How to look at the past different

What if your past no longer had power over you? It is inevitable that we are going to go through certain circumstances in our life, and we are going to make certain decisions that we wish we could take back and wish we could change. But the truth is that we cannot change the past in any way, shape, or form. The only thing that we have is right here, right now, and the present moment in the future. And if you let your past have a hold over you, as something to weigh you down and hold you back from things that are truly meant for you, it absolutely will. And I want to let you know that it doesn't need to be that way. As I said, all we have is right here, right now, in the moment, in the present moment, in the future. And you get to choose how you want to let your past shape who you are today and who you are going to step into.

With that being said, hi, my name is Izzy, and welcome to my channel, Creality. If you are new here, the basis of my channel is just that I really believe that we all have the power to change and control our realities. Of course, there's going to be circumstances that we can't control, but what we can control is our thoughts, and our thoughts are the most powerful thing that God has given us control over. And through different ways of thinking and through the connection with the Divine, we really do have so much more power over our lives than that we think we do.

Through my experiences in life recently, I've really seen such a shift in my mind state, and I think it's only fair to relay what I have learned over to you guys. Because a lot of people are just searching for mental freedom; a lot of the materialistic things that we believe we want, a lot of the goals that we want to achieve, it's just because we want to achieve mental freedom. And I want to let you know that it does not matter what you have gone through in the past; you get to decide how you want to view the past, plain and simple. I know there, I know there's going to be terrible traumas that people have experienced, and I understand, and I've been through terrible traumas. And if I were to let my past control my future and control my every single day actions, I would not be sitting here today recording this video. So enough with the rambling, let's get into the video for today.

Your past is a teacher, not a life sentence. Every single thing that we have been through, whether it is a good or a bad thing, holds a lesson within itself. So if you are someone who has gone through a lot of trauma and a lot of painful experiences, instead of viewing yourself as someone who is the victim, view yourself as someone who is the Overcomer, because you overcame all of those challenges that you have experienced, and it has brought you to right here, right now, in this present moment. And be grateful, and make sure that you never forget to congratulate yourself for getting through everything that you have gone through, because even if it was something that was super painful and super heavy, you're here right now watching this video.

And if you are going through a chapter in your life that is super hard, know that it'll come to an end, and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Nothing is going to be set your way that you cannot handle. Our soul decided and knew what we were going to experience and what was going to be thrown our way before we even ended up on this Earth. Your soul knew that you were going to face challenges, and it is up to you if you are going to get through those challenges and let the challenges be the catalyst that push you into your future and into your purpose. Our pain equals our purpose. When you go through something super hard, traumatic, it is creating and molding you into the person who is going to be able to fulfill your purpose.

I believe as humans we are meant to help other people. So if you know that you have gone through a lot of traumas, you may be able to help a lot of people who are going through the same thing that you've experienced. Shift from the perspective, "Why did this happen to me?" to "How is this happening for me?" Don't view things with the polarity of good or bad; just view it as is. Even if you want to view a situation as something that is super bad, view it in the light, you know, "What this may not be my most favorite experience that I've ever gone through, but ultimately it's being brought my way for a reason, so I'm the one who gets to choose how I want to see the circumstances."

I've gotten myself to a point in my life where literally anything that happens, like even if it's something super crappy, I'm like, "Well, you know, that happened." Like some super dumb example: my bangs are finally growing out now, but when I first got them done, I asked him, I was like, "Hey, I want curtain bangs." I showed him a picture. I usually get my bangs cut there. He literally cut my hair, guys, I'm not kidding you, to here. Like, my bangs were so short, and I remember I was like, "Well, that just happened. I literally have bangs down to here." So I can either choose to rock with it or I can be super sad and be like, "Oh my gosh, I'm so ugly right now, like I need to hide myself," or just fully embrace the fact that I have full-on bangs now. And now here we are, two months later, my bangs are grown out, and I'm all happy, and I'm like, "Oh, you know, well, that happened, but we're all good now."

Obviously, I know that's a dumb example, in something super small, and you can be like, "Oh, well, Izzy, I'm actually going through real-life traumas here, and you want me to just take it as is and be like, 'Oh, it's going to build me.'" And it's like, "Yeah, because ultimately it is going to build you, plain and simple." If you want to let it build you, if you want to have that experience hold you back and hold you down from things that are actually meant for you, it will. Because when we have things that are coming up in our future and opportunities, if we're constantly living in this little pain bubble of our past and things that we have experienced, it can keep us in this little narrow perception, and the opportunity might be right outside that narrowed perception. And it's, it's so important to make sure that you are controlling your perception in a way that is actually going to help you and build you.

And I think one of the biggest parts of creating your own reality is your perception that you have on life, because every single thing that you experience is ultimately viewed by your perception. The way that you want to view yourself in the world, you get the, you have the, you have the power-making capabilities to choose how you want to view any single circumstance that happens to you. Our identities are not fixed; we are constantly evolving; we are constantly growing. Well, if you want to let yourself grow, you could be held back in the same exact spot. But the point is that we are always meant to evolve, and we are always meant to step into something better. So who you are then is absolutely not who you need to be now and who you need to be in the future. You get to make the conscious decision of who you want to be in the future; you get to create the self-image of you that you want.

This is probably the third video now that I've talked about the importance of self-image and the way that we view ourselves, because we will always act in accordance with our identity and how we view ourselves. So if you let the past shape and mold you into the identity of someone who is not deserving of things that are amazing, you will never be fully deserving of things because you carry this identity of someone who is not deserving of great things. But I want to let you know right now that you are so deserving of everything that you want in your life, and you are so deserving of amazing opportunities and amazing things to flow in. I know you may have gone through bad experiences in your past, but you are so deserving of a loving partner, of a loving family, to love yourself, like know your worth. And if your past has made you feel that you are not worthy, I want to be the little person to be like, "Hey, you are very worthy; you are made in God's image; your spiritual DNA is absolutely perfect." So your past experiences do not have to define you; your past mistakes do not have to define you.

You were going to make mistakes in your life; it's inevitable. We are humans. There are things that I have done in my life where I'm like, "You know what, I wish I didn't do that." But a few months go by, or a year goes by, years go by, and I'm like, "You know what, I made that stupid little mistake, but here I am right now, and it literally did not even matter." Because I know the weight of a mistake; it can be very heavy. I have made some very big mistakes in my life, and I would go back and I would change absolutely nothing. And you will get to a point in your life where it's like, "You know, I would change absolutely nothing, because this has molded me into the person that I was always meant to step into." If I never experienced that, I would have never been able to do X, Y, or Z. If I never experienced the things that I did in my past year, I never would have been able to wake up to my purpose and realize that I am here on this Earth to help a lot of people. I know I am. When you guys tell me that my videos help you guys, it literally is my most favorite thing ever, because that's the whole point of my videos; that's why I make these videos, is to help you guys. I, you know, it's great that I have subscribers, like I'm officially at 5,000 subscribers, and like I'm seeing my numbers go up, and that's great and all, but what really matters to me is that my messages are touching your heart and they are actually helping you. Because there are certain things that I say that I wish I had someone to directly say to me, because I know that is what I needed to hear in that moment. So I, I hope I can be that person to deliver that message and those messages to you guys.

Release the need for justification. There are going to be things in your life that are never going to make sense, and you're never going to understand why that happened to you, but know that it did happen to you for a reason. I know that's easier said than done sometimes, especially if you're someone who's been through a lot of trauma and a lot of pain, but it doesn't need to make sense. Just know that it happened, and you can't change it, and all you get to decide is the present moment and the future of what's to come and how you're going to take that past experience and make sure that it is building you up instead of bringing you down. I know that we want to validate our pain. When I was going through the most hard point in my life, I wanted everyone to know that I was suffering and that I was going through a hard time. But you do not need to stay stuck in that pain; you can validate your own pain; you do not need to make it a part of your every single day story and run through your life with that story of, "Oh yeah, this is why I can't do that because I've experienced that. Oh yeah, I'm just a depressed and anxious person because I've gone through that."

If you identify as a depressed and anxious person, you will always be a depressed and anxious person. And think, the only solution is to get on a bunch of medications, and you know, I, I want to preface and say that I'm not a doctor. If you are on medications, I'm not telling you to get off them, but I want to let you know that that is not your only solution. You have more control over your mind than you can ever possibly imagine. God created us with such high faculties, to the point where we don't even understand how to fully tap into everything. But when you sit in the presence of God and you sit in meditation, so many things, so many different things will be revealed to you, of like, you know, "I think that I don't have power to control this," but you do have, absolutely have the power to control that. Because I know what it's like to be super down and super sad, and you will never feel better until you learn to live out of that mind state, to live in the present moment and to live in the future and to know that better things are coming and better things are on your way. It may have sucked what you have gone through, but ultimately that is bridging you into who you are meant to be.

If I never lost my best friend, I never would have been able to sit in front of here and record these videos. I would have probably still been goofing off and partying and drinking all the time and doing drugs. But something like that literally snapped me and made me wake up. And obviously, I never would want that to happen to myself, and I never would want that to happen to anyone else. But if that never happened, I wouldn't be who I am today, and I love myself, and I'm so grateful for who I am. You get to decide who you want to be and who you want to step into. Ultimately, we all have a higher version of ourselves existing, and it's up to you if you want to step into that higher version. It's up to you, the stories that you want to tell yourself every single day; the way you recall your past influences how you live your every single day life. If you want to live in the stories that have happened to you every single day, you can absolutely do that, but you will not be very happy with your current circumstances, plain and simple. You get to decide the story that you want to tell of your life. I could think about all the negative experiences and all the bad things that I've gone through, and I could be like, "You know, that's why I can't do X, Y, and Z," but I do not let it have that power over me. I realize that I am the one who controls the narrative of my life. You have so much more control over your life than you could ever possibly imagine, and never ever forget that.

The past is a reference point, not a residence. You can glance back into the past to gain the wisdom and the knowledge that you need to learn from those past experiences, but ultimately you have to keep your eyes on the road, and you have to keep going straight forward. Let's say I'm driving my car, and I have my whole, my whole front window just blacked out with tape, and I'm just driving with my little rearview mirror. You know how fast I'd crash? I'd literally crash immediately. But the thing is that we do have rearview mirrors for a reason; sometimes we look at them to help us. And the same thing can be said about your past; you can look back in your past experiences to help you not make those same decisions, to not go hang out with the same group of people, to not make the same mistakes that your parents made or you made. Like, it can help us, but you just can't live in it. Like, there's a very clear distinction; the past can help you because the past has molded you into who you are today; it's given you lessons that you need to learn to step into your future self and to make every single day actions. Like, growing up, we learned how to talk; our past is helping us in that way. If we never learned how to talk, um, that would really suck. Like, a lot of the things from the past have taught us to behave, and that is now going into how our past experiences have created limiting beliefs on our life. Because ultimately, if you grew up hearing that your parents saying that you're not enough, or you grew up seeing your parents struggle, you're probably going to carry a lot of limiting beliefs over your life and think that you are not deserving and you're not capable of living a life like that. But I want to let you know that no matter what your past is, you are so deserving of a life that is so amazing, and never ever forget that.

I know it's easier said than done for me to just say, "Oh well, you're deserving," and then you just believe it. You can take the other steps to make that a reality, because we get to control our thoughts; that's the only thing that we have absolute control over. So if you want to let your thoughts be negative, go ahead, by all means, you know, it's your life. But if you want to live a life that you absolutely love, control your thinking; change your thinking every single day. If you're constantly like, "Oh, I'm just such an anxious person; like I'm a loser; I'm not good enough to do anything," you will always confirm that belief to be true. But if you change your thoughts and you catch your thoughts whenever they're negative to switch to something positive, you will see your life get better in so many aspects, and that's the truth for my life. Because once I was able to rewire my brain, hold on, once I was able to rewire my brain in certain aspects, I noticed my life got exponentially better. Because what you focus on all day you will attract. So when I started focusing on things that I actually wanted in my life, I noticed that things that I actually wanted to show up, show up. And the same thing can be said if you're focusing on negative things; those things will continue to repeat and will continue to show up. The power of your focus is like no other; the power of your intentions and the power of your thoughts is like no other. So make sure that you are watching what you are letting yourself think about all day; make sure that you are watching how you view yourself; think about your past; what do you focus on every single day? Because what you focus on will show up in your reality. Your current circumstances are a great, are a direct reflection of your inner world.

Forgiveness is not excusing someone's actions; it's choosing your own freedom. We cannot control other people's actions, and you're not always going to get an apology for something that someone has done to you. Because sometimes people just straight up do crappy things to us, and sometimes we do crappy things to other people. Think about someone you may have hurt in the past, and you never gave an apology to; you never know. And the same thing can be said about someone else who's done something super bad to you; they may not even know that you deserve an apology or that they should apologize to you. But give yourself permission to forgive them. I know what's easier said than done, but there's been people in my life where you think it would be super hard to forgive them, and I've gotten myself to a point where it's like, "You know what, I may not like you as a person, but I know that you're not perfect; I know you're going to make mistakes, and I'm giving myself the personal freedom to choose forgiveness." Because the only person that you are hurting by holding on to things is yourself. You're not always going to get an apology, so make sure you give yourself permission to grant yourself that freedom. You're constantly thinking about how much you hate someone or what they did to you, and you're constantly focusing on that; you're letting yourself get riled up. You know, when you think about something that's super upsetting and you get that burning feeling in your chest, you do not want to have that; you get to choose if you have that, because you cannot change what they did to you. You get to choose if you want to forgive them and let it go. And you know, I'm not saying for you to forget it either; I'm not saying for you to be friends with this person or trust this person again or let them back into your life, but be like, "You know what, you did this; you're human; you're not perfect, and I'm giving myself the power that I have over my life to forgive you and to no longer hold on to it." Because if you want to hold on to things

That other people have done to you forever, it will always hold you back, and it will always hold you down. Also, you guys, sorry for this little interruption, but me and my boyfriend do have a clothing brand, Alom Projects, which is right here. And we actually just launched our new product, which is thank you, God, for keeping me safe while I get this money, honey. It's right here. Um, we have three different color variations, and we have more products on the way. We haven't officially released everything to be purchased yet, but you could and follow on Instagram just so we can gauge which products you guys actually want to see and like. And you know, the whole basis of this brand is to just spread love and light and illuminate society one garment at a time, because that's what the world needs more of. That's why I even make these videos, and what a perfect way to tie everything together with some clothing products. So, with that being said, it'd be amazing if you guys could support Alom Projects on Instagram.

Let's get back to the video. Your past proves your resilience. If you were still here today, you have been able to go through so much, and never forget to congratulate yourself for that. I know it's easy when we are constantly striving to be better to forget to congratulate ourselves for everything that we have actually been able to overcome and get through. Remind yourself of all the strength and the power that you have and how you were able to get out of different experiences before, and you will be able to get out of this once again. You are so powerful, and you are so strong. If you are still here today, existing on this Earth and you've persevered through every single challenge, good job, and I'm proud of you. If no one's ever said that to you, just know that I am, even if I'm a complete stranger, because it takes a lot to get through a world like this.

There's a lot of bad things going on, and I don't want to skip over the fact that that's the truth. You know, there's a lot of heavy emotions, and there's a lot of people going through a lot of suffering and trauma. And if you were able to get through a hard chapter of your life, know that that's so amazing. If you took the time to work on yourself and really build yourself back up again to the person that you were always meant to be, congratulate yourself and know that it takes a lot of hard work, and that if you were able to do that, you can ultimately do anything. Even the wrong turns that you think you may have made have brought you to who you are and where you are right now in your life.

And if you're in a chapter of your life that's super hard, or you're not really liking your current circumstances and your reality, I suggest you to first of all check out my other videos, cuz I do talk about other different topics. But also remind yourself that this is just a little sliver of time. I'm going to like, right here is a whole lifespan, right? And let's say you are around 20 years old, look how much more you have left. You really think that things aren't going to get better in that time period? Know that there is so much coming towards you that you can, more than you can ever imagine. And if you let your mindset be in the way of, more is coming to me, and better is coming to me than I ever could possibly imagine, that will be the truth; that will be reflected into your life. Because, as I said before, what you focus on, what you think about all day, will be absolutely reflected in your every single day reality.

The only moment that you have control over is right now, here in the present moment. There's nothing more powerful than the present moment, because you get to make the decision of what you want your life to look like, and you get to make the decision that you are no longer going to be bound by your past. You are no longer going to let your past mistakes haunt you, your traumas haunt you. You are making the conscious decision that you want to make a change, and you're not going to let it have that much power over you anymore. The future is created by who you choose you want to be today, and from this moment forward, the future is not created by who you used to be and the decisions that you have made in the past. You get to choose to make the difference. So I encourage you to make the difference.

In this video, I'm going to attach some different resources that have helped me a lot. I really do love journaling, and I think journaling is such a great way to really just connect back with yourself. And, you know, for me, journaling is also kind of a form of meditation, because it's just me sitting alone with my thoughts. I'm literally in the quiet, just writing any single thing that pops up, and like, sometimes I do feel like I kind of get guidance, and you know, I feel like the divine's kind of speaking to me in a way. So I encourage you to try journaling, especially if you're going through a hard time in your life, cuz when I was in the most difficult chapters of my life, I found that journaling was really just my escape, and it made me feel a lot better. So I'm going to include those. And I also want to announce that you can officially sign up to be on the Creality Club waitlist. I'm still putting everything together because I really want this community to be amazing for you guys, because something that I've struggled with is finding friends and finding a community where I can find people who think similar to me and who really just want to help build me up. So I was like, you know what, why don't I just create Creality Club? Why don't I just create a space where people can come together, talk about different ideas, where they can learn from me? I'll attach—I'm attaching a bunch of different resources to just really help you create your own reality, because as I said in the beginning of the video, you have so much more power over your life, and my mission and my purpose is just to help remind you of that.

So, with that being said, you can sign up to join the waitlist for Creality Club. I'm super excited, and I can't wait to see you guys over there. I thank you guys so much for watching my video. I really hope that it helped, and you know, if you're going through something hard, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. You never have to be defined by your past, and your past is molding and shaping you into who you were always meant to step into. Never forget that you create your own reality. I thank you guys for 5,000 subscribers. This is just a start, and you guys are all real ones who have been subscribed to me since day one. So, Mah, thank you guys for watching, and I will see you next Friday.
