Something happened that I did not understand. Lakini nilijua ni shambulizi. But I knew that it was an attack. Ghafla nilikuwa nakosa punzi. Out of nowhere I could not breathe. Sina recordi ya kuwa na ama. I don't have a record of having ama lakini goes on. Na wakati ulivyokuwa unaendelea nilikuwa napata feeling kama nakosa oxygen kabisa. I felt like I'm lacking oxygen. Mume wangu aliogopa sana. My husband was so much afraid. Alikuwa akiniombea. He was praying for me. Akawa anataka twende hospitali. He wanted us to go to the hospital. Nikamwambia hapana. I told him that I won't go. Hi ni attack. This is an attack. Tuombe. Let us pray. Na in 15 to 20 minutes ndani ya dakika 15 hadi 20 it went away. ikaondoka. So namshukuru Mungu. Kwa hiyo I thank God. Silichukui kawaida. I don't take it for granted. Nilikuwa na strange feelings. Nilikuwa nahisi ajabu lakini namshukuru Mungu. But I thank God. Amen. Amen. Amen. We thank God for protection. Bwana Yesu asifiwe kanisa. I would like to thank the Lord that I have completed my IGCSC from four class. I've graduated. Ningependa kumshukuru Mungu nimemaliza form F na nimegraduate. Bwana Yesu asifiwe. Praise the Lord Jesus. Um kwanza namshukuru amekubali maana toka last week anataka kuja lakini ananiambia naogopa kwenda mbele. I thank him he has accepted to be in the front because since last week he was seeing that he's afraid to come in the front. Um leo nikamwambia twende tutaenda wote. Today I told him that we should go we will go together. Amen. Amen. Namshukuru Mungu pia tumepata shule ambayo yanakwenda kuendelea na masomo. I thank God that we have already got a school that he will proceed with his studies. Axel na Amaris background yao walianza primary through accelerated Christian education ACE. Axel na Aris walianza shule ya msingi they started primary na sulle ya kikristo wanatumia mtaala unaitwa accelerated Christian education ACE walianza kwenye shule ya msingi ambayo ilikuwa ina mtawala wa kikristo sasa baadaye ile shule ilishindwa kuendelea after our time that school could not proceed kwa hiyo ilibidi tuwahamishe hamishe wanafunzi ndio tukawapeleka agakani mzizima so we had to ship them to another school which was Agakan Msizima. Lakini moyoni mwangu nilikuwa natamani sana wapate tena shule yenye mtaala wa kikristo. But in my heart I wanted to them to go to a school which has a Christian syllabus. So tumekuwa tukijaribu sana kwa muda mrefu kuapply Hark. We tried so many times to apply at Hope Park. Hatukufanikiwa. But we did not manage. Mwaka jana tukaomba tena. Last year we asked again. Mwaka huu akaitwa kwenye interview. This year he was called for an interview. Akaenda akafanya interview walikuwa wanafunzi kadhaa. He went and he did the interview. Akajibiwa kwamba amekosa hawezi kuendelea apate tena. And he could not get the interview. Um tukarudi nyumbani alikuwa disappointed lakini tukamshukuru Mungu. Nikamwambia Mungu anajua mipango yake. Tulimuomba Mungu alifunga na kuomba. Tukashukuru. We came back home. He was so disappointed. But I told him that we should continue praying. God knows his plans and we thanked God. Um kama wiki mbili zilizopita tukapokea barua kutoka email from OPAC. Last two weeks we received an email from OPAC. Um principal wa hiyo shule sekondari akawa ametuita kwamba anamuita amuone Axel tena na mzazi. The principal of that school called us that they wanted to see Aelent the parent. Tulikwenda we went. Tulipofika pale when we reached there mwalimu kwanza anamuinterview mwanafunzi and then unaitwa na mzazi. The teacher interviewed the student then the parent I was also called. Nilipofika when I reached there baada ya kuninterview yule principal akaniambia After interviewing me the principal me Akaniambia mimi nimeokoka said I am saved. I'm a born again Christian. Na kabla ya kumuita Axel Before calling Axel nilikuwa kwenye maombi ya kufunga na kuomba kwamba nimuite mwanafunzi gani. I was praying and fasting that which student should I call? Sikumuita Axel by chance ni Roho Mtakatifu aliniambia nimuite mtoto wako. I did not call Axel kwa bahati mbaya. It's the Holy Spirit that told me to call your son. Kwa kweli nilimshangaa sana Mungu na nikaona yaani jinsi ambavyo Mungu anajidhihirisha ya kwamba yupo na anafanya kazi. I was so amazed on how God is revealing himself and how he works. Na ile interview walitaka kuhibitisha kama sisi tutafurahi mtoto wetu akiwa kwenye mazingira ya Ukristo kwa sababu everything they do pale ni Ukristo. And that interview they wanted to be assured if our son will be okay with that Christian environment. Yes. Kwa sababu walisema wazazi wengine wanaenda pale watoto wakipata baadaye wanakuja kulalamika kwamba there is so much Christianity and religious stuff. They say that there are some parents who used to complain kuna ukristo mwingi na mambo ya kidini. Kwa nilimshukuru Mungu kwamba ile haja ya moyo wangu na haja ya moyo wake kwa sababu ni sehemu ambayo tulikuwa tukitafuta kwa muda mrefu imejibiwa. I thank God because the condition of my heart and the condition of his heart we were praying for a long time and our answers our prayers were answered. Amen. Amen. [Muziki] Amen. Haleluya. Amen. Haleluya. Samahani tunamshukuru Mungu pia tumepata mjukuu kwenye familia yetu. We also want to thank God we have gotten a granddaughter in our family. Severina ana mtoto sema ametoka alikuwa analia kidogo ameenda kumhudumia nje kwa hiyo namshukuru Mungu kwa hilo. Sevelina has gotten a child and we want to thank God for that. [Muziki] Amen. Praise God. Amen. We thank God for that. Tunamshukuru Mungu kwa hilo. You see when you read your Bible in the book of Psalms 126. ukisoma bibilia yako katika kitabu cha zaburi 126 from verse 1 downwards kuanzia mstari wa kwanza kwenda chini you see that the children of Israel went back unaona kwamba wana wa Israel walirudi after God has done so many things for them baada ya Mungu kuwafanyia mambo mengi and they were celebrating na walikuwa wanashereheke and people wandered na watu wakashangaa and in verse two it says na mstari wa pili inasema Then our mouth was filled with laughter and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, the Lord has done great things for them. Inasema, ndipo kinywa chetu kilipojaa kicheko na ulimu wetu kelele za furaha. Ndipo waliposema katika mataifa Bwana amewatendea mambo makuu. And ver Na mstari wa tatu. The Lord has done great things for us and we are glad. Bwana alitutendea mambo makuu tulikuwa tukifurahi. And indeed Lord has done many things for us. Na kweli Mungu ametufanyia mambo mengi. And our hearts are joyful. Na mioyo yetu inasherehekea. We are happy with all those who testify. Tunafurahia kwa wote ambao wameshuhudia. But also we are happy with what the Lord is doing among us. Na tunafurahia kile ambacho Mungu anafanya katikati yetu. Halleluya. Haleluya. There is a song. Ukifuatilia muziki wa Marekani weusi, there were people of reading. Walikuwa ni watu wa kuimba. Their music style was very different; mtindo wao wa muziki ulikuwa ni utofauti sana. And when Africa began to grow in music, Na Africa imeanza kukuwa kwenye muziki, I mean to export our music, muziki yetu kutoka nje, we realize that they love our music more than theirs. Tuligundua kwamba wamependa muziki yetu kuliko ya kwao. Yes. Ndio. When you see that song called Jerusalem, Jerusalem. Ukiona wimbo unaita Jerusalem, Jerusalem Challenge. Jerusalem challenge. People are dancing everywhere. Wale walikuwa wanacheza kila mahali, including Arabs. Pamoja na Waarabu. And there is another one; it’s also South African, um… by the Soeto, what? Nyimbo mwingine pia wa Afrika Kusini. It was also very popular. Ilikuwa ni wimbo wa Kikristo, forgotten… it’s the one that they dance and they do like this. Wengine ambao wanacheza na eh wanaojua… watch on YouTube, is dan… including Chinese people. Ukitazama kwenye YouTube, kila mtu anacheza, pamoja na Wachina. African music istivating. Muziki ya Africa ni ya tofauti sana. So we want something danceable. Wanataka kitu ambacho kinachezeka. Besi upo? Mtu wa Bupo Bupo. Eh, hivyo unanijibu kwa staili hiyo? Eh ridhup eh solo solo. Ah, leo ni rhythm hii, rhythm solo hatuna leo. Ehe, kinanda, karibisha watu, drum. Hebu changanya, karibisha watu. [Muziki] Are you ready? Uko tayari? Are you ready? Je, uko tayari? You must celebrate because the Lord has a very special teaching for you today. Lazima usherehekee kwa sababu Bwana ana mafundisho maalum kwa ajili ya… waya waya waya waya. Let’s go [Muziki] my friends. Time has come now. [Muziki] Msijifiche, jiachie. Winner man. When you see me dance, I dance like a winner man. When you see me dance, I dance like a winner. When you see me, I like a winner. Nyumbani mnacheza, alafu in your rooms you are dancing. Some of you are great dancers, please. Bado ni wachezaji wazuri sana. This is the right place for you kujiachia. Hapa ndio mahali sahihi kwa yourself. I dance like who? When you see me dance, I dance like a winner. Me dance, I dance like a winner man. When you see me dance, I dance like a winner man. When you see me dance, I dance like a winner man. Oh, winner. Oh, winner. I am a winner. Oh, winame, oh anyama, oh [Muziki] anyama win, oh… when you see me dance, I dance like a winner man; when you see me dance, I dance like a winner man; when you see me, I like a winner, I dance like a winner. Oh, winner, winner. Oh, iname, sasa tucheze kwa Bwana, twende [Muziki] come on teenager [Muziki] Come on. Ehe, my friend, come here. Come, come, we do it. Haya, let’s go. Let’s go. Haya, free go [Muziki] haya na vichwa kidogo go, I follow [Muziki] Haya, tunainama, eh tunainuka, makofi kwa Yesu; tunainama, eh tunainuka, makofi kwa Yesu; tuiname wote, tunainama, eh tunainuka, makofi kwa Yesu. Tuiname pamoja. Tunainama, eh tunainuka, makofi kwa Yesu. Somebody shout haleluya. Piga kelele, sema haleluya. Please sit down. Tafadhali, naomba ukae. I want to teach you something very important. Nataka nikufundishe kitu ambacho ni cha muhimu sana. Please, thank you so much. Take your seats. Asanteni sana. Mnaweza mkakaa after the service, baada ya ibada, everyone… And I believe you are born again. Everyone, every member of this church, kila msharika wa kanisa hili, please write your names. Tafadhali, andika majina yako, your number. Namba yako, and you tick. There will be some forms distributed here and there. Kuna baadhi ya forms zitagawanywa hapa na pale. They are in alphabetical order so that you can identify yours very quickly. Zimepangwa kwa alphabetical kabisa, kwa rahisi kabisa utatambua jina lako. I want you to write your full name, lakini nataka uandike jina lako kamili, your phone number, namba yako ya simu, and if your number is on WhatsApp, na kama namba yako iko WhatsApp, you tick just before your number, you make… you put a tick there, utaweka tick pale mbele tu ya namba yako. The other details are clear; you can see them on those forms. Vingine vingine vinaeleweka; unaweza ukaviona kwenye hizo form. The reason is, na sababu ni kwamba, I’m trying to get as many people as possible to engage them in different activities in the church. Najaribu kuwapata watu wengi kadri iwezekanavyo, kuwahusisha kwenye shughuli tofauti tofauti kanisani. So when we have your details, kwa hivyo tukiwa na taarifa zako, we will be able to call you when we need to ask you something. Tutaweza kuwasiliana na wewe pale ambayo tutahitaji kukuuliza kitu. When we need to have a meeting with you. Napo tutakaa mkutano na wewe. Concerning what you can do for God. Kuhusu na kile ambacho unaweza ukafanya kwa Mungu. Don’t be scared. Usiogope. You’ll not be asked to do what you cannot do. Hautakwa kufanya kile ambacho huwezi kufanya. And if you can do, but you are willing. Lakini pia kama huwezi kufanya, lakini unao tayari. We teach you how to do it. Tunakufundisha namna gani ya kufanya. But we want as many people as possible. Lakini tunataka watu wengi kadri iwezekanavyo, to be engaged in ministry. Tuwahusishe kwenye huduma, in one department or the other, kwenye kitengo kimoja ama kingine. Uh… the more you serve God, kadri unavyozidi kumtumikia Mungu, the more you get blessed, ndivyo unavyozidi kubarikiwa zaidi. Remember one thing, kumbuka jambo moja, serving and worship, kumtumikia Mungu na kuabudu, cannot be separated, haviwezi kutenganishwa, in the Bible. Kwenye Biblia. You can’t claim you worship, Huwezi kudai kwamba unamwabudu Mungu, and not willing to serve. Na uko tayari kutumika. You can’t claim you serve God, Huwezi kudai kwamba unamtumikia Mungu, not willing to worship. Na uko tayari kuabudu. These two things cannot be separated. Ni vitu hivyo haviwezi kutenganishwa. From the Old Testament, it has been like that. Kuanzia kwenye agano la kale, imekuwa hivyo. Sometimes they would use the words, the words would be used interchangeably. Ah, muda fulani, maneno yangemimiwa moja badala jingine. When God wanted people to worship, sometimes you would say to serve God. Mungu angelitaka watu wamwabudu, muda fulani angetumia ya kwamba kumtumikia Mungu. So we need to excel in that area. Kwa hivyo tuendelee kwenye hilo eneo. And the Lord will bless you so much if you help me to do that. Na Bwana atakubariki sana ukinisaidia kufanya hivyo. So the forms will be available immediately after service. Kwa hivyo, forms zitapatikana mara tu baada ya ibada. The ushers will have them at different locations. Wahudumu watakuwa nazo katika sehemu tofauti tofauti. And if there is any clarification, Pastor Rusekero will clarify at the end. Na kama kuna maelezo mengine yote ya ziada, nitaelezea pale mwisho. For now, Lakini kwa sasa, I want you to open your Bible. Nataka ufungue Biblia yako. And take your notebook. Na uchukue notebook yako, and get ready for action. Na uwe tayari. Yesterday, jana, I was supposed to teach at Dr. Ipiana’s meeting. Nilipaswa kufundisha katika mkutano wa Dr. gani? Something happened, I didn’t. Lakini kitu fulani kilitokea, sikuweza kufanya hivyo. The person who was sent, or whoever was supposed to come and pick me, Yule mtu aliyetumwa, mtu yeyote ambaye alipaswa kuja kunichukua, I suspect they delayed too much. Nahisi kwamba walichelewa sana. Because when I got there, sasa nilipofika pale, that opportunity was never given to me; ile fursa haikutolewa tena kwangu, and I still don’t know why, but I suspect that is the reason. Na bado sijui ni kwa nini, lakini nahisi hiyo ndio sababu. But today, lakini leo, I want to teach you just one of the things that I wanted to teach; nataka nikufundishe moja ya vitu ambavyo nilitaka kufundisha pale, moja tu, moja. It’s just one of the things I wanted to teach there. Ni moja kati ya vitu ambavyo nilitaka kufundisha kule. I have expanded it to fit within our time frame. Lakini nimekiongeza kukiboresha ili kiweze kiendane na muda wetu. I was supposed to teach the prerequisites of personal revival. Nilipaswa kufundisha matakwa ama masharti ya uamsho binafsi. What has to come first before you experience your personal revival? Nini kinapaswa kianze kwanza kabla ya kukutana na uamsho wako binafsi? What things that, when they are in place, someone will experience a personal revival? Vitu gani kwamba vikiwepo, mtu atakutana na uamsho binafsi, that you will begin to experience God in a more closer way. Kwamba utaanza kukutana na Mungu katika namna ambayo ni ya karibu sana. You begin to do the things that you couldn’t do before. Unaanza kufanya vile vitu ambavyo huwezi kufanya hapo kwanza. You begin to make impact in your life. Unaanza kufanya matokeo kwenye maisha yako. You begin to see results. Unaanza kuona matokeo. You begin to go deeper in your relationship with God. Unaanza kuzama ndani zaidi kwenye mahusiano yako na Mungu. To hear the voice of God. Unaanza kusikia sauti ya Mungu. You know, revival brings all those things, plus many others. Unajua uamsho huleta vitu vyote hivyo, pamoja na mengine. But revival is not something that you just say, “Oh, Lord, give me revival, give me revival.” Lakini uamsho si jambo tu unaenda kwa Mungu unasema, “Mungu, nipatie uamsho, nipatie.” Kuna baadhi ya vitu that have to be in place, ambavyo vinapaswa viwepo, for anybody to experience revival. Ili mtu yeyote aweze kukutana na uamsho, certain things that have to be. Kuna baadhi ya vitu unapaswa viwepo. The rest of them I’ll teach you someday. Vitu vingine vilivyosalia nitafundisha siku nyingine. But for you to experience revival, Lakini weweze kukutana na uamsho, for you to see progress in your spiritual walk with God, Ili uweze kuona kuendelea mbele katika kuenenda kwako kiroho na Mungu, for you to have something to show as a result of your relationship with God, ili wewe uwe na kitu cha kuonyesha ambacho ni matokeo ya mahusiano yako na Mungu, one of the things that are very important, moja kati ya vitu ambavyo ni vya muhimu sana, is sacrifice. Ni ulazima wa kujitoa wewe binafsi. You can never make it in life, in Christianity, Kama huwezi kufanikiwa kwenye maisha, kwenye Ukristo, if you ignore the whole issue of self-sacrifice. Kama ukipuuzia jambo zima la kujitoa wewe binafsi. Sacrifice, dhabihu, is very crucial, ni ya muhimu sana, for anybody to advance, kwa mtu yeyote kuendelea mbele kwenye Ukristo, and when I say sacrifice, naasema dhabihu, do not allow your mind to run unto offerings, money; usiruhusu akili yako kukimbilia kwenye sadaka, pesa. No, hapana, money is a very small portion, very small, tiny; pesa ni sehemu ndogo sana, ndogo sana. Sacrifice… there are those things that are very valuable in your life, kuna yale mambo ambayo ni ya thamani sana kwenye maisha yako, you hold them dearly, unayashikilia kwa juhudi yote. You like them, unayapenda; it could be money, inawezekana pesa; it could be your time, inawezekana ni muda wako; it could be some leisure, inawezekana ni namna fulani ya kutaka kupumzika, lakini unavamini sana… like them so much. Unavipenda sana. You don’t want to miss them. Hutaki kuvikosa. And now, na sasa, you are challenged. Unapewa changamoto, release them. Kuviachilia, for the sake of your relationship with God. Kwa sababu ya mahusiano yako na Mungu. Are you hearing me? Mnanisikia? You are challenged. Umepewa changamoto, to let them go. Kuviachilia. Because you want to have an experience with God. Kwa sababu unataka ukutane na Mungu. Some of these things, baadhi ya hivi vitu, there are things that you need to stop doing. Ni vitu ambavyo unapaswa uache kuvifanya. That is sacrifice in the form of abstinence. Hiyo ni dhabihu katika namna ya kujinyima au kuachilia. You let some… some things go. Unaachilia baadhi ya vitu, viviondoke. You like them. Unavipenda. You enjoy them. Unavifurahia. But you can’t have them with God together. Lakini huwezi kuendelea kuwa navyo na Mungu pamoja. A strong choice has to be done. Uchaguzi wa nguvu unapaswa ufanyike. Hard choices. Maamuzi magumu inabidi yafanyike. Some of these things, baadhi ya hivi vitu, are hard. Ni vigumu sana kufanya. The things you have to do, Kuna vitu unapaswa kufanya, but they are very inconvenient. Lakini vikupi urafiki wake wa kuvifanya. Doing them is not easy. Kuvifanya sio rahisi. It is hard. Ni ngumu. Inconvenient. Mazingira hayaruhusu. But because you want God so much, Lakini kwa sababu unamtaka sana Mungu, you decide to do them. Unaamua kuvifanya. That is a sacrifice. Hiyo ni dhabihu. You don’t want to do them. Hautaki kuvifanya. But because you want God so much in your life, Lakini kwa sababu unamtaka sana Mungu kwenye maisha yako, you decide. Unaamua kujisukuma mwenyewe ili kwamba uweze kufanya hivi vitu, for… encounter the presence of… na kuna namna fulani mlango unafunguliwa kwa ajili ya kukutana na uwepo wa Mungu, kitofauti… Sacrifice, dhabihu… you see, you cannot grow spiritually, unajua huwezi kukuwa kiroho, if you are not willing, kama hauko tayari, to offer some sacrifices. Kutoa baadhi ya dhabihu. It’s impossible. Haiwezekani. Christianity cannot be there without sacrifice. Ukristo haingekuwepo bila dhabihu. Jesus sacrificed himself. Yesu alijitoa mwenyewe, on the cross, msalabani. Who wants to be sacrificed… who wants to be crucified here? Nani anataka asulubiwe hapa? Nobody wants that. Hakuna mtu anataka hiyo. Everyone loves his life. Kila mtu anapenda maisha yake. Jesus too loved his life. Yesu pia alipenda maisha yake. But it was a sacrifice. Lakini ilikuwa ni dhabihu. Am I speaking to someone here? Naongea na mtu hapa? Somebody shout hallelujah. Mtu piga kelele, sema haleluya. If you can get this thing in your mind and in your heart, kama jambo hili haliwezi kuingia kwenye akili yako na kwenye moyo wako, it will be so hard for you to prosper in Christianity. Itakuwa ni ngumu sana kwako kufanikiwa katika Ukristo. Somebody shout, “God forbid.” Mtu mmoja apige kelele, aseme, “Mungu potezea mbali.” Sacrifice is a necessity. Dhabihu ni jambo la lazima, in the life of a believer, katika maisha ya mwamini. Inconvenience is a sacrifice. Ile kwamba mazingira hayakuruhusu kufanya, ndio dhabihu. You’re supposed to do something. Unapaswa kufanya jambo fulani. But the environment is not friendly. Lakini mazingira sio rafiki. You have to sacrifice. Inakupasa ujitoe. This is not just in the Christian walk. Hii si tu katika kuenenda katika Ukristo. Even in real life, in normal life, hata kwenye maisha halisi kabisa, maisha… make it to the top, watu wanaofanikiwa kwenda juu, they sacrifice a lot. Wanajitoa sana. When you see an athlete, ukimuona mwanariadha, winning, anashinda, when you see somebody coming here with trophies from the swimming gala, ukimuona mtu ambaye anakuja na medali kutoka kwenye mashindano ya kuogelea, don’t think all the time she’s watching cartoons. Usifikiri tu muda wote anaangalia katuni. She has to exercise. Inapasa afanye mazoezi, when other kids are watching cartoons. Wale watoto wengine wanatazama katuni. For her, she goes to exercise. Kwa hiyo anaenda kufanya mazoezi. Some of you know how to swim. Baadhi yenu mnajua namna ya kuogelea. Try just one time, from one end to another end of the swimming pool. Jaribu tu siku moja kuogelea kutoka upande mmoja wa swimming pool kwenda upande wa pili. 25 meters, 25. The professional… professional swimming pool began from which meters? 25 to 50. Ah, swimming pool ambazo ni za kitaalamu kabisa, zinaanzia mita 25. Try, jaribu. Then you will respect the trophies that are shown here. Kisha utaheshimu medali zinazoonyeshwa hapa. It takes exercise. Inahitaji mazoezi. Sacrifice. Dhabihu. It takes sacrifice to pass difficult examinations. Inahitaji kujidhabihu kufaulu mitihani ambayo ni migumu. When others are watching movies, Wakati wengine wanatazama movie, they are following every series, wanafuatilia kila series, for you, kwa wewe, you take a chunk of time, unachukua muda wako wa kutosha kabisa, study, unajifunza. Sacrifice, dhabihu… when you see young people, utakapoona vijana, with world-class talents, wakiwa na vile vipawa ambavyo dunia nzima imejua, don’t just say they are talented. Usiseme tu wana vipawa. Yes, they had a talent. Ndio, walikuwa na vipawa. But they sacrificed something. Lakini kuna kitu walijidhabihu, to sharpen their talent. Kunoa kipaji chao, in such a way that when they are still young, katika namna fulani ambayo kwamba wakati bado ni wadogo, can get the attention of the whole world. Wangeweza kufanya ulimwengu mzima wajue. Sacrifice, dhabihu… Many people are not willing to sacrifice. Watu wengi hawataki kujidhabihu. We want to succeed in our comfort zones. Tunataka tufanikiwe katika mazingira yetu yanayoturuhusu tu. It can’t happen. Haiwezi kutokea. Because that’s not how the system works. Kwa sababu hivyo siyo ambavyo mfumo unafanya kazi. Are you hearing me, young men and women? Mnanisikia nyie vijana hapa? Are we together? Tuko pamoja? You still have a lot in front of you. Bado kuna vitu vingi sana mbele yenu. You still have a lot of ground to cover to your destinies. Bado mna vitu vingi sana vya kupitia mpaka kufikia hatima zenu. You can’t learn how to sacrifice when you’re young like this. Kama huwezi kujifunza namna gani ya kujidhabihu unavyokuwa mdogo kama hivi, it will be hard to make it in life. Itakuwa ngumu sana kufanikiwa kwenye maisha. Are you hearing me? Mnisikia? Are we together? Tuko pamoja? Push yourself. Jisukume mwenyewe. Work hard. Fanya kazi kwa bidii. Discipline yourself. Kuwa na nidhamu binafsi. You like watching certain programs. Unapenda kutazama program fulani. Exams are coming. Lakini mitihani inakuja. Kick it out. Achana nazo. Sacrifice. Jidhabihu. You like it? Yes. Unapenda? Ndio. But say, “Not now.” Not now. Sema, lakini si kwa sasa. Si kwa sasa. There are people you love so much in life. Kuna watu unawapenda sana kwenye maisha. Every time you get close to them, na kila wakati unapokuwa karibu nao, they leave a negative impact in your life. Wanakuachia alama mbaya kwenye maisha yako. They are not an encouragement. Si watu wanaokutia moyo. They pull you back. Wanakurudisha nyuma. As much as you like them, kwa kadri unavyowapenda, sacrifice them. Achana nao. Don’t stay close to them. Usikee karibu nao. Because they pull you back. Kwa sababu wanakurudisha nyuma. There are difficult choices you have to make in life. Kuna baadhi ya chaguzi ngumu unapaswa uzifanye kwenye maisha… succeed… ili waweze kufanikiwa. Let’s go deeper. Tuzame ndani zaidi… a few areas in which someone needs to sacrifice… nataka nipitie baadhi ya maeneo ambayo mtu anapaswa kujidhabihu… the first one… neno la kwanza… I call it the sacrifice of self… naita dhabihu ya kibinafsi… or you may call it self-denial… ama unaweza ukajiita kujinyima mwenyewe… succeed in life… huwezi kufanikiwa kwenye maisha… if you love yourself too much… kama unajipenda sana… if you can’t sacrifice some privileges that are available to you… kama huwezi kuachilia baadhi ya fursa ambazo zinapatikana kwako… that you want to consume every privilege… unataka utumie kila fursa… you want to consume every right… unataka utumie kila haki… you want to enjoy every moment… unataka ufurahie kila wakati… you can’t succeed. Huwezi kufanikiwa. There has to be self-sacrifice or self-denial. Lazima uweze kujinyima kibinafsi. In John 12:24-26, Yohana 12:24-26, John 12:24-26, Yohana 12:24-26… Most assuredly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. Amini amini nawaambia, chembe ya ngano isipoanguka katika nchi ikafa, itabaki hali hiyo pekee yake, bali ikifa, itazaa mazao mengi. Okay, let’s move to verse 25 now; sasa tuendelee mstari wa 25 sasa… are you there? Umefika pale? Are you with me?
Tuko pamoja. Somebody shout hallelujah. Tumapiga kelele sema haleluya. Say, “I hear you, Pastor.” Sema, “Nakusikia, Mchungaji.” Are you ready to read verse 25? Upo tayari kusoma Yohana 12:25? Let’s read. One, two, three, go. Tusom. “Yeye aipendaye nafsi yake ataiangamiza, naye aichukiaye nafsi yake katika ulimwengu huu ataisalimisha hata uzima wa milele.” He who loves his life will lose it. Yeye aipenda nafsi yake ataiangamiza. And he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Naye aichukie nafsi yake katika ulimwengu huu ataisalimisha hata uzima wa milele. 26. Mstari wa 26. “If anyone serves me, let him follow me. And where I am, there my servant will be also.” Mtu—if anyone serves me, him my Father will honor. Mtu akinitumikia na anifuate, nami nilipo ndipo mtumishi wangu atakapokuwapo. Tena mtu akinitumikia baba atamheshimu.
Let’s add another scripture. Tuongezee andiko jingine hapa. In the same subject, katika somo hili. Matthew chapter 16:24-26. Mathayo 16:24:26. The book of—the book of Matthew chapter 16:24. Kitabu cha Mathayo ya 16:24. Said to his disciples, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” Wakati huo Yesu aliwaambia wanafunzi wake, mtu yeyote akitaka kunifuata na ajikane mwenyewe, ajitwike msalaba wake anifuate. Let him deny himself. Ajikane mwenyewe. Take up his cross. Ajitwike msalaba wake. And follow me. Na anifuate. Verse 25. Mstari wa 25. “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it. But whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” Kwa kuwa mtu atakaye kuiokoa nafsi yake ataipoteza na mtu atakayeepoteza nafsi yake kwa ajili yangu ataiona. “For what prophet is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Kwani atafaidiwa nini mtu akiupata ulimwengu wote na kupata hasara ya nafsi yake? Au mtu atatoa nini badala ya nafsi yake?
When the Bible says if someone wants to follow Jesus, Biblia inaposema kama mtu anataka amfuate Yesu, must take up his cross. Abebe msalaba wake. It doesn’t mean you go to a carpenter somewhere in your neighborhood. Sasa imaanisha uende ukafundisha mara muda fulani hapo jirani kwenye jirani jirani pako and buy mninga timba na ununue mninga and order for them to make a cross for you. Na waombe wakutengenezee msalaba to the streets kisha unaanza kutembea mtaani. I carry my cross. Nabeba—not ambacho kinamaanishwa. No. Hapana. When the Bible talks about carrying your cross, Biblia inapozungumza baada ya kubeba msalaba wako, it means you must be willing to sacrifice. Inamaanisha lazima uwe tayari kujidhabuu. It is as simple as that. Ni rahisi tu hivo. Am I speaking to someone here? Je naongea na mtu hapa?
If you want to succeed in life, ukitaka kufanikiwe kwenye maisha, self-denial is not an option. Kujinyima wewe binafsi sio jambo la utakuna mbadala wake. There’s no alternative for that. Hakuna mbadala wake. By that, the Bible means kwa hivyo bibilia inamaanisha your soul, nafsi yako, has certain things that it desires ina baadhi ya vitu ambavyo inavitamani and not necessarily that they are sinful na si lazima kwamba viwe ni vya dhambi. These things could be good things. Mambo haya yanaweza kuwa ni mambo mazuri. No more things that every person, every human being needs. Vitu vya kawaida ambavyo kila mwanadamu anavihitaji. But time comes. Lakini muda unafika. When you have a stronger desire, pale ambao unakuwa na shauku kuu, for the touch of God in your life. Kwa ajili ya mguso wa Mungu kwenye maisha yako. For some results in your life. Kwa ajili ya upate matukio fulani kwenye maisha yako. Trusting God. Unamwamini Mungu kwa ajili ya jambo fulani ambayo ni kubwa. Maybe you want God to use you. Mini unataka Mungu akutumie. Maybe you want God to prosper you. Mini unataka Mungu akufanikishe. Maybe you want God to take you to your destiny. Yamini unataka Mungu akufikishe kwenye hatima yako. Ministry like me. Yamkini una huduma kama mimi. And trusting God to lift you up in your ministry. Na unamwamini Mungu akuinue kwenye huduma yako. Whatever you desire, chochote unachotamani, kuna nyakati itafika kwenye maisha yako des kile ambacho nafsi yako inasha kuno and you think na unafikiri it is interfering with what you want from God inazuia kutoka kwa kile ambacho unahitaji kutoka kwa Mungu, you quench it, unaachana nacho, you put it aside, unakiweka pemben, you need it, ndio unakihitaj, you tell your soul, lakini unaiambia nafsi yako, “Be quiet, my—nyamaza, zaa nafsi yangu. I have business to do.” Na kitu cha kufanya.
Self-denial, kujinyima binafsi, is when you deny the demands of your soul. Ni pale unapokataa matako ya nafsi yako, for the sake of pleasing God. Kwa ajili ya kumpendeza Mungu. For the sake of worshipping God. Kwa sababu ya kumwabudu Mungu. For the sake of serving God. Kwa sababu ya kumtumikia Mungu. For the sake of what you need from God. Kwa sababu ya kile ambacho unakihitaji kutoka kwa Mungu. Iscounter. Ni pana unatamani ukutana na mungu kito tofauti, but the soul desires other things, lakini nafsi inatamani vitu vingine, and you tell it, “Shut up!” Na unaambia, “Nyomza!” You are not going to get it today. Hautaenda kupata leo. There are people that are here in this service. Kuna watu ambao wapo hapa kwenye ibada. I was surprised when I saw them. Nilishangaza nilipoona. Yesterday, the event. Jana walikuwa pale kwenye event. And it went for a long time. Na ilit kwa muda mrefu sana. And it was intense. Na ilikuwa ni nzito. So I was thinking maybe they will not come to church today. Kwa nilikuwa nafikiria kwamba yamkini hawatakuja kanisani. Naturally, kiasilia kabisa, flesh tell them, mi yao ingwaambia, “Pumzika. Served God. Umemtumikia Mungu, pumzika.” I was also there. Mi pia nilikuwepo, and most of the time I was standing. Na mara nyingi nilikuwa nimesimama, for more than six hours. Zaidi ya masaa sita. If I put together the time I sat down, nikiunganisha pamoja ule muda niliokuwa nimekaa, it won’t amount to one hour. Haifiki hata risali moja. And today I’m here. Na leo niko hapa. They were dancing. Walikuwa naacheza. But I believe I was dancing more than them. Lakini m naamini nilikuwa nacheza kwa shinda wao. The only difference: they were on the stage. I wasn’t on the stage. Tofauti pekee wenye walikuwa wapo kwenye stage. Mimi nilikuwa siko kwenye stage. So if they wouldn’t have come, kwa ho kama wasingelikuja, and they are younger than me. Na ni vijana kuliko mimi, I would be surprised. Ningeshangaza. You are lucky you are here. Mna bahati mmekuja. God bless you. Mungu awabariki. That is sacrifice. Hiyo ndio dhabihu. You tell your—your soul. Unaambia nafsi yako, “Not today. Sio leo. I have business to do with my God.” Na kazi ya kufanya na Mungu wangu. Am I speaking to someone here? Je naongea na mtu hapa?
If you can’t win that battle, kama huwezi kuishinda hiyo vita, of denying yourself, ya kujinyima mwenyewe, there are many things you can’t win. Kuna mengi hautaweza kuyashinda. There are many things you keep desiring in life, kuna mambo mengi utaendelea kutamani kwenye maisha, but you won’t have them. Lakini hautaweza kuwa nay. Hearing me? Mnanisikia? Make up your mind today. Fanya maamuzi leo. If you want to prosper, kama unataka ufanikiwe, if you want to succeed, kama unataka kufanikiwa, if you want to break through, kama unataka kupenya, if you want to grow, kama unataka kukua, if you want to have results, kama unataka kuwe na matokeo, self-sacrifice, dhabihu, no alternative. Hakuna mbadala wake. Jesus did it. Yesu alifanya hivo. The apostles did it. Mitume walifanya hivyo. Those who went ahead of you in faith did it. Wale waliotangulia mbele kwenye imani walifanya hivo. Who are you? Wewe nani? You think you can make it without doing it? Ambaye unafikiri utafanikiwa bila kufanya hivo? Those who told you, wale waliokuambia, “Kwa Yesu, to Jesus, kila kitu ni tambarale. Everything is just easy,” they lied to you. Walikudanganya. There are some sacrifices. Kuna baadhi ya dhabihu. The only sacrifice you’re not supposed to pay, dabu pekee ambayo hupaswi kulipa, is the sacrifice of sin. Ni dhabihu ya dhambi. Jesus gave that for you. Yesu aliitoa. He gave it for me. Aliitoa kwa ajili yangu. You don’t need to give any sacrifice for you to be forgiven. Haupaswi kutoa dhabihu yoyote kwa wewe uweze kusamehewa. You just need to repent. Unapasa tu utubu. You just need to give your life to Jesus. Inakupasa utoe maisha yako kwa Yesu. But the moment you enter in the kingdom, lakini mara tulipoingia kwenye ufalme, every advancement you desire, my—kila kuendelea mbele unakokutamani rafiki yangu, serama yake kubwa sana. The higher you desire to go, kad unavyotamani kwenda juu zaidi, sacrifice. Ndivyo ambavo utapaswa kutoa dhabihu kubwa zaidi. How things work. Hivyo ndio vitu unavyofanya kazi. Somebody shout hallelujah. Mtum piga keleasema haleluya. The necessity of sacrifice in life. Ulazima wa kujidhabu kwenye maisha. One of the areas you need to sacrifice, moja kati ya eneo ambayo unapaswa ujidhabu, is nafsi yako. It doesn’t mean that you die. Haimaanishi sasa kwamba unakufa. For those things that your soul has hold dear, lakini yale mambo ambayo nafsi yako imeyashikilia sana, but they become a blockage, an impediment and obstacle. Lakini anakuwa ni kizuizi, a hindrance, kizuizi, for you to move forward, kwa hiyo kuendelea mbele, those things, mambo hayo, you deal with them. Unashughulika nayo. Sometimes, muda fulani, it will cost you tears, literally tears, inweza ikakugharimu hadi machozi, machozi kabisa haya, tears, machozi, but you have to do it. Inakupaswa ufanye. Let’s go on. Tuendelee. Romans 12:1 and 2. Warumi 12:1 na 2. The sacrifice of your body. Dhabihu ya mwili wako. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” Basi ndugu zangu nawasihi kwa huruma zake Mungu itoeni miili yenu iwe dhabihu iliyo hai takatifu ya kumpendeza Mungu ndio ibada yenu yenye maana. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Wala msiufuatishe namna ya dunia hii bali mgeuzwe kwa kufanya upya nia zenu mpate kujua hakika mapenzi ya Mungu yaliyo mema ya kumpendeza na ukamilifu. The sacrifice of the body. Dhabihu ya mwili. Your physical, mwili wako kabisa. Dhabihu ya mwili huu. The Bible says, bibilia inasema, our bodies, miili yetu, this body that you have, mwili huu ambao unao, that you have to take to the bathroom, ambao unaupasa ukoge, ambayo unapasa uvishe nguo, uulishe chakula, the Bible says it’s the temple of the Holy Spirit. Bibia inasema ni hekalu la roho mtakatifu. That means that’s where God stays. Hiyo inamaanisha hapo ndipo Mungu anapoishi. God enjoys staying inside a human being than just an empty building. Mungu anafurahi zaidi kuishi ndani ya mwili wa mwanadamu kuliko tu kwenye jengo tupu. That body you wear. Huo mwili ambao umembeba. That body that carries you. Huo mwili ambao umekubeba wewe. In which you reside. Ambao kwao ndio unakoishi. That body, huo mwili. If you don’t give it as a sacrifice to God, kama hautautoa kama dhabihu kwa Mungu, you can worship well, huwezi kuabudu vizuri, you cannot succeed, huwezi kufanikiwa, and yet, na bado, ndio huo mwili that has hindered many people from accessing the presence of God. Amaia watu wengi wasiweze kukutana na uwepo wa Mungu. It’s—too much, unataka ulale sana, that’s why you delay to come to church. Ndio maana uchelewa kuja kanisani. Sacrifice your body. Kwa sababu hutaki kujidhabihu mwili. Tell it to shut up. Waambie nyambaza. Mr. Body. Bwana mkubwa mwili. Oh, Mrs. Body. Bwana mkubwa mwili. We are going to church. Tunaenda kanisani. And we are going early tomorrow. Na tunaenda mapema kesho. Stop your nonsense. Acha ujinga wako. I’m tired. Ah, nimechoka. I drag you because I am the one who has authority over you. Nitakuvuta hivy hivy kwa sababu mimi ndio na mamlaka juu. Your inside has authority over your body. Undani wako una mamlaka juu ya mwili wako. Your body cannot do anything unless your inside allows it. Mwili wako huwezi kufanya chochote ni mpaka undani wako uamue. Even when your body is hungry, hata pale ambao mwili wako unakuwa nja, your inside has to decide to eat. Ndani kwako lazima kuamue kula. Your decision comes from your inside. Maamuzi yako yanatokea ndani yako. Even when tired, pana unakuwa umechoka sana, decision has to come from inside. Maamuzi inabidi yatokee ndani yako. Sasa tupumze. Says no. Kama nani kwako kusema hapana, drugajisukuma mwenyewe, to go to church, kwenda kanisani, whether the body likes it or not. Mwili upende ama usipende? Am I speaking to someone here? Je naongea na mtu hapa? Do not listen to that body too much. Usiusikilize sana huo mwili. It will never desire to please God, kama hutatamani kumpendeza Mungu. The sacrifice of our bodies. Dhabihu ya miili yetu. God wants it. Mungu anaitaka. Sa it amesema our body. Anahitaji miili yetu. Don’t give it too much comfort. Usiufanye sana ukajiachia. Don’t take care of it excessively. Usiujali sana kwa kupitiliza. Where it is demanding beyond your desire for the things of God, pale ambapo unatamani zaidi ya vitu vya Mungu, tell—waambie, “Tulie.” If your body tells you, kama mwili wako ukikuwambia, to buy an expensive cloth, of—let’s say, let me not go too high, maybe 300,000, kwa unakuambia ununue nguo gharama yake ya 3000, and you see that, na unaona kwamba, it will endanger your ability to tithe, itahatarisha uwezo wako wa kutoa mafungo ya 10, or to give your offering, ama kutoa sadaka yako, you have a choice, unao uchaguzi, you can tell your body, unaweza ukaambia mwili wako, “Yes, you look good in this type of dress, ndio unapendeza kwenye aina hii ya nguo, but not today, lakini sio leo. There are more important things to do.” Kuna vitu vingi vya muhimu zaidi kufanya. Nyamaza. Hear me very well. Nisikilizeni vizuri. Are you hearing me? Unanisikiliza? Somebody shout hallelujah. Mtu piga kele sema haleluya.
If you cannot train yourself, kama huwezi kujifunza mwenyewe, to overcome the appetites of your body, kushinda vitu ambavo mwili wako unatamani, the appetites of your body, vitu ambavo mwili wako unatamani, if you can’t overcome the appetites of your body, kama huwezi kushinda vitu ambavo mwili wako unatamani, you don’t have a place on the top. Hauna mahali sehemu ya juu. Somebody shout, “God help me!” Mtumapiga kasema, “Mungu nisaidie!” Shout louder, “God help me!” Kwa sauti sema, “Mungu nisaidie!” Shout louder, “God help me!” Kwa sauti sema, “Mungu nisaidie!” You have to, nakupasa ujifunze, to control your body, kudhibiti mwili wako. It is a sacrifice. Ni dhabihu. Sometimes it is painful. Muda fulani inakuwa na maumivu yake. Imagine, God speaks to you and he tells you to fast. Hebu fikiria Mungu anasema na wewe anakuambia funga. Mom says, “You fasted one day.” Mamako anasema, “Ulifunga siku moja.” It was easy. Ilikuwa rahisi. It was your first time. Ilikuwa ni mara ya kwanza. I really desire that you do something. Bring a microphone. You don’t have to stand because I—you don’t like standing here. But people like you, they become powerful pastors later. Ha watu kama nyie ndio mnakuwa wachungaji wenye nguvu kabisa baadaye. Just tell us how you felt in your body and all the—just be as honest as you can. Tuambie kiexperience yako ulijisikiaje kwenye muna watu wengi ambao wanaweza wakafunga kwa mara ya kwanza. Tell them how you felt, the challenges you went through. Tuambie jinsi gani ujisikie na changamoto ulizopitia. I feel like—eh, the microphone, please give him volume. Volume. Hello. Thank you. I feel like one of my biggest struggles was more psychologically that your body and your mind always are used to eating every day. Maybe at certain time. Nafikiri jambo langu lilikuwa sana psychikolojia kwamba mwili wangu unataka kula kila wakati kila siku. Yeah. So that was like one of my biggest struggles. Not only just like my stomach feeling hungry but that my mind was always tuned to want him to eat. Hiyo nikwa changamoto yangu kubwa sio kwamba sana kwamba tumangu unajisikia njaa lakini kwamba akili yangu nataka kula. Didn’t you feel hungry at some point? Definitely. Yes, I felt hungry. Nijisikia njaa muda fulani. It was always like afternoon going to like evening more than morning. Afternoon. Afternoon to evening. How many days did you fast? 19 days. 19 days. Nilifunga kwa siku 19. Club for Jesus. Mpigie Yesu makofi. 19 days. Siku 19. My friend, rafiki yangu, you think you’ve seen the results of that fasting? Unafikiri umeshaona matokeo ya mfungo? You’ve not seen anything. Bado hujaona chochote. It will work and help you and push you towards your destiny. Itfanyia kazi na itakusukumiza kuelekea kwenye hatima yako. You remember that first—utakumbuka huu mfungo—that is called sacrifice. Hiyo inaitwa dhabihu. The body wants to eat. Mwili unataka kula. But you tell it, “Shut up!” Alikuwa unawaambia, “Nyamaza!” Why? Kwa nini? Because you have another important thing that you want from God. Kwa sababu una jambo jingine la muhimu ambayo unaitaka kutoka kwa Mungu. You’re not fasting to lose weight. Au tufungi kupunguza mwili. Something you need. Kuna kitu unakihitaji. There’s something you desire. Kuna kitu unatamani. And then you tell your body, na kisha unawaambia mwili wako, “No eating today.” Hakuna kula leo. The same day in your office, siku hiyo kwenye ofisi yako, where you work, unakofanya kazi, they bring 10 tea with cakes and sambusa. Wanaenda ile chai pale saa 4ne asubuhi na keki na sambusa. That same day you start, ndio siku ile uliyoanza, they used not to bring it, walikuwa hata hawaleti, but that day, lakini hiyo siku, they bring tea—10 tea. Chai ya saa 4ne asubuhi wanaleta. And if that is not enough, na kama haitoshi, they bring another one at 4:00. Nyingine wanaleta saa 1000. And the body is screaming. Na mwili unapiga kelele. You can start tomorrow. Irisha utaanza kesho. Let me ask you: Do we have honest people? Tuna watu dhati kweli? How many of you ever heard that voice, “You can start tomorrow?” Wangapi mwishia sauti ukasema utaanza kesho? How many people? Thank you. You can start. Unaweza ukaanza kesho. Tell your body, waambie mwili wako, “No way!” Hakuna namna. God says today. Mungu amesema leo. Today you are not going to eat. Leo utaenda kutupia. No breakfast. Hakuna asubuhi, hakuna chakula cha mchana, 10 te, hakuna chai ya saa 1000 ama saa 11. I will give you only water. Nitakupatia maji tu. You will eat in the evening. Utakula jioni. Tell it. Uambie. It is a sacrifice. Ni dhabihu. Are you hearing me, children of God? Mnanisikia wana wa Mungu? Spiritual blessings, baraka za kiroho, they come with a price. Na gharama yake. You can just live like that, like everybody else, huwezi tu kuishi kama mtu mwingine yeyote, as if you don’t have a God in your life. Kana kwamba hauna Mungu kwenye maisha yako. You have a God to please. Unaye Mungu wa kumpendeza. You have a God to worship. Unaye Mungu wa kumwabudu. You have a God to serve. Unaye Mungu wa kumtumikia. Sacrifice. Dhabihu. Am I speaking to someone here? Je naongea na mtu hapa? Somebody shout hallelujah. Mtumapiga kelele sema haleluya. Sacrifice your body. Jidhabihu mwili wako. And the reason I’m saying it is sacrifice, na sababu kwa nini naita dhabihu? It’s because it will be painful. Ni kwa sababu itakuwa ina maumivu. It won’t be easy. Haitakuwa rahisi. It will be painful. Itakuwa na maumivu. Sacrifice your body to tell it to wake up early. Dhabiu mwili wako uambie amke mapema, for prayer before you go to work. Kwa ajili ya maombi kabla hujaenda kazini. Tell your flesh, waambie mwili wako, “No more over sleeping on Sunday.” Hakuna kulala kupitiliza Jumapili. Before the service begins, I have to be there. Kab ibada haijaanza inanipasa n imeshafika. That is sacrifice. Hiyo ni dhabihu. But if you keep coming to church, umechelewa, and—lakini kama unazidi kuendelea kuja kanisani, you’re late, na hata dhamiri yako ikukumu, uko tu sawa. You don’t feel anything. Hauhisi chochote. And you expect to break through. Na unatarajia kupenya. By which God? Kwa Mungu yupi? Not by the God I know. Si kwa Mungu ninayemjua. Sacrifice. Dhabihu is part of Christianity. Ni sehemu ya ukristo. You can’t run away from it. Huwezi kukimbia. Are we together, children of God? Tuko pamoja wana wa Mungu. Somebody shout hallelujah. Tumwapiga kelele sema haleluya. Shout, “Hallelujah!” Tumapiga kelele sema haleluya. One day, siku moja, Jesus went to pray with some of his disciples. Yesu alienda kuomba pamoja na baadhi ya wanafunzi w—of them, watatu kati, and they prayed. Na waliomba. When he went back to look at them where they were, aliporudi kwenda kuwatazama sehemu ambao walikuwepo, because he had gone a little bit further from where they were. Kwa sababu ye alisogea mbali kidogo kutokea pale walipokuwepo. He came and they were sleeping. Alirudi akakuta umelala. And he told them, na akawaambia, “Pray. Omba. Pray with me. Ombeni pamoja nami. So that you don’t fall in temptation.” Ili msiingie majaribuni. They were not willing to sacrifice their—their comfortability. They wanted to—walikuwa hawako tayari kuachilia kujiachilia kuachilia mazingira ambayo wanajifanya inawafanya wajisikie vizuri. Unataka tu kuendelea kupumzika. Let’s continue. Tuendelee. Somebody shout, “God help me!” Piga kele sema, “Mungu nisaidie!” Shout again, “God help me!” Piga kel tena sema, “Mungu nisaidie!” Ephesians 5:15-16. Waefeso 5:15:16. Ephesians 5:15-16. Waefeso 5:15 na 16. “Then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise.” Basi angalieni sana jinsi mnavyoenenda si kama watu wasio na hekima bali kama watu wenye hekima. “Redeeming the time because the days are evil.” Mkiukomboa wakati kwa maana zama hizi ni za uovu. Somebody shout, “Redeeming time!” Mtu mmoja apiga keleasema, “Kuukomboa wakati!” Say, “Redeeming time.” Sema tena, “Kuukomboa wakati.” In the Bible, kwenye bibilia, the word “redeem,” neno redeem, anywhere you see it, popote unapoliona, it implies a price. Inamaanisha gharama. It implies a price. Inamaanisha gharama. If I am in trouble, kama nipo kwenye shida, and I come to you, nauja kwako, and I say, “My friend,” nasema, “Rafiki yangu, I don’t have money,” sina pesa, “but I am in trouble,” lakini nipo kwenye shida, “can you give me 50,000?” Je unaweza ukanipatia 50,000, and stay with this. Nabaki na hii. When I get—
My money, nikipata pesa yangu, I come, nitakuja. And give it to your money. You give it back to me. Nakurudishia pesa yako, utanirudishia kitu changu. The act of coming back. Tendo la kurudi, giving my friend money. Nikimrudishia pesa rafiki yangu. Taking my property. Na nikachukua mali yangu. I am redeeming this. Hapo nakomboa hii, with a price, kwa gharama.
When the Bible says redeem time, Biblia inasema ukomboe wakati, it simply means, kirahisi kabisa inamaanisha, for you to keep time. Ili weze kuendana na muda, you need to pay a price. Na kupasawa ulipe gharama. Not easy. Si rahisi. There's a season for everything. Kuna majira kwenye kila jambo. There's a purpose for everything. Kuna kusudi kwenye kila jambo. Everything has got its own time. Kila kitu kina muda wake. In the eyes of God, Katika macho ya Mungu, there is a schedule for your life. Kuna ratiba kwa ajili ya maisha yako. Things are lined up to happen at particular moments. Vitu vimepangiliwa kutokea katika wakati fulani maalum. If you miss one. Ukikosea kimoja, itakugharimu sana. But for you to keep up with that time. Lakini weweze kuendana huo muda. There's a price to pay. Iko gharama ya kulipa. That's the reason why. Hiyo ndio sababu kwamba, many people today are in trouble. Watu wengi leo wapo katika shida. Many people are living in absolute poverty. Watu wengi wanaishi kwenye umaskini uliopindukia, because they didn't pay the price of time. Kwa sababu hawakulipa gharama ya muda. For you to be able to move with God's timing. Ili uweze kuenenda na muda wa Mungu. So that things will keep happening in your life. Ili kwamba vitu viendelee kutokea kwenye maisha yako. Kuelekea kwenye hatima yako. There are certain things. Kuna baadhi ya vitu, cann postpon them. Huwezi kuviahirisha. By any price, kwa gharama yoyote ile, you have to do them now and it has to be now. Inakupaswa ufanye sasa na inapaswa iwe sasa. To keep up your time with God, ili uweze kuendana na Mungu katika muda, isive. Ni gharama sana. Because some of things, kwa sababu baadhi ya hivi vitu, collide with you like. Vinaingilia kati kwenye vile vitu unavyovipenda.
What sport do you like watching? Napenda mchezo gani? Eh, football. Team do you cheer you like? Timu gani? Timu y Manchester. Eh, Chelsea. Chelsea. And you Liverpool. Liverpool. Na wewe pia unashabikia mpira? Ndio. Are you football fan? Nataka nikuulize yeye anakuja kukuuliza. Unapenda timu gani? Eh, Manchester City. Manchester City. You know all these teams, they are saying, I cannot tell you one player. I can't. Hizi zote siwezi kutajia hata mchezaji mmoja, siwezi. Serious? I'm serious about it. Kweli kabisa, niko serious. If you ask me football players, ukiniuliza mimi wacheza mpira wa miguu, I know a few names, najua majina machache sana, Ronaldo. Nitakuambia Ronaldo. I tell you, nakuambia, nakuambia Messi. Because I've heard people talk about them so much. Nao pia timu zao sizijui. Nimeona watu wakiongea sana. I will tell you, Jambia, Jj, where are you laughing at me? If you ask me boxers, I tell you who is rising now, ukiniuliza maswala ya wan, nitakuambia nani anainuka saa hizi, imagine miguu, sa fikiria, they say you said what, ch chesi is playing against Manchest, Liverpool, Liverpool on Friday evening, Ijumaa jioni, and there's a church meeting, na kuna mkutano kanisani hapo sasa, do you understand where I'm going now, unaelewana kuelekea sasa, you have a God to worship, unaye Mungu wa kumwabud, unaye Mungu wa kumtumikia, You have a God to pleas, unaye Mungu wa kumpendeza, where will your decision go? Maamuzi yako yatachagua kipi? Where are you going to put your time? Muda wako utu uelekeza wapi? Football, mpira wa miguu, or church service, ama ibada ya jumapili? Ibada ya kanisani. It's not easy to keep time. Si rahisi kuendana na muda. Now you understand what I mean. Sasa unaelewa ninachomaliza? Time has to beedemed. Muda unapaswa ukombolewa. Forze kuendana na muda. Another thing you have to sacrifice. Kuna jambo jingine pasa ulitoe. Don't think the devil come with extra hours in a day. Usifikiri shetani anakuja na masaa ya ziada ndani ya siku. Today there's football. Leo kuna mpira wa miguu. I'm giving you three more hours. There will be 27 hours to, nakuongezea masaa mengine matatu. Kwa hiyo leo hii siku itakuwa na mw? Hapana. sacrifice. Kuna kila kitu ambacho unapaswa ukiachilie. [Muziki] That's how you redeem time. Hivyo ndivyo unavyokomboa wakati. You sacrifice something else. Unaachilia kitu kingine. As a price, kama gharama, for you to use that time, yawe kutumia huo muda, for what is more important in your life, kwa kile ambacho ni cha muhimu zaidi kwenye maisha yako, I can finish today, siwezi kumaliza leo, up naomba usimame.
The necessity of sacrifice in the life of a believer. Lazima ama umuhimu wa dhabihu katika maisha ya mwamini. You want to prosper. Unataka kufanikiwa. You want to serve God. Unataka kumtumikia Mungu. You want to live holy life. Unataka uishi maisha matakatifu. You want to excel in your life. Unataka ufanikiwe kwenye maisha yako. You want to reach your destiny. Unakaufikie hatima yako. You want to see the realization of your dreams. Unataka uone ndoto zako zikitimia. There must be a sacrifice. Lazima kuwa kuna dhabihu. You young people hear me very well. Nyinyi vijana hapa nisikieni vizuri. If you forget what I taught you today. Kama utasahau kitu ambacho nimefundisha leo. If you forget what I taught you today, Kama utasahau kile ambacho nimefundisha leo, you risking your future. Unahatarisha hatima yako. You a Christian. Wewe ni mkristo. You are risking your future. Unahatarisha hatima yako. Learn how to use your time well. Jifunze namna gani ya kutumia muda wako vizuri. Learn how to force your bodies. Jifunze namna gani ya kulazimisha miili yenu. Kumpendeza Mungu. Even ifaful. Hata kama ina maumivu, even if it is inconvenient, hata kama mazingira yaakuruhusu, push yourself, jisukume mwenyewe. Are you hearing me my daughter? Unanisikia binti yangu? Unanisikia vyema? Sacrifice. Dhabihu. There are many others that I'll teach God willing as we go. Kuna mambo mengine nitafundisha ikimpendeza Mungu tunapoendelea mbele. For those of you who are mature enough. Kwa ninyi ambao mmekomaa vya kutosha, you can add on the list yourself. Unaweza unaweza ukaongeza kwenye orodha. What other sacrifice that you can give? Dhabihu gani nyingine pia ambayo unaweza ukatoa? You can add on the list. If you mature, you can add on the list. Unaweza ukaongezea kwenye orodha. The sacrifice of self, dhabihu ya kujitoa mwenyewe. Sometimes, muda fulani, you have to sacrifice your dignity. Inakupasa uachilie ile hadhi yako, for the sake of Jesus. kwa ajili ya Yesu. And this is what is causing many people not to preach Jesus. Na hiki ndio ambacho kinasababisha watu wengi sana wasimhubiri Yesu. Because they think they are too dignified. Kwa sababu wanafikiri hadhi yao ni kubwa sana. Ke talking about religious, hawawezi ukendelea kuongelea maswala ya injili, maswala ya dini. Wanafikiri hadhi yao ni kubwa sana. Really, kweli? The necessity of sacrifice in the life of a believer. Ulazima wa kujitoa dhabihu katika maisha ya mkristo, you have to sacrifice. Inakupasa ujidhabihu. God is looking for people. Mungu anatafuta watu, in many areas, katika maeneo mengi, to lift you up. Ili kukuinua. But people are not willing to sacrifice even the smallest sacrifice. Lakini watu hawapo tayari kutoa dhabihu hata zile dhabihu ndogo. They want everything in their spiritual work to be in a comfort zone. Wanataka kila kitu katika kuenenda kwao katika kiroho iwe tu mazingira yanaruhusu, what do we have, Lord, prepare to be a sanctuary, pure and holy. Listen. Sikiliza. As we sing this song, napoimba wimbo huu, if you really detect in your spirit that you have a big challenge in this area of sacrificing, kama umundua katika roho kwamba una changamoto kubwa sana katika ile eneo la kujitoa dhabihu, I want you to present yourself at the altar, nataka uje hapa mbele, just sing standing from this place, uimb Kimbe ukiwa umesimama hapa mbele, and begin to speak to your God, naanza kusema na Mungu wako, that oh Lord, kwamba eh Bwana, from today, kuanzia leo, I want to change direction, nataka nibadilishe uelekeo, give me the courage, nipe ujasiri, give me the faith, nipe imani, give me the audacity, nipe kujaribu, to give any sacrifice that I'm supposed to give, kutoa dhabio yoyote ambayo inanipasa kutoa, I am ready and I am willing, niko tayari na niko tayari, can come if you have that challenge, unaweza ukaja hapa mbele kama una hiyo changamoto, Stand here.
