Hey Canyon Ridge. Hey Canyon Ridge.
So we know that we can't be together right now, but that does not mean that church is canceled. If you are ready to take your next step in baptism, then we would love to show you how. Just because we can't physically be in a building, doesn't mean you can't do this at home.
Baptism is a moment that symbolizes the death of our old life and points our lives towards Jesus. If you or someone you know has made that decision, then my family would love to show you how to do this right at your own home. So you don't have to be a pastor to baptize a friend or family member. Anyone who has already made the decision to point their lives towards Jesus can do it. You can just use what you have, a pool or a hot tub, it will work just fine.
When you're ready to perform the baptism, you are gonna ask one question: Have you made a decision to turn your life towards Jesus and live only for him? When they say yes, you're gonna lower them under the water and then raise them up from the water and say, "With this profession of faith, I baptize you in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." It's going to look a little like this.
Jeff, son, come on down. So first I'm gonna ask the question. So have you made a decision to turn your life towards Jesus and to live for him only? Yes. Based on your profession of faith in Jesus Christ, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, I baptize you.
So that's how to baptize someone right in your own backyard, but don't forget to capture the moment because baptism is so very special. Take videos, snap a ton of pictures, and better yet, send them to Canyon Ridge. You can tag us on social media, or go right to the website canyonridge.org/babtism for more information.
So thank you and God bless.
