All right, open your Bible to Mark chapter 11, verses 23 and 24. If you don't know these verses, you're about to get acquainted with two of the most powerful sentences ever spoken by the Son of God. Jesus said, and listen close now, because this is Jesus talking, not Paul, not Peter, not a prophet, but Jesus, the Head of the Church, the author and finisher of our faith. He said, "For verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore, I say unto you, what things soever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them." Mark 11:23-24.
Now, I want you to notice what he said. Notice he said, "Verily I say unto you." That word verily means truthfully, absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt. In today's language, we'd say, "I tell you the truth, you can take this to the bank." Well, if Jesus said it, that settles it whether you believe it or not. But if you want to enjoy the benefits of it, then you got to believe it, act on it, speak it, and stand your ground. Amen?
Now, he didn't say if it be God's will this mountain might move. Number, he said, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain." That means you, that means me. That means the born-again, blood-washed child of God who knows who he is in Christ. He said, "Whosoever." Say it out loud. I'm a whosoever. Say it again. This verse is talking about me. You see, Jesus didn't put this kind of mountain-moving power in the hands of preachers only. He didn't say if the bishop says it or if the prophet speaks it, no. He said, "Whosoever shall say."
Now, I want you to notice something. He didn't say whosoever shall think about the mountain. He didn't say whosoever shall cry over the mountain. He didn't say whosoever shall pray to God about the mountain. No, sir. He said, "Whosoever shall say unto the mountain." So many believers are talking to God about their problems, but they're not talking to the problem about God. But Jesus said, "Talk to the mountain." What is your mountain? Is it sickness? Is it debt? Is it fear? Is it confusion? Is it addiction? Whatever it is, speak to it. Command it to move in the name of Jesus.
Now look again at what he said. "Shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass." You can't speak one thing and believe another and expect it to work. Some folks say, "Well, Brother Hagin, I know the Bible says that, but I I just can't help what I say." Oh, yes, you can. You can help what you say. God wouldn't tell you to speak the word if you couldn't do it. Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." That means your tongue is steering your life. James said, "Your tongue is like the rudder on a ship." Whichever way you turn it, your life will go. So if you don't like what you've been having, check what you've been saying. Say this out loud. I have what I say. I believe what I say. And I say what God says.
Now notice again, he said, "He shall have whatsoever he saith." How many times did Jesus mention saying in this one verse? Three times. He mentioned believing once, but he mentioned saying three times. Why is that? Because most believers don't have a problem with believing, they have a problem with saying. You can believe in healing and still talk sickness. You can believe in provision and still talk lack. You can believe in peace and still talk fear. But Jesus said, "He shall have whatsoever he saith." What you say is what you'll have.
Now look at verse 24. He said, uh, "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Do you see the order there? Believe you receive them when you pray, and then you shall have them. In other words, the believing comes first, the having comes second. Faith receives before it sees. Faith says it's mine now. Not later, not someday, not maybe, now. Say this out loud. I believe I receive when I pray. I have it now. It's mine now. That's the kind of faith that moves mountains. That's the kind of faith that gets results. That's the kind of faith that changes everything.
Now, I'm going to teach you how to take this one verse, Mark 11:23, and speak it every day for 30 days. Just one verse. But one word from God, believed and spoken, will do more than a thousand religious routines. And if you stay with me in this message, I'll show you the rhythm, the resistance, the results, and the renewal that come when you speak the word only. Glory to God. That's good news, isn't it?
Now, someone might say, "Brother Hagin, is one verse really enough?" I mean, just one. Aren't there dozens of scriptures we need? Well, listen, friend, you don't need a thousand verses to move one mountain. You just need one word from God that you believe and act on. Let me ask you this. When the Centurion came to Jesus in Matthew 8, did he ask for a sermon? Did he ask for a scroll? Did he say, "Jesus, give me the whole Torah?" No. He said, "Speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed." Matthew 8:8. And what did Jesus say about that? He marveled. That's right. Jesus marveled. And he said, "I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." You want great faith? Then do what the Centurion did. Believe that just one word from Jesus is enough to change your life. Say this out loud. Speak the word only. Say it again. Just one word is enough.
That man didn't need a vision. He didn't need a choir. He didn't need hands laid on. He didn't need to fall under the power. He didn't need goosebumps in a glory cloud. He said, "Speak the word only." That's great faith. Why? Because the word carries the same power whether it's in Jesus' mouth or in your mouth. Now, let me ask you, was that one word enough for the Centurion's servant? Yes, it was. Jesus never even went to the house. He just said, "Go thy way as thou has believed, so be it done unto thee." And the Bible says the servant was healed in the selfsame hour. Matthew 8:13. One word? Just one.
Let me tell you the problem isn't that we don't have enough word. The problem is we're not working the word we already have. We're not giving it time to get rooted. We're digging it up with our doubt and killing it with our contradiction. But one verse believed, one verse spoken, one verse obeyed is all it takes for God to move. Psalm 107:20 says, "He sent his word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction." Not he sent an angel. Not he sent a prophet. Not he sent a program. He sent his word. And his word did the job. Friend, if the word is all God needs to send, then the word is all you need to receive. Amen?
Now, here's why we're focusing on one verse for 30 days because focus brings faith. You don't get strong muscles from lifting 500 different things once. You get strong muscles by lifting one thing again and again and again. The seed doesn't grow because you plant it all over the field. It grows because you plant it in one spot and you leave it there. You water it. You guard it. You expect a harvest. Same with the word. So many Christians are running from verse to verse, from preacher to preacher, from meeting to meeting, and they're wondering why they're not seeing change. They haven't planted anything long enough to take root. Say this out loud. I'm focused. I'm planted. I'm rooted in the word. One verse, friend. Just one. 30 days, speak it, meditate on it, declare it, don't let it depart from your eyes, keep it in the midst of your heart. For it is life to those that find it and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22. It's enough. It's more than enough. It's God's enough. Glory to God.
Now, you ready to learn how to pick that one verse? How to make it personal? How to choose your sword? Then stay with me cuz we're going into the next part, choosing your verse, your mountain-speaking weapon. Now, listen carefully because this part is vital. If you're going to speak one verse for 30 days, then you need to make sure you've got the right verse, amen? This is not a ritual. This is not religious exercise. This is the sword of the Spirit you're going to war. So, you don't grab just any old verse. You need a rhema word, a word that hits your heart like fire, grabs your soul, and won't let go. The Bible says in Ephesians 6:17, "Take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Now, that word "word" in the Greek is rhema, not just written text, but a spoken, alive, now word, custom-fit for your battle, handcrafted for your breakthrough. God's word in your mouth is your weapon, and a weapon works best when you know how to use it.
So, how do you choose your verse? First, you ask yourself this question, "What mountain am I facing?" Let's be real. You don't need a verse about angels if your body is under attack with pain. You don't need a verse about spiritual gifts if you're drowning in debt. You need a sword that's sharp for this battle. Let's break it down. Fighting sickness? Take Isaiah 53:2-5, "With his stripes, I am healed." Or Matthew 8:17, "Himself took my infirmities and bare my sicknesses." Fighting lack and fear of money? Take Philippians 4:19, "But my God supply all your need according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus." Fighting anxiety and panic? Take 2 Timothy 1:2-7. For God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Fighting confusion or needing direction? Take Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart. He shall direct thy paths. Fighting for your children or household? Take Isaiah 54:11-13. All thy children shall be taught of the Lord, and great shall be the peace of thy children.
Now hear me, don't just pick a verse, let the Holy Ghost point it out to you. Ask him. Say, "Holy Spirit, show me the word I need to put in my mouth." And when that verse lights up, when it jumps off the page, that's your sword. Say this out loud. Holy Ghost, lead me to my verse. I'll take it. I'll speak it. I'll own it.
Once you have your verse, write it down. Write it big. Write it bold. Put it on your mirror, your dashboard, your refrigerator, your phone screen, your Bible, everywhere your eyes can see it. Why? Because Proverbs 4 said, "Let them not depart from thine eyes." Every time you see it, it waters the seed. Every time you say it, it drives it deeper. Every time you think it, it pushes the weeds of doubt out of the garden of your heart. And don't you dare let the devil talk you out of your verse. He'll say, "Well, that's not for you." He'll say that was just for Israel. Liar. He'll say that doesn't work today. Liar. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 1:20, "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him amen, unto the glory of God by us." If it's in the book, it's yours. If God said it, you can speak it. If Jesus paid for it, you can have it. You don't need another prophecy. You don't need another preacher. You need to get that verse in your heart and in your mouth, and don't back off. Say it again. This is my verse. This is my sword. This mountain is coming down. Amen. Glory to God.
Now, you ready for the next step? I've shown you the foundation. Mark 11:23-24. I've shown you why one verse is enough. I've shown you how to choose your verse. But, what do you do with that verse every day for 30 days? Stay with me because in the next part, I'm going to walk you through the daily rhythm that builds unshakeable faith.
Now, listen to me. Child of God, faith is not a moment. Faith is a lifestyle. You don't take a single pill and expect perfect health. You don't eat one meal and expect to be strong for a month. And you don't speak the word once and expect the mountain to move. You've got to do it daily. You've got to be consistent. You've got to stay with it. Proverbs 4:21 said, "Keep them in the midst of thine heart." That means all day long. The word has to get into your consciousness so deep that when the devil poke you at 2:00 a.m., faith comes out automatically.
So, here's the rhythm. Here's the protocol. Here's how you speak your verse for 30 days and I'm telling you if you do it, your mountain won't survive.
One, in the morning, speak the word aloud. When your feet hit the floor, before you grab the phone, before you check the news, before you touch the coffee, you speak that verse. Speak it out loud. Say it slowly. Say it strong. Why? Because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17. And the first person who needs to hear it is you. Say this out loud. I start my day with God's word in my mouth. You're not begging. You're not wishing. You're declaring what God already said. If your verse is Isaiah 53:2-5, you say, "With his stripes, I am healed. I am not trying to get healed. I am healed. I am not the sick trying to get well. I'm the healed standing on the word." You say it three times. Not a magic number, just enough to get it moving in your spirit.
Two, midday to meditate mutters. Mentally chew. Now, sometime in the middle of the day, maybe on your lunch break or while you're driving, bring that verse back up. Don't just quote it, meditate on it. Joshua 1:8 says, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night." The word meditate in Hebrew means to mutter, to mumble under your breath, to rehearse. Like a cow chewing the cud, you bring it up again and again. Think about each word. Let it paint a picture on the canvas of your mind. See the pain leaving your body. See the debt paid. See your child saved. See the victory, not the problem. Say this out loud. I see what God sees. I say what God says. I believe what God promised.
Three, evening declare with Thanksgiving. Before you go to bed, speak the verse again, this time with Thanksgiving. Why? Because Philippians 4:6 says, "In everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God." Thanksgiving is the voice of faith. Faith doesn't keep asking. Faith starts thanking. If you believe you received it when you prayed, then you don't ask again. You just say, "Father, thank you. It's done. It's working." The word is working mightily in me. Declare, "I'm not moved by what I see. I'm not moved by what I feel. I'm moved by what I believe, and I believe the word."
Four, before sleep, whisper the word into the night. Just before you close your eyes, let that verse be the last thing you say, not the news, not fear, not worry. You whisper it quietly. Let it tuck you in like a blanket of faith. Say it like this, "With his stripes I am healed. His word is working in me. My faith is active. The mountain is moving. Good night. Lord, I trust you." Psalm 4:8 says, "I will both lay me down in peace and sleep for thou Lord only makest me dwell in safety." Amen.
Do this for 30 days straight. Don't skip. Don't quit. Don't say, "Well, it's not working yet." Friend, the word starts working the moment it is spoken in faith. But like a seed, it needs time. It grows underground before it breaks through the soil. Mark 4:28 says, "First the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear." That's how the kingdom works. Don't stop at the blade. Keep going until the full harvest. Say this with me, "Day by day, line by line, my harvest is coming. I'm holding fast to my confession."
Now that you've got the rhythm, the daily faith protocol, what do you do when resistance comes? Because it will come. In the next section, we're going to deal with how to resist doubt and stay the course.
Now listen to me carefully. If you're going to speak one verse for 30 days, you're going to have to guard against the thief. What thief? The same one Jesus warned about in John 10:10. "The thief cometh not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy." Satan is a thief. And he's after your word seed. Mark 4:15 says, "Satan cometh immediately to take away the word that was sown in their hearts." That means the moment you speak the word, the devil comes. Not to congratulate you. Not to applaud your faith. He comes to steal. So don't be shocked when the opposition rises. Don't say, "Why is this happening now?" It's happening because you just got dangerous. Say it out loud, "The devil's afraid of the word in my mouth."
One, recognize the source of doubt. Doubt doesn't come from God. Doubt doesn't come from your spirit. Doubt comes from your unrenewed mind and your enemy. The word says in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God." Every thought that says, "This won't work. Nothing's changing. You're wasting your time." That's a lying imagination. Cast it down. How? By speaking the truth out loud every time. You don't fight thoughts with thoughts. You fight thoughts with words. Just like Jesus did in the wilderness. "It is written." Say, "Devil, it is written, by his stripes I am healed." "Devil, it is written, my God shall supply all my need." "Devil, it is written, what things soever I desire, when I pray, I believe I receive."
Two, don't measure by sight. Now, listen, you can't measure spiritual progress with natural tools. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." Just because you don't see change doesn't mean the word isn't working. When you plant a seed, you don't dig it up every day. You water it. You protect it. You expect it. The moment you speak God's word in faith, it goes to work in the unseen realm. That's where the battle is won. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." If you can already see it, you don't need faith. But if you can't see it yet, hallelujah, that's where faith shines. Say, "Just because I don't see it doesn't mean it's not done. The word is working whether I feel it or not."
Three, speak in the face of pressure. Friend, the mountain doesn't move because you're quiet. The mountain moves when you speak. That's why Jesus said, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain." Mark 11:23. When the pain increases, speak the word. When the pressure builds, speak the word. When the doubt screams, speak the word. When your mind says it's not working, speak louder. The word was made to be spoken. And when spoken in faith, it cannot return void. Isaiah 55:11 says, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth, it shall not return unto me void." Whose mouth? God's mouth? No, your mouth. Say, "God's word in my mouth is just as powerful as in his mouth."
Four, surround yourself with faith. You can't speak faith all day and then fellowship with fear all night. You can't plant life and water it with death. That's why Jesus put out the mourners before raising Jairus' daughter. Mark 5:40. He couldn't raise her in the atmosphere of unbelief. You got to guard your ears, guard your circle, guard your conversations. Stay around faith people. Listen to faith teaching. Play faith music. Read faith books. Be in faith meetings. Say, "I refuse to feed doubt. I starve my fear. I feed my faith every day."
Five, keep showing up, keep speaking, keep standing. You don't have to feel strong to be strong. Just keep showing up. Ephesians 6:13 says, "Having done all to stand. Stand therefore." Stand when it's easy. Stand when it's hard. Stand when your feelings rebel. Stand when nothing seems to change. Because the devil doesn't fear a Christian who shouts, he fears a Christian who won't back down. James 4:7 says, "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." Say, "Devil, I'm I'm here. I'm still speaking and you're still defeated." You do this for 30 days and I'll tell you right now you're not going to recognize your own life. The mountain will move. The word will grow. The harvest will come. Hallelujah.
Now, you've been speaking the word, you've been holding your confession, you've resisted doubt. You've planted the seed, you've watered it with Thanksgiving, you've guarded it from weeds of unbelief. Now, child of God, get ready for the harvest. Mark 4:26-28 says, "So is the kingdom of God as if a man should cast seed into the ground and the seed just spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. First the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear." Notice what he said, "The seed grows." You may not know how, you may not know when, but you can know this. It will. Say it out loud. The word is growing in me now.
One, you begin to speak differently. You'll wake up one morning and you'll notice something. You don't talk the way you used to talk. You don't say, "I hope God does something." You say, "I believe I receive." You don't say, "I feel like I'm getting worse." You say, "By his stripes I am healed." Your language changes because your heart is full of the word. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Matthew 12:34. And let me tell you, when your mouth gets full of the word, the devil gets nervous. Zeal. Peace replaces panic. Suddenly the storm doesn't shake you. The symptoms don't scare you. The unpaid bill doesn't break you. Why? Because you got a word on it. And when you got a word from God, you got something stronger than a report, stronger than a symptom, stronger than a storm. Isaiah 26:3 says, "Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusteth in thee." Peace is not a product of circumstance. Peace is the proof that faith is at work. Say, "I've got peace. I've got faith. I've got the word and it's enough."
Two, you stop asking and start thanking. Oh, this is powerful. You don't pray like a beggar anymore. You don't pray like a victim, you pray like a son, like a daughter. You pray like someone who knows what belongs to them. You wake up saying, "Thank you, Father. I have it now. I'm not waiting for healing, I have it now. I'm not waiting for breakthrough, I have it now. It's mine now. I believe I receive." You begin to pray like Jesus prayed, short, bold, full of faith. Say, "I don't beg God, I agree with God. I don't plead, I declare."
Three, your body and circumstances begin to obey. Oh, yes, get ready. The mountain that mocked you for years will begin to crumble. That sickness that set in your joints starts to leave. That debt that strangled you begins to dry up. That fear that chased you begins to retreat. Why? Because everything in the natural must eventually yield to the spiritual law of faith. Jesus said, "He shall have whatsoever he saith." Not he might have, not he could have, but he shall have. The same way a seed must grow when it's watered and protected, your confession, your faith, your daily word speaking must produce results. Say, "My body obeys the word. My finances obey the word. My future obeys the word. My house obeys the word."
Four, you become a living testimony. Now, listen to me, you're not just going to see change for yourself. Others are going to notice. They'll say you look different. You sound different. You're not afraid anymore. You don't talk defeat anymore. What happened to you? And you'll say, "I got the word in my mouth. I took one verse, I spoke it, I believed it and now look what the Lord has done." Revelation 12:11 says, "They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony." Your mountain moving becomes somebody else's faith boost. Your breakthrough becomes someone else's blueprint. Say, "I'm a testimony in the making. I speak the word. I see the results, and I give God the glory." Praise God. That's what happens when the word starts producing.
Now, in the next part, I want to talk to you about what to do after the 30 days because this is not the end, it's just the beginning. Glory to God, you made it. You've been speaking your verse. You've seen the changes. You felt the shift. You've watched mountains move and peace settle in your spirit. Now, you might ask, "What do I do next?" And here's what I'm going to tell you, child of God, don't stop, don't slow down, don't let up, don't turn back. Why? Because the word doesn't expire. The promises of God don't go out of date. Faith doesn't have a finish line. Faith is the lifestyle of the believer. Hebrews 10:38 says, "Now, the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him." You don't visit faith, you live there. Say it out loud. "Faith is where I live. The word is how I walk."
One, repeat the process with a new verse. Don't wait until another crisis shows up, go ahead and choose your next verse now. If you spent 30 days on healing, now go 30 days on provision. If you spent 30 days on peace, go 30 days on direction. You're not done, you're just deeper. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." From glory to glory, not from panic to panic. The same process that brought your last miracle will bring your next one. Say, "I'm going from word to word, from glory to glory, from victory to victory."
Two, keep the old verse alive in you. Now, hear this, just because you're moving to a new verse doesn't mean you throw away the old one. No, sir. That verse is a sword. That verse is a foundation. That verse is part of your spiritual DNA now. Psalm 119:11 says, "Thy word have I hid in mine heart." You hide it so you can swing it when the enemy attacks. You keep it sharp. You keep it ready. So, you may be on Philippians 4:19 now, but that old Isaiah 53:5 still lives in you. You're not abandoning it. You're stacking your arsenal. Say, "I don't forget the word. I build on it. I huddle."
Three, make daily confession a lifestyle. Don't ever say again, "I did that 30-day thing." No, you're not in a 30-day challenge. You're in a lifetime calling. You're called to live like Jesus, talk like Jesus, and walk like Jesus. And Jesus said, "I only say what I hear my Father say." John 12:49. That means you got to keep your mouth full of the Father's words every day in every season, rain or shine, pressure or peace. Keep saying what God says. Say, "I'll never be wordless again. My mouth is filled with God's truth."
Four, sugar your testimony. When God brings you through, the devil will try to discredit your testimony. Don't let him. Keep your confession sharp. Don't slip back into old words. Don't say, "Well, I don't know how long this will last." No. No, it's permanent. You were healed. You were delivered. You were provided for. You were preserved by the power of God through faith. Keep saying it. Keep sharing it. Keep testifying.
