We begin with Allah's blessed name. We praise him and we glorify him as he ought to be praised and glorified. And we pray for peace and for blessings on all his noble messengers, including the last of them all, the blessed prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. As we greet you on this, the 14th day of the month of Shawal in the year 1446 AH, it's a special day because tonight is a night of the full moon, and the night of the full moon is a gentle night. It's a beautiful night with moonlight.
But unfortunately, I have heavy topics to talk about. Yes. Because I'm hearing things about myself that are false. I'm hearing that, oh, Iran Hussein said that Jesus was crucified. I said, "What?" I didn't know that. Yes. So, so it is necessary for me, while I'm still alive, to correct the record that falsehood is being attributed to me; and when I am no longer in this world, it's for you to do that for me, to correct things which are being said about me which is false.
Anyone who declares the Quran is the word of God, any Muslim who accepts that the Quran is the word of God and declares that Jesus was crucified is a kafir. If a Christian says or a Jew says that Jesus was crucified, well, nothing surprising about that. No, because Allah says in the Quran, Allah says, "I made it appear like that." I made it appear like that. So if a Christian believes that he was crucified, if a Jew believes that he was crucified, nothing surprising about that. However, if a Muslim who accepts the Quran to be the word of God, if he says that Jesus was crucified, that man is a kafir. So, is it possible that I would say that he was crucified? No.
What I would do is to take the Quran, with wisdom, gently to the Christian, to the Jew, and try to impress upon that Christian what does the Quran say about the subject, and the Quran says, prophesying that there would be people from amongst the—meaning Christians and Jews—who will accept the Quran to be the word of God; and when they accept the Quran—and that is already happening now—because I don't go with boxing gloves when I go to the Christian and to the Jew, I don't do that when I go to them, I go with wisdom to gently take the Quran to them and tell them what is in the Quran, confident that amongst them there will be those who eventually will accept the Quran to be the word of God. When they accept the Quran to be the word of God, then the Quran itself will change their hearts. I don't have to do that. So don't expect me to be engaged in this boxing match to change the view of the Christian and the Jew on this subject. Let the Quran do that. Let the Quran do that. I'm not a fool.
So now then, how can you say that I have said that he was crucified when Allah says he was not? What does the Quran say? I know that I have explained this subject a 100,000 times already, and some of you will be fed up. We've heard it already, but what can I do when there are others who have only—excuse me—only peanuts in their heads, no matter how many times I explain it, they will still not understand; and even this time when I explain it, still they will not understand. Maybe it's a curse upon them that they will never understand. You can talk and talk and they will never understand.
Does he not know what's going to happen? No. And Allah speaks to him at that time when they want to crucify him. And Allah speaks to him, and that conversation is recorded in the Quran. In Surah Al-… In Allah says, "They did not kill him." In Allah says, "They did not crucify him." In Surah… Allah says, "But I made it appear like that." Let me explain what it says. I made it appear that he was crucified when he was not. I made it appear that he was crucified when he was not. Forgive me for having to repeat it for these dum-dums. Forgive me. I made it appear that he was crucified when he was not.
So what did Allah do to make it appear that he was crucified when he was not? What did Allah do to make it appear that he was crucified when he was not? How many times must I repeat it? You must be crying for me now. Sad that I have to keep on repeating and repeating and repeating for a people who lack understanding. So does not know what is going to happen, and Allah speaks to him, and this is—and this is what Allah says and it is recorded in the Quran—is first person singular. "Oh Jesus, Oh, I am going to take you." Take what? This is an event in which there is going to be the appearance of crucifixion and therefore the appearance of death. So when I'm going to take you, what is Allah taking? This is the question. I'm going to take you. So what is Allah taking? Wa is to take the soul at the time of death. That is—and this is the dua that we recite in the salah of the funeral prayer—"And whomever you cause to die, grant that he might die in a state of faith." So at the time of death is to take the soul. So let us get the proof from the Quran. When Allah says, "I'm going to take you," what is Allah talking about? I don't want to hear your view. I want to know what the Quran says. Let the Quran explain the Quran. Let the Quran explain the Quran. It's so difficult to be a teacher today. So difficult. Yet there are those who can understand so quickly. Yes. So quickly they can understand, and there are others you can try and try and try, they will never understand. Oh yes.
So we go to Surah… You have to study the Quran the way you study the stars. That is what Allah says in… You must study the Quran the way you study the stars. You have to see how stars are connected with each other to read the sky. You have to see how verses of the Quran are connected to each other to understand the Quran. And [Music] in this is what Allah says. And I tell you, I can explain this verse a 100,000 times, and there are those who still will not understand it. They don't understand it as though there's a curse upon them. They can never understand. So sad. This is the verse which explains infat. Allah takes the soul at the time of death. Did you hear that? Allah takes the soul at the time of death. Question, question. When Allah takes a soul, does it always constitute death? Did you hear that? [Applause] Question? When Allah takes a soul, does that always constitute death? No, says the Quran. But these dum-dums don't understand. No, says the Quran, but they are those souls which Allah takes which most certainly—look at the language—most certainly do not experience death. What could be plainer than that? And these dum-dums still would not understand. Allah takes their souls while they are asleep. Then what happens when Allah takes their soul while they are asleep? For those for whom death is written, Allah keeps the soul. But what about the others? What about the others? Someone whose soul Allah takes, but that is not written for him. They did not kill him. They did not crucify him. They did not kill him. They did not crucify him. Allah takes his soul, but that is not written for him. Allah keeps the soul for whom that is written. But for the others whose soul—whose souls—whose souls Allah has taken, but for whom death has not been written, Allah returns the soul for a determined period of time.
So now then we can explain the correct language, the adequate language. When Allah said to Jesus, in the proper way to explain that verse, "I am going to take your soul." That is the Quran. That is the Quran. That is the Quran. You can't divide the Quran. Be careful. I am going to take your soul. Why did Allah take his soul when he is not going to die? He's not going to be crucified. No, he will not die. He will not be crucified. So why did Allah take his soul when he will not die? He will not be crucified? Answer: simple. Allah took his soul to make it appear that he was crucified. Is that so difficult to understand? You must be feeling sad for me in my old age. I have to repeat it a 100,000 times and yet they will not understand. Allah took his soul to make it appear that he was crucified when he was not. Allah took his soul to make it appear that he was crucified when he was not. You want me to repeat that a thousand times? Allah took his soul to make it appear that he was crucified when he was not. So if people believe that he was crucified, that's normal because that's what Allah intended them to believe. And when they took his body down and they put wherever it was, Allah returned the soul to him because that was not yet written for him. All that Allah wanted to do was to make it appear that he was crucified. He was not. And then Allah raised him unto himself. So he was never crucified. He never died. But if a Christian believes he was crucified, what's wrong with that? That's what Allah intended him to believe. If a Jew believes he was crucified, what's wrong with that? That's what Allah intended him to believe. But no, Allah made it appear that he was crucified when he was not. And this is how Allah made it appear that he was crucified. Allah took his soul and Allah returned his soul and then Allah raised him unto himself. Allah took his soul and Allah returned his soul and Allah raised him unto himself.
Let me say it for the last time. Allah took his soul. That is in the Quran. Allah returned his soul because death was not written for him, and Allah then raised him unto himself. That is the explanation in the Quran of the crucifixion. So do not say of me this falsehood that I have ever said that he was crucified. No, no Muslim can say that. A Christian can say it, a Jew can say it, but not a Muslim. But Allah has also said in the Quran that he—this is in Ali as well, the second to last verse—but amongst the Jews and amongst the Christians, they are those who have faith in Allah. And there are Jews and Christians who will believe that the Quran is the word of God. So it makes more sense to put away your boxing gloves, your stupid boxing gloves, and go to the Christian and go to the Jew with wisdom and speak gently to them and let them—let them see the evidence that the Quran is the word of God. And when that enters into their hearts, as it is happening now, and they accept the Quran to be the word of God, then wait, wait, wait until the Quran itself changes their hearts and they will one day be cleansed of this false belief which Allah intended that they should have, because I made it appear that he was crucified. So don't blame them. Don't blame them. Don't blame them if they believe he was crucified. Don't blame them because that's what Allah intended. Only the—the only way they will change their view is if they accept the Quran to be the word of God. And they will only accept the Quran to be the word of God if you invite them to the Quran with wisdom, and that is what I'm doing. Thank you.
