All right, man. This is crazy. This is so crazy what we're looking at here. So, apparently the White House is uh, they're scrambling so hard. They are so panicked. They don't know what they're doing. They don't know whether or not they're coming or going. And they are now telling House Republicans, "Hey, dog, you got to stop talking about mass deportations. It's actually hurting us." Oh, is it really? You don't say.
This is something the left has been arguing forever. Yet again, correct too quickly. They now realize that their mass deportation talk is making Americans hate them. Right? There was that poll that came out not that long ago. I believe the percentage of Americans saying that immigration is a net positive for society, it's at a record high of, I think, 79%. 79.
Okay, so here's what they say in Axios Scoop. "White House tells House Republicans to stop talking about mass deportations." White House Deputy Chief of Staff James Blair privately urged House Republicans on Tuesday to stop emphasizing mass deportations and instead focus their messaging on removing violent criminals, according to sources in the closed-door briefing.
Well, you know, if you want to do that, maybe you should only focus on removing violent criminals. They've literally done the opposite, guys. They were disbanding uh agencies that specifically went after like cartel criminals and human traffickers. They were doing that and telling them, "You better get to the Lowe's or the Home Depot and go start raiding the parking lot, bitch." That's what Stephen Miller was doing, literally. And so if you want to them to talk about only going after violent criminals, maybe you should have only gone after violent criminals.
But see, to do that, you don't need 23 concentration camps. You don't need to send people to SEC COD. You don't need [ __ ] to break the arrest record. Like, you don't need that. You like, what is it, about 95% of the people they've arrested are not undocumented immigrant violent criminals. About 95%. And so, like, you would have to reduce your arrest 95 [ __ ] percent. So, actually do that if you want to just go after violent criminals.
All right. They say mass deportations were central to the GOP's 2024 campaign message. Nearly half, 49% of Americans say Trump's mass deportation campaign is too aggressive, including one in five voters who backed the president. In 2024, a political poll from January found, damn, even one in five Trump voters went, "This is crazy." Uh, Blair delivered the message during a policy listening session with House Republicans at their annual retreat in Dorado, Florida. He encouraged members to focus on deporting violent offenders rather than defending the broader concept of mass removals.
The advice signals a recalibration by the White House. Recalibration and reflects growing concern among some Republicans that Democrats are successfully framing Trump's immigration policy as overly sweeping and indiscriminate. Oh, you don't say. Maybe that's because it's overly sweeping and indiscriminate.
Immigration enforcement has been a defining issue for Trump and congressional Republicans and was a central pillar of their 2024 campaign message. The administration has leaned heavily into aggressive enforcement actions in its first year. But the killing of two US citizens this year in Minneapolis, and reports of US citizens being detained have complicated the politics. Oh, it's complicated it. Oh, okay.
Uh, House Republicans are meeting this week to map out their legislative agenda and strategy for the for keeping the majority in November's midterms. Good luck, [ __ ] the only strategy you got is we got to steal this [ __ ] We got to rig it. And by the way, that's what Trump is working on.
Blair also told members to go out and find real Americans to highlight wins in the GOP's sweeping legislative package last last summer. Yeah, good luck with that. Unless you want to go to [ __ ] Wall Street, go talk to Goldman Sachs, go talk to Rathon, go talk to some like hospital hedge fund guy, right? Like what are you talking about? There is nobody who's who's better off as a result of this. You want to go talk to [ __ ] Elon Musk like getting massive tax cuts? Sure, go talk to him. Oh my god, these people are so stupid.
But guys, the cornerstone of MAGA politics, they're now realizing, "Oh [ __ ] we're actually unpopular." Again, what does it mean to be on the left? Say it with me, you're right too quickly. Have you ever noticed that when somebody on the right wants to try to be popular, they have to steal our issues? Have you ever noticed that? When somebody on the right wants to be popular, they got to say, "I'm against the Forever Wars." Oh, really? That's a left-wing position. Oh, we got to tax these billionaires. Oh, really? That's a left-wing position. Why is it whenever anybody wants to be popular, they have to steal our issues? It's almost like because we have the popular policies. Raising the minimum wage, popular. Universal healthcare, popular. Free child care, popular. Free college, popular. Uh, unions for everybody, popular. Raising taxes on the rich, popular. Ending the wars, popular. Getting money out of politics and ending the corruption, popular. I can go on, right?
But like that's the point. That's the point is they got to come to us. And the fact that they're scrambling this hard means they know internally they must have devastating internal numbers, bro. when they're like, "Quick, abandon mass deportations."
So, um, and by the way, let me also point out like Fuentes will crash out over this and he'll be like, "See, they're abandoning the mass deportations." And that's unacceptable for us true Nazis. But here's the thing. This is literally just a rhetorical shift. You're out of your [ __ ] mind if you think, "Oh, Steven Miller's actually going to tell them, 'Hey, stop arresting all those people. We don't like that.'" No, he's telling them to arrest more. So, all this is is a rhetorical shift where they'll say now, "Oh, we're only going after violent criminals," as they continue to destroy communities and go after innocent people day after day after day. So like don't fall for the head fake. That's all it is is a head fake. It's a rhetorical change. And since this is the postmodern conservative era, they think, "Oh, if we just change how we talk about it, then that equates to a real policy change." No, it doesn't. People are still going to be furious. People are still seeing friends and family members have their [ __ ] lives ruined over nothing, over Dicky McGeez.
So, man, just crazy. Absolute crazy stuff that we're witnessing here. Um, and you'll see, I don't even think they're really going to be able to settle on a narrative because Republican policies are just so gross and terrible across the board and they hurt people so thoroughly that like I don't know if they're going to be able to settle on a narrative. I think maybe Trump will stumble on like, oh, actually I'm the affordability guy or something. Maybe something like that. Cuz what are you going to do? You're going to go out there and say, we should do more war. We love doing war. I've done like eight wars already. Is that what you want the Republicans saying? Yay war. We love war, right? Yay, tax cuts for the rich. We love that. Yay kicking 18 million people off Medicaid. Yay shutting over 700 hospitals because that's that's your [ __ ] record. That's what you actually did. So, you want to own the real [ __ ] No, you're going to have to try to lie, and that's what they'll do. They'll try to lie.
