Believe it or not, I am not looking at the camera right now. In reality, I'm reading off of my script that's over to the side. But with the script's new feature, eye contact, you'd never know. I know, amazing right?
And to use this for yourself, all you have to do in Descript is select your clip, go to effects, and enable eye contact. Now you can easily film while reading off of a script or looking at your viewfinder to make sure that your shot still looks good, and you don't have to worry about breaking eye contact with your audience.
Not to mention, it also drastically cuts down shooting and editing times because now you don't have to worry about memorizing and forgetting lines all the time, which just means one less thing you gotta worry about when recording. Doesn't mean setting up the camera is already hard enough as it is, let alone speaking at it. So anything that makes that easier is a win in my book.
