The diary resides under the Home tab on the system, with an overview of your diary items for today displayed on the dashboard.
There are two main views of the Diary available here in the submenu: My Diary and Branch Diary. The My Diary view is your diary, containing any viewings, valuation appointments, inspections, etc., that you are attending. It is possible to filter these by type and also to display any diary items that you have created but you are not attending. You can also store notes in your diary.
The Branch Diary displays all diary items for your home branch and can be filtered by diary item type and member of staff. So, let's have a look at how to add an item to your own diary, a viewing for example.
The diary defaults to today, but you can change the day via the links in the top left here and switch the view between day, week, or month in the top right here. Click on the appropriate time slot for the day and in the type field, select "Viewing". The times in the dropdowns are at 30-minute intervals, but you can type over these if you need to change one or more of them to a more specific time.
You then need to select the property by typing into the address field and then select the relevant buyer or tenant on the system, or you can quickly add a new one by clicking on the "Add New" link and entering their basic details. Then click on the "Add" button to add the viewing to the diary. If you need to make any changes to it once added, you can do so by clicking on the item and then the "Edit" link.
To print the diary for a given day, first of all, make sure you're on the day view for that day and then click on the print icon in the top left here.
You can add your diary to Outlook, your iPhone, or Google Calendar. To add it to Outlook, just click on the calendar icon. This should then prompt you to open the diary in Outlook and confirm as required.
For an iPhone, it is a very similar process. You just need to log on to the system on the phone itself with the same URL and username and password as normal and again click on the calendar feed icon on the diary. This should add it to the iPhone calendar.
To add the diary to your Google Calendar, get the unique URL of the calendar by right-clicking on the calendar icon and copy the link address. Then log into your Google Calendar, click on the down arrow next to "Other Calendars" and select "Add by URL" from the menu. Paste the URL in and click on the "Add Calendar" button. The calendar will appear in the "Other Calendars" section of the calendar list to the left.
The diary calendar is a one-way feed, so you cannot add new items to the system diary from Outlook, your iPhone, or Google Calendar. You will need to add them onto the system, and then the calendar on your device will sync up the new items, usually every 15 minutes.
