A lot of people do not recognize one of the communist doorway television. 98% of the people I've prayed for are not unsaved people. They believe in. So I laid hands on him and he was on the floor and I heard a loud sound coming out of him. Leave him alone. Then one says, "In the name of Jesus Christ, who are you?" And he says, "Um, I'm fornication."
Demons typically manifest in an environment where the power and the presence of God is rich. And by far the biggest doorway I've dealt with over many, many years is the doorway of the occult and witchcraft. Cuz if we think about idol worship, what's behind it? Ultimately, Satan, there's three spirits. If you want to mess up a person, that is very common throughout the world. Setback, non-accomplishment, poverty. If you want to see your church grow, meet the needs of people. We've talked about um places that are demonized, people that are demonized, >> and what comes up is a term called doorways. >> Mhm. >> What are doorways? Okay. The concept of doorways is very straightforward. A doorway is a point of entry. So for example, when we talk about a area that could be infiltrated with demonic powers, then you need to look at the activity that takes place in those areas.
M >> so for example if an occultic person is operating and they create an altar from that altar they actually get in touch with the forces of darkness through the their activity they have created a spiritual doorway >> and what is interesting once they create that spiritual doorway the powers they attract has legal rights to that area or that place based on their demonic activity. >> Mhm. And so individuals sadly through ignorance >> can create spiritual doorways where they can be impacted and affected by demonic powers and the extent can be farreaching farreaching.
I'll give a couple of examples. I remember there uh when we just moved to um started the new church in Ellbury um I won't mention names I'll just say what the situation was there was a 12year-old boy >> he got filled with the Holy Ghost and um he started to have bad dreams >> I says and he says pastor I dream I'm flying. I says, "I beg your pardon." He says, "I dream and I've got superhuman strength." And I say this because a lot of people do not recognize one of the communist doorway. >> Mhm. >> The internet, >> and I built I I'll give about three doorways. That young man was watching some horror program. >> Mhm. >> Children >> for children. And And I've never seen the program myself. He told me what it was, but I've never watched it. And it was about a werewolf. And this is what happened. He watched it and all his school friends watched it. So over the weekend they watched it. So this this was a a Friday night in Alsbury and um he came and he said to me, "Pastor, I was bitten by a werewolf." I said, "I beg you pardon." He said, "Yeah, I was bit." I said, "Where did he bite you?" He says, "On my left should on my shoulder." And I says, "Okay, are you sleeping properly?" And this is about Dory. He said, "No, I I'm just kind of tossing and I don't know what it is." >> Mhm. >> And uh so I said, "Okay, let me pray for you >> cuz this is a kid." >> So I got my anointing oil. Um and I anointed his shoulder where he was bitten. And to my horror, he said to me, "Ah, it's hurting. It's paining." So I said, "What are you talking about?" He says, "We've just anointed my shoulder. It's paining." And I said, "Okay." And this is where I now picked up this is not natural. Anointing oil doesn't cause pain. So I said, "Okay, let me pray." I says, "In the name of Jesus." All of a sudden his eyes rolled over. I just saw white. He collapsed. So I grabbed him and I thought, "What in the world is going on?" Then he started to vomit. So we rushed him to the toilet. My wife was with me. And then when I went into the bathroom because he was vomiting, I says, "In the name of Jesus, who are you?" >> And all I heard was a growl. I won't make the noise. It's like a dog growling. I said, "Are you the werewolf?" And he growled. I says, "In the name of Jesus, every demonic werewolf," I says, "You were you was the one that beat him in the dream. I challenge you." The battle lasted about 20 minutes >> and the battle was over. And the young man very spiritually he could see in the spirit. He says pastor I saw what happened. I says really? He says when you cast him out I saw that the earth opened and this spirit which was a dark entity went into the earth and the earth closed. 12year-old boy. Here is my point. The doorway was that the cartoon he was watching was demonic >> and from his desire to be like this werewolf. The spirit behind the the demonic spirit behind the werewolf entered into him and that was the growling I heard of a creature. So what you're saying a person can be demonized by watching television. Absolutely.
I'll give you another example. I had to deal with now most people would say this is crazy. It's not crazy. You'll have people in front of you. They need help and you just need to understand the spirit realm better. I went to preach for a friend of mine and um there was a lady there. I won't say uh what her position was but she was used very well in the church very gifted and I went to teach on deliverance and she was present and she left. She says she cannot stay in the presence of the teacher. So my framing you meaning me. So I saw when my friend the pastor of the church went after her and he came back and he said, "Bishop, she needs help." I says, "Okay." She goes, "She's wants your number." And this is about doorways again. >> And I gave her my number. Here's the phone call. She goes, "Um, I'm very gifted. Um, I'm used mightily by God, but I have a problem and I really need help. I said, "Well, what is your problem?" She goes, "I I lust after women." And I just listen and I don't pretend to be shocked because the issue is here is a person that is asking for help. >> And I said, "Okay." Now I says, "Were you always like this?" She says, "No." And immediately I went to the doorway and I said, "Okay. Um, please don't feel embarrassed, but do you watch pornography?" She went quiet. He said, "Yes." And I said, "Um, do you watch lesbian pornography?" And she said, "Yes." And then she just opened up. She goes, "I can have a great time in church." And I come home and something overtakes my mind and forces me and I just give way to go on the internet and I watch lesbian pornography. >> Mhm. >> And she says, "When I go to work, when I'm on the undergrounds and I look at ladies I just lust after." And I said, "I know what your problem is." I says, "You have opened the doorway through viewing pornography for the unclean lesbian spirit to enter. >> Are you prepared to be set free?" She said, "Yes." The deliverance happened some weeks after with members of her church present. I took one of the ministers with me. Those devils hated us because they were uncovered. >> That lady, this is all good news, that lady is now happily married. >> M >> and is still in church.
So the understanding in in essence is this. There are different doorways that different people um sadly if they are if they're not living for God >> and they trigger those doorways something can enter in. And by far the biggest doorway I've dealt with over many many years is the doorway of the occult and witchcraft. You also have the doorways which is common of people fascinated with the supernatural Oy board and tarot cards and this and that and most people they're just fascinated but they don't realize that once you go into the devil's territory it's very difficult to go into his territory and not be impacted >> by what you find there. >> So you said, "Hey, this person was heavily used in church." Absolutely. And all due to her opening up a door. Absolutely. So she was spiritfilled. Yes. But the door was open. And so how'd you explain that? very simple. Um my very clear understanding is this because over the years the people I would say 98% of the people I've prayed for are not unsaved people. They're believers. >> Wait a minute. And so it means that there are some doorways in the believer's life and >> some people believe automatically if you're saved it can't be. It's not. So you say 98% of the people >> are believers >> have been the ones that have been delivered >> are believers. >> Correct. You see, give me an example. A believer can commit sin, right? Okay, let me I'm trying to find the right language to use. Somebody member came to me and says, "Pastor, I things are not right. I need help." Okay. And now let's just talk about common doorways. Let's leave the occultic element. Galatians, it talks about the works of the flesh which are manifest which are these. Amongst those I've cast out many spirits. Spirit of fornication, spirit of adultery, unclean spirits, spill of jealousy, spirit spirit of pride, etc., etc. >> Now, those are those spirits weren't from unbelievers. So my point is this. If a believer does the wrong thing, >> the Bible says we are servants to whom we obey. >> So the word of God is there to give us direction and to sanctify us. And when we walk in line with the word of God, things are good. But if a believer falls into sin, >> anything can happen to them. >> So essentially all it means the bondage is in their flesh or in their mind, not in their spirit. So this is what describe fleshly spirits. Is this what you're describing right now? >> Okay. Yeah. Fleshy spirits. Let's in the scriptures in in Galatians 5, it talks about um that we should walk in the spirit, walk by the spirit, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh or the desires of the flesh. >> So for many and it doesn't mean everyone who commits um fleshly sins is demonized. It doesn't mean that, >> right? >> None at all. Um, so I don't believe every person who commits fornication, every liar is demonized. Absolutely not. But somehow some can be.
Okay. Here's a classic case that I dealt with. This was been about 20 years ago. Church brother. Um, he goes home. I'm not going to say where home is because nobody should have an understanding who this is. Um, and he he goes home um somewhere in Africa and he comes back and he he's just different. And so what he does, he was very smart. He says to me, "Pastor, I need to talk to you." I said, "Okay." And I said, "Um, what's the problem?" He says, "Pastor, I I messed up." Now this this brother was married. He says, "I messed up." I said, "What do you mean?" He says, "I I just just lost. I was in fornication," so on and so forth. I says, "You need to repent." He says, "I have. I've confessed and please pray for me." I didn't expect anything to happen. So I led him to repentance and I ask God to wash him, cleanse him through the blood of Jesus. You know, first John, if you sin, if you confess your sins, he's faithful and just to forgive you of your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. So I just thought that was it. So I laid hands on him and he was on the floor and I heard a loud sound coming out of him. Leave him alone. Leave him alone. I said, "What?" I said, "Who are you?" Didn't want to. I says, "In the name of Jesus Christ, who are you?" And he says, "Um, I'm fornication." And I was the one that was there. And he confessed, the demon confessed to me what he did. And I woke up the brother and I says, "You need to repent and ask the Lord to forgive you and to wash and cleanse you." Because fornication had a legal right based on his sins. >> He did that. And I went back and I prayed for him. The demon was mad with me. He says, "Next time I will kill him." I says, "I forbid it in the name of Jesus. Come out of him. I cast you to hell." And the bro, the brother hugged me. Was very emotional. I don't know why he did but he hugged me was cuz as his pastor I was disgusted with >> but my point is simply this >> he opened the door. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> It's very difficult to play with fire without it burning you.
How how are some ways that you >> have seen demons manifest? Wow. Diverse ways. Okay. The different doorways, the doorways of the flesh. Um, I'll say this, demons typically manifest in an environment where the power and the presence of God is rich. M >> if you're in an environment for example and if you carry a strong anointing a strong anointing um they will manifest just like with Jesus everywhere Jesus went they just manifested it >> they just man matter of fact they were petrified of Jesus because they knew who he was and the power that was invested in him and That's why even the man with legion, he he was he was intreating Jesus, please don't send me out to the country. >> And the legion is up to 6,000. And Jesus says, go into the swines. And they demonstrated in the swines what they wanted to do to a man. >> And with that, the man was I mean, he was so profoundly affected by what Jesus did. He asked Jesus if he would follow him >> because he has been in that condition for such a long time. >> And Jesus says no, but go and testify what good things the Lord has done for you. And he went man went to the capitalist 10 cities and told him what Jesus had done for him. Now, manifestations, I I don't take much to manifestations. I shut them down. Why? Because if a demon manifest in a service, they're seeking attention. M >> so when you see it manif you put an end to it >> because sometimes most people for example I've just come back from um from abroad >> and we were dealing with I was asked to teach on um deliverance and I did warn pastor says Lord I can teach and expose the devil but if you ask me to pray and it's just a general prayer. I can disturb them with that. Um, but that doesn't mean they're set free. Okay. So, I tend not to focus on their manifestation. I shut them down on the basis of the the victim >> because the victim can be embarrassed openly because of what the devil will do. >> Okay? >> And there may be people in the church that never seen anything like this and they can be afraid. So the spirit of fear can come upon them. I tend not to give the devil that opportunity. m >> to show off and to embarrass people, I shut them down. That doesn't mean I don't deal with it.
So, here's a classic example. I was teaching and I was talking about bloodline curses. A bloodline curse basically is something that's done in the generations. And in the classic case of bloodline curses could be like say say your grandfather had a problem with the neighbor and the neighbor went to a demonic altar and cursed the grandfather and his descendants. >> Then that's what you'd call a bloodline curse. It goes from one generation to another. But the origin was when it was initiated. So here what happened? I was just literally I wasn't doing anything. I was just talking about you know some of the issues we can face our bloodline curses and I says you know father grandfather and I said these bloodline curses when once recognized need to be dealt with. >> And I I won't hide it. I was very surprised. A young man just fell on the ground, started fluttering as if he was having a fit and screaming and screaming. I thought, "Oh, no, please." So I said to the pastor and another minister, "Look, just go and shut it down. Command it to be at peace." and they tried and they couldn't do it. Now I was there teaching and it was like a major destruction. So I said, um, okay, take him out. Take him in the office and deal with it. But you're dealing with a bloodline generational curse. >> Half an hour later, he came out. He was completely set free. But when they interrogated the spirit, it confessed what was done three generations ago. Wow. And it's in the bloodline, but he was set free. So my point is this thing there can be manifestations. Sometimes there are not other things that people say to you, Lord, I just can't sleep properly. M >> I just can't sleep. Um and other things they would say I have bad dreams and and I keep dreaming the same thing. And you've got to you know with wisdom interrogate. I'm not quick to jump to lay hands on prey. No. Because unless you know what you're dealing with, >> you could make it worse. >> Yeah. Yeah. You know, and I always say to folks, I I use this phrase. I says, "Don't start a fight unless you're prepared to finish it." >> And in that place, there were other manifestation. I say, "Shut them." >> And there was one particular brother, he was his manifestation was so bad, it's as if he lost his mind and he he drove a long way to come to that meeting. And the pastor's wife said to me that this man wouldn't be able to drive home. >> He's it's as if to say he's it's as if he's lost his mind. I said, "No, he's going to be okay." >> And this is what I said. And and unless you know these things, you might say, "Oh my god, should we ring the ambulance?" Well, it wasn't a case for the ambulance. He just needs to come back to his senses. >> And in front of them, I says, "Father, in the name of Jesus, I command the mind of this brother to come back into him through the blood of Jesus. He will be of a sound mind." >> And guess what happened? He just came around. The manifestations stopped and the brother, which I remember his name, came around. He looked he saw he was on the floor as if to say what happened to me? What happened to me? I felt so sad. I said look I'll be going back but give me your number and I'll help you. >> I came back. He was set free 3 weeks ago. >> Mhm. and a Sunday night there's a 5hour difference but I it was like after midnight our time >> 7:00 their time so my point is this manifestations you need to know how to handle them >> most important thing sit the person down talk to them >> what is it that you're going through what is it that you're experiencing have you done anything so I call that uh pre-eliverance counsel. >> Okay. >> When you then once you hear from them then you have an understanding. Now you still don't just pray. >> Uhhuh. >> There could be issues in their lives. >> There could be issues of hurt. >> There could be issues of unforgiveness. There could be all kind of personal related issues. And until those individuals make their mind up to say I forgive it there could be elements of repentance. If they don't repent don't pray. Ah devil's giving them a warm time. So repentance forgiveness and forsaking sin all those issues. Once that's polished up, then you can go and really take authority >> and cast those devils up. Because if you try to do it prematurely, they'll just look you straight in the eye and say, "I'm not going to know." >> Yeah. >> This is very important because I think there may be a lot of people who believe that these things can happen, but the the steps that you're talking about right now is it's very important. Mhm. >> I mean, the the whole interrogation or the interview, the spiritual interview, I like that.
Uh, can a person be delivered from false gods? Oh, yeah. I think anywhere you go, um, let's just deal with idol worship, >> okay? Um, I've I've I've preached in Africa, preached in a few nations. Been to Zimbabwe, haven't you? >> Oh, God. And I went to Zimbabwe. Let me just deal with that. Um, and if anyone's watching and they know when we talk about uh ancestral spirits, okay, let's just deal with that. And I remember a particular case where I was asked to help a Zimbabwean lady and I said, "Well, what's the issue?" and she said she's the first born and her father died and she was asked to do a particular ritual. She didn't want to do it. So she was caught between her faith where you you don't deal with cultural issues and then her position as firstborn in the family. >> Oh, that happens a lot. There you go. So, you kind of know what I'm talking about. And so, this lady now, she couldn't get out of it. She did it. Whatever it was, I wasn't interested, but she just said, "I shouldn't have done it as a Christian." And after that, she was affected. She couldn't sleep properly and she was tormented. And a pastor, Zimbabwean pastor asked me if I could help. So then once again this is how you had to do it. She had to repent. She was under pressure to keep their customs >> and her position was it's it was difficult. She had to repent. She had to ask God to forgive her. Then she now had to renounce, reject whatever was done and break the agreement. Otherwise, I would not have prayed. >> Mhm. >> And after she did that, the legal rights of the ancestral spirit was broken. We prayed for her. She collapsed. her husband grabbed her and I cast out >> the ancestral spirits. It lasted about 20 minutes and she came around and we were all rejoicing. These are deep things. So, you know, when it comes to cultural backgrounds, we cannot be ignorant as if to say we're just going to take the scriptures and we just preach to them >> and think it's okay. There are deep things that are ingrained. For example, I've dealt with Asian spirits. There was a lady, she's now gone home to be with the Lord and she says, "Pastor, I know I need deliverance." She was from Guyana. But Gy are predominantly Asians. I had to deal with Asian gods. I called them by name. It's not because she was serving them, but that's her root. She was bought up in the Asian culture and she was serving these Asian gods. Okay. and um dealt with Ganesh. I dealt with um to be honest, I don't even want to mention the main ones. >> But in order to deal with them, you don't just call them by name. The person who is affected has to reject, renounce and break every link, every tie and every covenant that was made. >> After that, then you cast them out.
So, are those spirits uh deeper? The ones you're dealing with, maybe religion as well as culture, is that a is that a deeper process? it. Okay. Um, it's a good question because, okay, fleshy spirits are not not they not that deep. >> A fleshy spirit will hold on to a person's sin. >> But when you deal with deep witchcraft, you're dealing with deep stuff. >> When you're dealing with um idol worship, you're dealing with deep stuff. Cuz if we think about idol worship, what's behind it? Ultimately, Satan. >> Yeah. >> Because he desires worship. So he has a network in the kingdom of darkness. And the network is that you should worship me. >> So if you look in Africa, they worship water spirits. Water spirits are essentially a demonic power and their domain is the water. >> Then there's another demonic power, their domain is the woods. That's familiar spirit. Then there is in scriptural in a scriptural context necromancy. The spirit of necromancy is is the spirit of the grave. The the domain of the dead. It's not a human spirit. These are grave spirits. So once you have a knowledge of the background >> then you can address them accordingly. But the most important thing is to recognize that every power has a power base. >> Right? The power base is their altar. >> Yeah. So um if you think about when um the children of Israel came out of Egypt, what did God tell Moses to do? He said, "Make me a sanctuary >> that I may dwell amongst them." The sanctuary was the power base of the kid of the children of Israel. And as long as they kept the law, as long as they walked in line with the laws, the commandments, the statutes, the ordinances, they were invincible >> because they were in a covenant relationship with Almighty God. >> That's the positive side of altars. So every Christian must have their own altar, a place of prayer. >> And so long as they are in tuned and in fellowship and a healthy relationship with God, other paths will come against them. But they'll never overcome.
There are many Christians who claim to be Christians. I won't say that. There are many. Yeah, there are many people who claim to be Christians who want to speak with their dead loved ones and and things of that or want to hear from their dead loved ones or their dead friends. Is speaking to your dead loved ones that's for is that forbidden? Absolutely yes. And let's just talk about what it means. I've seen some things at funerals that I said, "God, this is not good. I've seen drink libation." A libation is a drink offering. >> Mhm. >> But it's to the dead. Mhm. >> And my very clear understanding is that uh if you if you go into I think Deuteronomy 18 and it talks about the practices of the Canaanites. >> Yeah. >> And he talks about the various spiritual activities. >> All right. Amongst them was necromancy should not be found. Now, if we just just follow me for a little. When Saul, King Saul, had no dreams, no revelations, King Saul decided to consult the occultic realm. That's >> right. >> And King Saul says, "Find me a witch with a familiar spirit." Now, they had to look good because he purged Israel of riches. Hey y'all, I know you're enjoying the show, but please don't forget to like, subscribe, and follow us on all of our socials, as well as viewing our content on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcast. Now, back to the show. And if I use that Bible story >> and he says he when he went to the witch, he says, "Bring me up. Who am I will ask? And he says, "What do you see?" He said, "I see gods coming out of the earth." He says, "What form is he of an old man?" And he says, "It's Samuel." Now, if God did not speak by prophets, neither by dreams, neither by revelation, how is it now occultically you're going to bring up God's prophet. >> He was dealing with a grave spirit, >> right? >> Okay. So, let's just bring it down to practical terms. uh our loved ones, we buried them. I my both of my parents have gone home to be with the Lord. I never go to the graveside and have a conversation with >> cuz they're not there. They're with the Lord. So when a person goes to a con, okay, I'll give you one example. And uh once again, no names, but somebody rang me and says, "Pastor, I know I need prayer." I says, "Okay, what happened?" She goes, "The Lord brought back something to me, and I know it needs to be dealt with." I says, "Okay, what is that?" She goes, "Before I knew um before I knew the Lord, my father died." And I was on going under a lot of spiritual attacks. And what I did, I I knew it was wrong. I said, "Okay, what did you do?" She said, "I went to his grave. I fell asleep on the grave. I wept at the grave and I was saying to him, you told me you would have protected me." And she wept and she wept. Father is dead. And I said, "I'm sorry. What you did was wrong. Seriously wrong. What you were doing, you were beckoning on the grave spirit that represents your father to come to your aid. >> I say you need prayer. This person is now a believer obviously. And I says, "Father, in the name of Jesus, I" and she had to reject, renounce, and break every link with the grave spirit that represented her father. because her own action of going to the grave, weeping on his grave and telling him or supposedly him, um, you're not protecting me. That opened the door. That was a portal. That was a doorway into her life. And guess what happened? >> The grave spirit of our father was there. Challenged it. cast it out. It's no longer there. These things are mysteries. Um, but they're real. >> And you find different cultures do different things. For example, I'm from Jamaica and I when I was teaching there not long ago, I said to them, I says, there are some practices that's done which is not good. You have the family plot and in the family plot you have granddad, grand uncle, grand this, dad, all these graves in your family plot where the house is. Not good. Why? It means that the grave spirit has a legal right to that land. They've I've been there and I I was asked by even a preacher, "Oh, could you consecrate this place for me?" When I went to the back, I was shocked. >> I didn't enter inside of the church, but when I back of the church, all these graves of all the elders and deacons and ministers and this and deaconesses, it was like a little graveyard. So I said look um I said bishop uh this is another apostolic group. as a bishop, look, I can consecrate this area, but anywhere graves are, you can't >> conse I I have to say I literally draw a line >> that area because of the fact they being buried there give legal rights for grave spirits to operate. >> I says that can't be. So are you >> I left it. >> Are you saying that believers shouldn't go to the graveside of their dead loved ones? >> No, you can go to the graveside, for example, Mother's Day, put some flowers down, tidy up the grave. It's it's it's how you remember. So that's fine, but please don't go there and start talking to them as if they're alive and expect an answer because you are just pushing the boundaries of healthy communication. >> You know, it's like going home and praying to your mother. No, you don't do that. You just don't do that. So most people don't realize that they're opening up access to themselves by such actions. Don't recommend.
Yeah. There are different types of spirits in witchcraft. >> Mhm. >> Could you give us some examples of the type of spirits that are involved in witchcraft? Because I would believe that each country, each region might have Brazil might be a little different than America. America might be a little different. give us some examples of the different types of witchcraft spirits. >> Uh well, please say I don't profess to be a specialist by in the ears of international different kinds of witchcraft but the principles are the same. Let's just deal with the principle and I'll talk about it. The principle in witchcraft is that there must be an altar >> through their rituals. They will conjure up spirits. What they conjure up depends on their action. So for example, the common one that is used are grave spirits. Okay? Where a person goes to a grave and this is a occultic person I must add. goes to a grave do perform their ritual and the grave spirit come to do their bidding. >> Mhm. >> How do I know that? I've dealt with so many. And when the de when the demon speaks to the person the demon which says I was paid this is my assignment. I have to do this. Oh yeah. It's literally like you're in the army and the general comes to you as a major and says go there and do that. You salute and says yes sir. So they are paid. But when you intervene with the power and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, you can break the covenant. You break the assignment and you can cast. So the one that's very very common is grave spirit. If you go into West Africa, and to be honest, not just West Africa, all over, okay? You're dealing with marine spirits or water spirits. Water spirits deals with the sea, deals with rivers, deals with lakes. So then there is um and then there's also demigods which are marine um of interest. Deeon Deeon was a marine spirit, >> half man, half fish. >> Yeah. >> Um and that's going that's way back in Bible now. And if you go back and look at the origins of many of the gods in the Bible, then you see that wow, you know, the devil is not idle. Even though we are now in the modern age, those spirits are still there. I had experiences when I went to Sweden and I was in the city of Goththingberg went into the center of the city and the power that was there was a marine spirit. The image of a marine spirit. It was Triton the three forks half. I mean these things are deep. Okay. So different parts of the earth world do different things. So then you have another one which is familiar spirit. >> Familiar spirit dwells in forest and bushes. So if you go to South America and you deal with some of the stuff. Okay, here's one. I had to pray for an English teacher. He went on the internet, looked up deliverance ministry, found us. I never kept in touch with them. But this man is a graduate. He's got his masters. He's a teacher. Went to um uh was Brazil went to Brazil and in those regions in the forest you have shaman priests. He was initiated and it w they used a particular tea. I'm not going to mention it. and and it was hallucinogenic and all kind of crazy things. He came back to London and he realized he needed deliverance. So he went to his pastor who was an anglican pastor. The pastor says, "I I I don't know anything about this." So he I got the call and he says, "Look, my name is so and so. Um I'm English. I'm a teacher, but I I I was I've been a bit stupid as a believer. I just wanted to experience something supernatural. And I went to Brazil. I went to the rainforest and I went to the shaman priest. They gave me this. They initiated me. He said, "I was manifesting. I was jumping around dancing." He says, "I don't want that. Please, can you help me?" Cuz a long story short, he came to the church. We stayed one night in the hall and then I challenged the spirit behind a name. The spirit surfaced. He started to manifest doing the dance and this and the battle lasted about about hour and a half and God totally set this English man free. He hugged us. He says, "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. and I dropped him home. He lives in an uppercross area. Um and and for me as a believer, he was obviously very stupid. Which believer would want to have supernatural experiences with a shaman priest? He was set free. The power behind it was um some hallucinogenic drug and on top of that familiar spirit. So you have grave spirit with necromancy which is worldwide. You have marine spirit which is worldwide everywhere. For example, um there's a particular we have there's a particular group of people that we have a lot in our in our organization. They're from the far east, but I won't say those far eastern spirits. I have dealt with many many and they are combination of grave spirit marine because you see what I'm said these guys who are a cultic they know how to pull power okay >> okay okay some of them the power behind them is fallen angels that's another story but let's not go into that um so you got marine spirits you got grave spirits you got familiar spirits then if you deal with witches you're licking the earth spirit spirits, earth spirits, >> and there's lots of crazy stuff out there. And what it is, people are attracted to the supernatural. They get seduced by the supernatural. >> They get contaminated. And those that are sensible run to Jesus for help. M >> and when they run to Jesus um if they don't fully commit themselves to the Lord I don't guarantee they can be I prayed for unsaved folks and after praying their deliverance I said to them I'll tell you what Jesus said go your way and sin no more lest the worst thing come upon you I said I cannot guarantee you will keep your deliverance If you become a born again and you love Jesus, then you enter a covenant relationship with Jesus and heaven has to back you. >> Yeah. >> Heaven has to keep and preserve you. M
There was a a sister that was here yesterday who we interviewed and she was saying that when she was young >> her mother used to bathe them in beer >> and there was a blue >> Mhm. >> liquid that she would pour in there >> and then she would have them walk around in the middle of the night and >> tell them not to look back. >> Mhm. Have you heard of anything? >> No, that one is straightforward. That's that's an initiation. That's an initiation. So when a person is initiated, so in some cases those type of initiation is done for protection. M. >> So if you live in a in a community where there's a lot of witchcraft, sadly they don't what should happen doesn't happen. And and I pause just to say this. It is my experience over I would say for the past 30 years that ministries are ignorant and not say ignorant in a negative way but they just don't know >> about deliverance. And as a result um you find that people suffered and they suffer badly. I'll give you one quick story. I matter of fact it was only yesterday we finished this deliverance. I had to pray for someone when I was in Jamaica and she says please bishop could you pray for my sister? She's in the UK. I kind of always sigh because you help one and that one brings another and if you had a list of say 10 people it never gets less than 10 because when you help number 10, number 10 recommends two persons. So you now got 12. You bring it back to 10 and one of the 12 recommends some. And but I I was in a position I said God you said if I'm faithful in a little you make me rule over much and that's the scripture that encourages me because it's like you went to Jesus said Jesus look I need help >> and he says no Jesus has never said no >> has never said so here is a classic example example of what can happen if nobody understands deliverance. This lady, she's 60 years old. She has been disturbed from she was a child. She's been born again, baptized in an apostolic church filled with the Holy Ghost. She lived in a community with deep witchcraft. Everything there's some Okay, let's just just get real. There's three spirits if you want to mess up a person >> that is very common throughout the world. Setback, non-accomplishment, poverty. All her life she's been subject to that. And she opened up, this was just yesterday, saying that there were other things she remember because once you start help them, God kind of triggered their memory and they bring other things. And just before the deliverance was over, she broke down. She wept. And I'm going to tell you why she wept. She goes, "I have been seeking deliverance for the last how many years? More than 20 years. I've been in church all my life. She's 60, not married, no children, struggling with jobs, this, that, the other, this, that, the other. She's a bright lady. She's an attractive lady. as if to say, "Surely you must be married." >> Nothing. And when she explained to us what she went through and we broke all those things, what made her weep was years of suffering, no help. ministries never knew what to do. And she was weeping because she says, "I've wasted so many years. I never thought I could find anyone who could help and deliver me from the curses that was placed on my life." She said, "I I was just at the point of just giving up as if to say, is life worth living? I've fasted. I've prayed. She wept. Now, sadly, now I would say perhaps might be too extreme an example, but even though someone might say so, that's her story. >> Yeah. Yeah. It's true. >> That's her experience. >> You can tell what happened. The end of that, please. I've got another sister. Could you help? >> How can you say no? >> No, you can't. So my dear friend, you know, people have suffered and my my take is that uh ministries just need to I I remember I think I mentioned this in previous podcast that I did with you where uh many years ago I went to a church growth seminar >> and I never forget he was a UPC minister Tim, I think it's Massenale or Massendelle, he was teaching and he me he mentioned one sentence and I've never forgotten and all these years in ministry I use it as a template. He said, "If you want to see your church grow, >> meet the needs of people." I've never forgotten. >> And all these years I've been pastoring, I said, "God, you need to help me." >> Yeah. to meet the needs of people >> and help the church that we could minister effectively. >> Yeah. >> To meet the needs of people. I've never forgotten that. That's been with me for many years.
Is is healing and deliverance is that an urgent need that needs to be met within the church? Absolutely. Absolutely. I think if a person you know um I think just study the life of Jesus that's all. >> Don't worry about other ministries. Study the life of Jesus and look what Isaiah said about Jesus. Spirit of the Lord is upon me. >> For the Lord has an anointed me. >> One, to preach the gospel to the poor. To bring deliverance, to bring healing, set at liberty to them that are bruised. >> Yeah. >> To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. That's what Jesus did. And nobody could have done it better. And that's why um when we when we preach Christ, and this is what I say to all preachers, when you preach Christ, expect him to show up. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> The fact that he said, "I'll never leave you nor forsake you." >> So I have confidence. >> Yeah. >> That when I preach him, he shows up. >> Shows up. Now, I don't just take that for granted. Spend time with him. >> Spend time with him. And it does cost us something, but it's worth it because ultimately, you know, the lady I told you that wept, >> I can say what area she lives in Birmingham. >> Do you know what she said to me? She says, "Bishop, please, I need to come and visit your church in London." >> She says, "Is there a BNB close to the church?" I says, "There's a hotel right beside the church." She says, "I want to come." Now I'm not looking for her to come. But she says after all her life of suffering, she finally was set free. I want to visit the ministry. >> Now why am I telling you that? Am I blowing a trumpet? Absolutely not. I've coming back. If you want to see the church grow, meet the needs of people. That's a very broad remit of which healing and deliverance is just a part. >> There are other areas of ministry. >> Yeah. >> You know, um people's mental health, that's an area of ministry. Am I an expert on that? Absolutely not. But if I have a lot of people visiting the church with mental health, I have to find a way to meet the needs of people. >> Yeah. >> If there are people coming to a church that has spiritual problems, we all have to find a way of meeting the needs. >> Yeah. >> Interesting. Remember when Jesus said uh these signs shall follow them that believe? What was the first sign? In my name they shall cast out doubts, >> but it's hardly done. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> They shall speak with new tongues. We do that very well. >> Train out there. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> So my point is this. This is not a sometimes it's seen as if this is so specialist. No, >> it's it's a broad remit >> that God has given. True. The this is warfare, spiritual warfare. And in warfare, you have to be trained. You have to
There's basic training for those that go into the armed forces.
Mhm.
Uh, there's, there's, um, rest, there's all of these things. What, um, what part does, what, what are the requirements in this level of spiritual warfare?
Okay. The most essential element for me is prayer. Prayer. I don't think we pray enough. I don't think I do pray, but I think I can do better. Okay. I use this statement jokingly many times. We can overeat. We can oversleep. We can overindulge in many issues, but we can never over pray. Never over pray.
So, in terms of how we gravitate to embrace an area of ministry that we may not, um, we may not naturally have. First of all, none of us can labor outside of the remit of the grace of God. So Jesus says, "Come boldly to the throne of grace, whereby we can obtain mercy and grace to help in the time of need." Now, that grace is not necessarily saving grace. No, empowering grace. Empowering grace equips us to do what God wants us to do.
And anyone can be trained. So, for example, when we, if we had to join the armed forces, they're not interested in who your grandfather was or your dad. They just see you. Yeah. And you might have a chip on your shoulder. You might have hurts and pains from family and rel. They're not interested. They're not. They're just saying, "You join the armed forces, we will train you." And by the time they finish training, you have a disciplined soldier that is effective for action.
And so it is, if we use the armed forces as a template, what about the kingdom of God, the army of the Lord? Yeah. We also need a sense of discipline, a sense of obedience, a sense of spiritual empowerment that will come to us. And when we have that, you might say, well, you know, pastor, I don't know anything about this type of ministry, but you desire to know. God acts upon the good desires of your heart. Mhm.
Then you go to the one who gives grace and says, "Lord, I need the grace for this." Yeah. And then because you need the grace for this, this is not the grace for you need such that you're somebody. No, it's about the needs of the people. There are people out there. They need help. So, for example, if we're, you pastor, okay, said the vast majority of people are sick, you don't need to prophesy. That's not meeting their needs. You need some healing. Yeah. To minister effectively to those people. Yeah.
And so it is, let every, I would say, let every pastor look at what the needs are amongst the congregation and in their local area and equip themsel accordingly. Yeah. And it, you know, this is just, we're speaking in the context of say, deliverance and healing, but you can leave that and find something else. What is it that's impacting the people? What are the needs of the people? How are we going to meet those needs? There are so many areas that we can go into. There's only so many hours of the day.
Okay. How do we break spiritual covenants? A covenant basically is an agreement. So when a person is bewitched against their will, a covenant was made. So when we do deliverance, we are mindful of the mechanism of witchcraft. So now, and I need to explain some of these mechanisms, such that when you set out to pray, the prayer is not just generalized and woolly, it can be quite specific.
Okay. So, um, with witchcraft covenants, somebody has consulted an altar. Mhm. They have given, through their occultic practices, they have given an assignment to demons to carry out. In some cases, this is what happens. They demonize the person by giving them food or drink that has been cursed, and the demon comes. They, um, so there's some indicators by dream states as to what has taken place. Now, these are the ind, we're not talking about demons of the flesh now, they're being very specific for witchcraft. So there are some dreams people can have. I'll just touch a few of them, but it's important you have an understanding what they are, such that when you're going to break the covenant, you have an understanding what you're breaking.
So, here's, uh, some classic dream states. If a person dreams that they're eating in the dream, it's not good. And we're not talking about a person going to bed and they're a bit peckish, so they dream about eating. None. This is a specific act in witchcraft where a person could mess you up by giving you food that has been cursed. In addition to that, witches and occultic people, they can feed you in their dream, and that's because of their demonic rituals. And when you're fed, it means they are reinforcing a demonic covenant.
Some people will dream and they're chased in the dream, which means they're under witchcraft attack. They're running away. They see themselves being chased by people, see themselves being chased by animals. That's just classic. In other cases, people see themsel, and and there's a particular area I won't go into details and I wouldn't want to, where people can see themsel being intimate in the dream, and there are reasons for that. Those that would be to destroy relationships, an antimarital spirit. Um, people can see themsel, and they could be on a journey. They know they're going from one place to another. They can never ever reach their destination. That's very, very common in rich car. That's a spirit of non-accomplishment. So I just use those as a few examples.
So, there's a whole series of information you need to gather by pre-deliverance counseling. So let's just take two, say, um, let's take eating in the dream and let's take you can't reach your destination. Now, when a person eats in the dream, that means something has been programmed in the food. When they can't reach their destination, that's a spirit of non-accomplishment. So whoever set that against them, it means their life is going to be hard. Whatever you're trying to achieve, you will not achieve it. So that person now comes to deliverance.
Other things we ask them, is there anyone that you know really don't like you and have professed they will do things to hurt you? In some cases, the answer is yes. And some of the classic would be a relative, a friend, a neighbor. Why? Jealousy. It's typically jealousy. And so then the information gathering is critical before you do deliverance. So we call that pre-deliverance counseling.
Then here's another classic one that I think is worth noting. People would say, "Look, um, I put my ring down, I can't find it." Or, "I, I, I put some a personal item down, an item of clothing. It's just completely disappeared." In some cases, it never comes back. In other cases, the item comes back four or five days later. Time can vary. Then you say, "Well, what in the world does that mean?" Well, this is what it means. When you have items that disappear, they're stolen demonically. They end up on an altar, something is programmed in into it.
Now, once they tell you of these experiences, now when it comes to the deliverance, this is what happens. You now need to. And if these individuals are not believers, they can't renounce and break covenants. Mhm. Yeah. They're not saved. Yeah. They have no authority. But if it's a Christian, which invariably it is, I says, "No, you need to first of all, you can't have any issue with anyone personally. If there's any form of unforgiveness, bitterness, hurt in your life, forgive the perpetrators. Why? There should be no power resident that will stop you from being delivered.
The next thing we now say to them, we now every covenant made against your life, knowingly or unknowingly, you renounce, you reject, and you break those covenants. Any curse is made against you verbally or written, you renounce, you reject, and you break those curses. Any demonic initiation made against you, knowingly or unknowingly, you renounce, you reject, and you break those initiation. And then after that, I would normally say to them, repeat after me Isaiah 28:18. "And my covenant with death shall be disannulled, and my agreement with hell shall not stand. When the overflowing scourge, that's God's judgment, shall pass through, then he shall be trodden down by it in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
So when people make covenants, the covenant is for destruction, ultimately death. Not always, but just destruction. But there is no agreement with that person and hell. None whatsoever. And then this is how it pro, um, we will now proceed. The person who eats in the dream, he just says, "Father, in the name of Jesus," and, um, words are important. I now challenge the power that calls this person to eat in the dream. I break your assignment. I break your covenant. And I command that power now to come out of him or her. And, and, and in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. And sure enough, something happens. And he says, "Anything programmed in the food that they ate, because you don't know what's programmed, unless God gives you word of knowledge, you command the spirit behind it to come out.
Then you deal with the one I call, um, uh, non-accomplishment. Once again, I challenge the spirit of non-accomplishment that has been sown in this person's life through witchcraft. I bind you. I break your assignment. I break your covenant. I command you to come out of him or her. Something else. Now, that's a very brief overview, but what I can say, it works. And then you know, you hear people says, well, I couldn't do this. I couldn't do that. I couldn't do this. No, I'm able to. I'm now working. I'm now this. It breaks bondages. That's what Jesus did. Um, that's what the early church did. And in these last days, the Bible says, "Evil men and seducers will get worse and worse."
And worse. So in all of our ministries, we just have to do more. Yeah. We need help from heaven. And, and that's why we need to be so prayerful. Yeah. You know, the more time you spend with the Lord, and the more he will help you and indeed equip and empower you to do so. This is a very, very broad subject. Very, very broad subject. But I, I, I'mma let you get out of here.
Amen. Thank you. I've held you long enough. I will say to those of you that if you're listening or if you're watching, please prayerfully consider what the bishop has said. These are, this is, this is Bible. This is scripture, what he said. And this is not something that he's read about. This is firsthand accounts. This is experience. This is tried and true. But we would love to hear from you. We'd love to hear your questions, your comments, disagreements. How do you feel about this? How do you feel about, uh, spiritual warfare? How do you feel about the authority that God has given you? Healing and deliverance, whatever you heard today, breaking covenants, all of these things. And I know many of you do have questions about this. And it's, it's these are, as, as bishop said, this is in the end time. In the end time, we, we really need to understand this. And I, I believe a lot of the fear and hesitation that we see even in the church is from ignorance. It's from not understanding. Um, but thank you, Bishop. But as always, your camera's right there. Mhm.
And, uh, as always, I believe God has given you something to say to someone or to anyone out there about any of this. It may not be about what we've talked, what you've talked about today, but it's, I do believe that God has given you something to say, so you can end the show for us. Um, I think from my point of view, I can share my experiences. Um, and I'm sure you'll have another speaker that will do exactly the same. But the bottom line is, there are people out there that are hurt. There are people out there that are in, um, in need, dire need, spiritual need. Um, and I would say in summary, Jesus says, "For lack of knowledge, for lack of knowledge, God, people perish." In another scripture, it says, um, "Do the workers of iniquity have no knowledge?" So from God's point of view, God's people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. The workers of iniquity, they have knowledge.
So, in summary, what I would say, um, until you meet a person that's really impacted by spiritual forces and you've seen the mayhem and the chaos and the destruction in their lives, many of them sick. The doctors don't know what's wrong. Some of them, they can't hold a job down. Some of them, their finances is so poor. Some of them, they're just so dejected from life. But if you have an understanding that there is a root cause and that root cause can be uprooted, then deliverance ministry should never, ever be ignored. I, I'm fully aware that not everyone believes in deliverance and to the extent of deliverance. I'm fully aware of that. But I've always had, uh, a word of comfort and I mentioned it before and I mention it again. Jesus said, "He that is sick needs a physician." If you're not sick, you don't need a physician. If you don't need deliverance, you don't need a physician. But what about those that are sick? And what about those that needs deliverance? So may God open our understanding and may God give us the grace to be effective in ministry and be like Jesus. Meet the needs of individuals, release them and, and, and liberate them in the kingdom of God. Those are my few words of encouragement to you. May God bless you all. Amen. Amen. Amen.
Once again, thank you, Bishop, for your time here. Are you in need of a physician? Do, are you in need of deliverance? As the bishop said earlier, don't wait. Don't be like the, the sister that he talked about. Don't wait your whole life. Reach out. Reach out. Reach out to us. Reach out to someone who understands, who can help you with this. God bless you.
