Welcome to Chaz's Lifestyle. In today's video, I'm whipping up a quick and affordable three-day meal prep, including breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. Let's get cooking!
[Music]
First recipe up: fruit parfaits. Super easy, definitely a go-to for me. Everything in this video is all about portion control. I'm using small containers. I'm definitely working on how much I am eating and when I am eating them. So, I usually don't even eat breakfast. I usually fast, but to break that fast, I will go in after a workout or sometimes before a workout with a small and light breakfast like this. And these are one of my favorites. I love it. Super easy.
Now, using the mason jars, they definitely stay fresh longer. Um, shout out to Green Wise. I'm using a lot of the Green Wise products. So, as you can see, I'm just washing off my fruit very well. I use lemon and I use baking soda. Give that a very good rinse a few times. I'm going in with the Green Wise non-flavored yogurt. Now, I love this yogurt. It tastes so fresh and so rich and creamy. So, I'm going in with my yogurt into each of my jars.
Now, I'm only doing about four days of meal prep because I like to pretty much switch it up. I actually have fun creating meal preps. I have fun seeing what I want to make next, what snacks that I can make that are healthy, or you know, what alternatives I can use for certain things. So, I like to, you know, keep it short and used only about three or four days worth of meal preps. So, I'm going in with the Green Wise honey. I like the flow of this honey. It's perfect. Add the perfect amount of sweetness. This is all I needed. So, now I have those done. You can have this for a snack as well. Super quick and easy on the go fruit parfaits.
Next, we have our turkey bowls. Y'all, game changer. When I tell y'all this is one of my ultimate most favorite meal prep recipe ideas, I love it. You can add so many things. As you can see, I have spinach that I'm adding in there. Sometimes I use cauliflower rice, regular rice. This time I'm using brown rice. I have some bell peppers, I have my onions, my different seasonings and herbs, and dehydrated vegetables. This is going to be on point, okay? You can do so many things and you can change up those ingredients to make it what you like. One of my favorite vegetables is spinach. I'm a vegetable lover, okay? So, I would eat just straight vegetables. So, I decided to add some spinach into this recipe this time, just to get give me some more to the, you know, a little razzle dazzle to my recipe.
So, I'm just going to go ahead and cook my rice in a rice cooker. Super simple and easy, y'all. As you can see, it's gonna go by super fast. Now, a rice cooker definitely helps make sure the rice is on point. I'm using brown rice, so it definitely takes a little longer to cook. So, while we wait on the brown rice, let's go ahead and prep everything else. So, to make meal prepping easier, something that I do suggest to you all if you do have a busy schedule is to go ahead and get those pre-cut vegetables, okay? So, go ahead and get those. It makes it easier on all of us. So, we don't have to cut anything. We're not getting extra tired, put in extra work. It's just easy and it's still affordable. All the products that I purchased here are very affordable, especially from the Green Wise brand.
So, after I sauteed all my bell peppers and onions, I went in with my ground turkey and I'm just basically chopping it up, cooking it as I go. I'm gonna mix in those bell peppers and onions. You want to give that ground turkey a lot of flavor because it is ground turkey, it doesn't produce its own oil. So, you can use olive oil if you want to be a little healthier. Go ahead and sprinkle a little bit of that avocado oil or grape seed oil. It's really up to you and what your preference is. So, I am seasoning to taste, but I will have everything listed down below, all of my ingredients, but I'm seasoning to taste to my liking. As you've seen in the ingredients, I'm using things like Himalayan salt, which is more healthier. Something that I do recommend if you're on a weight loss journey or just trying to be healthier overall is to switch whatever salt you're using for either Himalayan salt or sea salt. It's actually a good alternative as well.
So, now to cook my spinach. You can just throw as much as you want in there. I added about three to four cups. So, once my rice is done, super easy and simple, I'm going to take a few spoonfuls, not all of that, and I'm going to add that to that ground turkey mixture and we're going to mix this up. This is basically what I call my healthy dirty rice, okay? So, I guess a clean rice, but no, seriously, this is definitely a good alternative. It will fill you up. It's affordable. You can go ahead and just grab it, put it in your lunchbox, head to work, have it on your full, you're good. You can have it after a workout. It's, it's very good, even for dinner, lunch or dinner. Now, I'm just prepping the turkey bowls. I added a few spoonfuls to that. Now, I actually got full off of about half. So, those are the turkey bowls, very vibrant and beautiful.
Next, we are going to be working on those sweet and spicy meatballs and kale. This is definitely a fame as well. These are the products, of course. We got the Green Wise turkey, you got your vegetables, you got the fresh kale, you have the pink Himalayan salt, you have your Caribbean seasonings, your rosemary herbs, your dehydrated vegetables, your black pepper. Oh, and shout out to Tattoo brand. I'm using their hot and spicy Polynesian hot sauce. Y'all, that sauce is on point. I love it. I will try to link it down below if I could find it so you are able to purchase it. Definitely changed up the game when it comes to making meal preps. Adding different sauces, dips, salsas is definitely recommended. It will elevate your dish. It will elevate your meal preps. You will fall in love with meal prepping. It will be, it's just so fun, you know?
So, now I'm making my turkey meatballs. I'm using ground turkey, of course, bell peppers and onions, same package as I use for the other meal prep. Super affordable, like I said, we're not wasting any ingredients and we have exactly as much as we need. I added the egg, more seasonings, fresh parsley, and I'm just going to go in right with my hands. If you have gloves, go ahead and use it. You can also use a spoon, but I'm not afraid. I'm going with the by hands. I'm gonna mix that up very, very, very, very, very, very well. Okay, y'all. So, I'm gonna go ahead and scoop that with the ice cream scoop just so I can make sure I have even amount of meatballs for every meal prep. I'ma also just shape it up in my hands using water. I might to damp my hands so it doesn't stick on there. And those are the meatballs, okay? Put them, pop them in the freezer for a little bit for about 10 minutes. Then I just personally went ahead and baked them. You can actually air fry your meatballs. You can saute your meatballs until they're fully cooked. I personally bake them until they were fully cooked to my personal preference on 400 for about 15 minutes. Then I went in with this Tattoo Polynesian sweet and spicy hot sauce. So good. It was so savory, it was sweet, full of flavor. It elevated my meatballs to the max, y'all.
Okay, I'm adding in those meatballs and we're going to create a glaze on these turkey meatballs. As you can see, they're basically fully cooked. I only bake them for about 20 minutes at 400 in the oven uncovered and I'm going to glaze them and let them cook a little longer just to ensure everything is fully cooked. Okay, so we're creating this glaze. At this point, my heat is on a medium heat, a medium-low heat. I had it on a medium-high heat and I let that sauce heat up for about two minutes before adding those meatballs. And these are the meatballs after about five to six minutes later. It has that perfect glaze. Now, I put that to the side. I'm going to work on my kale really quick. And this kale, I actually had two bunches of kale. So, I lost the other one. We don't know where it's at, but it's okay. We're still gonna work on the one that we do have. So, I went ahead and cleaned my kale very well. You want to make sure you release any dirt, anything from your kale. Go ahead and chop it up. We're sauteing it using a little bit of avocado oil. I'm adding in a dash of water. I like to create a little bit of juice for my kale to treat to keep it real juicy.

So, I'm just sauteing my kale for about five to six minutes on medium heat until it's slightly softened, but it still has a slight crunch to it. Of course, this is a keto-friendly meal prep. Once I was done cooking my kale, I went ahead and prepped my bowls. Now, here I just have my fresh kale and then I'll go in with my sweet and spicy glazed turkey meatballs. Now, this was the perfect amount for me, the perfect amount when I'm trying to work on portion control, you know?

With the detox juices, they actually change my appetite, so I'm not as hungry. So, these are the perfect amount. Now, I'm going in with a perfect snack. It's summertime, so we need to add those fresh and vibrant snacks. These are the ingredients. These are Vietnamese summer spring rolls or just spring rolls. I am going in with my vegetables. I have some red cabbage, I have some lettuce, carrots, and then I'm going in with a Thai peanut sauce. Now, I wanted to switch it up and do something different instead of just having the basics, oh, I'm just going to dip my ranch in some cucumbers or carrots. Let's actually have fun with this. Let's add some more flavors. Let's do something creative. This was my first time making this, but I had them at restaurants and this is one of my favorite things to get when I'm at a Thai restaurant or a Vietnamese restaurant. So, I was like, you know what, let's make them ourselves. It was very affordable. It was amazing. The wraps are rice wraps, but they said they are vegan rice wraps. So, I just actually layer my vegetables and I'm rolling it like an egg roll and it's very simple and easy. It only took me literally 10 minutes to make about eight. So, I actually ate about two of the spring rolls for a snack each day. So, that was the perfect amount. So, I made about eight of them, but you can make more. You can add different things. Sometimes people put seafood like shrimp in it and stuff like that, but I don't need any meat or seafood. And everything that I eat, I'm actually taking a break from eating too much meat and stuff like that. So, you know, keeping them vegan just like this is perfect. And then I have my Thai peanut sauce. Y'all, sauces, sauces, sauces are everything, okay? Listen to me. When it comes to meal prep, making it fun, add sauces, add dips, add salsas. It's gonna be worth it, trust me.
So, I'm just, I'm adding some sauce to my to-go cups. I actually purchased this from Walmart for about a dollar. Super inexpensive, very convenient, and we're good to go. Put them in a Ziploc bag and put them in your bag and head out. Okay, these are the spring rolls. I hope you all enjoy this video.
