Thank you for joining us today on this rainy camping trip. The weather is very moody today. The rain comes and goes constantly. Let’s setup the Jeep and cook some food. I am quite hungry after the trip.
I am building a new Molle setup for more convenience. It’s still work in progress. I want to have my kitchen set attached to it, what do you think I should add? Today’s configuration is quite easy to setup and convenient for overlanding. Silly me, couldn't find Ted's bed in the garage today. Got to do a deeper search for it when I am back.
A quick refreshment. An XPA from a local brewer here in Brisbane. Cheers! I love this place, it’s quiet, lots of different beautiful birds, creek right next to me. Alright let’s cook a quick lunch. Always abit nervous to flip it xD I screwed it up few times before. Now let’s setup the chair and the table and enjoy the food. Sooo delicious!
Ted had his food just before we left. I need to watch his diet closely now since he is an elderly dog. We need to keep him fit. Ted just turned 11 years old, but he is still full of energy! Love him! Alright now we can setup a shelter and a tent to sleep and relax. Ted can’t wait to get in haha.
The rained stopped for a while, I think I will attempt to start a campfire. Waaa, really? Rain started right after I started the fire xD I think I can keep the fire alive, the rain is not too harsh. Time to enjoy a beautiful German beer by the fire. I was planning to cook dinner on the fire today, but I am not 100% sure now. Let’s prep the food and see what the situation is with rain by then. I want to test drive my new campfire grill.
Ok nope, cooking over fire is not going to happen today, abort the mission. I will just use the gas cooker with the grill plate. It’s actually perfect for the fish tacos or burritos I will make. Uhhh, yum, look and smells so good! This is for Ted! He will love it! What a nice and cozy day we had, time to sleep!
Wow the cooker goes wild, too much moisture over night and temperature drop perhaps? Not sure what caused this, but it stabilized after a while. Igniter not working too. That was such a nice trip, tested some of new gear, and it felt all good and comfortable. Water everywhere! I usually open the awning in my garage when I am home, it dries over night easily.
