really really natural look. I really don't have to do my hair every single day; this is about it. I just kind of unroll my curls, I brush them through, I re-part my hair; maybe I'll put a little bit of hair wax in my edges, but that's about it. Um, this is my favorite edge control, but really I just put in some hair wax. I feel like it looks a little bit more natural and more everyday.
Let's move on to skincare. You know, I've been really on it on my skincare lately. I just got a chemical peel, a really intense chemical peel, but for the past year I've been using ZO Skin Health. I've also been including these Clean Skin Club towelettes. This combined has kept my skin really clear. I I regularly keep up with my aesthetician, my dermatologist. I mean, really focusing on your skincare is one of the best ways to look really classy, really put together without having to put on a lot of makeup. So doing an investment in your skincare can really pay off in your confidence levels, and you don't have to spend that much time in the morning getting ready. I'm also including some Korean skincare. I find with Korean skincare and really all skincare, it's really important to pat in the skincare so it absorbs really nicely. I find the Korean skincare is really great for my dry skin. I've also been including some pore pads; these are the ones from Medicube; they're really gentle, but they have some AHAs and BHAs in them that are amazing.
Y'all have seen me mention this 50 million times before, but sunscreen is everything, especially finding a sunscreen that is going to make your skin glowy. This one from Origins is my holy grail. I've been using it for over a year. I don't know what the science is behind it; maybe it's the ginseng; I don't know, but y'all can literally see instantly, like if you rewind this video and go back to this after I put on this sunscreen, just look at how much more even, glowy, plump, and hydrated my skin looks.
Next, this is another glow-up secret; this is an eye cream from Youth to the People. Again, I don't know the science behind it, but with this sunscreen and this under-eye gel, like this is all that you need. It has caffeine in it, so it's really going to wake up your eyes instantly.
Okay, so while I'm waiting for my skincare to dry, I want to quickly talk fragrances. I think the easiest way, the simplest way to look put together, to feel put together, is layering your scents. Now, of course, I'm traveling; um, I don't have the biggest amount of space for my body care collection, but it should show you that the products that I'm going to show you are truly products that I know in a pinch are going to make me feel put together, smell put together. Your fragrance is part of your look. So the first thing I would recommend is I always try to bring an unscented body lotion or very low-fragrance body lotion. I really like this Bio Lipid Restoring Body Lotion from Nuxe. I also really like Nivea, but I couldn't find like a tiny Nivea; I think it's like the Essentially Enriched. What this is basically going to do is that when you go to layer your fragrances, the when you go to use like a scented body butter or super-scented lotion, the scent gets sucked in by your skin because your skin needs moisture, rather than if you use an unscented body lotion and you put a body butter on top of it, you can smell that fragrance so much more.
Now it's so important that your body butter, maybe even your deodorant, your shower gel, even your mist, should all kind of be in the same scent family. It's a great way to, again, feel put together, but you're layering your scents, so whoever is going to smell you is literally going to compliment you. So I really like this Notori one for my scent layering. Today I am a true vanilla girly. Again, I'm traveling, so these should show you the products that like really matter to me that I need in my bag because I need to look put together when I'm out of town. So I really like this Vanilla Skin by Flor; you all have seen this in multiple of my videos; this is in the Orland family; it is truly a delicious vanilla scent. Now what I will do sometimes is, again, with kind of like the lotion, I will pair an unscented deodorant and then pair this on top because I like to pair this with the Vanilla Skin, also by Flor. These two, obviously, they work really really well together. I get endless compliments on these, but the base of all of kind of my deodorants and everything is usually vanilla, whether it is Vanilla Skin, what it is Vanilla Woods, whatever it might be. I think layering my scent is really important to feeling put together.
I do want to mention aesthetics, so I'm going to mention the things that I've gotten done; definitely not going to say go inject your face or get this done or get this done. I'm just going to tell you the little things that I feel like cut down on the amount of time that I spend on myself in the morning, but I still look and I feel like that girl; I still look put together. Best thing I ever did was get my eyebrows microbladed; it frames your face; it cuts down on the time to do your makeup, and you always look put together whether you have makeup on or not. Similarly, I do my own lash extensions at home. Now the shape changes every single time; this one's a little bit more dramatic because again I am out of town and everything like that, but I could go out just like this, you know, a glowy face, some under-eye cream, and my eyebrows already done, my eyelashes already done, my scent family is already there; like I already look put together, and I haven't put on a drop of makeup. Y'all haven't even seen me in an outfit yet, but I also just exude that kind of put-together nature by these little things. So I have my eyebrows microbladed; I have my lash extensions in.
I'm also going to mention I do have facial balancing, and basically what facial balancing is is instead of just getting jawline filler or chin filler, I have a little bit of filler in my chin, in my jaw, in my cheek, in various different places of my face, so my face appears more balanced. I've been getting this done for about two or three years now. I've gone to two different injectors; I will put them down below; one is a Black woman; I would highly recommend; she is here in Atlanta, Georgia. I also have another injector that I would recommend in New York that I found that when I moved there, but I just find in the morning I look so refreshed. Recently I just got under-eye filler; I look so refreshed without having to do anything; I feel put together; I feel like I look put together; my face is balanced, and again, not a drop of makeup or really any effort. So all of these things are kind of very high-maintenance upfront, but every single day I just do my skincare routine, you know, I put on some under-eye cream, and my eyes look refreshed; my face looks balanced; my eyes are a little bit more open 'cause my lash extensions; my face is framed with my microblading. I didn't have to put any heat on my hair; I just undid my hair.
Also want to mention my nails. Now I typically get a French tip, and I use a shape that really elongates my fingers so they look really dainty and really girly. You definitely don't have to get a French tip, but I like this; I call this like an almond with a point; this is medium to long, personally, maybe even on the long side, but it just it makes me look so classy, and I love this too because kind of the pink underlay; this is Put It in Neutral by OPI. When it grows out, I only have to get my nails done about once a month because when this grows out the pink matches my natural nails, so I always look put together for an extended amount of time even though I don't have to get my nails done all the time. I especially like these because these are gel-X, which means you can do these at home; you don't have to go to a nail salon to get these done; you can even have somebody design this specific shape for you or, you know, shape it on your own; really learn how to do that. I know a lot of people say doing their own nails is therapeutic, but again, having these dainty, put-together nails that kind of all they never really look overgrown because it's not a different color than my natural nail nail bed is another way that I always look put together with minimal effort.
Now for the girlies that do like to put on a little bit of makeup, let's go into my 5-minute makeup routine. This is going to be acne-prone safe, acne safe; it is going to have coverage to it, but it is going to be super super quick. I only really use a beauty blender. I do fill in my eyebrows just a little bit because whenever I do put on makeup, my um microblading does get hidden a little bit, so I like to define it, but this is going to be a super quick way to look put together with just a little bit of makeup. This is my favorite primer; nobody talks about this; this is from Charlotte Tilbury; it has SPF 50; it really works well under the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin. I'm such a big fan of Danessa Myricks; this has some really great skin-loving ingredients, and as you all can see, it's just it applies really medium to full coverage, but it still looks like skin; it doesn't break me out; I can apply it with my hands; it is so incredibly easy to use. Next I go in with this Rare Beauty blush; I believe it's called Worth, but I'll definitely put it down below. I put this on before my concealer because it just gives such a pretty flush, but with all Rare Beauty um blushes, it can be quite intense, so to really make sure that it looks like natural and even, I like to put it on before my concealer. For my concealer, I have been a ride-or-die for the Kosas; I think this is the Revealer Concealer; it is so creamy, so nice. I do experience some creasing with it, but I really just have to go back in and just pat it in. It's super easy; it's like I said, I've had microblading done to my eyebrows, so there's not much I have to do to my eyebrows; again, another way that I look effortlessly put together, but I do like to fill them in just a little bit when I'm doing this look. I have dry skin, so I actually don't powder my face; I just use a really good setting spray; I like this one from Milk; it is hydrating but keeps my makeup on all day long. Then lastly, just a cute lip gloss; these are my favorite lip glosses from Hourglass; so pretty and so classy. Okay, so that is my quick 5-minute easy makeup. Y'all see how put together I look.
Last thing I'm going to mention, and it is jewelry; dainty jewelry, dainty everyday jewelry, dainty high-quality jewelry is always going to make you look classy, like that girl, and so put together. I've really been liking some simple diamond earrings. Girl, I got these off of Amazon; like they last in the shower; I got it off some TikTok influencer who was talking about her gold jewelry or her jewelry that lasts in the shower. Now something that doesn't last in the shower is this Van Cleef; this was a present by my boyfriend, but even if I didn't have this Van Cleef, I have a bag of jewelry; again, I'm traveling, so I need to find a better system for this, but all of my necklaces are, you know, they have a very thin, kind of sparkly, you know, actual necklaces, and then something in the center, something that goes with everything. I think this pair right here, again, it's so simple, it's so everyday, but it's I didn't have to put that much effort into it, and then also, you know, paired on top of that is I have a couple of nice and simple watches, you know, I think I always saw watches for like men until I just realized that a couple of like simple dainty watches like these; this is Cartier; this is a Michelle; again, this is a gift, but I also have one from TikTok Shop that I'm pretty sure you can just find on Amazon. This one is from TikTok Shop; look how rich and lux this looks. I have to get it changed; I mean, I have to get a link taken out, but again, it doesn't have to cost a lot to, you know, look put together and to feel good in the skin that you're in.
