New Chinese AI model is insane. Free and open source.
There's a brand new Chinese AI model called N2. It's open source, runs locally, and it's completely free. And on the benchmarks, it's beating Claude Opus 4.7 and even edging out GPT 5.5 on some tests. It's built for agents, strong at coding, tool calling, and function calling with a 260,000 token context window.
I plugged it straight into my Agent OS as its own profile, then raced it against another free model. N2 replied noticeably faster and built cleaner. A free model beating the paid ones, and you can even run it locally. That's kind of wild.
