I Need To Fix My TOP 100 Games Of ALL TIME…

All right, my good people. So, today I'm going to be going through my top 100 games of all time. Making some adjustments, making some changes to my list, adding games, removing games. I think my cuto off when I initially did my top 100 was 2024 and 2025 games were not included. I'm just going to open the pool up today. We're going to add whatever needs to be added. Remove whatever needs to be removed. And I felt like this would be a kind of cool thing to do periodically and just update my top 100 favorite games of all time list. And I felt it would be a fun way to kind of kick it off by going through my tier list of my game of the year rankings for 2024 and 2025 to decide which of these games probably need to be included in my top 100. And I guess you started off right there with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle being my game of the year for 2024. This is really a no-brainer. This will definitely end up in my top 100 favorite games of all time list. I I don't really know about the placement. We'll figure all of that out as we go through it. But I just think it was really innovative in a weird way. You don't necessarily expect that from licensed IP all that often in the game space and adaptation in the game space of whatever. Especially, you know, uh, Indiana Jones, you're thinking you're going to get something very Tomb Raider reminiscent, very Uncharted reminiscent, but it kind of had its own flare, its own flavor, firsterson immersive sim elements, very improvisational combat, just it was doing a lot of of really odd things that just spoke to me on a personal level. So, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, that's a absolute lock for my top 100 without a doubt. Damn, it's kind of wild looking back.

And Dragons Dogma 2 is my second favorite game of 2024. I don't know if I would place Dragons Dogma 2 in my top 100 favorite games of all time. We should Let me pull up my top 100 favorite games of all time. That way we can kind of compare and contrast a little bit here. So really the question that I'm having to ask myself is like do I enjoy Dragons Dogma 2 more than Spider-Man 2 or Freedom Fighters or 007 Everything or Nothing Plague Telltale Innocence? I don't think so. That that's really really wild because Indiana Jones might climb pretty high in my overall top 100 favorite games of all time. But the drop off just in terms of like number one my favorite game of 2024 being maybe in my top 30 favorite games ever to my second favorite game of 2024 not even making my top 100. But I think, you know, you need to look through these lists in their entirety just to see if there's anything that because it's been two years since I've made this list or a year and 6 months, whatever, since I've made this list. And things can change in your mind, even if it's not necessarily you going back and replaying something, reexperiencing something. Just certain games age better in your mind than others. And I think Dragons Dogma 2, unfortunately, is a game that kind of ages poorly in my mind. Like, I adored this thing whenever I was playing it. But it it's I think that whenever you have a weak ass story, whenever you have nothing in the the storytelling department, you just the lasting impact isn't often there for me as much. Like I remember having so much fun with the combat. I loved the combat so much. I I I've talked about it before, but it's like my dream to get this style of combat in The Witcher 4. And I I kind of expect something of this quality of combat for The Witcher 4 with the $800 million budget and all that, but I just I don't really think back to this. I I the ending of Dragon Stma 2 is kind of cool, but I don't really think back to many memorable moments other than a few like combat ccentric moments. So yeah, it's just like and I I I don't think about that as much like whenever I I years down the line.

Immortality is a really great example of this where you know what, we need to maybe have a conversation about that because Immortality isn't in my top 100 favorite games of all time either, but it's a game I think about nonstop after after playing it. And whenever, you know, the year it came out, I I don't even know if it was in my top 10 favorite games of 2022, but it's just burned in my memory. Moments, characters, decisions. Like there's these things that just stick with me and in a way that I I undoubtedly had more fun playing Dragons Dogma 2 than I had fun playing Immortality, but it just doesn't stick with me the same way. So, this is my list from 2022 of my, you know, favorite games of 2022, the tier list. And immortality would be 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 nine in my top, you know, 10 or whatever. And that's so funny because I have like As Dusk Falls ahead of it. And I definitely would not place As Dusk Falls ahead of it now. God of War Ragnarok, I don't think I would place ahead of it now. Roller Drrome is another one that just kind of lives in my mind. And that that's actually an example of something that despite not really having much of a narrative to write home about just the um you know when you're talking about the the unique factor of Roller Drrome, there's really nothing else like it. There's not another Tony Hawk meets Max Payne slowdown, you know, the bullet time mechanic third person shooting while you're rollerblading. And it's just such a novel idea that I mean, I would have never thought of creating this or it's one of those things where you're so excited to see it made because it's so off the beaten path. But it's so specifically tailor made for someone like me who likes the extreme sports games, who loves Max Pain. The bullet time mechanic I think is it's crazy that we don't get more games. Back when that came out in 2001, Maxpane 1, you know, you saw so many games ape that mechanic and I think games, third-person shooters in specific were better off for having that mechanic in a lot of ways. So to to mix that with a, you know, a third person rollerblading game. Like it was just so so nasty, man. So nasty. A little underbaked for sure. Like the boss fights and [ __ ] were pretty bare bones, but really [ __ ] fun. But that's the thing, right? Whenever you're talking about top 100 favorite games ever, I've played thousands of video games and I've loved, you know, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of video games, but top 100 favorite games ever. Like, I don't think I would put it above Spider-Man 2 that was instrumental in my early years gaming and you know, you you the the openw world formula that just hadn't really been perfected with superheroes to that point. And really, I would kind of argue just playing as a superhero in general with Spider-Man 2, that was like the moment where it started to come together and developers wrapped their mind around how to do this in the 3D space properly, you know, and so I I I definitely couldn't put it above Spider-Man 2 and that's at 100. And Freedom Fighter, you go down the list, right? Like I I couldn't put immortality or roller drrome in the in the top 100. So, and same thing, you know, as we were talking about with Dragon Stoma 2.

So, I guess we can move on from 2024, 2022. I guess we could look back at 2023 as well to make sure I wasn't missing anything there. Okay, so here we have Jedi Survivor, RE4, and Starfield at the top of my 2023 list. And I really don't think much would change there at all. I I I think ah you know that's interesting man I might rank Resident Evil 4 remake ahead of Jedi Survivor now just in terms of retrospective kind of thinking back to 2023 and thinking back to how much fun I had with those two games I I almost feel like I appreciate Jedi Survivor more than Resident Evil 4 remake but I don't know if I enjoy playing it more but let's go and see where they're ranked at um for this list here. Where we got Okay, so there's RE4 remake at 26. Damn, Jedi Survivor. I put quite quite a ways ahead of it at 22. I don't know if I would Damn. Yeah, that's tough. Do you just bump Resident Evil 4 up, you know, to to 21 and push everything back or do you drop Jedi Survivor down? Yeah. You know, I think that's probably what I'm going to do. I'm going to I'm going to drop Jedi Survivor down a little bit. I So, I'm gonna move it. We'll just move it right below Uncharted 2 for the time being. That's interesting. [laughter] This is my brain's going in so many different directions. All right, let's let's put a P. Let me write down Uncharted 2. I have thoughts there as well. So, we'll go back to Uncharted 2. Um, Jedi Survivor versus RE4 remake. And yeah, I have R4 remake and the Evil Within 2 right next to each other that I feel like I probably made some point about that in the video because in a way I feel somewhat similarly where I appreciate The Evil Within 2 more than Resident Evil 4 remake. But then again, you see Resident Evil 4 original behind The Evil Within 2 and RE4 remake, but I appreciate Resident Evil 4 the original more than RE4 remake and The Evil Within 2. Um, God, man. Appreciation versus enjoyment versus, you know, clouding your judgment with nostalgia. Like all of these things you're trying to factor in to some degree, right? But I think that that's the fun about maybe updating this every year and being like, "What the [ __ ] did I do? Why did I change? Why did I fix that? Why did I remove this? Why did I add that?" But I think as I feel right now about it, I would probably drop Jedi Survivor. Oh, dude, in Cyberpunk is Oh boy, this is going to be trouble. Let me write down Cyberpunk. We got to address that for sure. Um, Cyberpunk because I replayed Cyberpunk, I think, after making my top 100 list and that would climb a lot on this list after that replay. Uh, I I think yeah, I think I'm gonna leave it right here. Jedi Survivor under RE4 original. Let's try to find Uncharted 4 on this list. Okay, so I have Uncharted 2 ahead of Uncharted 4, I'm guessing. Where the hell do I have Uncharted 4 at? Am I losing my mind? Okay, there we go. There we go. So, I have Uncharted 4. Um, so it doesn't show the number whenever you're trying to edit the list, which that's okay. We we can look at the number in a little bit, but I have Uncharted 2 quite a ways ahead of Uncharted 4. And once again, I don't remember when I made this list, but I replayed Uncharted 4 last year as well. Or that might have even been early this year, if I'm not mistaken. Uh, time is a flat circle, but I I I think that Uncharted 4 is probably the best action adventure game I have ever played. That that was like my main takeaway after finishing it. When you're talking about like a a cinematic third person action adventure title, I don't really know if I would put much of anything above Uncharted 4. The the attention to detail is through the roof to a level that Uncharted 2 has moments and is breathtaking for what it was doing with that technology at the time for sure. But Uncharted 4 I I you know I just put a whole different level of respect on Uncharted 4 after replaying it. So, I think I am going to I don't think I'm going to drop cuz like what I did with Jedi Survivor, I dropped Jedi Survivor down. I think I'm just going to push Uncharted 4 up quite a bit. And I'm going to kind of keep them right next to one another. Um, yeah, because I don't think I would place either game above Tony Hawk Pros Skater 2 and definitely not above Here Comes the Pain or Thug One, but I would place both of them ahead of Resident Evil 4 remake and The Evil Within 2 and and RE4 OG, Jedi Survivor. Yeah, I'm going to actually keep them right next to one another. I hold them and I haven't replayed Uncharted 2 in a while as well, so you got to factor that in to the equation. Whenever I go back to Uncharted 2, I'll probably have a whole new appreciation for that game. Just the sense of verticality and like the sense of place in Uncharted 2. I remember the first time I played it, I was blown away. And I didn't even play it at launch and I was still blown away. It was still technically more impressive when I played Uncharted 2 in I don't remember what year it was, but like it was quite a while after it released, and it was still more impressive than most games that were releasing a generation later.

But we definitely need to do something with Cyberpunk here because I think Cyberpunk is probably my favorite game of the 2020s. Probably my favorite game of the decade so far. It's one that I just keep going back to. I don't go back to play mini games at all. And Cyberpunk, there's just something about that world, like something about being in Night City. It's just a level of immersion and a level of atmosphere that is almost unparalleled. And I know that there's there's nitpicks, right? And I have nitpicks as well. It's not the most immersive in the sense of true interactivity or a real sense of dynamism within the world and things responding to the actions you are taking in the world. Like there's critiques I have with the game, but for a first outing, CDPR comes onto the scene and creates something in the most complex genre, the most expensive genre to create games inside of with the most moving parts, the most systems. Like, you're talking about an openw world crime sandbox. And we've seen time and time again these games come out and and just fail or or you know, it's because they're so expensive. It's not necessarily that they're failures in and of themselves. Like if you look at something like Mafia 3, Mafia 3 sold pretty well if you compare it to most games outside of the openw world crime sandbox genre. But whenever you're talking about a budget of this scale and you you have to the the craftsmanship and the talent that it takes to make a game of this genre when you're looking over at what Rockstar have been doing for, you know, let's just say with GTA 5 in 2013, Cyberpunk comes out in 2020. And that'll always live in the back of my mind as like one of the most disappointing launches to anything ever to any media event in the history of my lifetime. But that's the thing of going back to it time and time again and just appreciating it more and more and a lot of those negative thoughts kind of slowly being pushed back. Slowly being pushed back as my, you know, positive feelings emerge to the front. Like, yeah. I I mean, I I cannot [ __ ] wait to see what they do with Cyberpunk 2. Just I mean, Cyberpunk is selling faster than The Witcher 3. So, I imagine they're going to triple down on this to a degree that like what the [ __ ] could they do with an unlimited budget, unlimited time, unlimited resources, which it seems that's the direction they're taking with The Witcher 4 and the $800 million budget and all that [ __ ] Like, they have leveled up into a a they're not rockstar level, but they're like a tier or two below that. And we don't have many studios operating at that level of of real financial freedom and being able to create just the the top caliber [ __ ] art in the industry. So yeah, well I guess I should say the top caliber art when it also meets the technical prowess and something truly feeling nextgen and and being impressive on a visual fidelity level and all of that [ __ ] combined with the technical level, combined with the storytelling, combined with the mechanics. Like that's the joy of, you know, when you get one of these 400,500 million games, you're like, "Holy fuck." You're just you're you're studying every little detail. But that's that's cool as well to to have something that is that grand in scale that it justifies being studied to that degree. But none of that five minute diet tribe there really tells us anything about where it should be placed. So, if my favorite game of the generation that is currently on this list, I believe would be Yeah, I it's Resident Evil 4 remake right now would be my favorite game of the generation that's on this list. Um, and so this would be ahead of that. I think I would place it ahead of both Uncharted games. I would place it ahead of Tony Hawk Pros Skater 2. I would have a really really tough time placing it ahead of Smackdown Here Comes the Pain. Damn. I you know I I don't know about that honestly. Here Comes the Pain was it that's a real nostalgia play for me. And so it comes down like it's one of those games that I'm never sure if I'm judging properly because me and my friends played it so much, but we also played, you know, Shut Your Mouth and Just Bring It and like we we played all of the Smackdown PS2 games so much. But here comes the pain. It it perfected the formula, you know what I mean? It perfected the uh it it was just semi enough before it went over the top with the you know when you get into like the 2K era of super stamina dependent and [ __ ] like that like it was still over the top pick up and play fun that even if you had a friend who wasn't really into wrestling games they could jump into Here Comes the Pain and instantly understand it. But you also had stronger presentation and like the cinematic panning with the finishers and they were just doing a lot on a presentation front and the story mode was really good. The roster was loaded and so yeah, it it's the best playing wrestling game. I I still would rank this over No Mercy for me personally in ter just in terms of the pick up and play sensibility, but I I don't I don't know, man. Ahead of Cyberpunk, you know, it's interesting. Like I I think I'm going to drop Vice City down and like I'm going to drop Vice City below Cyberpunk because I I definitely at this point I would say I I feel stronger towards Cyberpunk than I do Grand Theft Auto City after finishing that last replay.

Damn, dude. You know what? Like I I'm sitting here and seeing Saints Row 3 directly. Like if you go vertical here, Saints 3 is right in front of Cyberpunk. And no chance. I love Saint 3, but no chance I have it ahead of of Cyberpunk. I I love you, Crash Bash. So much nostalgia, but not ahead of Cyberpunk. Jesus Christ. So, boy, I I was not really expecting this coming into the video today. Cyberpunk is just it's climbing. This is going to be one of those things I look back at next year and regret in a in a moment of of emotion here, but Cyberpunk is going ahead of Batman Arkham Asylum. Yeah, I think that's where it stops. I think I would still put Bully ahead of Cyberpunk, but that that bad boy just climbed that list. You know what? Let's stay on this wave for a minute. Let's Let's keep moving things around and then at the end of the video, that's when I'll add new games. You know, when we talked about like Indiana Jones and we'll go through and add whatever needs to be added. Um, my top games here. Let's let's view this in order to um uh Oh, let me make sure I I let me make sure I save this list. That way we don't lose any of our changes. Um, but I want to view the actual ranking here. Oh boy, it reversed all my damn changes. Well, actually, this is kind of interesting in a way though because we wouldn't have been able to see the the the jump in terms of like the numeric jump. Cyberpunk was at 29 and I would have ended up placing it at it would have damn it would have almost jumped from [ __ ] 29 to Yeah, it would have been in the top 15. It would have been number 15 from 29 to 15 is where Cyberpunk would have jumped. So I think this is everything that we have changed so far. We have Cyberpunk now at 15 and we have Uncharted 4 at 25, Uncharted 2 at 26, RE4 Remake at 27, and then I moved Jedi Survivor back to 30. And I think Jedi Survivor was at 22 before this if I'm not mistaken. So a few spots back for sure. It might have it might have even been at 25 or 24. Anyways, so it got dropped back a few spots for sure, but we'll just sort of stay looking through this in a sense of of seeing if anything really needs to be swapped around. I like like I was talking about my early locks up here, they're not going to change. RE2 OG will be my favorite game ever forever probably. There's just so much nostalgia tied into that. Mass Effect I have an endless amount of appreciation for. Um and so like I don't really see much of this top 10. The top 10 is not changing at all. Um, when you start getting into this territory, like 15 to 20, I I feel like I could swap a lot of these games. They're interchangeable to some degree. And then when we get down here to the 30s, it is interesting to see a plaguetail reququum at 36. I feel like a plague tail requum I don't think I'm going to change that. But that's another one of those games when we talk the the same thing we were talking about earlier just with how plag requentcentric experience. But I just I'll never forget about the story ever. And it's one of those stories that I think about all the time. And as time goes on and I'm thinking about those characters and I'm thinking about those moments, like I just resonate more with it and I I I look back on it more fondly, you know, because of the the characters, because of the writing, because of the narrative. And so, yeah, everybody is very very different in regards to what they what they prioritize with games. I I think in the moment I tend to give a edge to gameplay like while I'm playing it in the moment in the year that we're ranking the games I'm going to look at the gameplay because it's still fresh on my mind and value that more because it's more of what you're engaging with right but then whenever time goes on I start forgetting a lot of that a lot of how the game play experience made me feel because it's easier to forget that than like the way that the story and the characters made you feel. So yeah, Plague Tale is one Plague Tale Reququum is one I I I definitely could see moving up, but it's the placement is just brutal here. Once again, when you're talking about the 30s, like the the game right above it is Beyond Good and Evil. And Beyond Good and Evil is technically one of the most impressive games on the PlayStation 2 that I ever played. It's just a game full of variety and fun and and you know, but it also has a really good deceptively dark story. And yeah, I don't know if I could put it above Beyond Good and Evil.

And so, continue to scroll down through this. Like really, as I'm looking through it, I don't have a lot of standout complaints with with this list. Like I I think I for the most part am fairly comfortable locking in all of these games in this exact same place. Smackdown shut your mouth is a little bit tough. I would probably like to bring that up closer to Here Comes the Pain, but it it's just, you know, drop it towards the end of the list. You have the better game up at the top. It's one of those semantic issues that doesn't really matter, but Smackdown Shut Your Mouth doesn't get enough credit. That is that that roster is actually more stacked than Here Comes the Pain in my opinion. But regardless, that's a another topic for another day. Um, yeah, you know, I I think I'm comfortable with the the rest of this list in terms of of changing anything around. I think I I think I got the things I want to change that are already that were already locked into the top 100, but now we just need to maybe add some things, maybe remove some things. So, this was my list for 2023, and we already we moved around Jedi Survivor based on this list. Hogwarts Legacy, I don't think I have Hogwarts Legacy on there. Do I want Do I have Dredge on there? That's one where looking back now, I I might put Dredge ahead of Hogwarts Legacy, but I'm scanning through my backlog top 100, and I don't think I have either game on here, so that's fine. I I I'm not sure I would place either game in my top 100. Just Yeah, when you look at the end of this list, I I don't think either of those games get over Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man 2 is kind of the I mean obviously it's right there at 100. So for you to get in the list, Spider-Man 2 is the bouncer at the door that you got to get past. As we were saying earlier, Indiana Jones is definitely going to I think Indiana Jones is definitely going to be maybe the game that gets into my top 100 if we're making additions. Indiana Jones is getting in. I don't think anything else from my 2024 list, as we went over earlier, I don't think anything else gets in. Star Wars Outlaws. I probably do bump up ahead of WWE 2K 24. I love 2K 24. That was a [ __ ] excellent year for, you know, that that that's one of my favorite wrestling games ever as well. But I think Star Wars Outlaws I look back on much more fondly and after experiencing the DLC the there was some really really solid DLC content that I played in 2025, but enough to make it into my top 100? Probably not. So, I think we're good on 2024. Indiana Jones will will be the only game making it into my top 100.

So, right now, I have it in the camp of games that almost made my top 100, but ultimately had to get cut whenever I was doing this the first time. And I would put it ahead of everything down here. I mean, I think Indiana Jones is actually a it's probably going to move up this list quite a bit. I So, how we currently like I would put it ahead of Oblivion. So, we'll just kind of keep moving this up until we find the game that it it wouldn't go ahead of. Um, I'd put it ahead of Gears 5. So, just keep pushing this until we find the the real competition. I would put it ahead of Code Veronica. Um, damn, dude. Like I might have to just kind of scroll up with this thing. Okay, here we go. We're starting to get into that camp of I'm not sure where I would rank it. I'd put it ahead of Ghost of Tsushima. I don't think I would put it ahead of Grand Theft Auto 3, though. So, yeah, that's where we're going to leave Indiana Jones in the Great Circle for right now, ahead of Ghost of Tsushima, below GTA 3. But I think you run into another similar issue where I I played GTA 3 a couple years ago and I went through played Vice City, played San Andreas and going back to GTA 3 was a [ __ ] pain in the ass. Like that game is one that almost solely lives in my my positive like recollection. All of my positive memories come solely based on nostalgia for GTA 3. And I I want to be kind to my nostalgic mind and like allow that to have some power in this ranking, but at the same time like I GTA 3 looks more like a powerhouse than it actually is. I think for me like it it it's tough for me to put it ahead of it, but I think when I honestly start looking through this list, it's like I already put Mafia the Definitive Edition ahead of GTA 3 and I'd put Indiana Jones ahead of Mafia the Definitive Edition. You know what I mean? So like Yeah. No, I I'm being too scared of GTA 3 because I have so much nostalgia tied into it. But it that that's not No, dude. Because I like Indiana Jones more than I like Star Wars Jedi Survivor. [ __ ] dude. I like Indiana Jones more than I like Resident Evil 4 remake. You know what? That's actually a great spot to put it right ahead of RE4 remake, right below Uncharted 2, because I don't think that as great as as Machine Games nailed the the sense of action adventure as Indiana Jones, I still would struggle to put it ahead of the Uncharted games. At least the best of the best. I think four and two are are the two Uncharted games I would really have a tough time putting this ahead of and but but it's close. So, I think it's like right there in that company with my my favorite action adventure games because it takes a lot it takes a lot of cues from that despite being in first person. And I I think the puzzle solving in some respects with Indiana Jones for like some of the side content, the side stories, some of the best puzzle solving this genre has ever seen. So, yeah, I'm going to put it I'm going to put it up there, man. So, we are now looking at a list with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle as my 27th favorite game of all time. I mean, yeah, like that's that's somewhat fair, you know? I I think that's somewhat fair. And I honestly might even put it in between like Uncharted 4 and Uncharted 2, but I need to replay Uncharted 2. I feel like I'm almost being too disrespectful to Uncharted 2. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle had a major come up on this list.

All right. And now we have my 2025 game of the year ranking to pull from to, you know, see if anything needs to be added. And definitely 2025, good lord, there might be a lot of [ __ ] added to my favorite games of all time list from 2025. I mean, Split Fiction is a no-brainer. That's going on the list. Jesus Christ, I just saw my face in this in this uh frame. That's delightful. Looks looks suggestive. Um Ghost of Yote is per Yeah, Ghost of Yote is on this list. That that's that's a really really interesting one with Ghost of Yote because I have Tsushima. Ghost of Tsushima at 48 in my top 100. So like right there in the middle. And I think Ghost of Yote is a better game in every way. But I think I'm just more critical on PlayStation with their sequels than I Yeah, I I don't know because like Spider-Man 2 doesn't hit the same way as Spider-Man 1 for me despite Spider-Man 2 being a better game mechanically. Although it's not better narratively. God of War Ragnarok was definitely better mechanically, but it just doesn't have the same like lasting effect on me that God of War 2018 had. Even though God of War 2022 I liked playing more than 2018. Um, Horizon Forbidden West is the one where I do definitely value that much higher than Zero Dawn, but it was just a mechanical overhaul to a crazy crazy degree. And yeah, Last of Us 2 doesn't hit me the same way that Last of Us one does. And so, like, you go on through that list, and there's probably others that I'm forgetting as well, where the first time out the gate Sony hits you with something and you're like, "Holy [ __ ] that is that's impressive, man." But then whenever they do it again and even do it better, the staying power isn't quite as prominent. And that's sort of how I feel about Ghost of Yote a year later. I wasn't blown away by the story to some degree where I'm sitting there thinking about Ghost of Yote non-stop. The world design was better than just about any open world game ever. Um, just in terms of providing the player, especially in a samurai open world, it tends to get pretty [ __ ] boring. Open plains of nothingness all the time. And it's just a fairly wrote, generic, boring world to exist in a lot of the time. We have so many games similar, but just they they had so much in here to do and find and like yeah, it was just a really really fun world to be a part of that had enough content to justify the existence of the open world. I think that's a big problem with a lot of open world games in general right now is they don't even necessarily justify being open world games. It's just like, yeah, well, here here's some procedurally generated [ __ ] Go and waste hours because we know you care about hours whenever you're buying a game. You don't want to spend $70 if it's not 70 hours. So, what I'm going to do, I'm going to add Yote and we'll kind of move it up towards Sushima, but I I don't know. Like, I I that's weird because I I do definitely like it. Like I like playing it more than I like playing Tsushima, but there's some impact that's lost that's kind of hard for me to quantify where I I almost even think about Tsushima more than I do Yay despite playing Yote so much so much uh more recently. I mean, dude, there's no way I can put it ahead of GTA 5. Like, there's just no way. So yeah, I'm going to drop it below GTA 5. I would probably put it ahead of Mafia 2. Yeah, we we'll put it below GTA 5 ahead of Mafia 2. But you know what, dude? I think I might be overrating Ghost of Tsushima as well. I think that might be a a bigger problem here. Or I don't like I don't Do I like Ghost of Tsushima more than I like Grand Theft Auto 5? Or maybe am I underrating GTA 5? Yeah. Okay. See, that's what I need to do. There we go. There we go. That makes more sense. Bump GTA 5 ahead of Tsushima and I think I can leave Tsushima where it stands. And GTA V and GTA 3 kind of right next to one another, which that that lines up to me where those are games I don't necessarily hold in the same respect as most people, but GTA 3 holds a lot of nostalgia weight for me despite me really not liking it a ton as an adult. But GTA 5 I love as an adult, but it really holds it doesn't really hold a special place in my heart at all if I'm being honest. Like I respect it a ton, but GTA V going much more down like the online road and and catering to that community much more almost sour me when I think back about the game, which is unfortunate to the game if I'm being honest.

As I was talking about earlier, Split Fiction definitely has to be added from that 2025 list. And I'm going to go ahead and like really move Split Fiction the [ __ ] on up there. Um, I think Split Fiction Yeah. I mean, I would place Split Fiction ahead of Yeah. Kind of like right here ahead of Mafia the Definitive Edition. I don't think I would place it ahead of Dead Space 2, though. I I don't think I think Split Fiction is weirdly one of the more enjoyable mechanical like just the amount of variety on offer with split fiction. I I don't think I've played many games in my entire life that I was more impressed by in a mechanical sense. And that's one of those games that is offering up so much variety and like unique [ __ ] that I've never really seen before in other games that despite it really the story in split fiction is very very forgettable. But the mechanical variety on offer is really hard for me to forget because it is in a totally different league than almost anything else I've ever played. And I think they pull off a lot of what they're going for better than It Takes Two in in a mechanical sense, in a gameplay sense, like the momentto moment gameplay. Although to be fair, I never finished It Takes Two. And so that's just kind of a problem with these games in general. If you don't find a co-op partner who is committed to 10 hours, 12 hours, whatever the case may be, that you're going to have a tough time finishing them. And I think that hurts people's appreciation of these games in general. But I do think that like this is inarguable as as like an all-time great gameplay variety just buffet of of really welldesigned new mechanics that are layered on top of one another throughout the entire experience. Like you never get tired of doing what you're doing in this game. It's just a design. It's It's a masterpiece from a design standpoint. Pulling this off to this scale. It should be, you know, studied in [ __ ] school.

And on the list after Split Fiction and Yote were The Autoorlds 2, Mafia, the Old Country, Kronos, godamn Dispatch, Cabernet, Deliver at all cost, expedition 33, Rematch, Dying Like the Beast, The Precinct. Like I really love love love all of those games, but I mean you got to make a cut off at some point. I think that Hold on. Let's Let's go back to the damn list to see what number 100 is. Damn. Yeah, number 100. I have a plague innocence, which is going to kill me. But I do think I would place the Outer Worlds two higher than um a plague till innocence. I also think I would place Mafia the Old Country. No, Kronos. Damn. Yeah, I think I would place both of those games ahead of a plague tail in a sense. Jesus Christ, dude. Okay, I This is This is getting brutal. I think I would place The Outer Worlds 2, Mafia, the Old Country, Kronos, Dispatch, and Cabernet ahead of A Plague Cell Innocence. 2025 was just [ __ ] loaded for for games I really enjoyed. All right, so I have them all added to the top 100 and I Let's see. Just kind of scrolling up to get. So, a plague till Innocence is number 100 right now. So, I I Yeah, we'll go ahead and move all of these up. Well, we can do them one at a time. It really doesn't matter. Let's Let's try to find the correct placement for the for the Outer Worlds 2. What do I like more than The Outer Worlds 2? I think I like Assassin's Creed Odyssey more than The Out Worlds 2. No, I don't know about that. Actually, no. I don't think I do. Where do I have the Outerorlds one at? Is it on here? Damn. Yeah, the Outer Worlds one is up there. And I like The Outer Worlds 2 more. Like I think The Outer Worlds 2 is just like significantly significantly better than The Outer Worlds one. It was one of those games that people made up their mind that they didn't want to like it before they played it um because of the $80 price tag. And there was just kind of that trend growing throughout video game discourse online. Like if you are being suffocated with that that kind of u whatever you want to call it, just garbage. Like you started getting your opinion influenced by people who wanted to hate the game before playing it and then people who jumped into it and played it with an open mind were like, "Holy [ __ ] man. This is like Fallout New Vegas." Like you're taking the exact same, you know, skill set with with your upgrading and your attribute points and your characteristics and per like all of these things and even the factions tying together to to the the main quest at the end. Like there's a lot of that Fallout New Vegas energy and DNA carried over into the Outerorlds 2 and just I I think the the writing was better in the Outerorlds 2. I I the gunplay, everything, the movement, everything was much much better in the Outer Worlds 2. So yeah, I'm going to have to with the story being better like there's nothing that the Outerorlds one does better. So to have the Outer Worlds one ahead of it is is asinine. So we shall just drag the old Outer Worlds 2 on up ahead of god damn ahead of the Outer Worlds one and it would be right below Crash Bandicoot. That that seems that seems fair. Um, well, yeah. Yeah, that seems fair. I think that The Outer Worlds 2's existence makes me devalue The Outer Worlds one a little bit. I would probably drop The Outer Worlds. I would still put it ahead of Fallout 3, but I would drop it below Parasite Eve. So, Parasite Eve ahead of The Outer Worlds one.

So, Mafia the Old Country is a pretty easy one for me because I like this more than all of the other Mafia games. Um, well, damn, man. See, that's tough as well. I Where do I have Mafia One, the Definitive Edition? It's up there pretty Yeah, it's pretty high on this list if I'm not mistaken. So yeah, it's right below split fiction. Okay, that that that's I I love Mafia 1 the remake. I I really do, but that might be a little bit high for the placement of Mafia 1 the the remake. Um, that's tough, man. That is really tough. The problem with those games, with the Mafia games, is I don't think they're all that far apart in quality just in general. I think the definitive edition probably has the best overall story, but I'm going to drag all of the Mafia games down kind of next to one another. And we'll throw the definitive edition towards the top here ahead of Mafia 2. Mafia, the Old Country, we'll put in the middle. Um, yeah. Then Mafia 3 is not really I I wouldn't say Mafia 3 is in that same camp. They just the open world was really really [ __ ] boring in Mafia 3. But the story and the gameplay is maybe the best from like Mafia 1 is probably the best story. The gameplay for Mafia 3 is probably the best. And if you do a combination of both, maybe maybe I'm sleeping on Mafia 3 a little bit, but I I think I'm going to drop all of the Mafia games down. I would certainly put them all ahead of Let's see. I would put them ahead of Sefue. Parasite Eve, definitely ahead of HalfLife 2. Um, we'll go right after Skyrim actually for the the Mafia games. I would put Sefue ahead of Mafia 2 and Mafia the Old Country. I would place I would place the Old Country ahead of Sefue I think. Actually, you know what? I Mafia 2 I would drop below Parasite Eve but ahead of The Outer Worlds one. Mafia 2 is a a great game. The I don't want to spoil anything, but the let's just say change of scenery that you experience in Mafia 2 is technically just astounding, but there's some the the story is not nearly as good as Mafia 1 remake or the Old Country in my opinion.

So, now we go on down to we have Kronos on the list. Kronos, I think, you know, we're going to rapidfire rank these that way we're not here for [ __ ] hours. Kronos is one of the better modern horror games. Um, but with that said, we're starting to get into some kind of crazy territory here. I don't know if I'm going to put it ahead of Metal Gear Solid 3 remake. I'm going to drop it. I will put it ahead of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, but below control. I think I would rank Control ahead of Kronos: The New Dawn. And then we have Cabernet on the list. Cabernet would probably go, you know what? I think I would take a plague in aense ahead of Cabernet. So, we'll go Cabernet right below a plague innocence and then Dispatch. Dispatch, man. It's one of those games that I almost immediately appreciate just in the sense of what it did for or what I think it's going to do for the adventure game, choose your own adventure genre where that was starting to die out where you were seeing a lot of these games come out and flop catastrophically. But Dispatch, it came out and caught the the zeitgeist. It really had like a impact. It had a moment when it released in the episodic kind of week after week. You were looking forward to the next episode and there was that water cooler discussion surrounding Dispatch, which you really don't get for almost any game week in and week out. And so this is one that like I have my it has its flaws and issues, but yeah, this is one that's already holding up more in my mind than I I would have expected. Dispatch, I'm going to we're going to bring that up. I would go ahead of a plague innocence. I would go ahead of Days Gone. Definitely ahead of of Silent Hill. Um ahead of Dying Light, maybe not. You know, that's interesting. Kind of right there near The Walking Dead. Yeah. So, I I I there there's things I like about Dispatch more than The Walking Dead, but The Walking Dead felt more when The Walking Dead came out, that felt like [ __ ] a totally totally different level. And but yeah, I I think I would put it above Silent Hill, slightly below Dying Light.

All right, but let's take a look at this list. See what changes have been made. Obviously, you guys already know my the top of my list. There's no need to really get into any explanation about that. Um, but then looking through here and so 100 is now Silent Hill. Wow. Okay. So, Silent Hill is now my at 100 after Plague and Spider-Man 2 and 2025 kind of came through in Wreck Shop where a lot of my favorite games of 2025 like they had to make the [ __ ] list. You know what I mean? So, Dispatch just squeezing in there at 99. And Kronos squeezing in at 94. And um yeah, so we we made some changes, removed some games, added some games, and reranked a lot of games as well. I I'm having weird feelings about Mafia today, and I don't know why. I feel almost disrespectful to this franchise, but I I kind of like am sitting here looking at it and and like should Mafia be below Well, you got Arkham City down there and it's like Bioshock. Do I like Mafia more than those games? Yeah, you know, I I do I do like Mafia more than those games. I think Yeah, I I do. I do like Mafia more than those games. So, I think this is going to be the official lock it in list that I'm going with. And once again, I'll readjust this because I put this up for quick plug here.
