Wall, none of you are like him. I'm only doing this to test him and strength his patience. And I find him to be a mountain. I'm testing him. I'm hurling this abuse at him to see how he's going to react. And he's a mountain. This is like some serious tab. In today's parlance, we call this today mental toughness.
[Music] Welcome back to the stories of the aah as we continue on lessons from Abdulad reading from Imab's book volume 20 page 446 again and now we talk about we go back to Dbas Hmed Dbas was Abdul Kad Jalani's And Murabi, he didn't just teach him uh knowledge, he taught him character and he taught him. And let's take a look at this very interesting method that he had. He said that he used to attend to the best for spiritual development. uh and he was to teach seek his fick elsewhere and hmed the best used to teach al jalani patience and humility and obscurity and everything against his ego.
If anyone did what hmed the best did these days, oh the mosque board would be on your back in two seconds and the parents would be all over you. He says, "If I spent a lot of time with the scholars, then a long time passed before I came to Hammed at Debbz." Hammed would say to me, "And what do you want from me?" Right? You you're a big scholar now, right? You're a big scholar. What are you dealing with me? What? Leave us little uh little people alone. You're you're the big shot. And he would make him feel guilty. He would make him feel arrogant. And Jay Lenny would have to humble himself. He said, "I would be quiet." Yeah. and Jas said, "Go be with the famous Sh forget us. We're little people here." He said, "I would be quiet."
One J I went out with him and he had his group with him. And it was a cold day. Suddenly, I walked right up to next to him and lo and behold, he gives me an elbow. He knocked me into into the river. What do they have there in Iraq in Baghdad? The Euphrates, right? The Euphrates. And then it breaks into the Tigris and the Euphrates. I said to myself, I'll take it as today. What would happen if someone did that? Subhan Allah. Back then they had trust. They knew this was a murabi means someone who takes you from rank to rank. And in this case, it's the rank of your character, development of your character. So he knocked him into the river. I had a wool garment. You know when wool gets wet, it's the worst. And I had some books that I used to put in my in my sleeve. So I just lifted my sleeve so it doesn't get wet. And then I intended and they kept walking. They didn't even bother to help me out. So I came out. I took my off. I squeezed it and I ran to catch up with them. I was extremely cold. I was it was it I was harmed by this cold the would always be jabbing at me saying something all right knocking me over hitting me with a stick go do this go get that always mistreating him what is this and if I came he would say oh subhan Allah we had so much bread we had he says here we had bread we had meat. We had But we ate it all. We didn't leave any for you. We knew you were coming, but we still didn't eat any. Subhan Allah.
So what happens now? Okay. Now the other students start ganging up on him, right? And the other students would start laughing and say, "And they started doing what the did. M the best would pour all this abuse on Alani and now the other students start doing this and saying oh what are you doing with us you're the big shot go with the big shots leave us alone okay then when saw them doing that he became angry he says you dogs okay why are you talking like that to him wall none of you are like him I'm only doing this to test him and strength his patience and I find him to be a mountain. We're I'm testing him. I'm hurling this abuse at him to see how he's going to react. And he's a mountain. And this is this is like some serious toughness. Mental in in today's parlance, we call this today mental toughness.
Okay? You want to call it spiritual toughness, you want to call it says have be rough around the edges. In other words, be have the ability to suffer a little bit. Have the ability to be knocked around a little bit. Have the ability to be disappointed, to be pushed around, to be sent to the back of the line. You should have that ability. That shouldn't break us. And this is a huge message in the softest country in the world, probably in the history of the world. No generation, I would probably venture to say Allah knows best, the softest generation. Well, so soft that the boys are identifying as women, right? that that's how soft the generation has become. This is not good for you, for anybody. This is not just an eastern ethic. No, go into the military, see how they get trained. Go to see the Marines and the Navy Seals, how these people get trained. This is nothing. The Navy Seals, the amount of abuse they pour. Now, let me tell you, if you have 10 soldiers are going to come and do an extraction operation on you, there's an op and you're in prison somewhere in some country that has no human rights and American are going to send 10 people to do an OP and extract you. Who do you want them sending? You want them sending those guys who got abused cuz those guys know how to take they know how to have patience. They know how to take harm. They know they're hardened. They're toughened up. They're mentally tough. They can handle anything. And that's essentially from a spiritual sense what Alani was being trained for uh by Abu Mad.
So when he came out to speak now if someone made fun of him, if someone said what kind of talk is this and today there's how many billion people in the world? 8 billion people in the world. Anybody who says anything immediately guaranteed four billion will not like it. Guaranteed four billion will age. And the more clear you are about your message, the more simple you are in what you're saying, the stronger you are, you can start adding now it's going to be 5 billion, now 6 billion. So many people will hate. Is there a person hated on the earth more than the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam? I hate to say that, but look at the cost he's paying. The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam is paying a heavy cost. Hindus despise the prophet. Christians despise the prophet. Jews just atheist, but he's also the most beloved person on the earth. Is there another person on the earth who's more praised than Son? He brought a very clear tr truthful message and he's loved for it and he's hated for it. There's a price to pay. Nobody could just be loved and not hated. So what Jayen is being prepared, you're going to give speeches, people are going to hate you. No doubt about it. He had big enemies. It's not all as we say here. He was loved by so many. There is no way ever that you could be loved without hat being hated. It has to happen that it's almost like an equal and opposite reaction. Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam I hate to even say the word that he's he's hated but this a truth to see that this are not enviable to be a prophet. It is not an enviable position. And it's a position you would never want for we would never bear 1.1% of the abuse of the least abuse that any prophet has gotten.
