Hello guys, and today we have some really important and unpleasant topics to discuss.
Number one, are there any real negotiations between the United States and Russia behind Ukraine's back? Can Zelensky be pressured to sign any agreement simply prepared by Putin's envoy Mitrofanov and Trump's envoy Witkov without any participation of Ukraine or our EU allies?
Second, what's happening with the Ukraine corruption scandal? Actually, today our parliament fired two ministers, the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Energy. And many more deputies and people in Ukraine demand, in general, the change of the government.
And third, perhaps the saddest, Russia once again demonstrated full terror. This time on the western Ukrainian city Ternopil, targeting two nine-story buildings and killing 25 people. Many are still missing, including lots of children.
In this context, under tremendous pressure, sometimes we do feel very demotivated. But one thing I can guarantee, the Ukrainian civil society is prepared to protect our future, our European choice, and our freedom literally on every front. My name is Anna. I'm from Ukraine. Perhaps, according to the list I've mentioned at the intro of this video, there are a lot of articles manipulating the information about the potential meeting of Zelensky and Witkov in Turkey. Already mentioned that this won't happen. There are also rumors about, uh, negotiations, direct negotiations between, uh, Russia and the United States behind Ukraine's back. Reuters, uh, Financial Times, quote, various documents, provide different numbers of, uh, uh, points included in the necessary list that Ukraine must accept. And here in Ukraine, we don't take it seriously. Well, first of all, because no peace deal is possible without Ukraine, without our European allies, because we're talking about peace and security on this continent and in the world. And second, and I believe this will persuade you too, if we were talking about something really serious, it wouldn't be between Kirill Dmitriev and Steve Witkov. Everyone in the United States and Europe understand that these people have very little power. They, uh, simply create the atmosphere of negotiations that Putin can actually need to postpone the implementation of the sanctions that are set to be in action since the 21st of November. So we all believe all this fuss, all these conversations, articles are the results of, uh, tremendous efforts coming from the Kremlin and potentially from some US circles, business circles, to create another possibility of so-called negotiations, to create a possibility for Trump to postpone the implementation of these sanctions that have already caused a lot of troubles for the collapsing Russian economy, including, including, including, and Putin is very much afraid of that. If any serious negotiation process, uh, was ahead of us, this would definitely include at least Rubio and Lavrov, or Putin, Trump. But we're talking about people who know very little about the real plans, even of their own country's leaders. Witkov is extremely ignorant and I may say diplomatically illiterate. This person can, uh, you know, cannot name, uh, the regions he is negotiating about. He claims that, I don't know, like the reason of this war is Donetsk region. And I have a question then, if it was all about Donetsk, why didn't Putin invade just Donetsk? Why did he invade and try to occupy all of Ukraine? Why did he target Ternopil this night? And the fact that some people spoke Russian in, uh, the regions that were severely Russified during the USSR or border Russia, does not mean they are Russian, just as you speaking English does not mean that you are English, especially if you live in the United States or Australia. So I believe this is just another move coming from the Kremlin to try and postpone this, uh, sanctions or more sanctions coming, because there were actually rumors that Trump is prepared to sanction for having any kind of business with Russia, and this can literally, uh, bankrupt them, even faster than the Ukrainian drone sanctions and all the previous sanctions, economic ones. And the second, the list that includes 28 different points and covers everything, beginning with the, uh, you know, like, uh, requests for a ceasefire and finishing with security guarantees for Ukraine, and then continues to the relations between Russia and the United States, and also security, uh, you know, like security architecture of the European Union. It doesn't look serious. I'm sure you understand that any serious document cannot include 28 points coming from totally different spheres, not just of Ukrainian life, but literally of, like, life on this planet. Let me know what you think about this so-called negotiations that can take place in Turkey. But once again, the meeting between Witkov and Zelensky was not confirmed and it will not take place. The visit of Zelensky to Turkey was planned. Uh, of course, he actively speaks with the president of Turkey who wants to be, uh, in the process of negotiations. We will see, because for example, the exchange of the prisoners of war is very important for everyone here in Ukraine.
[clears throat] And Russia tries to use this very negative, very emotionally charged moment inside Ukraine also to shake our belief in our allies and to shake the belief of our allies in us. So here we come to, uh, the corruption scandal that demotivated a lot of people and made us feel really bad. I've mentioned that in my previous videos because we very much observe, very carefully observe everything that is happening. And I do not mention that in every of my videos just because we are waiting for some serious decisions to be taken. And today there are the first ones. Apart from, uh, people who were mentioned in that scandal, many of them were arrested. Many of them are in, uh, search. But what we are talking about, we are talking about, uh, financial corruption schemes that led to the loss of 10, 15, uh, percent of, uh, total expenditures on the energy system of Ukraine. Uh, some people like, uh, Timur Mind, who is not an active political figure. What makes it more absurd and more disgusting? He's not a minister. He's not a deputy, but, uh, he's a businessman who had connections with a lot of people, including President Zelensky, and he managed to interfere in, uh, the process of the choice of various companies. He influenced the minister of justice, the minister of energy, and now two of these ministers were fired. And, uh, many in Ukraine demand that the whole government is dismissed. We will see if it happens. Uh, everybody is waiting for Zelensky to return and maybe to fire Yermak, who is the head of his administration, also connected, not directly. He was not mentioned on the records, but, you know, that I'm always honest with you. I may say nobody in Ukraine likes Yermak. Nobody supported him. Nobody liked him as a choice of president's really close, uh, assistant, and he, from our perspective, overused his, uh, power. And many believe that, uh, it is the best decision possible, you know, like to re-upload the government, uh, because this will let other parties to participate actively and demonstrate their transparency and the need to change everything and to motivate Ukrainian civil society.
One more thing that we all consider positive is that such cases are open, that such cases are under investigation. That with Ukrainian cardboard protest that you observed together with me months ago, we managed to save these anti-corruption organs that actually exposed this, uh, cancer. And what I can say, what keeps us motivated, what does not break our trust in the country is the fact that such investigations take place. I don't want to be like negative, but it's true that corruption is present in Germany. I think that most of Angela Merkel's decisions on, uh, Nord Stream that led to this war in Ukraine were influenced. What we observe with Donald Trump, a lot of things are out of, you know, this like legal framework. And the same happens in Ukraine, and the same happens in many countries of the world. And what demonstrates that we are a part of your world, not a part of the Russian world, is that we investigate that, that our civil society is active, that in the result of such cases, they become obvious, they become known, they become very public. Ministers are fired, many people will go to prison. Maybe even the head of Zelensky's administration will lose his position. So it's bad that we have this case, especially in times of war, because it's not just corruption, it's a betrayal and a state betrayal, and many people name it that way. But what is good that we expose these things, that we, uh, hold people accountable, that names are known, ministers are fired, then some serious changes are ahead. I will keep you updated once again. But as you know, with all the investigations with court, this does not take place like hour after hour. It takes weeks. But today two ministers were fired. Maybe more will come. And I'm very proud that we have this NABU, SAP. These are names and abbreviations of the Ukrainian anti-corruption organs that are a part of our EU integration process and that were protected by civilians. And you remember this protest. Many of you were actually worried that can lead to riots or maybe that was Russia-inspired. Now I believe those of you who are for a long time with me, you can see the picture.
What's bad? Many say that Trump may use this corruption scandal to pressure Zelensky to sign a bad agreement because somehow he can, I don't know, influence him. No, because once again, you forget about the Ukrainian civil society. The Ukrainian civil society is our greatest treasure. This is what stopped Russia's invasion. This is the backbone of our army, not the generals. This is the backbone of every fundraiser, every important political decision, our movement into, uh, the European Union and NATO. That's what people choose. Our politicians follow us, and those who don't are fired or will be imprisoned. Uh, so if, for example, some evil people try to use this situation against Ukraine to pressure Zelensky to sign something, the civil society in Ukraine won't let him do it, and he knows it. And I think he's more concerned about our internal reaction than even about the external reaction. I'm sorry if it sounds a little bit arrogant, but once again, we are saving our country. But what is bad, Russia definitely uses this situation. Russia definitely wants to destabilize us, either militarily or politically. Subscribe to demonstrate your support. That was again a very loud, very bloody night in Ukraine. And I was devastated to see the photos that a city in western Ukraine was targeted and, uh, Russian missiles, it seems to me, X1, still under investigation, destroyed two nine-story apartment buildings, killing 25 people, among them three kids. What I hate about such updates is that, uh, there are still a lot of people under rubble, rubble, and, uh, we don't know the numbers. Did you see it on your news? This is what triggers me a lot, and my friends, uh, mentioned that in chats, that it will not appear on the front pages, uh, of your newspapers. I don't know why, because these are people sleeping in their homes, and Russia targeting them with missiles. This is not a military arsenal, not even a military building. These are two apartment buildings, and there are tons of photos and videos that prove them. Um, why is that accepted? Uh, someone commented, because that's the daily reality of Ukraine. So I think that's something very wrong with this world that such news aren't news anymore. If you are a religious person, please pray for, for lots of those innocent people who suffer daily because of this kind of injustice and this kind of evil.
