All right, log 0000 recording from India. We're live. But first, let me show you some footage.
What you're looking at with this sanctuary of wood is actually where I just traveled to that I thought best described physically what I'm doing here with this entire new series. It really felt like the best place in the world to start this new quest line. But before we get into it, I need to bring you into the full context of what I'm doing because that sanctuary you just saw was in Thailand. And I don't know if you can hear the beeping now. If you can, you know I'm in India, but this log exists to catch you up, to brief you on the backstory and the structure of the quest line I'm taking all around the world. It's been wild so far. But let me explain. Let's get down to it.
What am I doing here in India? Well, I'm going to answer that in a question and it's part of what makes this show unique. The entire series is a question. And so the question and the name of the series is "What If With Nick Zy?" So very simply, I'm going to travel around through many of the world's spiritual traditions, philosophies, texts, the things humanity created to try to understand what's true or what's happening in this reality. And I just want to lay them all out on the table for you and let you decide, which is a big difference between this and most other out there. I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I'm just trying to show you the map, which I'm creating one throughout the entire series, and I'm really excited to share with you, but that's not yet.
What I think is more important is saying that this is not a new idea to travel around and try to figure out the truth. That's a major part of what Plato did, of what Buddha did. Xuanzang traveled more than 10,000 li to understand the truth of Buddhism. Alan Watts went to Japan for Zen. Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell both went to India. And so what I'm trying to do is follow in the footsteps of the greats. And I'm going to try to keep this short because I really want to show you the sanctuary, but I got to give you some more context. You might be asking me the question of why. Why do this? Why now? And it's because Plato's cave, you know, I've been saying for years, Plato's cave is the thing that every human really needs to understand. Let's run through it again because it's happening in our society right now again.
So, here's how Plato's Cave goes. It's about people who grow up living in a cave facing a wall. They've never left this cave because they've grown up their entire lives in it. And what they don't know is that behind them is a fire and it cast shadows of objects on the wall. And here's the point. Since the people only ever see the shadows, they think the shadows are reality. Plato's point was that people get stuck in hand-me-down beliefs and mistake a small slice of reality for the whole picture and then think they got it figured out because that's all they've ever known and they just want to stay in their cave even if they're being shown that it's just a shadow. Nowadays, we might call that cognitive dissonance. And honestly, not much has changed except now the shadows show up on our phones. And that's what I call Plato's Cave 2.0. The cave now is our feeds, our headlines, our endless scroll. And the chains aren't physical, they're digital, they're spiritual. And I dealt with so many addictions myself, whether that be to the phone or ways of perceiving that cause myself to suffer. And so being in Thailand and in India, I'm really trying to go all in to get my feet on the ground to map out what's a cave, what's a shadow, and what's actually real.
But I got to mention something else real quick. To make sense of all this, I realized years ago I needed a framework, something that could unify every fragment of truth that I'd find. And that became what I call the Human Game Model. The premise or core idea is that life itself may be some sort of advanced video game. And the Human Game Model says that within many cultures, there are fragments of the same source code of truth. And that's actually the name of this episode. What if there are fragments of the same source code of truth in many different cultures? I think that's pretty dialed because that's what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to map all of it and figure out which ones are true and which codes are false.
Also, the sages of ancient India already had a concept for this. Here in the Vedic tradition, it's called Santana Dharma. The translation might be the eternal order of existence and they were talking about it long before the concept of organized religion as we know it. Sri Aurobindo gave this definition: Dharma is the spirituality that is the basis of all religion. It is the universal truth that upholds all existence. The eternal law of life. So again, it's not a religion. Let's be clear. But rather the foundation of it, a recognition that there's the same source code running the cosmos. What is that? That's what I'm trying to figure out. And that's what science is trying to figure out with its search for a theory of everything. You see how it's all connected here? Science is trying to figure out the laws here. Spiritual traditions are trying to figure it out. Philosophy in its own way. I mean, there's so many different ways to say it, but I think we're all trying to figure out the same thing. How does this human game work? And not only just work, how can we align with the truth of how it works?
Now, very quickly before we get to the sanctuary, I know you might be asking, who the heck is this guy? Let me sum it up in like 30 seconds. I was going to university to be a doctor, but I got disillusioned with the system. And that's a different conversation as to why. So, I went on my own search for many years to figure out how this works. So, this is not a new question I've been asking. I've been asking this for many, many years, and I've actually been documenting my answers on short form. And yeah, we had a million followers, but that doesn't really matter. I was just getting tired of doing short form only because deep down, I've always had this feeling that I was going to do something that I felt could leave a legacy that helped people to understand how this all works in a longer and more coherent format. So, here's what this series is not. This isn't some big scholar guy show who's got a bunch of pieces of paper. Nah, not chief. I'm just a guy who has a deep passion for figuring out the truth, mapping it out, and that's what I've been trying to do for basically the last decade. And there ain't no big budget team or nothing. It's just me. I'm just out here. It's actually it's also my backpack and a lot of different what-ifs to ask all around the world.
And there's one more thing before we hit the sanctuary. Have you ever asked, what is our collective mission right now? Have you ever asked that? What are we being asked to do as humans, like all of us together? Well, I think it's summed up pretty well by this particular principle. Have you ever heard of the maturity principle? It's the idea that every civilization eventually reaches a point where its ability to create outpaces its ability to understand, where technology evolves faster than the level of consciousness behind it. That imbalance is a real danger. When a species gains the power of gods, but still thinks and acts like cavemen. Get it? Because Plato's Cave. Anyways, here's a definition of it. It's a stage in evolution where moral, cognitive, and spiritual development must catch up to the tools it's built. And that right now is where we're lagging behind. And I'm not trying to talk smack, but I'm just saying there ain't no shortage of information. But there is a shortage of people who are even trying to discern the difference between truth and falsehood. Plato's Cave.
Because here's the thing, the real battle people think is fought physically. Nah, it's here. It's always been inside the mind, the soul, between what liberates and deceives, between what sustains and creates life and what takes it. We'll talk about that in the Bhagavad Gita real soon, trust me. But this battle is the initiation for our species. If we all come in the game not knowing how it works, at some point, we're going to have to have all the ideas out in the open and decide which ones are true and which ones are false. And that's what the internet is providing for us right now. It's a double-edged sword. But to me, this is like the test before the next level. And just like in video games, there's usually a boss fight at the end of that particular level. But you know, we have the power. But some questions I have are, will we continue to blindly run belief codes of what others tell us is true only because they came before us? Or will we forge our own path and make decisions for ourselves? Will we actually start going beyond belief only and look beyond the dogma to see how we relate to one another? Or will we let the divide and conquer code work? Really up to us. And this is me trying to help us figure that out. Again, I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I'm just trying to give you the map. You decide once you see it.
And that first map I want to give you is a map of seven universal truths. Do you want to know what the seven universal truths are? And I'm talking beyond the dogma. Well, I went here to this place that was built to embody them, carved in wood. This is the Sanctuary of Truth. You know, this topic is something humans have been trying to decode for most of human history. And if you don't believe me, here's a list of the many different pursuits. And if I'm about to go map the truth hidden all over the world, I mean, is there a better place to start than this? I don't think so. But instead of reading the truths to you like a brochure, I'm going to translate them into human game language.
Truth number one, in human game terms, you see, no matter what you believe, we all have the same elemental source code rendered through infinite avatars consisting of the four elements: earth, water, air, and fire.
Truth number two, we all share the same foundational living operating system, no matter what you believe. Here's the symbolism in wood. Mother Earth here represents the origins of habitats and food. Then the sun gives us light and heat and the moon we share causes the tides in the earth's ocean. And all these sculptures represent the day we were born that indicates our unique personality.
And then number three, the truth is that this video game is temporary for us all. Change is the only constant in this game. None of us can escape. That this game will end for each one of us eventually. And the ceiling being empty here represents the fact that you came into this game with no physical loot and you'll leave with none. And that it doesn't really matter what loot you acquire in the game nearly as much as how you use your character. Why, you might ask? Because the only imprint that will remain after you stop playing the human game in the long run is the impact you'll make on others.
Truth number four is that there are samples of high-level players that can really affect the outcome of the human game and they have throughout history. Basically, there are different civilizational expansion packs that give rise to high-level players who offered their own interpretation of truth and virtue. And that pursuit was shaped by their time and landscape of course, but we can look to them to be inspired as to how we could help others to suffer less and to pursue leveling up in the game. A few examples we got here are Lao Tzu, Confucius, Guan Yin, and more.
The fifth truth is that you have a unique main quest in this life, and that we all do. Just like this plaque reads, certainly each one of us has a different life purpose. But remember that purpose isn't just one thing you do. It's a way of being to embody. And when you search for your purpose, you link to the deeper source code that guides your path. Remember, you are here to contribute something. You might be able to hear it if you let go of the distraction long enough to listen.
Truth number six, society has dual modes. The idea is that the game and specifically societies run on polarity. It's been called different things. Harmony and conflict, yin and yang. This is the base code of the game. And when cooperation between players breaks down, the universal intelligence generates crisis until awareness returns. This is a course correction code, not a punishment. And my question is to you, what if that's what's happening right now? To me, the most important part of this is to realize we are actually still in control by each one of our individual actions determining our societal outcome as a whole. And we have always had this amount of power. We just have yet to realize it fully. Don't forget the outcome of this iteration of the human game is truly in our hands.
The seventh truth is that families running truth codes is important for a high-level society and we must transmute whatever happened in our childhood in order to level up and continue the evolution into higher levels of a harmonious civilization because family is the first level of the game, the tutorial level for connection. That's seven truths, seven game mechanics, one source, the human game rendered into reality.
Overall, I'm really glad I came here. I think this is just perfect to begin everything. And to conclude this vlog, I want to state my commitment to you. My commitment is to explore in search of truth. To prioritize that over everything, to stay open to being wrong and relay to you what I find in the quest lines I'm given that'll make up this entire series in this human game.
All right, quest log 0000 is now complete. Quest log 001 commencing next. This is kind of crazy. Oh my god. Okay, I just walked this way, right?
>> Yes, sir.
>> Okay,
>> here we go. Thank you. Oh, we got a view now. Okay, this is crazy. Holy.
