Then they told you that crying was weakness, but didn't warn you what happens when you never learn how to process pain. They called it manhood, but it was just emotional neglect passed down like a family heirloom.
Now we have generations of men who think control is love, silence is safety, and that hurting someone proves that you're in charge. And here's the kicker. You weren't even allowed to question it.
Because the moment you tried to be gentle, to be tender, to show up with something real, they called you soft. They mocked you. They beat it out of you and now you're just passing that same pain forward, calling it tradition.
