How can you tell if your ex is going to forget about you in no contact, or if absence is going to make the heart go far? I've been doing this for several years now, and before that, a dating coach for a long time. So, I'm in, uh, I'm pretty much interwoven into this world of attraction and all that tends to happen. Okay?
And you are grossly underestimating your value to your ex. If you think they're just going to forget about you, I'm telling you, I'm telling you, you're not in touch with reality. You have to understand that, like, people's archetype of what they're looking for in terms of body type, personality, etc., etc. This is a very specific thing, and it takes a while to find somebody that fits that mold. Usually takes about a year of active dating, um, to find somebody that fits that mold.
Now, if your ex ran off and found a rebound or something like that, yeah, they're going to be temporarily distracted. They're not going to seem like they're interested in you at all. And that's going to last for a honeymoon phase, which is three to six months. And even if they didn't find somebody new, a lot of exes will make it seem like they've totally forgot about you and they're living their best life. And that's about a three-month phase. So, you're underestimating your value to your ex because of the circumstances.
But the thing that you can't see is that this is a temporary thing. So, when there's some inherent value that you can offer to your ex, companionship, sex, uh, intellectual stimulation, etc., right? And you, you take this away, the value goes up. Like if all you are is, and then we just like put on a really high shelf and we rack the price up to like $10,000. It's like $10,000. Yeah, most people aren't going to want the $10,000, although they do make certain brands of coffee with really expensive bat. But, uh, the point is, it's like, yeah, you have to have some value, okay? And then when you take it away, the value rises because it's harder to get. But if you had no value, yeah, your ex might forget about you, right?
But there are very few circum. I'm telling you, I do calls all day. I talk to a lot of people. I know everybody's circumstances. There are very few situations where the person has no value to offer to their ex. So that's what makes the difference. Okay?
And your problem is that you're going to underestimate your value. You are a source of comfort. You are a source of sex. You might be financial security. You're a source of companionship. There's so many things that you can offer to your ex, even above their friends and family. Think about it, like their friends and family are talking on you or whatever. You stand to provide so much more value than their friends and family. You are such of value to their lives at the point where they can care about it. And so, you're going to have to wait out this time where they're closed off. And during that time, guess what? Your value is going to rise.
