3 Simple Steps To Become A LinkedIn Lead Machine

I get hundreds of inbound leads, get thousands of new followers, and generate multiple six figures—all using LinkedIn. Over the last few years, I've spoken to hundreds of entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals who all shared a single common problem: getting leads. They were spending way too much time doing cold outreach, getting stressed about follower growth, and overcomplicating their content strategy. They couldn't get one lead, let alone hundreds of them every single month. So, in this video, I'm going to teach you the three key steps that turned my business and personal brand into a lead generation machine in just under 12 months, without spending a single penny on ads or sending cold outreach DMs. And if you stick till the end of this video, you'll understand exactly how to get leads and even grow your followers faster.

Now, the first thing to mention is that every single day, people are Googling ways to get more leads or gain social media followers. The common answer they find? Give free value daily. The truth is, this advice is basic, but it's also true. The most successful entrepreneurs and businesses have been doing this for decades. Just think about the last few pieces of content you've intentionally watched or read in order to support your business. All these entrepreneurs and businesses are using free value as a way to get rich, and here's exactly how you can do it too, even if you're starting from scratch.

Now, I normally charge clients for this information, but I'm going to give it to you for free. I've spent way too many hours researching the best social media group gurus, the hottest newsletters, and the best strategies from the top 1% of entrepreneurs, and what I found blew my mind. Now listen, this is not the sexiest tactic, but it most certainly works. See, the single reason you're watching this video is because I'm giving you a solution to a problem: you want more leads, and I can teach you how. But in order for you to get the free information you want, you need to click and watch my video. There is a promise to solve one single thing out of the many social media and business questions you have, and this is technically what a lead magnet does. I know that over time, or even in the next 24 hours, I will get leads from the free value I'm providing right now. Every single time I post anything on social media, I get at least one high-value inquiry on my services.

So, step number one to become a lead generation machine is to identify one burning problem you know your prospect has, so you can build your lead magnet. For example, if you're an online fitness coach, your target audience struggles with understanding how to eat, what types of exercise to do, how long they should work, etc. Now you can provide your audience with a free 8-week workout program they can download as a PDF, or like as a document, even a Notion website. A high percentage of people will be interested in it because, one, it's free, and two, it solves a burning problem. Here's a catch: if your lead magnet is extraordinary, and only then, they will trust and like you and your product. And by fixing that one problem, you're introducing them into a new set of problems. Now they have to fix their diet, understand the macros, track their sleep, progressive overload, etc. But since you fix that one single problem, a good percentage of these people are more inclined to buy your actual offer that contains the solutions to all these new problems you just introduced them to. So that one piece of free value results in 2, 3, 5, and 100x returns. And the best part is that the percentage that didn't buy at least gave you their email, followed you, or gave you some sort of exchange in order for you to give them the lead magnet. So now they can see your future updates and offers. When you get them to opt into your lead magnet, you most likely gain their trust, and if they see the benefit from your free resource, then you've earned their support. This, in the long term, is actually equally or even more valuable than the instant leads themselves, because their support compounds and may increase your value in terms of engagement, brand awareness, and loyalty.

So, to make this work for you, list 10 different problems your ideal client has and how you solve each and every single one of them. Find the problem, write the solution; find the problem, write the solution; find the problem, write the solution. You get the gist. For example, for me and my personal branding agency on LinkedIn, the problems were: how to write content, how to get more leads, how to grow a following, how to optimize my profile, how to set up a system, how to stand out, how to get more engagement, what pictures should I use, and so on. So every piece of my content, lead magnets, or even live stream would be solving one of those in extensive detail. You need to do the same. Don't just solve a problem; solve a very specific problem fully.

Now, step number two to become a lead generation machine is to actually build a lead magnet. Over the last year, I've actually built my lead magnets with my favorite app, Notion, who I also partnered with in this video to show you how easy it is to build them on their platform. And here's the exact framework I used to build them every single time. The first step is finding all the questions your potential and ideal audience may have about your services or products. The second thing is getting those questions and answering them to a ridiculous detail, so they feel like you read their mind. I did this for me, and 5% of people who downloaded my lead magnets convert to my higher-ticket programs, and the other 95% is now on my email list or are at least following me. And those who didn't buy at least give me case studies and good testimonials about the lead magnet working for them, which then adds to my marketing flywheel because they promote me and my systems and my frameworks. Now, Notion just introduced Notion websites, which is a game changer for this exact strategy. Let me show you exactly how I built several of my lead magnets to get more leads and followers on Notion. Here you can see my Notion already built out. I built it in under 10 minutes, and it's easier than ever to share it. You add your headline, resources, and whatever other tools you want. The usual problem with lead magnets, in my opinion, is that they look like you just put them together rushed, and there is no actual value or clarity. With Notion, there is a more personalized feel, as people can actually interact with the resource. So, for this particular resource, I had one main goal: solving the barrier to entry to LinkedIn, breaking down the main problems people encounter, and solving them step by step. Now, Notion is very, very simple to use when you get the hang of it, and if you still aren't sure about what to do or write about, you can use Notion AI to brainstorm ideas, proofread, and summarize. Now, with Notion websites, which is the star of the show, you can publish this straight into the web and even connect it to your own domain, customize the site from light to dark mode, and change your favicon, which makes it so customizable and also a complete new website for you. These are all the tools that elevate the quality of your lead magnet, and for long-term branding, this is gold. Usually, after creating this, I get my audience's email or get them to follow me so they can receive the full website with access to the insane resources, and I'll also link the website I just made below so you can take inspiration or even create your own with Notion.

Okay, now that you've seen exactly how to build your free lead magnet and even use Notion as a tool in literally no time, I'm going to show you my favorite part: creating the desire and curiosity for it, so a bunch of people want it and give you their email or follow you, or whatever the trade between you and the free lead magnet is. But before I tell you the secret sauce between average and pro promotion, if you're if you're enjoying this video, please drop a like and subscribe to my channel so I can feel good about scripting these 5-minute videos for 10 hours. Okay, nine. Listen, I'm a slow learner. Okay, I also get distracted sometimes.

Now, the third step to become a lead generation machine is to market like a pro, and this begins with understanding how to drive curiosity and desire. Let me show you a few examples. For this specific lead magnet we just built, I posted this post on LinkedIn, providing insight as to what they would be receiving from downloading this resource. I also gave incomplete information, so people want to get the full thing, and most importantly, I added scarcity. I rarely do this in normal posts; lead magnets and offers are my only exception. Now, I won't get into too much detail about psychology or marketing and cognitive bias, but if you do want to learn more about it, start by reading *Influence* by Robert Cialdini. It may or may not be one of my favorite books, but I rarely talk about it though. But what I'm going to do is I'm going to give you a brief overlook of the three powerful biases I used to promote this. The first one is scarcity bias: I added a time frame in which the free resource was available. The second one was anchoring bias: I stated how much money people have paid me for this type of information. The third one was the halo effect: I stated how one thing helped me get their ideal result, so it could work for them too. And as a bonus, I added a visual element to it, which provides more context, increases the perceived value, and it adds a better feel without me needing to mention anything else. It almost makes it look luxurious or like an actual tangible product, which is what you want. And as a reward for opting in to my newsletter, following me, messaging me—whatever the trade-off was—again, they received the lead magnet for free. If you do these three steps consistently, alongside building your personal brand through consistent and valuable content alongside your lead magnet, you'll stop being one of the many and start becoming the only. Make your free stuff as good as people's paid stuff, and make your paid stuff two to 10 times better than anyone's paid stuff. Get more leads, get more followers, and build your personal brand as a result. Lead magnets are honestly my favorite; Notion makes them so easy to make, and understanding basic marketing and cognitive biases makes them so easy to distribute. And keep in mind that information has become a commodity, so if you're afraid of giving something away for free, just know that your competition probably is. Clients buy the implementation, not just a solution. That said, aside from offering free content and becoming a trusted voice in your community, there is one thing that is going to make it much easier to convert leads once you've attracted them. So check out this video where I break down my LinkedIn hack that helped me convert leads on automatic without even having a website. See you then.
