Hey everyone, and thanks for jumping back into the heavy metalverse. Today, we're going to talk about palladium, dubious speculation. Let's go ahead and jump in.
So, I actually had a few requests for an update. Uh, obviously, I don't talk about palladium that frequently, but we did put out a video about a month ago where we noticed that palladium was back at the bull market support band. We made the comparisons to, um, you know, to like Ethereum, and we, like, we zoomed in on it testing that 21-week EMA. But we also made comparisons to the Hang Seng index, uh, the, in, in China, and, and we generally just talked about the idea that palladium would follow a, a similar move, right? And that it should hold support at the 21-week EMA, 20 SMA, and ultimately, um, head higher. We noticed that this was forming a base, and ultimately, we just speculated that, um, you know, that it would, that it would continue higher. Now, at the time, palladium was $1,092, uh, at least, you know, that one specifically, we were looking at this ticker. Now, it's at $1,465. So, it's moved up a lot. You can see that from where we zoomed in, palladium essentially bottomed right there. And ever since then, palladium is up about 37%.
All right. Now, one of the things that is important to remember, especially going into the next few years and, and, you know, whatever macro uncertainties we may face, is, is that there's always a bull market somewhere. It's not always where you maybe want it to be, but there is always a bull market somewhere. You just have to know where to look. And, and that was the reason why, you know, we've talked more about commodities this year than in prior years. It, it's basically, you know, just the acknowledgement that, hey, like, I don't, I mean, I don't, I certainly don't control what's moving when, but when you have nice setups and the macro environment is good for commodities, it's hard to, you know, to fade those moves. So, I just wanted to provide an update here about palladium because it has moved up a lot in a relatively short period of time. For instance, this week alone, it's already up 17%. Right? That's a really, a really big move.
Um, I would say, at the end of the day, like, I'm just bullish on commodities, right? Yeah. I mean, with silver hitting a new all-time high relatively soon, more than likely, it's probably going to lead to a pullback by gold, and you might see a broader pullback by commodities in general. But I would view it as just a, a pullback, a consolidation period into macro higher lows, not something to like panic over, right? It's not like, I don't view it as something you need to panic sell because we might have a pullback in commodities. It's more so like, hey, if we, if we get one, that could be a good time to add.
Um, as far as palladium goes, one of the things I, I'm looking at in terms of this trend that we've followed, we, we looked at, you know, the HSI and, and made some comparisons to that, is this sort of looking at, at a prior, some of these prior lower highs. So, going back over to palladium, what I would look at is perhaps this level right here. Okay. Um, about $1,600 or so. Now, I'm not saying palladium has to get rejected at $1,600, and ultimately, I think it will go higher, but we also have to respect that bull markets for some of this stuff are, you know, there's periods where it goes up a lot and then you get pullbacks, right? So, while it might find some resistance at some point in the next few weeks, I, I think it would ultimately build out into a, a higher low. I mean, we called this entire move, uh, essentially where we looked at, at this breakout here. If you guys go back to some of those videos, we, we, we noted this video, uh, this breakout here. It said that it would likely be a false breakout on the first attempt, but after backtesting that 20-week SMA, 21-week EMA, it should then rally higher. That's what happened, right? So, this was a good entry point around $1,100. That was a great entry point because, um, you know, we were already building off this base. We were already seeing gold lead the rally, right? Just like Bitcoin leads the bull market in crypto, gold leads the bull market in, in precious metals.
So, I, I do want people to be aware in general that I would, I would generally expect a pullback in the coming weeks in commodities. But one of the things that I think you can learn, like anyone can learn from, you know, from a lot of bull markets in the past, is that you'll drive yourself insane trying to time exact tops, right? Like, you will. And there's no reason to try to go be a hero doing it, right? You're better off just, you know, assuming the status quo remains unchanged. So, what I would say, and, and I, I'll just, the only reason I'm mentioning gold and silver is because I imagine if they do get pullbacks, it would affect palladium. One of the things I've said is that gold will likely get some type of a pullback after silver breaks the all-time high. Well, it's gotten pretty close, and realistically speaking, there's a good chance that silver will, will sweep that all-time high relatively soon. Now, if it goes above $50, it doesn't mean that it has to immediately get rejected, right? Like, there's a chance it could run beyond $50 for a little while. When you look at gold, what you'll notice when it first broke some of these highs is that it actually surpassed the high by seven, eight percent and then got the correction back down. So, when I, when I call for a pullback by gold after silver sweeps the all-time high, like, that doesn't mean that the second it crosses this line, you have to have a pullback. What I'm saying is that there's going to be some margin of, of, of error there where, like, you know, it could still rally beyond maybe 5 to 10% beyond. But ultimately, I think what's going to happen with gold, or sorry, with silver, is that it'll run these highs for a little while, extend above it, and then get a pullback back down below the highs, consolidate in here for a while, like gold did, and then run again a little bit later on. That's how I see that playing out for silver.
Now, when silver breaches the all-time high and, and is, and people are feeling euphoric, that's when I think you'll get a pullback by gold, and it could lead to a pullback by palladium. But, I mean, I also think palladium is, is, is kind of trying to catch up right now, right? Like, it hasn't moved as much as some of the other metals. Um, and it's trying to catch up. And, I mean, I, I just made a video for ITC Premium, uh, on Sunday, I believe, or, or Tuesday. I don't remember when it was. And we were talking about, you know, breaking through $1,300 this week, right? And not only did it break through $1,300, it already broke through $1,400. And it might, I mean, it maybe it'll break through $1,500 too. Again, a 16 to 17% move in a single week is, is a big move for, you know, a commodity.
Um, and I know a lot of you guys are, are, are so focused on, on, you know, the crypto markets, and that's fine, but a lot of times, like, I think people will think they can make more money on an altcoin than, than some of these other assets. So, they just refuse to even think about anything other, other than crypto. But unfortunately, if the four-year cycle is, and you've been able to get away with that for this cycle because there's still been plenty of money to make in crypto. But if, if 2026 is a bare market for crypto, if the four-year cycle remains intact, that doesn't mean that you can't make money anywhere, right? It just means you have to shift your focus. And so, you probably noticed I've been talking more about commodities this year than I normally do. And it's because, you know, a lot of them are have formed nice bases and are, are rallying back up and, and sort of trying to reclaim some of their, some of their glory days.
So, I just wanted to provide this update on palladium. I, I'm hoping that it can, it can rally a little bit further. Maybe, maybe come up here to these highs or something from, you know, it'll probably get a pullback off that level. Uh, again, this is a very similar structure as the HSI. And if you go look at that, you can see kind of like what it did, you know, it had, had this nice rally where it swept this high, back down, higher high, right? Where it went back up to a lower high on the way down, another pullback, and then it just kept on going. So, this pullback here in this market right there, that for palladium will likely correspond to the gold correction sometime after silver hits a new all-time high. So, it would look something like this. Um, so you have the high, back down here, you go up, you then come back down, right? And then you probably just run again, right? Like, that's how I think this is going to play out for, for palladium.
Um, and I just want to provide an update because I put out that video and I honestly was surprised, right? I mean, a lot of people actually seem to, to like that video for some reason. Um, but here we are, and it's 2025 in October, and I'm doing dubious speculation on palladium.
