Not all dogs are the same. Today we present to you the canine world champions in their own categories.
Number one, the fastest. The Greyhound. The Greyhound is the supreme athlete. It can reach speeds of up to 72 km/h in a matter of seconds, surpassing many motorized vehicles in the city.
Number two, the most intelligent. The Border Collie is considered the genius of the canine world. It can learn a new command in less than five repetitions and obeys 95% of the time on the first try.
Number three, the kindest giant. The Great Dane holds the title of the tallest dog, but it is famous for its docile and patient temperament, often unaware of its imposing size.
Number four, the best swimmer. The Newfoundland was bred for water rescue. It has webbed paws and a water-resistant coat that allow it to swim in icy waters for long periods.
Number five, the most powerful guardian. The Caucasian Shepherd is a legendary guardian. It was bred to defend livestock from wolves and bears. Its protective instinct is as strong as its enormous physique.
Number six, the oldest. The Saluki is one of the oldest breeds in existence. It was the royal hunting dog in ancient Egypt, and its lineage can be traced back for thousands of years.
Number seven, the smallest. The Chihuahua is the undisputed champion in miniature size. It is so small that its brain, in proportion to its body, is larger than that of any other breed.
Number eight, the least noisy. The Basenji is known as the barkless dog. Instead of barking, it communicates through a unique and curious sound that resembles a song or a yodel.
