Donald Trump wants the Epstein files released, is what I would say if I was a MAGA stooge trying to defend my pedo boss. And that is exactly what we have seen over the past week. Republicans disingenuously lie and say that Donald Trump, he does want the Epstein files released. He does want transparency. But of course, they're not being honest. They're not saying what Donald Trump very specifically wants released. And that is anything that is politically damaging to Democrats or his enemies.

But we as Democrats don't care. We just want people held accountable. But MAGA is pushing this lie. And the latest person to do it, Donald Trump's own attorney, just let some evidence slip in doing so. We are going to get into it all. But before we do, if I could quickly ask you to leave a like on this video, and if you haven't already and you enjoy our channel, to hit that subscribe button because it goes a long way in supporting our work.

Now, before we get into Donald Trump's attorney letting it slip live on air and stunning a Fox host in doing so, I want to start with what Chris Murphy had to say about Donald Trump's latest Epstein lie. On Epstein, the president is now demanding or has demanded that the attorney general, the Justice Department investigate his political opponents. Uh, and Pam Bondi responded by basically saying yes, sir. And and moving in that direction. What what do you make of that?

>> Well, it's both heartbreaking and totally unsurprising. Uh the Department of Justice has just become a protection racket for Donald Trump and a witch hunt operation against his political opponents. This is why our democracy is in such peril right now is that for the first time in our history, uh the Department of Justice operates in order to try to punish and lock up anybody that criticizes Donald Trump. Um, I'm really proud of the work that Representative Massie has done uh in the House of Representatives along with Roana. And yes, John Thun should bring that that vote to the Senate floor as soon as it passes the House of Representatives. Um, it's true that Donald Trump is trying to cover up for I think a host of really powerful and rich people, but he's frankly not that selfless. He wouldn't be going through all of this effort to try to stop the release of these files if he wasn't seriously implicated in those files. This is most likely the biggest corruption scandal in the history of the country. We know that because Donald Trump is going to these extraordinary lengths to stop these files from coming out. The Senate should take this vote. I think it'll be like likely another big bipartisan vote and um I'm grateful to our House colleagues for sending it our way. He he he certainly is going.

>> Donald Trump is pitching this new narrative around Epstein that he is calling on the DOJ to get to work. They have to release certain files about certain people under certain conditions at a certain time. Now, there's a lot of people who have suspected that now that the DOJ is launching an investigation, it will use that as an excuse to block the release of all of the Epstein files, which is certainly plausible. But it's also that Donald Trump wants to shift focus to Reed Hoffman or Larry Summers or Bill Clinton, saying that everyone else was involved with Epstein except for him. But what Donald Trump doesn't realize is in doing so, he's reaffirming what we know, that Epstein hung out with powerful people in our government and at the highest levels of society all the time. Meaning that any information on Epstein should be released if it can implicate more powerful people. And that is exactly what Thomas Massie said in his call out of Trump right here. That is very important context to what Trump's lawyer just admitted and disturbed some Fox host in doing so. I think we could have a deluge of Republicans. There could be a hundred or more. I'm hoping to get a veto proof majority on this legislation when it comes up for a vote. And you know, the president's been saying this is a hoax. He's been saying that for months. Well, he's just now decided to investigate a hoax if it's a hoax. And I have another concern about these investigations that he's announced. If they have ongoing investigations in certain areas, those documents can't be released. So this might be a big smoke screen, these investigations, to open a bunch of them to as a last-ditch effort to prevent the release of the Epstein files.

>> I mean, it is extraordinary to hear him demand an investigation and only mention Democrat. So, if Donald Trump thinks that the Epstein files are a hoax and is getting his MAGA Republicans to push that talking point, why again is he going after Bill Clinton, why again is he calling for an investigation? And why again does Donald Trump have to reinvigorigorate, I guess, the DOJ if they closed their case? Donald Trump said that Pam Bondi handled everything having to do with Epste. Cash Patel said the same thing that it was case closed, that it was over. We don't need to look into anything else. So why do we now? Is there more evidence? Is there more to be shared? More to be understood, more to be looked into. That's what Donald Trump is saying. That's what Pam Bondi is saying. And that's what Donald Trump's attorney, or I guess technically the deputy attorney general, but Donald Trump's former personal attorney, Todd Blanch, said on Fox, admitting that there is more evidence, and he shocked the Fox host in doing so.

Look, President Trump has said the same thing since the campaign trail about Jeffrey Epstein, which is that he has nothing to hide. And the Department of Justice has never disputed that. And so what we have done, what we have been doing since January 20th is a thorough investigation, a thorough investigation of everything that we have. We issued a memo in July about that. And President Trump um directed us on Friday to to continue to look at that, which we're happy to do. This Department of Justice has done more than than really any administration in recent memory to combat sex trafficking, to combat any kind of abuses against children, against young women. And so there's nothing we have to hide when it comes to that. And so when President Trump tells us to investigate it, we welcome it with open arms and we'll and we'll obviously do that. That's what we've been doing. Um um but but look, the the the Epstein files, the Epstein investigation is something that is has gone on for over a decade and there's nobody there's nobody that wants to make sure that we deal with that more than President Trump, more than Attorney General Bondi, Director Patel, myself and that's what we're going to do. Um, and so that's that's that's that's when President Trump said that on Friday, that's nothing different that we're going to do anyway. And so we're we're going to continue to find out if there's anybody responsible, anybody that hasn't been held accountable, and if they're out there, we'll find them.

>> Yeah. I think most Americans would say the fact it has been going on for more than a decade, and it seems like nobody nobody's left to prosecute or bring charges against. You can't seem to find evidence is what's concerning to people.

Todd Blanch just gave it all away in that clip. What he glossed over was the most important part. He he said it all by trying not to say anything. Todd Blanch referenced that little report in July. Remember when Pam Bondi said, "Case closed. Everything's fine. Don't look over here. We didn't find any more evidence that was relevant to this case." Remember that? No more evidence that was relevant. Well, now they're saying that they are looking in to evidence that was relevant. So, did it never exist? Did you just ignore it? What did you actually review, Pam? Why were there a thousand FBI agents assigned to this case? Other than the fact that what their real job was was to find Donald Trump's name, to control the entire files and any video, any footage, any photos as well, and scratch out Trump wherever they could. That's what their job was. So what Todd Blanch is admitting now is that there is more evidence that needs to be looked into that is pertinent to this investigation and they just stopped looking into it.

That not only is Donald Trump covering up for himself, but as Thomas Massie has said again and again, while he refuses to admit that Donald Trump is clearly implicated in these files, is that Trump is covering for the rich, the well-connected, the well-off, and they haven't fully looked into with any scope at all the mass abuse alongside Epstein of young girls and women for decades. They didn't look into it. That's what he admitted. And it's why that Fox host was so shocked, saying, you know, the American people are just disturbed. They're surprised. They can't understand. Well, you haven't been able to find anyone. Why nothing's happened in a decade. Well, something did happen. I guess this Fox host just wasn't paying attention. Joe Biden under his administration, we saw the successful prosecution and conviction of Galain Maxwell, who is now sitting pretty in a nicer prison, a having her Door Dash and her yoga classes and her puppy paid for by us, the taxpayer as people go hungry and are kicked off their health care. So, yes, there has been justice. It was brought under Joe Biden's administration. Donald Trump though has covered up any further evidence that could probably further implicate Galileain Maxwell, further implicate himself and other rich and powerful men. That is what Blanch admitted to is that they have not released evidence and in fact they stopped looking at it.

Restarting this case, looking into this evidence means that they did not check it at first because we know what the point of the original Epstein investigation was under this administration was to find every file that mentioned Trump and cover it up. So, what Todd Blanch just told the world on Fox is that all they did through the first few months of that presidency, of this presidency, of this year, this is not distant history. this happened now was find ways to cover for Donald Trump. That is what it was all about. Now, we've always known that, but Blanch is just coming out and saying it, whether he knows it or not. And so, that host at Fox who was stunned that there have been no revelations. Well, uh, maybe just listen to your guest. He told you why. because they refused to look into them until it became politically convenient for Donald Trump to say this is all the fault of Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton was involved and Trump might have blown him, but they don't want to talk about that. They don't want to say that. Todd Blanch, while he let it slip, refuses to actually admit that even though he kind of did, that's the subtext of what he's saying is that back in July we stopped. Now we've restarted and are maybe going to actually do our jobs except if it has to do with Donald Trump. Then they will not look into it. What a surprise that that is. They are weak and pathetic. They will always capitulate to Trump. These people were hired to be extensions of him. It is why I call Blanch his personal attorney because he is. That's exactly what he is. He works for Donald Trump. He let us all know. It is no surprise. It is disturbing, but it is true. It is true. We know who these people are working for. We know who they're defending. That is why I'm glad we have Democrats like Roana who continues to call them out.

>> And there are thousands of victims and rich and powerful men still have buildings named after them, scholarships named after them. This is not partisan. They all need to be held accountable. The Epstein class needs to go.

>> How many Republicans are going to join you? Could you have a veto proof majority? Well, I was hoping that and then Donald Trump started to tweet out saying that he's going to unendorse people like Marjorie Taylor Green. So, it's basically Massie and me versus the White House. I mean, they're calling members to the situation room. But, you know why Trump is losing his mega base on this? The reason he's losing it is he ran saying there's a corrupt governing elite that has shafted you. That this is the Epstein class was forgotten Americans and I'm going to stand up for forgotten Americans. He's forgotten those forgotten Americans. And we are saying that we are going to stand up for survivors, for America's kids, and we're going to hold this class accountable.

>> Ro has been talking a lot about the Epstein class. And I feel like that's good terminology, especially in a moment in which it's clear that Donald Trump's administration, his DOJ, his FBI didn't just not look into him, but didn't look into any of the rich and powerful people abusing women alongside Epstein. because of course they didn't because of course they don't care. But we do and we're going to continue to call them out on this show. If you want to support that, as always, you can hit that subscribe button, leave a like on this video. If you stuck around to the end, drop a blue heart in the comments. Keep on fighting, y'all. Don't let them silence you. Until next time, I'll see you.
