These Men Ain’t Shit™1:39

Millennial women didn't just inherit the dysfunction. Some of us kept it alive.

We watched women stay too long, stay too quiet, stay small, and we swore we'd be different. But some of us, we became just as toxic. Just wrapped it in prettier words and therapy talk.

We mothered our partners. We weaponized our silence. We called detachment peace. We bragged about cutting other people off instead of learning how to communicate. We weren't taught emotional regulation, but that didn't stop us from tearing through the people that tried to love us.

Some of us used our pain as armor and acted surprised when no one could get in. We demanded softness, but met it with fire. We preached accountability, but couldn't take the mirror. We say we're breaking cycles, but sometimes we're just rebranding them.

But some of us, some of us saw the damage, felt it in our bodies, and chose to turn around. We stopped pointing fingers and started pulling roots. We chose to raise our kids different or love ourselves the way no one taught us. We stopped hiding behind the hurt and started doing the real work.

We didn't get it all right, but we got real. And that's where the change started. You don't get to hold the title of cycle breaker if you're still handing out the same wounds in new packaging. These many ain't. But some of us built homes inside that same home, lit the candles, and called it healing.
