100% Prayer Answered - Dr. Sharon Stone

Lord, I love you. Lord, amen. You know, when you get into the presence of God like that, you get this smile on your face that makes your cheeks hurt. You know what I’m talking about? You do. It just kind of—it just kind of plants itself there, and you get heated up, and it’s—it’s the—it’s a fire of God burning from the inside, and the glory of God, uh, coming upon you from the outside. We love the presence of God. Amen.

They always rearrange the furniture for me. Me, great, great. Oh, we bless you. We bless you. Do we have anybody here that was at mentoring day yesterday? Well, well, welcome. Your—your stamina all day yesterday and again tonight. It was a special day, wasn’t it? Amen. And I believe this was an incredible special time in the presence of God, uh, tonight. We welcome any first-time visitors here. If that’s you, if you just lift your hand. Oh, welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome. We’re so glad to have you here, and we hope you feel at home, because, uh, we share the same Father and the same brother. Amen, amen. This is family, and so we want you to—to feel like that.

For those of you who don’t know, on the first Sunday of each month we have our prophetic encounter Sunday, and that’s also a time where everybody receives a prophetic word, and perfect teams are operating, and myself and there will be others here that are operating also in words of knowledge. We had—we had people say they had immediate healings that they could physically verify. We had 24 yesterday. You know, it just never wears off. You get so excited by those things, and we even had some—had some that took some steps away from their, um, walker—is that what you call that thing?—um, that hadn’t taken steps without that in years. In years. And so we just continue—I remembered them this morning—God, continue to do that in them. And that was exciting. Wonderful.

Well, I want to welcome you. Welcome you online. We hope and believe that the same presence of God that was with us is with you in that place and that you have this grin on your face you can’t get rid of either, just from having been in His presence. And we love you, and we call you family as well. As well. Tonight, I just want to share a little bit in the—me, and I hope it doesn’t feel too basic for you, because we are a prophetic church, and we so love the voice of God, but sometimes you can have such a reliance in that area that you actually, um, neglect some other areas of understanding in your life. And so tonight I want to, uh, minister to you. I want to kind of share with you maybe a little teaching, but on how to get a hundred percent of your prayers answered. Is there anybody in the room that would like to hear that? I am with you in that area, uh, you know, I’d like to have a hundred percent success rate. Success rate on, uh, receiving what I asked from God for. And so I hope that’s what, uh, you believe, because I believe you can, but you have to understand some things about God, and you have to understand some things about prayer. And so let me kind of take you on this journey a little bit. Tonight. Tonight, because I believe that God’s going to give us an accuracy in prayer. See, we believe God for an accuracy and being able to receive revelation and being able to prophesy out those words to one another, but what about having accuracy in prayer, so that whatever we pray is going to be manifested, where we can zero in precisely to what God wants us to pray in every situation, and by doing so we know that we’re going to receive what we ask for.

And so the scripture for tonight, um, this is one—if it is not marked in your Bible—if it’s not marked on your app, on your Bible phone, you need to highlight it. I found out the other day that I could highlight all my Bible on my phone. I did not know that. And so, uh, that was good to know. First John 5:14-15, the word of God says this: It says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” Thank God, He hears us. “And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions—petitions that we have asked of Him.” I think the real key there is, “if we ask anything according to His will,” and—and I want to hopefully enlarge a little bit on that for you tonight. I love communication continually with God, but a lot of times we get more in the, uh, receiving mode, so that we can give out, rather than, uh, being one that can receive to Him, so we can pray out. And I want us to know how to pray more effectively, and I think it’s very important to learn how to commune with God. We so love what He’s telling us—telling us, but what we tell Him is our prayer. What we tell Him is our—how we commune with Him. And so we need both. We need us speaking to Him. We need Him, uh, responding and speaking to us as well. As well, because this is one side of our conversation. Conversation. Revelation is His side of the conversation back to us. And Hebrews 4:16 says there’s nothing more rewarding than this: It says, “to be able to go boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in times of need.”

You know, after 40-some odd years of being in ministry and pastoring, well, unfortunately what I have found out is many people don’t pray, or they pray very little. Little. And others don’t pray because they’re frustrated because they don’t seem to get what they’re praying for. And yet others really seem to be frustrated because they’re praying, and they feel like it’s a one-sided conference—conversation, and they’re not making the connection that they want to make. And I just want to say, if you find yourself in any of those categories, that this is a message for you tonight. You can be eager to know that God wants to answer a hundred percent of your prayers, and the first way to do that is—is pretty, uh, self-explanatory: Pray His word back to Him. So, uh, repeat that after me: Pray His word back to Him. You know, it’s logical to know that He already wants to do what He said He wants to do. Does that not make sense? He already wants to do what He said He wants to do. So when we pray that to Him, we’re praying in agreement with His will. That’s one way to pray in agreement with His will. So He said it, I pray it back to Him, and then He releases it. And you say, “Well, if He already wants to do it, then why do I have to pray?” The word of God says that we’re to seek and keep on seeking, or to knock and keep on knocking, or to ask and keep on asking. The word of God tells us that Jesus desires that all men be saved, and yet we know that we each have to go before Him and ask for salvation. Is that right? We also know that His mercy and His blood was enough to wash and forgive every sin, and yet He still asks of us that we go before Him and that we repent and that we receive that forgiveness from Him. And so hopefully this is just going to update, uh, and remind you, uh, why you want to pray, and it’s going to cause you to want to pray more daily.

One of the things that convicts me in the Bible—and I do spend an enormous amount of time with the Lord—and my husband says I just hum and I sing all day. I am not humming and singing all day. I am praying in the Holy Spirit. He just hasn’t caught on to that part. You know, I keep telling him that’s what I’m doing. But I have decided I want my life to rival Apostle Paul, that said, “I pray in tongues more than all of you,” and I’ve decided my life is going to rival that. And so I have—God, if you’re at my house, no matter what I am doing, if I’m in the kitchen, if I—I mean, it bothers Greg because if we’re watching TV, I am still doing that. You know, so you know. But you never know what’s going to come on TV faster than you can fast forward, so you better be praying in tongues. Okay. So I have learned, uh, those things—things. But—but if we pray the will of God back to God, how do you figure out what is the will of God—of God? And clearly it starts here. It’s outlined in the Bible, and that means that most situations that you and I encounter in our lives, there is a solution, or there is an answer, or there is a response—usually more than one—one written in the pages of our Bible. Now, um, those things are good, and they either tell us particularly what we need to do, but sometimes it’s not quite that easy. Sometimes it gives us a spiritual law or a spiritual principle that we pray—not just—not just a—a biblical promise. Biblical promise. And if you are going to see all your prayers answered, you have got to understand—to understand, uh, biblical, uh, principles and spiritual laws as well as know the word of God. And it can start right where you’re at, uh, you know, God’s word—the—the Bible—it contains, you know, direction for all of humanity, and often it’s kind of spelled out verse by verse. But like I said, a lot of people don’t know their Bible. But when we pray back the things—things to Him, this is what you’re doing: He says, “Pray that My will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” So when I pray that His will—what He has already said is His desire—when I pray that, I have just given Him permission to manifest that in my life. When you pray what He said is His will—not just the Lord’s Prayer, you know, “I pray that Your—Your will be done on earth as heaven”—no. What is His will? Pray His will. You don’t just pray your will. Pray particularly what His will is, that He might release that, uh, uh, on earth as it is in heaven.

Now, I went in my life for probably—I’m trying to think for how long—long—maybe, um, three—three and a half years—um, praying—praying, uh, to receive a healing. You know, I was in a wheelchair, and I’d had over 150 breaks. My bones were very brittle. I very seldom broke one bone, but I broke several at a time, and I was praying, and I was praying the word of God, and I was confessing the word of God. You know—know, “Jesus is my healer; by His stripes I am healed.” But did you know you can begin to do that by rote and not by faith? You can begin to do that by memory or by culture rather than that being a live, working relationship—relationship, and that—and that operate and stirring up the faith that is on the inside of you. And you know the night that I received my healing—my healing, um, you know, had just broken, um, uh, three bones, uh, uh, two days before that, so I was in a lot of pain, and my brother and I were having this conversation, and he said, “Sharon, you believe in that healing stuff, don’t you?” And I said, “Yes, Tom”—that’s my brother’s name—“by Jesus’ stripes I’m healed.” And I watched this look go over my brother’s face, and you could see his eyes well with tears, because—and he loves God—but he thought, “This woman is just deceived. Just deceived,” you know, and you know it, and I was just saying it. “Yes,” you know, “the word says this, this,” and he just reached over and put his hand on top of my hand—my hand—and he said, “Sharon, healed people don’t sit in wheelchairs.” There is a place that our petition and our believing—our believing—has got to have an action that goes with it, and I’m helping you tonight by getting the right praying, but knowing that when you get the right praying—praying—when you commune with God and He communes back to you, most often there’s going to be action involved. Involved. You know, when I ask for healing in my heart, most often God gives me an opportunity to forgive somebody else, or to bring healing to someone else, or to—or to let go of a trauma or a pain from times past. Times past. But the Bible contains God’s plan for humanity verse by verse, and when we ask Him for His will—knowing what His will is—by—by having that promise—then we ask Him that His will would come to earth as it is in heaven, and we have given Him that permission to manifest. Many of you were—are like me, you know, “By Jesus’ stripes I’m healed,” but I’m not doing anything to create a landing pad for the very prayers that I’m praying. So how do you pray God’s word back to Him? Are you okay with this, or do you think this is too primary? Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Because I could teach this in a kid’s class. Class. You could—you teach a little different, but I could—I could teach this in the kids’ class. So the first thing you do is look for a promise from God in the Bible. That’s it. That’s it. If you need help looking for it, ask someone. Ask someone to help you. If you don’t know how to search topically scriptures, ask someone to help you in those areas. Now that we have Google, it is so easy. You know, it isn’t like before. I remember when I first started traveling and wondering how I was going to write all the messages I had to do on the road, because—because my strongest concordance was so big, and my Knaves, uh, New Testament, uh, uh, words was so big, and what was the other one I used to carry? Greg, I mean, we’re talking what, five-pound books, you know, and so they took up all your luggage space. It was good they used to allow us to have those—that 70 pounds of luggage, and I had so many flight miles I could have it, but I’ll tell you what, I couldn’t carry my own luggage, you know. It had to have wills, because we—we had to do that. But now you can find out those things. So find a promise. Now, it’s a promise that you want manifested in your life, or something that describes where you are right now, because you want to move out of that, and just because I don’t have a better word—if you have a better word, you can give it to me later—or a theological passage that you just want it confirmed or conformed, uh, in you or in your own heart. And I’m just going to say this for you online and for those here: If you are looking for those type of things, there’s a few books in the Bible that are easier to find those things in. So do you mind if I just give you a quick list, and you can watch this on YouTube later and remember: Psalms, Proverbs, Ephesians, John, Galatians, Matthew, and Philippians. Those are just a few, but you can’t go through a chapter without finding several of those promises in each one. So I just want to give you a place to start.

Now, one of my favorite promises is in Psalms 32:8. 32:8. And this is what God says: “I will instruct you—instruct you—and teach you in the way you should go, and I will guide you with My eye.” Ah, who doesn’t want that? You know, I mean, we’re all on that page, you know, that is, uh, God promising to give you and I the very direction that we’re asking for, isn’t it? I mean, here He is saying that. So if you can’t remember any other—so if I were praying this passage—passage back to God—I want to get real practical—I would say something like this: You know, the Bible tells us to pray to God in the name of Jesus, so—so we do that—not like it’s a—a formula—not like it’s a vending machine—but it’s a relationship, and it’s—and—and He’s asked us to do that. But I’d say, “Father, Your word says—Your word says that You’re gonna instruct me—that You’re going to teach me—me—in the way I should go, and God, I come before You right now, and I’m saying I don’t know what to do right now. I don’t know where to go right now. So I thank You that You have already promised me that You’re going to instruct me—that You’re going to teach me—me—uh, but not only that—that You know where I am right now—You’re going to keep Your eye on me—You know, right where I am right now. So with Your eye—with Your teaching—with Your instruction—here I am, God. Would You just direct me? Would You move me forward? Don’t let me sit here. Don’t let me be dormant. Don’t leave me into my own thoughts—into my own just pondering. God, I want to know Your instruction—Your teaching—and I want to follow where Your eye is leading me. Lord, just show me where to go. God, show me what to say, and show me what to do. Lord, I don’t know how to handle things on my own, so today I need help. Today I need that instruction. Today I need that teaching. God, keep Your eye on me and keep me in Your perfect path at all times, in the name of Jesus. Amen.” Now, is that kind of something like what you would probably pray along that line? Yeah. It’s real-life relationship that we have with Jesus, but what we’re doing is we’re praying what He has already said He wants to do. And I’ll tell you what happens: You know, His eyes looking to and fro in the earth—He’s looking for those that will stand in the gap for others—but for them before the Lord. But I’ll tell you what, as His eyes are looking to and fro, I have seen it in the spiritual realm—it is like He catches a signal where there’s somebody on earth that sounds like Him. It’s like He catches a moment where somebody else—somebody else—is holding His promise back to Him, or someone else is saying, “You said, God,” where someone else is saying, “Come be who You said—You said You want to be,” and it’s—it’s as if all of a sudden, you know, He’s everywhere at the same time—we know that—but all of a sudden His gaze and His beam is focused on you, and you’re going to find a release of that. By the way, I was healed that very night when my brother said that to me. I folded up the wheelchair. I got out of the wheelchair. Amen. You know, and it was—it—He shifted me. Thank God He did that, you know, but He forced me. Sometimes we get in a religious ditch, and yet we’re still confessing the word, aren’t we? Aren’t we? But we’re not making it real and living. Pray that My will on heaven—on heaven—would come to earth in your life. So pray that will—that will—not just—not just, uh, confessing His word. I know people—I spoke to someone last week, and they said, “Yeah, I prophesy, but only prophesy using scripture, because then I can’t make a mistake.” And I said—I said, “Well, you’ve already made a mistake,” you know. You know, because you’re limiting what God wants to say—to say. And I said, “You can’t edit, um, uh, what He wants to say or prophesy, because you’re compromising, uh, how He wants to represent Himself.” And the Bible says—says that all of the words could not be contained that Jesus said, so we know that there’s so many more than what, um, are written in the Bible. And so now let me give you an example: What if you’re going through something and your heart hurts and your emotions are aching, or someone’s coming against you, or, uh, or you’re finding someone’s closing a door to you, or someone said something about you—you—or—or something—or favor is being cut off from you, or—or, uh, or you’ve waited too long for something and your heart is sick—sick. Let me just give you—it’s often good to find a scripture in the Bible where somebody else felt that way, and what did they do? And of course you can always find David, can’t you? David is one—dear Lord—that man had every emotion there was in one day, right? I mean, have you ever seen anybody like that? I haven’t. But I want to just read you the first three verses in Psalms chapter 3. Now, it’s really—it’s better to read the whole chapter, but the first three gives you kind of the idea of where we’re going.

This, this is what he said. Many are those who rise up against me. Many are those who say there is no help for him and God. But you, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the one who lifts my head. Psalm translation says, “And you’re the lifter of my head.” God, look what I’m going through. I’m upset; I’m in turmoil. Isn’t that right? You can say these things to him. Uh, God, you see the things that are going on; you see the people that are troubling me right now. This is how you pray this. But Father, you’re my shield. Oh God, I must not been holding up that shield. And you said you’re my shield. Come be my shield right now, that none of those fiery darts can get to me. But God, knowing that you’re my defense, I don’t have a defense in this situation. I may even be guilty of some of the things that others are pointing out, but you are my defense. Come to my defense, Oh God. God, come to my defense. Oh God, you are my advocate; you are my lawyer; you are my helper. Ah, come advocate today for me, for me. Come, God, help me in this hour today. And you always restore me to glory. You’re the—you lift my head, uh, my glory, the one that lifts up my head. Restore your glory upon me. Restore your glory upon me. Before you restore your glory upon me, for me, restore your glory upon me, that others see that when they look upon me, God, restore your glory upon me. Give me back that confidence and that authority. Authority, come and be the lifter of my head. You’re my shield; protect and defend me. You’re my advocate; solve this thing for me; negotiate on my behalf. God, God, and I’m going to rest while you move, in the name of Jesus.

I should have told you all to bring your favorite promise and let you pro—read it up here, up here, because you would have helped so many of us, us to be able to do that. Let me just give you another thing. What if I want—and again, I know I have the wrong word for this—but let me give you a theological passage, um, that you might want to pray. It actually contains one of the most beautiful patch—passage I can imagine, imagine. And this is Apostle Paul, and he was praying for the Ephesians, uh, uh, to experience this in their lives. Ephesians 1:17–18: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of revelation and the knowledge of Him.” Wow, wow. Weren’t we in the spirit of revelation and the knowledge of Him tonight? Wow. “That the eyes of your understanding would be enlightened, and that you may know what the hope of His, of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” Wow. Who would not want that? Who would not want that? Um, I’m going to share with you a little bit later. I get a lot of communication where people send me emails or letters and just saying, “I don’t know how to pray in this; I don’t know what I should do.” And I’m excited that they say that, but the place to get it is the Lord. So you can pray this passage and other passages right back to God. And what would that look like if you were to pray that passage? Maybe I should get somebody else to do that instead of me. Who wants to do that? Did you—come on, come on, Nemesis. Here’s the scripture in front: Ephesians 1:17–18: “That the Lord of our Lord Jesus, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of revelation and the knowledge of Him. The eyes of your understanding be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory and His inheritance in the saints.” This is Yemesi. Everyone, can you bless her? Okay. Father God, Father God, thank you for your—the revealer of truth. I’m asking, God, would you open and and lighten my eyes to see you, to understand and perceive the situations that I’m perceiving that’s happened in my life right now, for your perspective, your perspective. I pray, remove the scales from my eyes and help us to see how big we are in your eyes, Lord, what you’ve already done through the finished work of the cross. Illuminate the path for each one of us to take, Lord. Guide us through the way we pray, in Jesus’ name, amen.

He also said that we would know, know, uh, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. And we pray that, Father. You know, I’d be happy with the riches, God. I want to know the riches in your glory, because all of His riches are in His glory. You know, they got to just make it their way to you, God. You said I would know, know the riches of your glory, God. I don’t know it. You see my bills; you see, uh, me getting by week to week; you see that I survive, and I don’t always thrive. You know, God, you see that I exist, and I don’t always have the ability to financially project. God, connect me, connect me. You said you wanted to give me that—the understanding of the glory of the riches that you have for me. Amen. Lift your hands all over this room, Father, right now. Enlighten our eyes; enlighten—bring us into that understanding. Enlightened means all the darkness you have to go right now. The understanding has to come even now, in the name of Jesus. And that we would know the hope of our calling. That part of that is every purpose, every destiny, the hope of our calling, what we were created for, uh, that we would know that, and that the spirit of, of revelation would be upon us daily, God. We don’t want it just to come upon us when we’re doing, when we’re operating in prophecy, God. We want that spirit of revelation upon us daily, God. Amen. Wow, wow. I just—I could be edified; I’m being notified by this, um, um, amen. By praying His word back to Him, we come into agreement often with His pre-determined purposes in our life. And I don’t want to get into all of that right now, right now. But when you do, again, what it does is you open the door, the windows of heaven, so that they have the ability to come to you, so that you can have a hundred percent of those prayers that you pray, uh, received.

Now let me make a little bit of a shift. The word of God is, is full of answers for you. Many of those are not going to give you the individual directions that you have need of. A friend of mine, uh, uh, today she just told me that she’s moving back to Ghana. You know, she did not find a scripture that said, “You know, My will is for you to move to Ghana.” She did not. So where did she find that—that will of God—to pray to God to get direction for Him, because He just opened up a miraculous door. She just stepped outside; she just opened a miraculous door; she just bought a piece of property; they started building on it this week, and she’s going to be there by May. And you know, we’ll be blessing her and sending her off, and and their blessing will be our loss, but we are still in the kingdom of God together. But how did she get that? The Bible doesn’t say, doesn’t say, “Go to Ghana.” By the way, pray for me, because I go to Nigeria tomorrow, and then the following Monday I go to Ghana. So, um, uh, yes. So I covet your prayers while I’m gone, um, um, because Apostle told me—Ariami and Reverend, Reverend Sylvia Collins—Sylvia Collins—will work me. You know, you know that I, I will know what it is to renew my strength; I will know what it is to be rejuvenated in the spirit, and I will know what it is to, uh, uh, have a little sleep. So, uh, pray for me, uh, in those places. I’ve already started praying the will of God in that place. So, so what is it when you need something from the Lord that isn’t going to be just written in black and white in the Logos Bible? Bible. We have the rhema. The rhema is the spoken word of God. He says, “My sheep hear My voice.” It isn’t an energy. What does He say after, “My sheep hear My voice”? They follow Me. There is a natural transition. If you have confidence that you’ve heard from God, you’re going to act on it. So there’s those of you here: “God, do I take this job? God, do I move to that city? God, is this—am I supposed to marry that person?” The Bible is not going to tell you that. You might say, “Oh yes, the Bible says, ‘You know, My peace and My joy will go before you.’ You, you know, I want, you know, if I’m going to make a life decision, that’s not enough. You know, I appreciate all that, but I need some details as well, right? Because we’re building our lives upon it.” I just was speaking about you, Agatha, while you were gone. So, uh, uh, I told him we’d be praying for you in a, in, in a few weeks, and told him your, your victory. But, um, so what do you do? When I was, was doing what we call—and thank God we don’t do this anymore—but they used to have something, and I’m sure they still do it, it’s just I’m not in those places anymore. In the United States, they used to have what they called the conference circuit, circuit. And I’m almost embarrassed to say that because it sounds like such a religious thing now, and I don’t operate that way. That was when you got to a certain platform, and then the next ones had you on that level of platform, and the next conference had you on that level of platform, and the next conference had you on that level platform. And I had made it, you know, I mean, it was, uh, you know, and, and, uh, I was, you know, oh, I can’t even say I had, had probably the right attitude. I was proud; I was proud; I was elite, you know. I, I was enjoying it; I was—I loved God, but I, I had enough of those other things within me too that were still being dealt with. But I remember, uh, ministry at one of the big conferences in Germany, one of the biggest ones. They do phenomenal, oh, just so amazing. And the worship and the, the word and the, and the level of the revelation and everything. And it was time for me to, um, fly back home to the States. And I was, for whatever reason, there was nobody in first class. You won’t find that anymore, because now they cram us in there like sardines to make sure that they can pay for the fuel, and, and so, so. But anyway, it was the only one first class. So the stewardess said, “Listen, I’m not going to bother you. You tell me when you need something. You know, I don’t have anybody else take care of you.” So instead of me coming asking you, you just ask me if you need something. I said, “Great, great.” So anyway, I’m the only one sitting there, and I, I was just kind of reminiscing a little, reviewing with the Holy Spirit about the trip and how amazing it was and thanking Him for all the things that He’s doing, He’s doing. And, uh, the Lord said, “Um, what do you think Europe needs? Do they need another conference like that?” I thought that was pretty good, God. That was pretty good. He says, “Do you think that’s really what they need? They need—do you think they’re any different because of that conference?” And I said, “No, God, I don’t think they are. I think individually people were blessed. I think corporately Your presence and Your anointing will make a difference, but no, I don’t see anything that’s brought great change.” And the Lord says, “Well, tell Me what does Europe need, Sharon.” I thought, well, He wants this conversation, conversation, you know. And the Bible says, “Come, let us reason together.” There’s times that God just wants to know My opinion too. And I said, “Well, God, I’ll tell you what they need. They don’t need someone like me or someone coming from another country, a professional, uh, someone that, that acts like they know more than what they know, and that they come and demonstrate it and take home a big offering and they have a good reputation and they’re invited back next year. That’s not what they need.” The Lord says, “What do they need, Sharon?” I thought, okay, I’m sitting here all alone, alone on, in the, in first class. I said, “You know what they need? Need, they need someone that will come here and live, and live. They need someone that knows their voice, their experience, someone that won’t ask them to come to a conference, someone that will go to them in their city, in their area, in their church, and that they will get trained how to hear Your voice for themselves. And that would bring lasting change.” God, if You had a people that knew how to hear the voice of God for themselves, for themselves. Now I didn’t notice the little nuance change of God’s conversation with me, but the nuance change was God started asking me, “Would you go?” And I didn’t quite catch on to it. He was already about three sentences on when all of a sudden I realized He changed. Instead of say asking what does Europe have need of, He was now asking me if I would go. And I want you to know this is exactly what I did. I leaned back in my chair; I crossed my legs; I crossed my arms, and the conversation was over. I mean, I was done with the conversation. You know, so many people preach that when God speaks to you, He only brings you a confirmation, a confirmation. I assure you, I had no confirmation of that. That I had never heard about that; I had never thought about that. I had three teenage kids; I was a single mom; my mom lived with me and her old dog. You know, I had just bought a new van; I had just built a new house. And I thought, “Oh, I don’t know.” But something happened. By the time the plane had landed, I knew I was moving to Europe. Didn’t know where I was moving in Europe, but I knew I was moving to Europe because I had heard His will, will. But when you hear God’s will on something that’s that significant, I do believe you need some confirmation. And the Bible says that we should sit in the seat of wise counsel. And I knew that in about three days I was gonna go do a conference in Texas with my father-in-law being one of the speakers, Dr. Bill Hammond. So I called him on the phone, and I said, “Hey, when we’re there, can we get some special time together? Time together?” And he said, “Yeah,” he says, uh, uh, his wife and him, he says, “Come on over to our hotel. We’re staying at the, uh, come over to our room. We’re staying at the same hotel, and we’ll just have breakfast in our room.” So I show up ready for the day for the conference. They’re still both in their pajamas, pajamas, uh, you know, it’s nice. And so we’re all sitting around, sitting on the bed, sitting on whatever chairs there were, and eating a little bit. And you gotta remember I travel and represent their ministry, and, um, um, I’m in a key position in their network. So I don’t know how he’s going to take this, but I need feedback. Because when I have the written word, the Logos, I know what His will is in a matter. When I have need a particular word, particular word, I need confirmation, but I also need some wise counsel and for somebody else to look at it too. No matter how mature I get, you’re never an island to yourself. And so we said—I said, “This is what happened to me on the plane coming back from Germany, you know, four days ago.” And I told him, and he goes—and I—and see, you don’t know how hard that was to my heart, because I thought it meant that I was going to leave my relationship with him. I thought, “Man, I was going to really leave my connection with the ministry, and that I, that I was going to have that.” So to me, I knew more about this was going to bring loss than this was going to bring to bring good, good. And so I’m telling him this, and I don’t even think I’m taking a breath or breathing. I get it all out, and then I just sit there, and I’m kind of waiting for, for a reaction. He goes, “That sounds like God, Sharon. Would you go and represent Christian International in Europe?” Hadn’t even thought that far. And I said, “Yes.” It was settled. While we’re still at this conference, I, I’ve gotten—getting ready to go to, um, Belgium to minister and, uh, Netherlands to minister. And so I’m communicating back and forth with the different leaders that I’m going to go minister while I’m still at this conference. And so I tell them I’m moving to Europe. And so this one in Belgium offers me an office in their building, you know, no charge. “Come to Belgium.” This one offers me a building in Netherlands, “Come to Netherlands.” Got another offer, “Come to Germany.” This is, this is, uh, “We’re offering you, uh, an office here, a home that you can work out of.” And out of those, you know, I realized the guy in, in Belgium, um, Belgium, um, he struggled with women in the ministry, but because he, he loved, uh, the word of the Lord and he loved me, uh, you know, he, and he loved Dr. Hammond, you know, he had made room for that. But you know, when he talked, when he said that to me, I just laughed, and I said, “You know what? I would be a thorn in your flesh.” You know, I realized that. And he says, uh, uh, “That’s okay. I know how to deal with thorns in the flesh.” You know, I do it. Didn’t take much sense to know that was not where I was gonna go. And you know, and I just began, uh, to pray, to pray. This is one of the scripture: “God, would you bring enlightenment about where I should go and what I should do? I just don’t know. Europe’s a big place. You know, where, where is it that I should go?” Go. While I’m still at that conference with Dr. Hammond, I get a phone call from a man I’ve never heard from before, from England. His name is Ken Gott. And Ken Gott says, “We have a mutual friend, Benny Hinn’s wife, and she has just heard you speak in Texas, that Texas, that you’re going to move to Europe. Would you come to the northeast of England, and we have a building that you can use too?” I knew that, I knew that, I knew. Now again, I bounced that off my Father, Lord, to see what He said. He said, “Yes, yes. You know, this is, this is, this is a good man.” I didn’t know him, but that was it. I want you to know all of us, we not only have to, we want to pray in agreement with the will of God, so that all the things that we pray says that, that we will have given unto us, that whether it’s a Logos, we find the promise on the topic, whether it’s a rhema, rhema, we ask for confirmation, maybe several different confirmations, different confirmations. And we sit in the seat of wise counsel, someone that can mirror back to us. Part of my move at that time was I didn’t know what to do. I just built a house, house. You know, what do you do? You have no equity in it. You, I mean, you have a little bit because you just built it, but I just built a home. And so, uh, what Dr. Hammond said, “Sharon, don’t try to sell your home for two years.” And I thought, “Okay,” you know, I bore witness with that, but I didn’t know why. Let me tell you what happened in two years’ time that I—because I was by the—six months later from the time I got the word, my family, uh, myself, my three kids, my mom, we left the dog, oh, we, we, uh, we, we’re here in England, you know, you know, at that time. But, uh, but, uh, 18 months later, the property prices went so high in our area that it was one of the highest in the United States. I told two people I was selling my house, and one of them bought it at the price I was asking, was asking, and paid all the closing costs. I wanted to say this: When I said, “What does it—does it look like to have all of your prayers answered?” There needs to be agreement with God, with God. I think we’ve been trying to get God to agree with us rather than realize instead it is—

To find out what he wants to do, and us getting an agreement with him at that place, so both work. Now, I want to tell you I'm going to treat you like your college age; your college age right now. Let me just go in a different area. What happens when what I've just said isn't working again? I tell you I received letters from people going, "I just don't know how to pray." And so I pulled one of these up today, and this is what part of what the letter said. They said, "I struggle with the idea of praying according to the will of God, since I know that some things are clearly according to God's will, why can't I just pray directly about those things and know for certain they're going to happen?" But that's not the way it works. Uh, with my prayers, for example, I know that God doesn't want Christians to get divorced, but sometimes—but I prayed sometimes that God would preserve a struggling marriage, marriage, and it still ended up in divorce.

And then she lets me know that she was referring to that scripture that we uh have been referring to: "Have this confidence, you know, if you pray the will of God, anything that you ask will be given to you." That seems like such a wide open promise, doesn't it? Doesn't it seem like such a wide open promise? So why do sometimes it doesn't look like that? Again, that again, we got to know something about God that maybe we have it—we have to uh find out some legitimate answers. And why do you need these legitimate answers? Every time you have a prayer petition before God and you don't see it come to pass, it affects your faith. The way the Lord showed me this years ago, and so I've used his example many times, times, was when Peter had fished all night and he caught nothing. And it says that he was washing his nets, and Jesus said, "Let me get in your boat and let's go back out," you know. And it was like, Peter goes, "But I already fished all night and caught nothing, nothing. Why do I want to do the same thing again?" Some of us are like that with our prayers. "I've already prayed that, I already fasted, already prayed all night, I don't see the results of that, so why do I want to go back out in the midst of that?" You know, Jesus—what Peter just said—"Throw that net on the other side," and he had a new strategy uh for him in that place.

But I want to help you; want to give you three different ways that you can—that the Bible speaks about the will of God, because we think there's only one way, and there are—there's probably more than that, but these are just the ones I know. One is God's sovereign will. I see some people pulling out paper and pen; great, I like that. This is when God has a plan that supersedes all time and it's part of his plan; it's coming to pass. He's not waiting on the will of man; he's not waiting on on anything; it's something he has already purposed, purposed. And an example of that is Ephesians 1:11. It says, "In him we are also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will." Amen. Aren't you glad that that you were marked for salvation? Amen. What about Acts 4:28? It says, "They did what your—they did what your power, power and will had decided beforehand should happen, happen." Sometimes it's just the sovereign will of God, of God, that is not a prayer that you come into agreement with, agreement with; that's not what we're talking about here. That is just God being God. What we're really talking about here is the logos, the Bible promises that we spoke about, the direction that God gives you personally, uh his character that he represents himself as—that he's the healer, and he says that he is already by his stripes, his stripes, of purchased healing on our behalf. So that's a promise of God. But let's talk first about God's moral will, and I could do this here in just a couple minutes, so hold with me. God has communicated the right and the wrong, wrong um in the Bible based upon his own righteous character, righteous character. Okay, that is also one way to know the will of God, like in Exodus 20, 10 Commandments; that one's easy. Okay. In Acts 14—oh no, I don't want to use that one. Okay, let's look at another way to know the will of God. The Bible talks about God's permissive will, permissive will. It sounds lesser, doesn't it? I don't know if it's lesser, but but it's there; it's there. And I believe it's because when sin entered the earth through Adam and Eve, it currently allows things to take place in the world that would not take place in a sinless world. Example: Acts 14:16. It says, "In the past God let all nations go their own way." Okay, okay. That—that is what he was letting happen; his permissive will. That is not his goal, um, but God uses it to bring forth his ultimate goal, and that's what he says.

So we have the sovereign will of God, which is what we're going to talk about right now about praying the will of God, but we're talking about the moral will right now and the permissive will of God. Let me go on with this letter. This lady set—and the only reason I'm using um where she's talking about praying for a divorce is because it's a good example; we're not talking to you about divorce tonight. Okay, so she goes on, and um the reason that she's stating this is she had connected God's moral will with that scripture, that scripture, you know, that if I pray anything according to his will that he's going to do it. So we see that she had already did that, so I'm going to pray for him to stop divorce over some loved ones, and he's going to do that. But she is viewing that his moral will is his commitment to everyone, and that's a logical conclusion. So she prays against divorce, and um and um but she does not know why it doesn't work, and that's where we come into the permissive will, permissive will. In Matthew 19, Jesus says in verse four and five, and he reaffirms that God's moral will is that men should stay married and not divorce. But then he summarizes, and he says uh, "Wherefore God has joined together, let no man separate." And then he brings a reaffirmation of his moral will regarding divorce, and uh he just says, you know, "People should be married and not be divorced." But then in the following verse, the Pharisees asked Jesus, "Then why did Moses uh command them to give a law of certificate of divorce and send her on her way?" And Jesus replies this in verse 8. He says, "Because of the hardness of your heart, Moses permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been this way, way." See, God permitted divorce under certain situations; still does, like verse nine talks about sexual immorality, immorality, not because—not because divorce, divorce is in his moral will. Do you understand that this will change how you pray? It doesn't mean, well, what's the difference, you know, I don't know what to pray now. No, no, it's not in his moral—it—it's in his moral will that man would stay together, but but we are definitely those that we—he could also use this as his permissive will. And many times you don't know if something is being used as God's permissive will, permissive will. And divorce is not in accordance with his moral will, but because the world has been twisted by sin, because man has their own choice, uh, it—it says that God allowed a divorce. So if you were praying for someone, "God, I just love this couple," yeah, just pray that they would not divorce, divorce. How do you pray that when you say you hate divorce? God, so I pray that this divorce halts, divorce halts. Now we're talking about the moral will or the permissive will of where it is. This is where it's so important that you are a people that know the voice of God for yourself. How would you do that? You come before God and say, "God, my heart is so grieved, so grieved, God. I—I don't want this couple to get a divorce; I want you to heal their marriage; I want you to build their relationship. God, I'm so grieved on this matter. You know, God, I just opened my heart to you, and you know, I just ask, you know, uh, if there's any way possible, could you just halt this divorce that they're seeking, that they'll not go through with it?" Now again, now again, it was against the moral will of God, but we've also got the permissive will of God at play. You should never pray against the moral will of God, but you have to give allowance for the permissive will of God. Isn't that incredible? I used to pray about my healing. I knew Jesus was going to heal me. Why did he have to wait till he was 27? Why couldn't he have—he'll be long before—150 breaks? Was he getting me in a place? Was I too immature? Was I—did I not know enough? Was I not holy enough? Did I have to earn it? What was all of that? No, he has a promise that says he's our healer, right? Healer, right? Is our re—it's—it's not about a moral thing, is it? No, it's not about a moral thing, but somewhere in his permissive will, I had a lot of broken bones before I was 27, 27. Now I'm not blaming my broken bones on God, okay? Don't say that—I'm saying that—but if you're gonna see a hundred percent of your prayers answered, you're gonna say, "What does the Bible say? What is the rhema? What is the revelation saying to me? What is godly counsel mirroring back to me at this time? And am I trying to make a stand on the moral will of God based on his character when there may be a permissive will of God going on because he's going to do a greater work down the line because ultimately he's going to see his will come forth?" I don't want that to sound complicated, but what it means is you have to be in relationship with him. You're not going to know these things without that level of relationship. And God has already said he wants you to pray, and he wants your prayers to be answered. Um, um, let me give you the story of Joseph. Joseph was sold by his brothers into slavery. That was a horrible thing; that is not according to the—to the—to the uh will of God; that is not even according to the moral will of God. But you know what? I know, because I can look back on the story, that it was according to the permissive will of God, because Joseph said this in Genesis 50:20, "You intended to harm me"—he's talking to his brothers that threw him in the pit and sold him into slavery—"but God intended it for good to accomplish what is being done now, the saving of many lives, lives."

I would like you to update your CV tonight, your prayer CV of answered prayers. I'd like you to update that tonight because so many things that we don't have answers on, and if we're not careful, they drain our faith, faith, or we go into this naive mode, "Oh, one day I'm going to sit on the lap of Jesus and I'll be able to ask him that question and he'll just tell me the answer." There's nothing wrong with that, but you know what? He's not playing hide and seek with me; he wants me to know things more than I want to know things. And so—and so in speaking to you about this simple area of prayer, really all I'm saying is, let's get to know God, know God. Let's find out what he promises us; let's find out what he's saying; let's get in places where that can be assured in our lives; let's know the difference between his character and moral will and his permissive will, permissive will; and let's partner with him all through the journey, the journey, and see our prayers answered, knowing that if you don't pray for the will of God to come on earth, it doesn't. And God wants you to be able to do that, and that's an exciting thing. Now, one of the things that um frustrates me in the Bible is all the times that Jesus went away to pray, and he went away early in the morning to pray, and he—he told the others, you know, "You go on, I'm going to go away to pray." Anyway, at night to pray. Jesus, the third person of the uh—the second person of the Godhead, the one that was in direct communication with God, with God, he spent all that time praying. Why didn't you ever ask why I do—I do? Why did he, who knew the will of God—he was God—did he spend all that time praying? To give permission, to give permission for the manifestation to come to earth, to give permission for that release? Why don't you stand up wherever you are in the room? Father, right now I'm asking that you would put within each one of us a greater hunger for your prayer, that we would see answers to prayer. Father, right now I'm asking that you update our prayer CV, all the things that we have prayed, God. We don't know if they were all in your will, out of your will; some have already proved themselves not to be, but God, we bring those back to you; we cast those things upon you, and we ask you, the Spirit of truth, to sort those things, things, that we might come into a place of knowledge, that we might come into a place of understanding, that we might come into a place, Father, of being able to review and not have to go back around that same mountain again, but that we might have an understanding how to partner with you in prayer and receive those answers even in a greater way. God, we ask that you would heal the trauma, Father. There's those in this room that they have prayed prayers, they have fasted, fast, Father, that they have uh gone through traumas that they've had people ripped out of their lives; they've had promises that they believe that you've said to them, the opposite has happened. Holy Spirit, come be the comforter, be the healer right now in each of these hearts, to bring restoration, to bring wholeness in those places, but also, Father, that we might come into an area of understanding, Father, that we would rather agree with you and be wrong than to—to be superior and say, "I know this," and fail. God, we are asking right now, we want to believe the highest and the best, but we also want to be able to partner with you and understand you, Father, your will, your sovereign will, your moral will, and your permissive will. Father, we want to come into all those understandings. You said, "We have not because we ask not." So God, tonight, tonight, Father, we didn't even know how to ask for this before, but tonight we're asking, God, would you bring us into that area of understanding, which brings us in the area of enlightenment? Will you bring us into that area, Father, revelation? Would you bring us in that area of action? Would you put within a such a great desire, like your son Jesus, that he just couldn't wait to get away to pray for you? He didn't want the next day to start till he had already given permission for the miracles, for that—he had already given permission for the healings, that he had already given permission for the deliverances, because he had prayed your will, will, the day before. Father, we ask that you put that same hunger on the inside of us, and Father, we would not be known as a people, Father, that—that—that oh, they just have uh, you know, Jesus is a crutch; he just uh comforts them and supports them. No, he changes our lives; no, the earth is changed because of our prayers. Just pray in the Holy Spirit right now. [Music] I—I just see—just keep praying. I just see some in the spirit online as well that you say, "But I've prayed for my kids, and they're still away from the Lord. I pray that they would not have to go through what I went through, and look at them, they're going through those things. How come that's so?" And you know, when God can touch you personally in your family, it makes you feel disqualified from interceding on behalf of others that they would have breakthrough when you have not had it even in your own family. Father, right now we cry out to you, Father. We know that it is your promise, and it's part of your covenant will, and we come in agreement with your covenant will that the blessing of you will go to our children, Father, that the covenant will—a blessing will be upon our children. Father, we pray that right now. Father, we thank you that for your will in this area, and we call forth our children, wherever they are, whatever they're doing, and we say, "We release to you the will of God. Stand, serve him, know the goodness of God, know the relationship, know your purpose and destiny in the name of Jesus, and walk in it." Amen. The Bible says that it is a good thing uh that it's a precious thing uh to find a—a—a wife. Do we have any men in here that would like to find a good—a wife? Oh, we have one, two brave men, three, there we go, four. Is that all in the room? If you're not—if you're—if you're single and you're not saying that you want a wife, that means you want to be celibate, okay? So just let me clear that—clear that up for you, okay? So the Bible says it's a good thing to find a good woman. Oh, she's just far more valuable than rubies; that's what the Bible says. I'm—I'm a treasure, treasure to my husband, and I know I am too; he's a treasure to me as well. But—but that's the will of God. He said, "But some are called to be single." The majority of the people are called married, married. So why aren't people finding one another? Why do people have to go to pubs to find somebody, somebody, or club is to find someone? Why do they have to go to a dating site where is more about finding someone that will sleep with you and speak things to you that you—that—that you get excited than it is about someone finding a partner? I've never been on a dating site, okay? I'm taking that from my counseling with other people, other people, just in case you thought I had personal knowledge; I do not. I do not—I do not have personal knowledge of that; I have never been on a dated site. It's before my time. I believe men and women can lift their hands that are looking for a spouse. Father, right now we ask you said that you want us to know your treasure, you want us to know your riches, that you want to uh—uh—uh bless us in relationship, that you want a marriage to look like you and your love for the church. We come in alignment, in agreement, in agreement with your will tonight, and God, we call our partners forth, godly partners, godly partners, Father, Father, uh—uh—financially solvent would be good too; that I'm not calling that God's prayer; that was my prayer. Okay? And we know that you're the healer, so go heal them, heal them, heal me, that I can see the treasure when they arrive, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Somebody else, what is it you're praying for, praying for? We're going to help each other here. Oh, you're just praying for his son to meet the right person? Well, you can pray that prayer over them; that's right. Something different, different topic. Does nobody have any topic? A job, a job, the right job? Okay, help me in this room, give me some prayers. How does she—how does she find the will of God concerning the right job? Peace in the heart helps, yeah. Joy will go before you; that is good. What's that? I'm sorry, didn't you—oh, yeah, you want to work or you don't eat? Yes, eat, yes. What's that? What's that? Open the right door. God says, "I will open up doors, up doors that no man can shut, and I will shut doors that no man can open." Okay, okay. God concerning the job, the right job, I ask you to shut and open doors. If that's—you just wave your hand before the Lord at home too. I ask you to open and shut doors; get me in the right place; accelerate, accelerate time on my behalf. I come in agreement with your will. Amen. See, we do that until a door is shut, and then we think, "Where did the favor of God go?" It doesn't feel good when a door is shut, does it? But it is one of the ways that—

He directs: "I saw someone's hand back here in the back. What was it you wanted to—what was it you wanted to pray?"

"Uh, back standing by the door, about healing."

"That one's pretty easy. Jesus says, 'I am your healer, your healer.' I mean, I don't think he can get more clearer than that. But all of us want it manifested now, is that not right? All of us want it manifest now. And yet Jesus said he did it 2000 years ago. Isn't that incredible? That when he says that, so somehow I have to connect with the fact that it's not just going to happen—happen. I've got to connect to the God that already purchased it. He said, 'I purchased it—purchased it for you.' So that means he's not withholding it—withholding it. Is that not right?"

"So how would you pray?"

"He's the healer. You're going to come into agreement with his will—his will. And yet it just doesn't seem to be manifesting. Someone help me in the room. I mean, these are things you live with every day."

"What's that? What's that?"

"Okay, take authority over what? Spirit of infirmity, come against spirit of infirmity."

"Yep, that's the—that's an agreement scripture. Yes, agreement with his will."

"Someone else receive sometimes because what we're living in doesn't match what he has already said he did. We always project things forward in prayer—in prayer. I don't receive my healing until it's manifested—manifested. I don't receive my breakthrough until, you know, the door is open, right? I don't receive my spouse until he's put the ring on my finger."

"The Bible says, 'I have set eternity in your hearts.' We have to activate that so that you and I can operate in the now. God—God said to Abraham, he says, 'Because—because he—he acted on—acted on faith—faith,' he says, 'and he left the city of Ur,' he says, 'because he—he—I counted that as faith to him,' and he says, 'Let not any man think that he will receive anything except by—except by faith.' It is not a formula, it is a relationship. And so when I get to this place, I know what he's—his will is, and yet it's not manifesting in my body, then what? I come against the enemy that wants to kill, steal, and destroy. Isn't that right? We—we—we know how to do that—that you know. And based on your culture or your color, some of you will quote one scripture, and some of you will fast and pray for 21 days. It—it—"

"What's that?"

"Most of you all know that my father passed away in January, and this morning as I was praying, I was just sitting listening to a beautiful Joshua Mill soaking track, just in the glory, the Lord just started speaking to me about faith, hope, and love, you know, in 1 Corinthians 13—1 Corinthians 13—13, easy to remember. And the Lord showed me that he was taking faith, hope, and love, and he was sewing my heart back together. And the Lord said, 'Because my dad had died—died,' and it wasn't actually what my dad died of that actually eroded my faith; it was the—the other sickness that he'd been living with for a long time that wasn't actually what killed him; it was something else. And—and very suddenly. And—and the Lord showed me that because I prayed for him to be healed so many times, faith, hope, and love had been eroded in my heart. And then the Lord spoke to me out of Ecclesiastes, where it says, 'A three-stranded chord is not easily broken—broken.' And the Lord says, 'I am sewing your heart together with an—with a three-stranded chord of faith, hope, and love that cannot be broken.' And I really feel like that's a word for some of you this evening. Yeah, I'm going to release that. Um, yeah. So Father, right now, in the name of Jesus, for everyone who—particularly those people have been praying for themselves or for others who are sick, where faith has been eroded, where hope seems like it's gone, and where they've questioned your love because of it, Father, right now, in the name of Jesus, we just break that—that heavy weight that has been there, and even where people have lived in condemnation—self-condemnation because they're going, 'I should be able to believe for this, but I can't.' Right now, in the name of Jesus, we just break that heavy thing that the enemy has put on you, where the enemy has tied you in knots with that. In the name of Jesus, we just break it. And right now, Father God, in the name of Jesus, I just loose—loose to—to everyone here and those online, Father God, I loose to them that three-stranded cord that you showed me this morning that you are sewing their hearts back together with—faith, hope, and love. Father God, right now, just receive that faith, hope, and love into your heart. Just see the Lord sowing the broken pieces of your heart. See him sewing together, even now, those places where you're like, 'I can't hold it together. I can't hold these things in tension.' He says, 'No, you can't, but I can.' And so Father, right now, in the name of Jesus, we let go of our attempts to try and hold it together—together, and we thank you for your supernatural ability through faith, hope, and love to restore our hearts and hold those places that seem like an impossible tension. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Amen. Father, right now, we release ascending anointing, sending your people to a sweet night's sleep and sending them to a hunger for prayer as they wake up in the morning. Father, we thank you for that sending anointing. Father, we thank you that you have an appointment with us. God, we want to have an appointment with you. We love you, God. We bless you. And Father, we ask that you would move us into a new level of answered prayers—answered prayers. See you next week."
