Somebody got on here and they asked the question, they said, "Why are some of the racist white supremacist colonizing mindset white people mad that black people are getting are graduating and getting degrees?"
Well, the reason that they're mad is because they moved the goalpost and y'all still are moving with the goalpost. Maybe ask me, "What are you talking about?" A couple of years ago, having a bachelor's degree for an entry-level position was fine. It was necessary. You went to school for 4 years, you proved that you know the knowledge that you're going to add on to. Essentially, that's what it is. You're going to add on to. Every job you have to train. You're not You don't come in knowing. You may know the broad idea of supply chain, but you don't come in knowing, for instance, Costco's supply chain technique. You have to learn their specific supply chain chain. But, you know what it is. So, you come in, you know the knowledge, you build on to that. So, having a bachelor's degree was fine.
Then they saw all y'all black asses going to school and said, "Let's move it to a master's degree." So, then, quietly, the master's degree started being the criteria to get these jobs. They said, "They ain't going They They ain't going back to school to get a master's degree." Then, black women said, "Hold Hold my cos amidos." and went back to school and not only got bachelor's, went and got master's, and not only would you went to get your master's, you got it at a extremely higher rate than any other demographic in the country, including white people.
Now, you're graduating, and now black women, it is a running joke that black women go back to school when they're bored and get degrees. Now, black women are obtaining degrees like they're Pokémon cards, and they're pissed because they moved the goalpost and they said, "Damn, we moved the goalpost." and they're still achieving. Not only that, black women are going back and getting their PhD and their doctorate degrees.
>> Shout out to all of the people that have degrees and are getting them for meaningful reasons and not because you are looking for the validation of another group of people and you're using racism as the baseline for your conversation and your identity online. Shout out to all of those people and the reason that I say that is because I started back off at community college after I got released down in the 2008 crisis, right? With the whole housing market meltdown and recession and everything. Then I got hired by the University of Michigan, which then allowed for me to go back to school to a major university to focus on my bachelor's. I went into software engineering, which was a very high demand field. A lot of what I see people getting degrees in are things that are not adding value to and or are meaningless to these jobs.
