BEST PC SETTINGS FOR VERDANSK! Warzone Graphics, NVIDIA, Windows, Controller, Audio, and More!

IceManIsaac46:15

Transcription

Ladies and gentlemen, Verdansk is finally here, and these are the best settings that you need to be running inside of War Zone. These weren't rushed through. We have tested every single one of these, ran through all the variables, and I've worked with not only myself, but the entire FPS hub of PC optimization specialists, the people that guys like Huskers, Nadeshot, and big names in the scene, both esports and creators use to optimize their game. I have played on these for over 20 hours, have not crashed a single time, and with my 4090, I'm getting upwards of 300 FPS in 4K, and with a fully speced out system from FPS up, they're getting up to 400 FPS in 1440p with their 5090.

Now, it doesn't matter what your rig is. Follow these settings step by step. I will explain what changes you need to make dependent on your system, and we're going to work through this step by step. Okay, let's go ahead and jump in. We're going to jump into the settings right here and we're going to start with graphic settings. Now, it's important not to jump around throughout this video because each one of these kind of all compile together and there's some little creepy stuff here and there, but it will make a massive difference for your system.

Now, if you don't want to do any of this and you just want someone to remote in do it all for you, this video is sponsored by FPS. Once again, they are tested and trusted by the biggest names in the community. Whether you're having issues with jitters, stutters, crashing, or you just don't want to go through all of this, the config files, etc. Even if you follow this video step by step, there's still going to be things that are specific to your PC. Going into the BIOS and messing with your RAM settings, your CPU timings, your GPU timings, your your I guess your GPU clocks and and voltages. They're going to get your system not only running fast, but they're going to get it running safe. My temperatures have gone down on my CPU and GPU, but my performance has gone up. There's so much intricacy, especially with all these different systems getting dropped and all these different GPU CPU combinations. They do it for a living. They are the best in the business. And even people who are partnered with other people behind closed doors are going to the team at FPS hub cuz they come in clutch every time. So if you run through these settings and they will treat you 80% of the way there. If you want the most out of the system that you spent your hard-earned money on, go to the link down in the pin comment and the description and check out the team at FPSHub to get the most out of your system and you can use code Isaac for a discount.

Okay, without further ado, let's go ahead and jump into it. I we're going to uh run through all these settings. These is not only going to make your your game look beautiful, but we're not going to set everything to very low. Your game's going to run fast, but I don't want your game looking like crap. Okay, so full screen exclusive. You want to be running this game inside a full screen exclusive. I'm using a PG32 UCDM. It is a 4K 240 Hz OLED monitor from ASUS. I have a 4090. Screen refresh rate is set to 240 and I have my 4K resolution set. Restart shaders pre-loading is something that I suggest you doing after we go through all these settings. I've felt like my system runs better and cleaner after I set all these settings. I apply them. I then restart my shaders pre-loading, close my app, reopen my app. I'll remind you to do that here in a second, but it does help out for me. I feel like it makes my game run smoother. Anytime you're getting really bad hitches and stuff, it's not a bad idea to restart shaders pre-loading, close your app, and restart it.

For gamma and brightness, I have mine set to 55. That'll help bring up some of the shadows and the terminator skins. Now, a big one here. Nvidia reflex low latency on or on plus boost. You definitely want it on. What you can do to figure out whether you want it on or on plus boost. Honestly, it doesn't hurt to have it on plus boost. Um, mine is basically going to be on plus boost all the time. And I'll tell you why. Okay, so you'll see here right below my screen, it says low latency mode is enabled and optimizing system latency or on plus boost. Low latency mode is now enabled optimizing system latency. Additionally, GPU clock frequencies are kept high in CPUbound cases. This can reduce latency but will increase GPU power drop. Basically, what happens if you are CPUbound, meaning that your CPU is the one that's struggling to render a frame and your GPU is just kind of sitting there waiting, that GPU might start to clock down to save some um save some energy. But that means the second we need the GPU again, it can cause some like render lag and some render spikes. By putting on plus boost, it keeps your system revved up and ready to go.

Okay, how do I determine whether or not I am GPUbound or CPUbound? Real quick, we're going to jump over to interface. Apply any of the settings that you put on already. We're going to go to our telemetry. We're going to put custom, and we're going to turn on FPS counter, server latency, packet loss, and most importantly for this, GPU time, and CPU time. From there, you're going to load into a game. Load into a game of Plunder, load into a game of War Zone. And when you look up at the top of your screen, you're going to see your GPU times and your CPU times up at the top. Whichever one is greater, let's say it's 6 milliseconds compared to 4 milliseconds. The one that is greater that longer time to render, that is the one that is limiting your system. Do not do it here in the main menu. You have to go into the actual area that we're trying to render, which is Verdans. So depending on whether or not you are GPU bound or CPUbound, remember that. And if you are CPUbound, absolutely on plus boost. GPUbound, you can have on or on plus boost. But make sure if you are CPU bound, you have on plus boost.

Okay, I am GPU bound because I game in 4K and I don't have a 5090 yet. I will have one soon. Um, but right now, double check. GPUbound on. CPUbound on plus boost. Eco mode preset we have set to uh custom. The VSync we have off. VSYNC we have off. Custom frame rate limit. I have mine set to unlimited. Some people have found great success with setting it to custom and taking your monitor refresh rate and subtracting three. So, give it out. Give it a try. See which one you like better. Some people have tried out on multiple games, not just War Zone, but it basically prevents some overworking and some spiking with your with your performance where if you put your monitor refresh rate, so minus 240 Hz minus three, it can cause your game to run smoother. Right now, I've been having good luck with my game running smooth on unlimited, but it's something to try. Uh try your monitor refresh rate minus 3 and see which one feels better for you. I have my uh menu resolution set to max cuz I want it to look good for you guys while I'm recording. Pause game rendering is off. Reduce quality while inactive. I've set 10 minutes. Focus mode is zero. We do not use HDR.

Let's go ahead and jump on over to quality. For quality, uh don't use any of the graphic presets. Dynamic resolution, we have off. Render res I have set to 100. You can change that and bring it down if you are super GPUbound, but I would suggest keeping it at 100 for now. Upscaling and sharpening. I have Fidelity FX cast set and Fidelity FX cast set to 90. DLSS frame generation. Do not turn this on. Okay, it's getting better. It's continually getting better, but at the end of the day, it does add a small amount of render latency as it's using that AI to generate those frames. Is it a lot? No. But with how punishing and how fast the time to kill is in War Zone, in competitive FPS, even though this isn't an esport, it's still a competitive FPS. When gunfights come down to milliseconds, you don't really want that extra little bit of render delay. Now, if you're really struggling, you're only maybe getting like 60 fps or 80 fps and you want to feel the full power of your 144 hertz monitor or something, you can consider it. Just know there is going to be a little bit of a delay. Now, that is not the same as DLSS upscaling and sharpening. That is range generation, and it absolutely will add a delay. Small, but for me, if you're trying to make the most out of every gunfight, and the time to kill is already so forgiving, turn it to off. AMD frame generation, turn off. VRAMm target scale I have set up to 90. If you're getting uh jitters and hitches, you can try bring that down to 80 or 70. But there's some other things we can look in here as well. Variable rate shading, absolutely turn on. One of the most important settings for higher frame rate inside of War Zone. This is not variable refresh rate. This is variable rate shading. Absolutely turn it on.

Texture resolution. I have mine set to normal. You can set it all the way down to very low, but it causes some of the trees to look like Play-Doh. And for me, it's one of the settings that I'm willing to take a little bit of an FPS loss for a much beautiful uh much more beautiful experience. Uh texture filter anotropic is turned to low. This is actually one of those that you could bring up to high and it doesn't affect your FPS that much. Depth of field we have turned off. Detail quality for me I have set to normal because I like the guns and some of the textures to look better. You can have that set to low. There are a lot of these I'm going to say, hey, set to low, very, you know, very low, absolutely not. A few of these are kind of based on your perspective, right? I will tell you my suggested. If you really want to get the max out of your system, you can try turning them to all low, but I'll it's it's going to look a little rough. So, normal here, you can go very low. Normal heal, you can go low. Particle stay very low. It torches your FPS. Bullet impacts, I have mine on because that's how I test my recoil plots. Persistent effects off. Shader quality is set to low. On demand detection streaming is set to minimal. Local texture streaming quality is set to low as well. Shadow quality, I have mine set to normal. Very low. Looks horrible. It very pixelated, very jaggedy. You have textures popping in and out or shadows popping in and out. For me, it's one of those that pulls my immersion out of the game. So, I have my shadow quality set to normal. everything else as we move down. Off, off, off, low, off, low, off, off, off. It really does impact the the beauty and the atmospherics of the game. And I may I may release a video of playing this game in 4K ultra settings, but none of this stuff really pulls out my immersion. Shadow quality, uh, texture resolution, and detail quality does kind of pull me out of my immersion, and that's why I set those. The rest of them we can bring to all the way to low.

uh view. Don't turn on this motion reduction preset. We're going to change all these manually. Field of view is set to 120. ADS field of view is set to affected. Weapon field of view is set to wide. That makes your gun smaller in your screen. So that way the gun doesn't take up as much of your uh eyesight. Uh vehicle view field of view we have set to wide. The motion blur is off. Off least least third person ADS and inverted flashbang is set to off. If you don't like your screen flashing white and you want it to flash black instead, um you can have that. For me, when my screen flashes black, it reminds me of all the times that I would dev error, and that kind of gives me trauma.

Okay, now important note here. Okay, do not just skip over and think we're done with the graphic settings. Okay, what we're going to do, as we mentioned earlier, now that we've applied all of that, we're going to go to our graphic settings. We're going to go to display. We're going to go to restart shaders pre-loading. We're going to hit restart, and then we're going to close our app. We're going to start our app back up and let those shaders recompile. And once those shaders have recompiled, now we're going to get into some very important settings here over on your desktop.

Okay, so we're going to get into our desktop and we're going to start messing with some settings here that have extreme like performance implications. So for starters, you're going to rightclick, go to show, show more options, and click display settings. Then you're going to rightclick, go to show more options, and go to Nvidia control panel. Now when you click on your monitor and you scroll down here, you can see, okay, I have my display rate set. I have my resolution set. We're going to go to advanced display. Once you go to see your monitor, I have my PG32 UCDM. That is my main gaming monitor. I'm just going to sanity check to make sure everything is saying what I think it should say, what I paid for. Okay. I have a 4K monitor operating at 240 Hz. Sometimes you can't select the refresh rate that you think you should have here. And what you can do is you can go into your Nvidia control panel, go to change resolution, and then often times you can't select your full resolution up here. you have to scroll down to where it says PC and you can see now you can select your full refresh rate. Make sure you select the gaming monitor that you're currently using.

Okay. On top of that, there's some things you can do. If you want a little bit more pop of color into your game, you can go in and you can add some digital vibrance. Just keep in mind that's going to cross apply to all of your games. It's not going to affect any of your performance. Digital vibrance does not hurt your performance at all. Um, but it will make everything on your desktop, every every app that you use, every photo that you look on Facebook, everything will have that digital vibrance. So, it's just something to keep in mind um when you do make that change. Some other settings that we're going to be changing. Okay, we're going to go into our manage 3D settings and you're going to follow me through one by one on all of these. I'm adjusting these globally because this is generally good things that you can change for every single game that you have. So, follow with me. Image sharpening off, ambient occlusion off, anotropic filtering off, anti anti-aliasing, all of them we're going to have off. Obviously, you can change them in the individual program itself. Background application max frame rate off. CUDA GPU cores all CUDA system fallback driver default. Low latency mode is on. Max frame rate off. Monitor technology fixed refresh. Uh MFAA off. OpenGL GDDI auto. We are using the GPU that you have. Make sure it's not selecting like your um your CPU as as the GPU. The onboard uh graphics. I'm drawing a blank on the name there. The preferred refresh rate is application controlled. Shader cache is driver default. Texture filtering anotropic texture filtering negative LOD bias allow. Texture filtering quality high performance. Texture filtering trilinear optimization on. Threaded optimization on triple buffering off. Vertical sync use 3D application virtually rendered pre virtual reality pre-render frames one virtual reality off. and Vulcan OpenGL Auto. Anything that you change there, you're going to go ahead and apply. And if you haven't already, you're going to want ahead and go through and update your drivers. So, all you need to do is go into Google and type in for me, these are the the drivers that I used throughout all of her dance. I've played over 20 hours of her dance. Haven't crashed a single time. And this is the the driver that the FPS sub team recommends. It is 572.83. Type that in into Google, download the 572.83 83 drivers. And when you install them, you can hit custom and just do a clean install and just basically make sure everything is a clean install. You don't need to install like the Invorty Nvidia GeForce experience. Just install the drivers. That's all you need. We don't need any more crap on our on our system. Although, they did actually recently clean up Nvidia um GeForce Experience.

That being said, talking about looking clean, make sure you pick up some Iceman Isaac merch. Limited time availability. We have the loadout t-shirt. We have the helicopter tours t-shirt outside of Academy Supertore. We have the Academy Airlines outside of Verdans Airport hangers. If you're a little bit more minimal, you want an embroidered tea with a blue embroidered logo or a blue shirt with a black embroidered logo. We also have a more tactical look with an American flag, big logo on the front and desert and olive green. And then we also have some minimal hats that will be a puff embroidery, kind of a uh popped out really strong embroidery. It'll look nice. has kind of a a nice 3D but also minimal look. And we'll have it in white as well. That'll be linked down in the description. It's also on the shop. If you want to support the channel and you want to support me and you want to rock some dope merch, you can check that out.

Okay, so we've applied all that. We've messed with our uh Nvidia control panel settings. That's all set. We've updated our drivers. We've reset our PC as necessary. Now, let's get into the Windows settings. So, for the Windows settings, what we're going to do is we're going to type in the word game. Okay? Okay. And we're going to look for where it says turn on game mode. We're going to have game mode on and we're going to have game bar off. I don't have the option for game bar because FPSHub helped me install kind of like a stripped down version of Windows that got rid of a lot of bloatware and other crap that goes on in the Windows systems. My my system is still safe and runs and does everything that I needed to do, but it just gets rid of all the crapware that's in in the back back into your system that's running while you're trying to game. And I gained like an additional 20 FPS in 4K when I went over to this. So the guys over at FPS Hub can help you out. Once again, pen, comment, and description. So game mode on, game bar off. And then we're going in and we're going to type graphics. For graphics, you're going to type graphics settings. Go to change default graphics settings. And we're going to have hardware accelerated GPU scheduling on. And we're going to have variable refresh rate off. All right. So that is all that it comes to the Windows settings. Now, let's get into Oh, actually one more thing for Windows settings is actually really important. Uh, type in the word power. You're going to go to choose power plan. And for pretty much everybody, you're going to put the max performance. Okay? You're going to put max performance, highest performance, whatever it is. For a few people, specifically for the most recent AMD CPUs, and I'll have it all up on the screen right now. Your 9800 X3Ds, your 7800 X3Ds, your 9950Xs, etc., you're going to want to operate in the balanced power plan because that's what works best for AMD CPUs.

Now, from there, we're going to go ahead and open up our documents. We're going to go into documents, Call of Duty players, and then the War Zone document is the TXT0. Now, make sure these files aren't are not set to read only because if they are set to read only, basically what will end up happening is whenever you make a change to your setting in game, let's say you change your controller sensitivity, once you close out your Call of Duty app and then you reopen it, this will override it and it will make it to where all the settings that you changed, all the key binds that you changed did not save. So, we're going to change these settings. We're going to save this document, but do not have it set to read only. So, let's go ahead and open it up. So, we're going to open up txt.0. You can just use something like Notepad to open it up. And then we have a few things that we're going to change. So, what you need to do is you need to go in. You need to type Ctrl+F. And the first thing we're going to type in is the word corpse. For corpse, maximum number of AI corpses. We're going

To go in here, and we're going to type zero.

From there, we're going to type in the word blood. And it says limit blood effects. We're going to type true there. Basically, we don't have too many blood effects stacking on top of each other, which hurts our visibility and our performance. Go right down below it. When limiting blood effects, number of milliseconds between effects, we're going to type in 2,000. That gives the most amount of time between the effects, which limits obviously how much those are going to stack. You can keep going down even further and show blood effects. Totally up to you. If you want blood effects on, like if you're shooting a body and you want to see the blood come out, you can see have you can have that set to true. If you want, you can also set that to false to prevent blood effects from being shown.

Now, I have heard some reports of people having blood effects set to false and with this most recent update. It's still showing them. Sometimes this happens with config file changes. And once again, changing config files is something that's been done like for decades across all FPS, and it's well known within the COD scene, commonly practiced within the COD scene. No issues with doing this. It's basically like an advanced graphic settings to help your game run as smooth as possible. You can have show blood effects set to false. Also, make sure you have blood and gore in the game settings set to false as well. And that should prevent the blood spattering, which not only could potentially mess with your visibility, but also could mess with your performance as well.

We'll go down right below that to brass and set weapon eject brass set to false. That's when you're firing the ejections of the brass aren't going to cover your screen, and more importantly, mess with your performance.

From there, we're going to type in the word probe. Probe refraction probe refra reflection probe relighting update stages. We're going to go ahead and set that to one. And then from there, we're going to type in the word clip map, one word. Static sun shadow moment clip map resolution. Have that set to zero.

Now, a really big one next up is type in the word renderer. So, with the word renderer, it'll take us to thread count for handling the job. Q renderer worker count. You are going to have to figure it out based off of the giant grid that I have behind me right here based on the CPU that you're using. And you might have to look up the information if you're not sure. If you have Intel, it's going to be your total number of P cores or performance cores minus one. AMD with two CCDs, you're going to take half your total cores. And if AMD with a single CCD, you're going to take your total number of cores minus one. So for me, I have a 9800 X3D, so I have eight cores. So I'm going to take eight minus one. And that brings me to seven.

And then finally, we're going to go over to keeps. It's a very important one. This all goes back to the conversation we had earlier. If you are GPU limited, like I am because I'm gaming in 4K and my GPU time is higher or longer than my CPU time, you're going to set true. If you are CPU bound, you're going to set this to false. Some more advanced stuff and some different variables between, you know, if you're if you're a close call on whether you're CPU or GPU bound. Once again, guys over at FPSub can help you out, but that is a general rule that has netted a lot of performance for people inside of War Zone, especially in the Black Ops 6 engine, both on Ursan and Verdans.

Now, all you need to do is go to the top, press file, save, and before you do that, exit out, go a c or select all, and copy. And now we can exit out of that. And we just edited the .txt0 file. Now we can go into the txt1 file and copy over that. And you'll see it's got the same amount of characters. 18163 for me, 18163 for the other one. And basically these are the multiplayer and the war zone. And so and I think the the campaign as well, they all share some. And so if you copy these settings to where they're the same across the entire board, it will make it to where sometimes they won't override each other or the game won't feel different as you head from multiplayer to war zone. So, go ahead and save both. Now that the settings are all the same, exit out and you're done.

All right, now we're back into some of the in-game settings, but there are also going to be things here that will affect your visibility. So, make sure to hang around cuz some of the things the interface settings might affect the way your game looks as well. So, starting off though with the audio settings, we have gameplay music volume set to zero. Dialogue volume set to 50%. That way, it's not so loud when the uh, you know, announcer is yapping in your ear. Effect volume 100, cinematic volume is set to zero. Uh, for speakers, you can just set whatever you're listening to. As you guys know, Art is War is kind of like the meta when it comes to clamping down those super loud sounds that actually allows you to to hear some footsteps. Um, Art actually now is partnered with FPSHub. So, it's like the best in the business of PC optimization and audio. So, there you go. If you want to check him out, he's now with FPS Hub as well. Pretty much everyone in the in the pro compes it. A lot of people that run pubs with it as well just cuz it makes one footsteps easier to hear, and two it makes it to where your ears aren't blown out by air strikes, and three Activision has allowed us to use it in public tournaments in World Series of War Zone. So if they if they're cool with us using it, I'm going to use it because I'm not going to get sound or in a game with absolute instant time to kill. It's just the reality of the situation. Uh enhanced headphone mode I have set to off, but if you want to try that out, you can try it out for yourself. We have 7.1 surround sound set to on. Uh Treyarch mix. Right now, there's a bug in the game. I'm not sure if they're going to patch it where no matter what you changed, it wouldn't affect what you're hearing in game. Uh, in general though, I do like Treyarch mix the best. Some of these other ones are a little bit too bass boosty for me. Uh, mono audio I have set off, mute game off, mute license off, asymmetrical off. Configure frequency intensity. I went down and I lowered down, sorry, that's loud. Uh, the 8K and the 10K just because there's no reason I need to be hearing those frequencies. So, I just brought them down. It only lowers it like a few decibels, but still that that can help reducing the tinnitus sound. Set that to on as well. Hit marker presets. You can have it set to the Black Ops, the default, or classic. I'm trying around a few different ones. I kind of like the classic right now. Um I I figured there would be an option for like classic war zone, but I think classic war zone sounds are enabled via the classic setting. Um, let me know down in the comments. Right now, I'm preferring classic. Uh, maybe in in War Zone, it just overrides it and there's only one option. That may be why I like it so much because I still feel like I'm hearing War Zone classic hit marker sounds. Um, voice chat volume I have set to 50. Uh, voice chat, this is all personal preference here. If you want any of this stuff on, I have mine all turned on. Um, microphone I have set to push to talk. And I use the P key, which is set up with a foot pedal. So, when I step on my foot pedal, it says it it allows me to open my push to talk. That way I can continue to aim and move without ever having to worry about whether or not I'm hand jaming something.

Uh for interface, some good stuff in here. Menu prompts I've set to automatic. Skip introduction movie I have on. So that way I can skip the introduction movie. Uh tool tips, I don't need tips. I have those turned off. If you want your tips, make sure to subscribe here for more cuz we're going to have War Zone Academy style guides coming up. Telemetry I have set to custom as we set earlier. Telemetry size I have set to default. And I have my alert icon set on as well. For readability, I have visual sport preset turned off because we're going to change it all manually. Uh subtitles I have set to default. I really only have them on inside of campaign. For the menu text size, default default, but color customization is something important. You can change these as you see fit, but what most people I have been doing is running filter 2 and setting it to both and then setting the intensity to 100. That can help kind of bring out some of the vibrance of the map, take away some of the greens and yellows, making some of some of the rest of the reds and blues and greens pop and taking away some of the yellows. Um, personal preference there. If you want to see it, you can kind of see how it it changes the mini map a little bit underneath, but it does really help out in my opinion uh with adding just a little bit of color pop to the world. So, I have filter to both and have the both intensity set to 100. That is purely personal preference.

Gameplay HUD, make sure you have your mini map set to square. Mini map rotation, I have on. Compass type, I have set to horizontal. For map assist, this is something new. I have it set to auto center, so every time I open up the map, it auto centers on my character. Uh, you can have it set to auto center and zoom where it zooms in, but what I like to do is I like to open up my map whenever I'm hearing gunshots around me. Sometimes it won't appear on my mini map, but it will appear when I open up my full map. So, that's a nice option there. So, I have auto center set on. Uh, weapon inspect attachment info is set to on. So, if you inspect a weapon in game, it will show all the attachments in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Custom ping duration I have set to off. Crosshair, personal preference here. If you want, you can set your crosshair color to a different color. I've played around with having my crosshair either white or blue. Totally up to you. Just some nice little things here. If you want to see set like a pink or purple or blue crosshair, some people like that customization there. Obviously, make sure we have our hit marker visuals turned on. Um, for equipment information, I have all this stuff right now set to 100. But what you can do is, you know, sometimes you'll get a kill and it'll like bang bang bang bang, like long shot, double kill, and all this information will pop up on your screen, which sometimes can mask your visibility. I might start playing around with taking things like score feed, um, medals and notifications, um, maybe maybe some other stuff in here as well down, so that way I don't feel like it's clogging up my feed and potentially blocking any pertinent information. Uh it it looks nice in multiplayer, but in battle royale where there's more verticality, people up on rooftops and stuff, you might consider turning some of that down as you play throughout the rest of the map. Everything else on the gameplay HUD I have set per standard.

Over here into account and network, um you can go into here into your privacy choices and when you click that you can turn off them selling your information, which I would encourage you to do. Uh some options here. If you want to have text chat on, profanity filter on, I would suggest having profanity filter on. People say it's some wild stuff. Dismemberment gore effects is what we mentioned earlier if you want that on or off. I keep mine on just because there are some eliminations and some executions where you can't see what happens or some kills with with uh blueprint weapons where it makes like a special effect when you kill someone. Totally up to you whether or not you you want that on or off. For the most competitive, I would have it turned off. One, cuz it doesn't use resources to render effects, and two, those effects sometimes can mask what's going on on your screen. Uh everything else is all set to personal preference.

All right, let's get into controller settings now. So, I'm just going to use my mouse to navigate through this just because it's a lot easier to move through with the mouse. Um, but right now, this is the equivalent of 66.8. U, actually, I think I've bumped mine up one more to where right now I have it at 1.7 1.7. Back in the Verdance days, if you came from the glory days, 1.7 or 1.6 is about what is the equivalent of 66, which is like the classic um, sensitivity that people used to use. So, I would try setting it around there. So 66 and then your aim down sight sensitivity is 8. So it's a little bit slower. I'll show you where to find that. Controller vibration. We're going to have that turned off. Dead zone inputs very very very very important here. Have your dead zone set as low as you can without generating a large amount of drift. Some people say bring that all the way down so that you're constantly having stick drift because in this game aim assist is the most activated when you have a little bit of strafe put into your left stick. So if you bring that left stick all the way down, what it can do is make you have a little bit of strafe. I don't like that. I like it to where I just barely put weight on my thumb stick and I start strafing. But in general, always be strafing when you're in in Call of Duty gunfights because it activates that rotational aim assist. Another thing, I've started bringing down my left stick max. So that way, I don't need to fully press my stick to the edge of the controller for it to reach the point where it activates my tactical sprint. So bringing that down kind of makes where you start sprinting a little bit sooner. Same thing here for the right stick man. I like I don't like stick drift, but I do like my dead zone low. I think it defaults to like 10, which will feel like crap and will have your aim feeling really wonky. Uh, from there, moving on over to aiming. This is where we find the 08 sensitivity multiplier. ADS sensitivity multiplier. Bring that to 8. Aiming advanced settings. Uh, I have the ADS sensitivity transition timing set to instant. And here is the dynamic. The aim response curve type is set to dynamic. So, you always heard the thing 66.8 dynamic. Now, it's 1.7 1.7.8 dynamic or 1.6 1.6. 6.8 dynamic. I don't have any custom sensitivities, per zoom. Target aim assist. Turn it on. You want it. ADS aim assist on. Don't do anything with the motion sensor behavior. Don't believe any hype or BS that people say changing any of this stuff changes anything. It doesn't. Don't follow the Tik Tok hype. Follow me. I'm not going to BS you about the things that actually help out your game. Tactical sprint assist. Have this turned on. Okay. Tactical sprint assist. Sprint assist delay. Make sure it is zero. This is our auto attack sprint. Sprint assist delay would make it to where there is a delay where you start running then you start sprinting. It feels horrible. We're going to want side and backwards sprint assist on so that way we can sprint in every direction. It's going to be really key for the movement in this game. We'll have movement guides coming in the future. All of our assists we're going to have turned off. Okay, we don't want the game automatically doing any movements for us that we don't want it to do, which may cause animations that will get us killed. Corner slicing. That's when you go up to something and you feel your gun starting to go sideways. It doesn't change what your character model is doing on your end. So having it on or off doesn't change your character moving in a certain way. It's purely just changing your camera and making your camera do that. And I think that's really awkward and it's just a distraction. So absolutely I would have that turned off. Slide dive behavior. I have mine set to hybrid. It's really important, okay, that you know how the rest of these are working. Okay, diving is very important. So I would not suggest setting slide slide only. Okay. Tap to slide isn't actually tap to slide. It is tap and release to slide because otherwise if you tap to slide and you hold it it will if you tap it and hold it you will die. So it's tap and release to slide which is bad. I want the second that I bottom out that input it will start the slide which is what hybrid does for us. Okay. When I tap for a millisecond instantly I'll start my slide and then I can do my slide cancels. Obviously, I'm saying all this with my hands because I use a Scuf controller. I'll have an Invision guide coming up as well as part of like an advanced movement guide that allows me to use these paddles on the back of the controller that allows me to use these side access buttons to do things like jump, slide, dive, etc. But even if you're playing with a regular controller, you don't want to have to press release, press, release in order to slide. You want to press and then you instantly start sliding, right? So, we have hybrid setup. And then in order to dive, you need to hold L3 and then dive. It's a little bit clunky, but I actually have some solutions to that coming up in an advanced movement guide. At the very least, though, you want crisp slides, otherwise you're going to die. Do not use tap to slide cuz it's not tap to slide, it's tap and release to slide. Side note, one thing that I've noticed on both controller and keyboard and mouse is sometimes it's grayed out your ability to turn off automatic airborne mantle, which I want that off cuz I don't want a mantle accidentally. And also sometimes it will gray out grounded mantle. So unfortunately the only way to fix that is to hit the reset tab button. Confirm that. Now you have to toggle the combat. Toggle back to movement. Now you can actually mess with that setting again. We can turn it off. But now we have to reset everything that we put on. So tactical sprint assist turn that back on. Then we can move through the rest of the settings as well as messing with the grounded mantle. But we'll get into that here in a second. Okay. Sprint restore on. Slide maintain sprint on. On. Parachute automatic behavior off. Mantle cancel reload off. Movement advanced settings we have set to um toggle. Grounded mantle we have turned off because that often times will cause the game to mantle for you when you don't mean to mantle which will get you killed. Sprint activation single tap run. That is actually single tap tactical sprint which is what we want. Now obviously autotactical sprint should be working but sometimes when it doesn't we want single tap run. We want sprinting door bash set to on and plunging auto water set to free. Vehicle advanced behaviors totally up to you. But what I would suggest doing is vehicle control set to driver control. So that way it's the standard, you know, L2R2 for the uh accelerate and braking. Uh vehicle camera recenter I have set to off cuz I don't want the camera moving around on me. I have that set to off. And initial position is set to free look. So that way when I get into a vehicle, it's kind of looking in the same direction that I was already looking in case I'm trying to like use it as a third person to look over with that vehicle.

Moving on to combat. Aim down sight behavior set to hold. Tactical stance on toggle. Tactical stance activation is ADS when the down button. Weapon mount activation is ADS and melee. Dedicated melee weapon activation. Make sure you're using your dedicated melee weapon. A lot of people don't realize we have one. If you hold R3, you hold your melee button. You will pull out a combat knife. That's going to allow you to sprint with unlimited tactical sprint. You don't need to run across the map and slide cancel, slide cancel, slide cancel to reset tack sprint like we did back in MW 2019. You hold R3, that will pull out a knife, and that will allow you to traverse the map exceptionally faster than you otherwise would. Heck, I'm pulling out my knife to finesse mid gunfight.

If I'm trying to create space away from my opponent, personal preference here, I have prioritized finishing move. Armor plate behavior is set to apply all. C4 detonation is all at once. Equipment behavior is set to hold. Manual fire behavior is set to press.

Combat advance settings. Um, a big one here is weapon mount exit; have set to instant. There's a short delay, which I don't like. If I'm getting shot at while I'm mounted, I want to instantly get off of that. Prioritize interact. Please make sure you have this set to war zone. That is to where anytime you press square, it is instant. For looting, for opening doors, but if there is a time where you can both reload and open a door or something, interact takes priority, right? So, if you're if you're mid-gunfight and you're trying to open up a door, you don't have to hold to open up that door. You don't have to hold to get into a vehicle. But if you want to reload and you're sitting inside of a vehicle, make sure you don't tap to reload because you'll jump out of the vehicle. If you have to reload and interact at the same time, tapping will interact. It'll cause you to jump out of a helicopter. Holding will cause you to reload. Okay.

Campbell behavior I've set to independent. ADS stick swap off. Depleted ammo weapon switch have set to off. I will swap my guns when I run out of ammo. I don't want the game doing it for me.

Overlay behaviors. Uh, overlay advanced settings. I haven't changed anything inside of here. And that wraps up our controller settings.

If you are jumping out right now, do me a favor. Check out FPSUB if you haven't already. There's a reason why biggest top-name creators and competitors are using them. Let's go ahead and get over to the keyboard and mouse section. Key mouse. I have 2.9 set with a 1600 DPI. Basically, what that allows me to do is whenever I don't have my hand cam on. Whenever I do one swipe, whatever a swipe is comfortable with my arm, that will do a 360 for me, right? So, that makes it to where I always know half a swipe is a 180, a full swipe is a 360. So, if I want to hit a 360 on someone, I can jump, swipe, and then my aim will be centered exactly back where I was. Um, and that's how I determine my sensitivity. That's different for everybody, but on 1600 DPI, uh, 2.9 sensitivity is what works really well for me. Um, don't change any of these presets. We'll change all this stuff manually. I don't mess with any of the mouse advanced settings except for one thing. Make sure this is set to instant. Uh, for the mouse calibration, um, I have my mouse wheel delay set really low down to 20. Don't have any mouse smoothing. Don't have any mouse filtering. Don't have any mouse acceleration turned on. Um, some people mess with the monitor distance coefficient here. I don't. Once again, I base everything off of off of my my flick that I mentioned here, and that set me to 2.9.

Uh, for keybinds, okay, I'll show you some of my favorite keybinds. I have G is set to auto run. So, I press G, my character will start running across the map. Prone dive, I have set to the rear mouse button. So, if I press the rear mouse button, it will set me to a prone. There's a really unfortunate thing happening right now with mouse and key where if you try to snake, which requires you to back up and prone sometimes, it will result in you diving. Um, I if a developer is watching this, please, for the love of God, I've been asking for this since Black Ops 6. We have dedicated keybinds for dive. There is not a dedicated keybind for prone. And I hate that because if I want to prone, but I'm sprinting with my automatic tactical sprint assist available in all directions, it often times will result in me diving when I'm trying to prone. All of this can be solved if we had a dedicated prone keybind. Right now, we have a prone dive keybind. We have a dive keybind, but we don't have a prone keybind. Technically, you could use stance down and press that twice and see if that works for you, but it felt really clunky when I was doing it. Like it it felt like it was like in stages instead of going to prone. Um, so just something that I'm aware of and I'm still advocating for whenever I play mouse and keyboard. Some options are to try stance down and another option is to try removing the sprint assist backwards, but I don't want to nerf my movement. So, just something to be aware of that there is a little bit of a weird thing with diving and proning accidentally with the omniovement engine. So, some options there to try around with. I just have mine set to the same thing and I just try to be really careful that whenever I'm moving, I kind of stop my movement for a second if I'm trying to prone, otherwise I'll end up diving accidentally.

Uh, crouch slide is set to control. Sprint is set to shift. Advanced keybinds cut parachute is set to left control. I have mantle set to C. That basically makes it to where there are sometimes where I know for a fact I want to mantle, right? Like I I don't want to jump and then mantle or I don't want to jump and then get stuck in a window and I'm trying to like I'm trying to jump into the window but it's not biting off on the window and then I just end up getting myself killed. If you run up to that window and you hold C, it will no matter what grab onto that and start the mantle animation and what is basically grounded mantling but on your command. It works great. Set up a mantle keybind. It'll change your life. Um, everything else here is set to standard.

Combat keybinds, I I actually don't use the next weapon. I'll show you what I have. Weapon mount is set to Z. Fire mode is set to in. Um, melee is set to E. Lethal equipment, I click my center mouse wheel. That allows me to aim and then throw. For the armor plate, I have set to four. Interact is set to F. Combat advance keybinds. I have my first and second weapon set to the one and the two keybind. So, I can just press one and two. You could try doing previous weapon and next weapon. Um, some people like to do that, but there are some issues with that sometimes when it comes to the the melee weapon. I'll show I'll show you what I mean here in a second. So, what I've done is I have set my melee weapon to a dedicated keybind. That way, I don't have to hold melee. I don't have to hold E for me to pull out my knife. I can just tap alt and it'll allow me to instantly pull out that knife and get automatic tactical sprint, unlimited tactical sprint, and really start finessing fast with a faster sprint speed than I would otherwise get with my first or second weapon.

Score streaks, everything is set to standard vehicle keybinds. Um, I have next seat and previous seat set to up and down, so that way I can kind of swap through a little bit faster. Um, if I'm trying to do any seat swap plays, auto drive for is set to G. Uh, for lean out I have set to E. Climb on roof is set to X. The horn is set to uh four. That's for some some different vehicles. And then for uh air vehicles, I have descend set to either control or my rear mouse button. And ascend set to spacebar. Swapping seats with the scroll wheel. And I mean everything here you can kind of just set to set to personal preference. Uh, everything else for vehicle keybinds, overlay keybinds. For the map I have set to B cuz I don't want to stretch my finger all the way out to M cuz I open up my map all the time. Ping I have set to my front mouse button.

Overlay advanced keybinds. There are some things you can do inside of here for like I I like to if I hover over something and I request it, I just basically press my ping button to request it. Uh, center map is set to E, but now that is actually permanent through an interface um setting that we mentioned earlier. It will auto center the map on me. And delete pings is Z. So you can open up your map and press Z and it will delete the pings uh on your on your map and inspect is set to I. A lot of this is personal preference to see just kind of how your brain is wired.

Push to talk. Once again, I have my push to talk set to a foot pedal. Uh, menu advance key mines. You can set any of these. I highly encourage you to set mute sound and disconnect from chat channel. So that way you can either mute the game if it's loud or mute people saying some wild stuff.

Moving on. Movement. I have tactical sprint assist set to on and a zero delay. That's going to make it where there's no delay when I start my attack sprint. Mantle assist is set to off and everything else with it is set to off. Crouch assist off. Corner slice is set to off. That's when you kind of turn your aim like this. We don't want any of that stuff on. Um, that only happens on your POV. It doesn't change the way your character moves. So just I in my opinion I would just have it set to off. Crouch behavior I have set to toggle. Prone behavior I've set to go to. Sprint is set to toggle.

Side note, one thing that I've noticed on both controller and keyboard and mouse is sometimes it's grayed out your ability to turn off automatic airborne mantle, which I want that off because I don't want a mantle accidentally. And also, sometimes it will gray out grounded mantle. So, unfortunately, the only way to fix that is to hit the reset tab button. Confirm. Confirm that. Now, you have to toggle the combat, toggle back to movement. Now, you can actually mess with that setting again. We can turn it off, but now we have to reset everything that we put on. So, tactical sprint assist, turn that back on. Make sure the delays are set down. Mantle assist off, crouch assist off, turn off the corner slice. Uh, crouch behavior is toggle. Prone is go to. Uh, tactical sprint behavior is toggle. Airborne mantle is off. Then we can move through the rest of the settings as well as messing with the grounded mantle, but we'll get into that here in a second.

Automatic behavior is set to off, sprint restore on, slide maintain sprint on, mantle cancels reload is set to off. Walk behavior is hold. Walk speed slow. Grounded mantle I have turned off because now I use dedicated mantle keybind and that helps me out. Slide dive activation I have set to independent. So that way I can slide and never have to worry about diving. And I have a dedicated prone button set with the rear mouse button. Tactical sprint activation is single tap run. So if I press sprint once, it'll take me to the tactical sprint animation. Although the automatic tactical sprint should be doing the job for me. Sprinting door batch is set to on. Everything else here is set to standard.

Vehicle behaviors. A lot of different stuff you can put here. I have all mine set to driver control and free look. And I don't want my vehicle to automatically reenter for me. And lean out activation is set to melee.

From there, moving over to combat. Aim down sight savior is set to hold. Interact is set to press. Dedicated keybind for melee activation. That makes it to where I press my alt key, which is right below my spacebar. That allows me to pull out my my knife instantly. Some people put it on caps lock as well, which basically is like your shift and your caps lock are right next to each other. So you can press caps lock real quick, pull out your knife, press shift, boom, you're out of there. Uh, prioritize finishing move, totally up to you. Personal preference. Equipment behavior set to hold. Combat advance setting. Make sure weapon mount exit is set to instant. It It's set to delay for some reason. I have tap reload. I do not auto switch my weapons. And manual fire behavior is set to press. If you set it to hold, it will fire slow. So you can set it to hold, but it'll like pop pop. Press will allow you to press and pop as fast as you can. A Kimbo set to independent mode specific overlays. I don't have anything set there. Overlay advanced settings, everything is all set as you can see here. And that, ladies and gentlemen, wraps up our mouse and key settings.
