Hey everybody, I I want to speak about this whole Epstein thing directly to Republicans, directly to conservatives, the ones that still believe that truth should matter. So listen, this is not about left versus right. This is not about policy differences. This is about something that's far more fundamental. This is actually about basic human decency. It's about protecting the vulnerable and it's about the willingness to confront, frankly, what you've been avoiding for far too long.
So for years, you know, Trump ran on this idea of exposing the Epstein files and he labeled every Democrat as being on the Epstein Files. He promised promised that he'd release the full list. He said he'd shine a bright light on the entire thing. And many believed him, but the minute that he was in office, that promise just evaporated. Suddenly, transparency didn't matter. Suddenly, releasing the list was just no longer important. And today he actually calls the entire thing a democratic hoax despite the fact that he was the one pushing it for exposure in the first place and the fact that we actually know because FBI and DOJ has said so that this actually exists. It's not a mistake. It's not a coincidence. That's panic. And by the way, Donald Trump today could release all these files. All of them. The only thing he can't release is the grand jury transcript. But that was there's nothing in there.
So I want you to look at what's actually happened. So recently emails were released from Epstein that clearly showed that Trump quote spent hours with a victim. Gelain Maxwell who's Epstein's associate, a convicted sex trafficker by the way, was sitting in jail and Trump sent one of his DOJ lawyers to speak to her privately. Not long after that, she was moved to a minimum security prison. Reportedly, we've learned what amounts to concierge level service. That doesn't happen by accident. People with no power don't cause that. People with influence and power cause that. And then there's the whole birthday book thing. Trump wrote a letter to Jeffrey Epstein for his birthday. Went into this big book complete with the outline of a young woman or girl and comments like, "Our little secret." That letter exists and it's real. You can see it. You can look it up. He denied it in the moment and now it's just silence because it came out and it's there. And like everything else, he denies it and it's real. And then he calls it a hoax.
Now he's actually calling Republican members of Congress on the phone personally begging them to remove their names from the discharge petition, the thing that would actually force us for a vote. I mean, he'll rarely pick up the phone to pass legislation that he claims to support, but he's making calls to block this. Ask yourself why. Ask yourself what a man who is innocent would be doing right now. He He wouldn't be trying to bury the files. He actually wouldn't he wouldn't be trying to silence his own party. He wouldn't be sending DOJ lawyers to visit these sex traffickers or backtracking on the very transparency that he demanded. He's panicking. Republicans know it. They feel it. They see it. Too many of them though are just terrified of speaking up.
So, let me put this plain. By the way, there are a few speaking up. Good on them. But the rest, nope. Silence. The GOP has a decision to make. Either you stand up finally once and for all against child trafficking, including when it involves the leader of your own party, or you admit that as long as he hates the same people you hate, you're willing to tolerate child trafficking. There's no middle ground anymore. I mean, it's clear silence is complicity. So, pick a side. Don't be silent. Pick a side. Deflection is complicity. Pretending that you don't see the truth. What are you talking about? That's right in front of you. That's complicity.
And members of the media, let me talk to you for a second. Stop letting Republicans dodge this. I know all the tricks. Okay? So, stop accepting vague answers like, "I don't know. I haven't seen the report." Of course, they've seen it. Or, "I'm focused on other issues." Maybe, but they know exactly what happened. Look at him straight in the eye, Mike Johnson, and ask them, "Do you believe Donald Trump should be held accountable if he appears in the Epstein files? Do you think they should be released? Why or why not? Why did Donald Trump reverse his position? Why did you reverse your position? Why did he send a DOJ lawyer to Maxwell? Why did he lie about his birthday letter? Why is he calling members of Congress personally to shut down a discharge petition if he has nothing to fear?" And don't let them change the subject because they're good at it. Like we're trained in how to change the subject and how to deflect. Stop letting them. I get it. You have other questions to ask. There is no more important question than this one. This is bigger than politics. It's bigger than party. It's bigger than loyalty to a man. This is about children who were exploited, trafficked, and abused. And the fact that powerful people helped enable it and cover it up. And they now expect you to help them escape accountability.
To every Republican watching, you don't have to abandon your principles to tell the truth. You don't have to stop being conservative, but you do have to be honest. You do have to have a conscience, and you do have to decide whether you serve the truth or serve a man who's desperate to hide it. I'm asking, I'm pleading with you. This is enough. This is the line. Like, there's been so many times when I thought we've hit a line. If child trafficking is not the line, there is no line. And you have to admit that. Stop pretending that you don't know what's going on. Stop letting fear make choices for you. Stop defending what you would never tolerate from anyone else. Our country needs you to be brave. Our children need you to be brave. You've been put in a position to represent 700,000 people. You don't have a right to be a coward. History is watching and it will record your name. Choose truth. Choose courage. Choose to say enough. It is time that we find out the truth.
