I'm MPs, as we all know. Last week, there was a huge mega trade in the NBA that took place between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics, involving the superstar guard Kyrie Irving in a trade for Isiah Thomas, J. Crowder, a draft pick, and a role player. So, let's see what they have to say about it. Of course, I'm going to chime in.
And Jae Crowder and Brooklyn's 2018 first-round pick. A Kyrie move has been talked about since he reportedly requested a trade from Cleveland last month. LeBron tweeted afterwards, "Nothing but respect and what a ride it was." Let's take a listen to Celtics president Danny Ainge on the big move.
"Obviously, it's been a rollercoaster of a day for us. Trading away [inaudible] and J. & Conte, especially Isiah and James, have been such a big part of our team and our success and our Celtic culture as leaders of our team. Very, very difficult day. And it wasn't that difficult, or you wouldn't make the damn trade. Just cut the [ __ ] up. At the same time, you know, a very exciting time for one of the best offensive players in the league. It is a high price tag, you know, acquiring a 25-year-old perennial All-Star, a player that fits a timeline for us, and is a fantastic offensive player, one of the best offensive players in the league."
Yeah, and pay very close attention to what Danny Ainge said. He said, "a player that fits a timeline for us." They want their team to be mature, fully matured in a couple of years. Kyrie Irving is going on 25. Isiah Thomas is going on 30. So, I mean, it's... I mean, and on top of that, we all know that Kyrie Irving is a much better player than Isiah Thomas. Isiah Thomas is very impactful, he's very good, but Kyrie Irving is just overall better. So, I believe both teams improve, but, you know, let's see what they have to say. LeBron did.
[Music]
The Cavaliers won the trade because they are operating from a position of weakness. Think about this: it was known that Kyrie did not want to play any longer in Cleveland, and he voiced his displeasure, saying, "I do not want to play alongside LeBron," or "I want to get out of his shadow." So now, Cleveland really doesn't have a choice. They have to move him. Everybody... well, I wasn't... what were you saying last week? You were saying that they didn't have to move him. All right, I was the one who said that they had to move him. You know why they had to move him? Because Kyrie Irving is the type of guy who will retire. All right, Kyrie, I did not see him being as the type of guy who's just gonna come back and play with Cleveland this coming season. I believe that he let the owner, Dan Gilbert, know, "Look, we can do this the easy way, we can do this the hard way. It's up to you. Trade Kyrie." And you notice what Danny Ainge kept saying? He's a tremendous offensive player. He's a tremendous offensive player.
Damage? They just play offense, though. I mean, I thought basketball, you play both ways. Yes. Well, that's what makes the trade so easy is because Isiah Thomas is also just a tremendous offensive player, except Kyrie Irving is better. I will let you have your time. This is my time to shine. The Cavaliers won this trade because you get... you swap Isiah for Kyrie. You get a defensive player and Crowder. But the most important thing, you get the Brooklyn Nets unprotected first-round pick in the 2018 draft. Now, that was a pick that then Ainge was unwilling to relent to get Paul George. Duh. To get Jimmy Butler. Duh. But he won't carry weight because the guy like Kyrie is much harder to find than a guy like a Jimmy Butler or Paul George. Even as, as great as those two young players are, um, a guy like Kyrie who has championship-level experience and is a bona fide superstar, especially in clutch moments, you can't pass that up. And then on top of that, they let him go with Jae Crowder when they just brought in the kid from Utah, whatever his name is. You still got the... you still got Kevin Love. You bring in Isaiah. Look, scared. You keep their back. You tell my will, I feel the tremendous offensive web. Amino carry the Truman going Hayward. That's how it is. Gordon Hayward. Burma's offensive weapon. He was second-team All-NBA. Oh, and that the same guy he was called UNK all last season. Now, all of a sudden, you... you all know Isiah Thomas is bandwagon. That please. Who the hell is Isaiah Thomas gonna guard? Shannon, you're talking about Kyrie Irving. I saw Kyrie when he wanted to guard, he could guard. Isaiah Thomas can't guard whether he wants to or not. So now, not only do you get an offensive weapon to replace Kyrie, you get a defensive guy, and you get some dip. That was the most important thing because if you remember last year, you watched the finals. Yeah, man, they had the corpsmen bride out there. Darrell Williams, you know, stake it up to join. I thought you loved office gift. I didn't like it. I loved it. Sometimes people get mad, they love birthday, man. They did 52 days later. Kim Kardashian. Yeah, he was gay. He did. He changed it for the other team. As soon as he came coming the game, you know what was happening? Skip, considering that the Cavaliers really had no strength, everybody knew Kyrie wanted to go, and they didn't get bleached like the Indiana Pacers. Because they like this kid. Indiana Pacers gave up Paul George, who is a legit player, he's a top 15 player, and you get back Victor Oladipo and Sabonis with no draft pick. At least the Cavaliers, from a position of weakness, it's like you be the hostage, you negotiate with the hostage, the guy that's holding you hostage, and he ends up giving you a ransom. What the [ __ ] is Shannon talking about? Look, now, both teams definitely want to trade. Cleveland won the trade because they know that LeBron is leaving. As I've been saying for the longest time, date is now becoming very close apparent that he is gonna leave for LA, and at least now they're gonna have that unprotected traffic. I mean, they also will have Isaiah Thomas. I believe it has two more years left on his contract, so, you know, they have them for next year, and then maybe even a year after that. Or while the rookie develops, they'll have J. Crowder there. And then, you know, when Isaiah Thomas's contract expires, they can either choose to resign him or they can check the free agent market and see if they can pull anybody in. But both teams pretty much won because Dan Gilbert knows that both of his superstars want out, and deep down, I don't think he minds because he already brought to Cleveland what he wanted to bring to Cleveland, that being a championship. So now he'll probably sell the team in a couple of years and probably for double the price that that was worth when he bought it. So the Cavaliers won this pick. And Vegas, and guess what? They give you love. Vegas, you're the oddsmakers. Cavaliers are still four to one. You know why? They're still four to one to do what? Win the championship. We'll get there and get the ass. Once again, big piece of sexual chocolate. The team that guy's been on, if they've done with Skip, they've been the Eastern Conference representative. It would scale. What does that even mean? Em, yes, that's like saying for four straight Olympic silver medal. Now he just flat-out scared. Skip is on troll mode. Yes, LeBron is scared. LeBron understands that this is a throwaway season. They're not winning a championship this year. He knows that unless a whole bunch of breaks go their way, they have no chance of winning the championship. So LeBron is going to do what he does best. He's gonna make this season all about him. All right, that's what he does best. So right now, Kyrie exiting will give LeBron an excuse to try to go ham during the regular season. He will try to incorporate Isiah Thomas, but there won't be the pressure on him to incorporate Isiah like there was Kyrie. But I mean, we'll see. Who knows? Isiah Thomas has shown some alpha male traits in the past. He may come onto the scene and tell LeBron, "Look, I'm no chicken dinner. I need my, I need my shots too." So you're saying we, Cleveland won the trade from a position of weakness? So cancellation is pretty much, that's pretty much what it comes down to. But I agree. I mean, it was a very good trade. They got, they got a lot for Kyrie. There, of course, it would have been better had they've been able to execute that Paul George trade for Kyrie where they would have gotten back Eric, Eric Gordon as well. Part of me, not Eric Gordon, the cat from Phoenix, the point guard from Phoenix. The same amount of assists. He was second All-NBA. Yeah. I was fifth in the MVP voting. Yeah. We gave up a guy, they, Kyrie, we know he's an offensive juggernaut. He can hold the ball good at the rim with either hand. But still, considering that we had, do you had to move him, and everybody knows you have to move him. So they'll are offering exactly. Skippers bringing up what I brought up last week. Shannon was saying that you, you haven't fully under control. Now you're saying that you had to move him. Which one is it, Shannon? Or are you just, you know, desperate to protect your boo and his legacy? Look, at the end of the day, like I've already stated, I believe that Kyrie told, you know, Dan Gilbert, "Look, you can either trade me, or I will sit out this season. It's up to you." My arc. The Boston Celtics won this trade. Just the way they're going to win the Eastern Conference next year. And yes, I put a case to do all that right here, right now. I believe that they didn't want to trade. The trade long term. I believe that Boston did win the trade long term, especially if they can get Kyrie to sign an extension. This was an historic acquisition, and I'm not sure it's sinking into people's minds quite yet. I'm gonna try to sink it a little deeper, just how historic this was. Do you know how exceedingly rare it is in the National Basketball Association's history that a player in his prime is actually available by a trade in his prime by trade? I agree. I mean, you're talking about guys like Charles Barkley, Moses Malone. There's not many guys who changed teams in NBA history at the peak of their powers. One thing with Kyrie is that he has been injury-prone. So hopefully he can avoid major injuries once he gets to Boston. Listen, oh, you think Curry, man, as well? Kareem got traded at his at the peak of his career. Happens. You have to pull out every stop. You have to do everything in your power to go get said player, especially when he's, in my view, a top-five player. We know he's not top five. Wilt Chamberlain also was traded at his peak. Dr. J. Well, I mean, he really was an acquisition from the CBA, but I mean, he pretty much was a trade. But, um, no, Kyrie is not a top-five player in the NBA. I give him maybe top ten, maybe top ten. KD, Kawhi, LeBron. Once you said, once you're not bad. LeBron first delivers. Luck. Oh, I can't believe that [ __ ]. I thought he hears that the man is put in LeBron number one, two, three, four, and five. I'll give you Steph, four. And then five is debatable between those three guards. Is it Westbrook? Is it Harden? Or is it Kyrie? I'm gonna go Kyrie on just clutchless because he, you know, that's that's actually a reasonable point. Let's skip to put Kyrie over over Russ and Harden due to the clutchness. That, I mean, that that's something that has to be considered because Harden and, um, and Westbrook are not clutch players at all. Not in big spots. Absolutely not. I don't care what regular season clutch time stats say. Was the Cavs closer? And he's the best closer in basketball. And I'll take that as the fifth best player in the league. And the Boston Celtics, Cleveland's number-one rival in the East, just acquired Kyrie Irving. Not just in front. He's just barely entering his prime at age 25. Well, it depends on it depends on how old he is when he starts to fall off. You know, we really only know when a player's prime is after his career is over. We could look at Kyrie and say right now, he's in, he's in his athletic prime. But, um, hopefully his body holds up. This never happened. The last time there was a trade of this magnitude, you'd have to go back to Melo leaving Denver being traded to New York. Melo was 26, but he didn't exactly have superstar impact on the New York Knicks. Exactly. That's why I wouldn't put him in that class. I would say the last, the last huge trade, like a trade of that magnitude, I mean, I guess you could say Shaq, but Shaq what really wasn't in his prime anymore when he got traded to him, when he got traded to Miami. But I mean, really, you know, going back, our process, the last really big superstar trade was probably Barkley's when he got traded to the to the Suns from Philadelphia. That's just off bless us. That's just off the top of my head. Okay, so I think this is going to have more impact on Boston than Melo had on New York. And if you want to go all the way back to the, the biggest trade in NBA history, you'd have to go back to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, go look from the Bucks to the Lakers. And it was, it was the same circumstance. Kareem told him, "I'm out, man. I'm not gonna stay here. I don't want to re-sign here. I got a year to go on my contract. Just get me out of here." And they basically, the Bucks get traded Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to the Los Angeles Lakers. Kareem had a lot of issue during that time in the early '70s. He was going through a certain stage in his life where, well, he just didn't want to be bothered with anybody. He was busy studying under a fundamentalist Islamic group that later was associated with terrorist acts. And after that, that really put a, that really sullied his name in the media. He went into a little bit of a depression, and then he ended up demanding a trade from Milwaukee. So, I mean, it ended up working out for him in the long run. Crowder's, that's basically what it was. Okay, so that's magnitude. Now, that was historic. Yeah, this will turn out to be historic. So in return, let's put this into perspective. The Cavs got back an on-ball dominant, dominant play guard who's a defensive liability because he's only five feet nine inches tall. So let's get this straight. Kyrie is six feet three inches tall, and when Kyrie wants to play defense, so he decides, which we see do a final against Steph Curry. Absolutely agree. Kyrie has shown many times that when he wants to play defense, he can. And when he wants to make big plays on defense, he can. Isaiah Thomas has never shown any of that. He's just too small. He can't guard anybody. He can do it when he feels like it. He doesn't always focus on that part of his game, but he is highly capable. The five-nine guy is just simply not capable because he's just too little. I don't think he has a lot of desire to play defense anyway. I agree. I don't think he even really wants to play defense. And I think in this game that they play in Boston, they allow him to not have to play defense. I think that their scheme is modeled a lot after these 76ers with Allen Iverson under Larry Brown. Just go get your buckets, help out on defense when you can, play the passing lanes, and the rest of our guys will just do. Once again, that is consistent with their style of offense with, like I've stated, I believe is based off of the Larry Brown, Allen Iverson model. Same way he did with Kyrie. Take his ass in the back locker room and say, "Look, this is how much I want the ball. That's how much you're gonna get the ball. You don't like it? Well, [ __ ] won't you buy that Greyhound bus ticket and take your ass home, back where you came from?" You know, Kyrie is basically a good guy. I think he deferred. I think he really said, "Okay." I don't think Kyrie deferred. I think that Kyrie was basically forced to acquiesce a certain amount of power to LeBron because to not do so would have caused so much, some so many fractures in the team that everything would have came down on him. I think that he was basically, uh, he's basically hit over the head with the LeBron acquisition when he, when he thought that the 2014-15 season would be the first season that they made the playoffs under his leadership, and he basically was forced to take a backseat. I mean, what was he going to do? Tell a guy who had made it so to like, what, four straight finals? "No, I'm not going to do that." Of course, he had to do it. No longer a Cavalier. Isaiah has been used to running the show in Boston, and I think there's gonna be a little clash of egos and wills there. The meal, no more so than what happened with Kyrie was there. By the way, I said Thomas, if memory serves, is coming off a very serious hip injury. Chose not to have surgery. And the shock of shocks to me yesterday was I saw a quote from a source inside the Cavs on espn.com who said, "We're eager for our doctors to take a look at Isaiah's hip." You're eager to take a look? You didn't look? They don't even know what they got. No, no, they know what they got. They got somebody that they could put in the newspaper and say, "Look, this guy, every 28 points a game last year, this is who we got for Kyrie." You know, there are certain things that Kyrie can do that he can't do, but he's going to be a, a half-decent replacement on the defensive side. We got Jae Crowder to spell LeBron, so that's pretty much, that's pretty much I've been looking at it. Once again, they had to pull this trip. They had to pull the trigger on this deal. All right, they could not afford to have Kyrie sit out the season. Monday, we don't expect our there to be ready for camp. You sure about his hip? With a bra? Are you sure? Don't be looking in the camera talking to my man like that. We know exactly what the hell is gonna happen. No, we bring in Isiah Thomas. You know, he couldn't beat a mascot with a scare plea. You know, just sit your little ass over there and Shaunie's basketball, do whatever the hell you do. You know, LeBron will carry the torch like he'd been knowing for the last 20 years for basketball. When I was there, Thomas's healthy, he can come in, he can stand his ass right there in the corner, wait for LeBron to kick out for three. That's what he can do. Talk about LeBron for next year. So he's got a big X-factor at the point guard. He got back a nice player, Jae Crowder. I like Jae Crowder. 14 points in 60 average last year, not bad, and he will defend. Yeah, but he's not gonna put up those type of numbers this year. LeBron is not gonna let him. His job is gonna be to guard all the top small forwards in the NBA, whether it be Melo, KD. They'll put him on James Harden when they need to. You know, they'll use Jae Crowder basically to spell LeBron and also to spell Jr. if Jr.'s getting torched, but mostly this brought to spell LeBron on defense. Why is that? Because Braun's fault? No, no. They're operating from a position of weakness because because Kyrie has told him that he's not going to play either way. He's not going to play for them. All right, and I'm not going off of any information I've heard. I'm just going off of what I observe. Just observing his character and his personality, he just comes off that way to me. That's the only reason why it would be so imperative for them to trade him. Shannon Sharpe might know something because last week he was running his mouth talking about how Kyrie did not have the power. If they, if the Cleveland Cavaliers wanted to, they could make him play. Now, all of a sudden, he's talking about how they had to pull the trigger. Maybe he heard something from LeBron? Who knows? Maybe he has some type of inside source with the Cavaliers, but he knows a little.
I don't think that makes a difference, Skip. I think that Kyrie wanted out, and I think he was tired of being around that whole energy. I think that Kyrie realized, "They are never going to beat Golden State. I might as well go for my own team and win 45 to 50 games on my own and be the leader, rather than play here and win 50, you know, 50 to 53 games and have to deal with this guy and it's theatrical female [ __ ] all season, then get to the finals and lose anyway." Anyway, Gilbert, you say, "I got a choice. I gotta go one direction where they've got a pick that I want." And the only team that has a pick that I want is my number one rival, the team that won the most games this past year in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics, have an unprotected high number one pick. Yep. Longer Brooklyn. Yeah, it could be. It could be that Marvin bag, like you don't, you don't number one recruiting. What to do? Yeah, I don't know. It was the guy that went to Missouri. Yeah, like he transferred. You're going to watch me. My love. So it could be a good player. Could not be them. You don't know. But it's, you got a potential to have a top five. And then it's up to the lottery. Right. Right. Okay, so I get that. But that's not going to help LeBron if, in fact, he's going to Los Angeles. It doesn't matter, Skip. Cleveland's not thinking about LeBron. They can't do anything about LeBron. All they can do is prepare for the future. If LA Bron does not want to sign a long-term contract, they cannot make decisions predicated off of what LeBron is going to do or not do right now. You know, it is how he wanted it. The powers in his hands. They have to make decisions outside of thinking about whether he'll be back. Right now, they have to make decisions believing that he's not coming back. Cause next year, all he got was the X-factor point guard. He was five feet nine, ball-dominant, defensive liability with a bad hip, and Jae Crowder. And CZ and I was easy Croatian kid, 6'11", but he hasn't played a one-dribble in the NBA yet. So I don't know what he is. A project. I don't know. Is it gonna help LeBron next year? I think not. But can you say Isaiah Thomas is ball-dominant? What was Kyrie before LeBron came back? He was a baby. I asked a question. See, was he bald-dominant? General on a bad team? Use ball-dominant? But my point is, I said, "Well, [ __ ], he was on the team, so he's a bad play on a bad game." Are you always got to try to chain two arguments? No, [ __ ]. I say it to your point. He had lots of success. He's enjoyed for a long period of time being the man in Boston. It's not gonna be that easy for him to say, "Oh, wait a second. By the way, after one year, after next year, he's free." And what does he already said? "You better back up the Brinks truck," said Isiah Thomas. Are you really? That's exactly why they traded his ass. Look, I don't blame Isiah Thomas. I don't begrudge him wanting his money, but he's not gonna lead anybody anywhere. He's just not. I mean, I get it. You think that you're the new Allen Iverson. First off, you're not. But number two, anybody who opens up the Brinks truck for him is going to regret it. It was Kyrie requesting to be traded. So once he requested to be traded, let it be known that he no longer wanted to play with LeBron James. LeBron is not going anywhere. I don't care. LeBron had two months on his contract. They would rather get rid of Kyrie, who has two years plus with Austin, which is three years. They get rid of LeBron with two months. Okay, so it goes to show, bottom line with Shannon Sharpe. Yeah, Cleveland got a little worse. Get it, ride? This is a Shannon James Sharpe because they lost Kyrie Irving, and Boston got a lot better because they got Kyrie Irving. You got to boil it down to that. You can't disagree with that premise. They clean better, right? Now, no, there's no. You wanna ask me a question? An asset. And nobody asks you to answer the question for me. Yeah, I do believe we better. I believe we better because we've got that cancer out of the damn locker room now. With the cancer, you talk, you talk like Gordon Hayward is like that. Al Horford was 41st in rebounding, and they're 6'11" power forward. Yeah, but you know what? That's not really his role, isn't it? That's not his role to get a whole bunch of rebounds. I mean, his job pretty much is to, is to stay on the outside, you know, pick and pop player, hit mid-range shots. He can rebound when he, when he wants to, when he needs to, but no, he's not a great rebounder. I mean, that that mostly was the job of Olynyk, who I believe that they're gonna miss this year. And Boston, they're gonna miss Olynyk. Thank you. This, you got, he's not bad. I never said he was great, but he's not bad. Okay. Yeah, I'll offer it in the post, and then you've got a combination of Marla's Morris, Marcus Morris is probably gonna be your power forward, but you got those kids, Jalen Brown or Jason Tatum. They're really talented kids who might just, especially Jane the Brown is coming in with all Jason. Well, we have to see how much Jalen Brown has developed. He didn't really impress me last year. He didn't impress me at all. But Tatum has a, you know, he has some good things that, you know, can they improve? Well, we'll see. Talented five or six players. You still got Marcus Smart, Terry Rozier, and my guy, Aaron Bates from San Antonio, coming off the bench. That's just a better team than LeBron Scott. Now, yeah, so Irene, it's a Celtic. Well, yeah, but Kyrie is gonna have to show that he can improve the level of play of his teammates, something that he's never shown. So this is the big season for Kyrie. This is very, very big. I'm gonna make a break how he's perceived. I wouldn't go that far. I would, I would say that every guy in the NBA, you know, is there for a reason. Some guys are just, are there just because they're big. I will say that every guy underneath, underneath five is talented, but, you know, there's certain guys that are just there 'cause they're big. Then I beg. I'm wearing Kevin Love. Kevin Love was still 20. You don't like Kevin Love. It doesn't matter. You better than our offer. But now Horford, right now, he's been in Kyrie. No, even though I call him Kevin, he, you know, right now, I think I might go back to Kevin Love. I might love him again 'cause at least he'll, or, you know, I can't do that with negate law. Carry a law. So when I see him, I'm letting him know, let me say, "Look, little [ __ ], it's why you're number two. We do not be number one. So keep that number." I like that. No more. You know, but to do a lot more things in the post, right? What everything? But you keep telling you and take him. But what better passer? Better. He's just a better basketball player. Skill. What did you quarterback now? Okay, by him being able to pass, that was a bra for Kevin Love turned into a spot-up three-point shooter. Well, that was his role. And Shannon is making a good point. Al Horford is just a spot-up mid-range jump shooter. Skip, I know you really can't win that one. I mean, maybe if you said that Al Horford makes up for any deficiencies to Kevin Love on the defensive end, but there's nothing on offense that Al Horford does better. Kevin Love, 14-point forward. You guys are in trouble now. Cakewalk. What did they finish the odds at all? Exactly. They dropped LeBron's MVP odds, and they really dropped Isaiah Thomas's MVP odds, and they really dramatically increased Kyrie's MVP odds. Well, it's get one. Tell me this, what are the odds on me whooping your hands before the end of the show? Let me know. Get the aberration that he got for not winning the title. He's like, "I can do that." Plus, he had, but he had the ring already in his pocket. Agreed. I already said that. All right, this is gonna be a show me season for Kyrie. It's gonna be a me season for Kyrie. Don't be surprised to see Kyrie try to average 30 and 10 this year and like, really try to go all out. Good. Why didn't they just move in from 10 to 1? There is the exact same thing. They worked Monday yesterday. 10:00 to 1:00. Why is that, Skip? They got an MVP that's on the rise. They got Al Horford on the rise. They got Gordon Hayward who can really play, but they're still 10 to 1. Watch. Oh, you quiet now, huh? I like that. You go out for the first time and simply been on the show for a year. Yes. Finally quiet. Finally got you. You know, let's go to commercial so he can get his thoughts together, but make up some [ __ ] when we come back. Don't wait to see how you gonna answer. You know, just do be looking ass, looking like a damn tomato. I don't care what the odds are. This team is better. Awesome. It's better than it was in Cleveland. It's worse than it was. Explain how that's wrong. Explain it. You can't believe it's not as good as Cleveland was. You lost. I really. When Shannon made that argument about why Boston's chances, why their odds did not improve after he, after they acquired Kyrie, that totally flummoxed Skip. Now Skip is trying to put the onus back on Shannon because Shannon got him backed into a corner when he made that point. Well, prior low 20s, I give him low 20s. I wouldn't, I wouldn't say med. But depends on how much LeBron to further this. What we know, this is not a ping-pong tournament with the Brooklyn Nets. We'll have a lot of ping-pong balls 'cause they're gonna be terrible again. And I wonder if Cleveland is gonna bring back Andrew Bogut. I don't care if they guys DeMarre Carroll. I don't care if they got a D'Angelo Russell because it's only there. Russell get some dirt on one of his team makes people put it on Snapchat and they gonna follow the party. And it's a good thing he didn't put all that information he had on me and Bron because, uh, that would have, that would have shook up the sporting world. That man had some footage with me and Bron, and I definitely could not have allowed to get out. All right, that's why I had magic traitors at the Brooklyn. You know me and magic and wrong when the we take a yacht cruise every summer. And you know, I'll leave it at that. We're gonna. No, you own a yacht. Stays on the yacht. All right. But D'Angelo, remember I told you, make sure that you burn it, that damn phone, because if that footage comes out, that's your ass. The Cavaliers have LeBron James. They'll be just fine. Mm-hmm. And all I know is that Kyrie got his ultimate wish because not only does he get to go to a good team with a fine young coach, yeah, and a great tradition, yeah, it's an opportunity to go head-to-head with the guy he does not care for. Oh, we can't wait. We already know. I already got that circled on our calendar. I got me that big old sharpie and I start put it on the counter. I said, "Look here, baby, you won't play Kyrie this date, that date, this date, and that date." All right, just let me know. I can get my, you know, I can get my, my three-piece suit ready, my bow tie. I'm gonna be right there, stood on the front row at half-court. I want you to bust that ass. Kyrie said, "Bring on LeBron James." Do you think I read Vito this trade? No, he said, "Please, I want got oviedo power." You know, got a no-trade clause. I mean, [ __ ], I'm the one that drafted the contract for him. You know, I know what he got on that damn, on that damn contract. I spoke to Danielle, but my damn self. I'm his assistant. No, I work with LeBron. I work with Daniel, but I got to make sure everybody's paperwork is okay. I looked at Kyrie's contract. I said, "Goddamn [ __ ], you got slave contract." Did you take your active Boston? Well, told Boston, "I will not resign long-term." So he said, "I am committed to the Celtics." Because he is committed to taking down an aging LeBron James. How many Gary Coxe? There are three guys, NBA, NBA. They have a no-trade clause. LeBron James, LeBron James, and LeBron James. One, Carmelo Anthony. Who, buy the other one? Be skilled. I don't know. You say his name. Say his name three times like Beetlejuice. LeBron James. The guy who just sabotaged his own chances next year by not committing long-term to Cleveland because Cleveland cover gotten a better deal. Didn't need that draft pick. It needed the draft pick to secure its future in case LeBron is not part of its future. So LeBron, good luck next year. LeBron, we all need love and [ __ ]. Look, it's for people who don't have talent. We got all the talent in the world. We make our own luck. All right, let's go to commercial. Well, I don't know what your ass. Nope. Just put them three minute wheels. Commercial. Thank you. Retirees, y'all do y'all. I'm gonna do me. I'm committed to the 2017 into the 2018 season. That's what I'm committed to. After that, we're real. Just our focus and see where we going from here. I'm not worried about it because, you know what? We're just still going to the finals. Not the problems for straight. You going to state because they got a juggernaut. But don't worry about Skip Foster's not going anywhere without Horford. New Gorg. Hey, would you make it seem? I Gordon a with Larry Bird. Yeah. [ __ ] you know, ain't be no white boy. I'm former car that good since Larry Bird left 25 years ago. In a white thing, but all day. I'm going Haywood. No, that's why that's our damn Boston with the rest of the fishermen. Gordon's fishermen. Waiting my time with you. Damn segment. Let's talk about LeBron, Kyrie, and company. Will not lose four straight to Golden State. Let me say this though, Boston has had a lot of success with Golden State the last couple of years. They have been able to steal a couple of games from them the last couple of years, particularly in Golden State. Now, how that may change this year without Avery Bradley, who's a very, very key component to their defense, who knows? But they have, they have had success against Golden State in the last couple of years in the regular season. Yeah, it's there, but it's not gonna get first post. You're right. Kyrie not gonna lose four straight. They're not even get that nice to carpet again. LeBron's going to get down. He used to come do you know that? I know that. I do not know. You're in trouble now. And you know what? For once, the Eastern Conference finally got it just to get us more competitive. But here's the bank. Jim, you still building your team around, would skip, a 6-foot point guard? Well, I give Kyrie about six-two. It's not a five-nine point guard. It's six-foot. You're just shortchanging by three inches. P6-2. We faint, but I'm a good little table with Enoch still before the picture. He'll. I got a pitch up to the debris. I'm a regular on my Facebook page. Yeah, I can't. I can't take looking at that little [ __ ] no more. Ever since he betrayed Bran, I still write next time at the parade. I said, you know what? If me and LeBron wouldn't married, you might have a chance. But now I think back, I was like, "What was I thinking about? What the hell was I thinking?" You know, I look at that man, I just want to spit the hell of joy to a big-ass forehead. Let's just go to commercial. I'm Todd looking at you and Skip. Me, welcome to the dark side. I've been dark all my life. You know, you're talking about with your beige ass. Oh, thank you, Skip. Now we're talking about Uncle all season. Now all of a sudden, he hates the man with a passion. Wish you told us 17th? Oh, hell yeah. Two weeks right before Halloween. I got to get my, I got to get my costume ready. I might go after the Grim Reaper. But to kill that ass. Whoo. Can't wait. Okay, so now let's say what Chris Broussard, aka Chris Eck's the militant basketball columnist. Let's see what he had to say about the Kyrie Irving, Isiah Thomas trade. Live in New York. Hello, Chris. Hi, Joy. It's great to be back on the show. I miss you guys. Even Skip. I even miss. But where was you, Brett? You was in Charlottesville. He was in Charlotte. Will protest in the protesters goes to Boston. The Cavs get back a package that includes Isiah Thomas, J. Crowder, and Brooklyn's 2018 first-round pick. We've been hearing about a potential Kyrie move since he reportedly asked to be traded. So, Chris, how surprised were you? Well, obviously, we're not surprised he was traded, but it is surprising whenever you see two conference rivals make a deal, especially one involving stars. I mean, that's that's a rarity. I think that's also an admission by Cleveland that to Boston that, look, we're on two different timelines. So we might as well do business with each other. It's not like it's not like we're in the same place right now. Cleveland is a win-now team. Boston is a win in two years team. So, you know, let's just make this deal. We're not gonna resign LeBron. That's basically what Dan Gilbert is saying. We're not gonna resign LeBron. Um, we're pretty much gonna beat you this year. I think that, you know, we both know that. So let's just make this deal. We'll help you out, and you help us out. And that's basically not in the NBA. So that was a bit surprising. But in over 20 years of covering the NBA and talking to the executives, the best executives have always told me, while you don't want to trade a player, a star player, to a division rival or in the conference, at the end of the day, you have to make the best deal for your team, regardless of what it does for the other team. And I honestly believe that this deal was good for both teams. Now, to me, the most surprising element though is that a rookie GM, Koby Altman, in Cleveland, who we know has always been the G for maybe less than a month, he got the best of Danny Trader Danny Ainge. Well, I don't think he got the best of them. I think that they both got the best of each other. All right. I think then Danny Ainge was sitting on all those picks for a long time. He said, "Look, I'm not gonna be able to get a better player than Kyrie. Kyrie fits what we're trying to do perfectly. If you're gonna run around Iverson type of offense, Kyrie Irving would be even better than Isiah Thomas." And Altman got the best of him. I think Cleveland won this deal, and not just because their hands were tied because Kyrie wanted to be traded. They got everything offensively that they lost in Kyrie in Isaiah Thomas. Then they added a very good defender, Jae Crowder. I wouldn't put Isiah Thomas on the level of Kyrie, but like I said, I think that what balances the trade out is the addition of Jae Crowder. I think along with Jeff Green, which was an underrated pickup in free agency, I think, oh, I don't know. They got Jeff Green. That is a good pickup for them. Think that this is bringing Cleveland back to its identity. All season long, I talk about how they lost their identity of toughness, being hard-nosed, being a defensive-minded team. Crowder will help restore that, and he does it without taking away from your three-point shooting because he's an excellent three-point shooter when he spots up. Then, of course, you get Brooklyn's pick in 2018. That's incredible. So even if LeBron leaves next summer, you can't, you mean, when he leaves, he's leaving. He did the going to LA or San Antonio. Can re-sign Isaiah Thomas long-term if you like. You get a top pick in next year's draft. Maybe it becomes a future franchise player. All those things will keep Cleveland relevant, not great, but relevant, even if LeBron leaves. So I think this was a tremendous deal for the Cavaliers. Wait, did you just say that Isiah Thomas is as good as Kyrie Irving? No, Kyrie is the better player. I'll give you that. But they're both great isolation players. They both can create their own shot. They both are clutch. I say it was one of the top fourth-quarter scores in the league last year. They're both mentally tough. I think it's four. Look at, look at Shannon. Shannon got a look on his face like he got a, like he got a hand and Chris Broussard back telling him what to say, like a damn, like a damn puppeteer. Birthday, less than a month after she died, that tragic car accident. And Isaiah has proven one thing that Kyrie has it. Even though Kyrie is better, he's proving he can lead a team to wins. My Riyas never proven that. I will agree with that. Before LeBron or since LeBron got there, when he's out sitting our games, go ahead. [ __ ] never gonna get it. Never gonna get it. That's me. LeBron favorites. Although we, uh, you know, when you get home from the game. No, no, I gotta play hard to get. Chris, I agree with you. I believe because because you're behind the eight ball, but the simple fact, everybody knows you must trade Kyrie Irving. So they're coming to the table, offer you basically role players, backup players, and there's like, "No, wait a minute." And I get it. You never want to deal with a guy and you're doing your conference. In football, it was a division. But if this is the best deal I can strike, I'm getting the most I could possibly can, and I'm gonna live with the result. To get the Brooklyn Nets unprotected first-round pick. We know they're going to be in the lottery. There is a good chance that pick will be a top five. You get the defensive weapon to replace Kyrie, but you also add defense in Jae Crowder. I believe the, the Cavaliers won, although they had to give up a great player to get this. Cavaliers won this deal. It's an even deal. Shannon, you know, you and Chris Broussard want Cleveland to have, you know, won the deal because Chris Broussard is based out of Ohio. I believe he's from Cleveland or Akron, one of those two cities. And you know, he's trying to, he's trying to conjure up some positive energy for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season. And Shannon Sharpe, we all know he's, he's LeBron James's aside piece. Allegedly traitor day just pulled off the all-time NBA heist. He just asked the chief rival of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He just acquired Kyrie Irving at age 25, just entering his prime. And in return, all that LeBron got for next year is a five-foot-nine-inch defensive liability, ball-hogging point guard with an iffy at best hip. A guy who is not, according to Brad Stevens, even gonna be ready on that not surgically repaired. He, if he chose not to have surgery for training camp, that's a huge X-factor. The Cleveland doctors have not even examined the hip yet. Who knows what damage was done that has not been corrected yet? Right. But I mean, one would think that the Boston Celtics are the ones who examined Isaiah Thomas's hip and gave him the option to either get surgery or to let it heal naturally. So, you know, I mean, we're not just gonna assume that Isaiah Thomas said, "No, I don't feel like getting anything done on it, and I'm just gonna walk it out." Come on. Yeah, and you're saying they got that's.
Ridiculous. Jae Crowder is a nice player, but he is not a life changer. And so, all you got next year was an iffy hip and Isaiah Thomas and Jae Crowder back for Kyrie Irving. The Celtics are better. The Cavaliers are worse. It's as simple as that. And the Celtics, by the way, already at the best record in the league last year. So I give him a much better chance of being a LeBron had to add, which is, yeah, let's skip it. No matter the record, they easily should have. They usually could have gotten swept last year in the playoffs to Cleveland, like they were not even close to them last year. It had been one thing if they had lost in seven and you know, this trade made the difference. But if they had lost in seven, Cleveland would never have made the deal with them. As I just stated earlier, the reason why both teams felt comfortable making the deal with each other, scoop, is because they're both on different timelines. Boston's timeline is about two years away. Cleveland's timeline is this year, and they're done. They're clearly not going to bring LeBron back. Dan Gilbert has is basically saying, look, LeBron, this is your last chance because you don't want to play ball with me, so I'm not gonna play ball with you. The end of this season, you can have a nice day. Which is why I like Boston to win the East with Connery as the man and Gordon Hayward as the two guard and those kids, Jason Tama, Jaylen Brown, and Al Horford and Marcus Smart coming off the bench. That team's better than Cleveland now. I don't know they're gonna be playing Gordon here with her. I don't think he can guard most of the top two guards in the NBA. I guess we'll find out. We have no idea what Jason Tatum is. No, because he ate it up in some right idea. He's ready. I but I have really good. He's pretty good. He's not gonna come in the league, especially with Hayward and Kyrie there and light it up. He's just not. He's not had the opportunities. If he does have the ability, Jalen Brown, okay, let's see what he is. He was pretty good rate last year, but no, he was not great. He was decent on defense playing about seven or eight minutes a game. Um, he has to work on his body also. He's a great natural athlete. The hug him that, but let's see. Clearly got much better defensively. I know you would even admit that. They got much better. Well, should they? Couldn't get no worse. I mean, damn, damn. It was easier to drive down the lane on numbers like the damn Indy 500.
No, what now? Wait a second. Kyrie is, let's see, 5'9", 6'3". How many inches then? Six inches. He's six inches taller. And you know, and I know. We I read decides he needs to play defense. He can flat-out play defense. Isaiah just can't play. Too little to play to defend any to guard a point guard. Isaiah gives you all the offense Kyrie did. So what if he's back in November? Even if he's back in December, that's okay. As long as he gets healthy, he will be held. Exactly. You don't even know what the hell he's gonna be. You talking about it's alright if he comes back in December. You don't even know what he's gonna be when he gets back. Also got extra motivation. This guy has averaged 20 points throughout his career and never been paid. He's making like six, seven million dollars a year. This is the colors right here. He wants to go out there and not only play well individually, but win. Because that's the question some have about him. Can he fit with other guys when he's not the man? If he, we know he can do it individually. We know he can lead a team to be pretty good, even as the best player. Once he shows he can fit in as the second, maybe third best player on the team, as he'll be in Cleveland, then I think he'll get paid. And that's what he wants to do. Yeah, but you know what? I don't see any teamwork there. So giving him the max. I mean, who the hell is gonna give him over 40 million a year to do what? Jack up a bunch of wild shots and have to be in a perfect type of team to be successful? That team was perfectly built for him. Like I said, they would be. They were totally built off of the 76ers model, led by Allen Iverson. All right, so you have to have a lot of team major up. That bunch of teammates who are willing to play really, really, really dug in defense and accept the fact that they're not going to get any glory offensively. And he was very lucky to be in that situation. I mean, so we'll see. There's a reason why Isaiah Thomas has bounced around so many different teams. The skill set that he brings is is valuable, but it's not really conducive to winning. So in it, that means a lot of teams want him, but then a lot of teams want to get rid of him. No doubt they won this deal.
Joe Chris, can I ask you a question? When did Caviar become a barabbas on the defensive end? Fight. When does Skip said he was Allen Robertson's Janet? Just stop. Thank you. Thank you. I mean, he did a really good job. Once, yeah, these guys are jumping off the Kyrie Irving bandwagon. Both these two fools, Shannon Sharpe and Chris Broussard, were saying that Kyrie was better than Steph Curry last year. One step. And by the way, the shot in Game 7 that won the game, and he was the closer for the Cavaliers. And I'm not sure Isaiah is gonna be the closer. And by the way, he had the third highest among guards usage rate last year. So is LeBron gonna have a little bit of a problem adjusting to that? To a guy who's been the man in Boston? I think the chemistry between those two is gonna be iffy at best, along with Isaiah's hip. I will tell you this. I spoke to several executives or TechSoup with several executives last night, and they're a lot of them were saying that a lot of the players in Boston really weren't that fond of Isaiah. We up up there. You go. I didn't even know. I didn't even know about that. But see, that's what happens when you got a little guy just taking a ball, didn't know, taking all those wild shots. We know we had those problems in Sacramento and in Phoenix. I didn't know he was having those issues according to these executives in Boston. He is known as a headstrong guy. He's got a huge ego. He's kind of, they say he's got the Napoleon complex. You know, he always has that chip on the shoulder. So I'll give you that. But he knows the situation he's stepping into. He knows the projects. He's the best player in the world. Yes, Skip. You know a lot by that Napoleonic complex, don't you? See, little inch higher, private our ass. You know, mad as hell. Could you show it? Well, and he knows the best way for himself to get paid after this season is to play well and help Cleveland get back to the finals. And just like I told you, when Durant with the Golden State, immediately they're winning it all. I'm telling you, Cleveland is winning the East and they're better equipped to play going to stay on. Yeah, but what the hell does that mean, Chris? Are they gonna lose in six this time? Come on. If I got here, that was the first prediction you got right ten years I've known you. But I'll give you that one. And thank you for being objective about Isaiah clashing with his Boston teammates. I gotta go. I got it. Let me do one more. Go ahead. Here you guys are both giving your man LeBron a pass for this because you, you both know and I know why Cleveland was backed into a corner and had to look for the draft choice out there, which was Boston's draft choice, is because LeBron would not commit long-term to an area in a team that you, Chris Broussard, love the. Thank you, sir. Skip, uh, sitting on all the right points. LeBron is not one signed long-term. And Chris Broussard is a damn Ohio Homer running around trying to talk, trying to act like they made the biggest blockbuster deal of all time. The Cleveland Cavaliers in Northeast Ohio. And all of a sudden, Dan Gilbert said, well, I have to trade with my archrival in the East because they're the only one with the pick I need for the long-term because we're starting to think LeBron isn't going to be part of our long-term. So I say LeBron effectively sabotaged his ability to trade fair and square. Well, like I said, I think this was a very good deal. I think you've got players that can help you in the present, and you got a potential pick that will help you or a pick that can help you in the future. This is where I'll fall. If thought LeBron, I talked about it over Colin Cowherd's show last week. Cleveland had a deal hand them into the draft where they could have gotten Eric Bledsoe and Paul George. That's who was that? That's the cat's name. Eric Bledsoe. Yes. Porch for Kyrie Irving. A three-team deal with Phoenix and Indiana. Look, Dan Gilbert would have done it if LeBron had been willing to sign long-term. He wouldn't do it. And that's why Gilbert didn't do that deal. That was an even better deal than I think this is. So I thought LeBron on Zach. But I think they still came out and did it great in this trade. Oh, then he got. If they got Paul George and Bledsoe, they won the chip. I would have told. I know I told LeBron after knowing it when that deal came down, I said, what are you doing? No, I mean, yeah, we can, we can stay in Cleveland for more years and get up to [ __ ] you know, why do you want to be greedy fool? Well, move out to LA for what? What what side chick you go out there? He's lying, cheating. Give me a damn phone that puts it over the top. Can you tell skew the carrier be had a higher use of the usage rate than LeBron James in the regular season last year? By one tenth of a point. If LeBron's usage rate was 23.5, Kyrie's was 23.6. But Shannon is trying to make that point for joining us. Kyrie Irving was traded to the Celtics yesterday. Front package that includes Isaiah Thomas, J. Crowder, and Brooklyn's 2018 first-round pick. Last season, the Celtics were the top seed in the East, but lost to the Cavs in five games in the Conference Finals. Get back. Nice big move. Who will win these? The Boston Celtics are going to win the Eastern Conference next year. I'm going to let this sink in one more time. The Boston Celtics just acquired Kyrie Irving from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Why you keep talking about Kyrie Irving like he like he Michael Jordan? I mean, [ __ ] okay, they got him. I don't care if it's the only urban impress me. Do his urban arch-rivals at age 25. And Danny Ainge pulled this off without having to gut his own team. This is unheard of in NBA history, let alone for a player of Kyrie's magnitude. And I consider him the fifth best player in the league to be available via trade at age 25. So all of a sudden, Cleveland got a little worse. We've lost a superstar. You don't consider Kevin Love a star? He's not a superstar. Yeah, Kyrie is not a superstar. He's a star. You know, but he's, you know, he's somewhere in between superstar star. This season is going to determine whether or not he can be considered a superstar. LeBron just lost a cold superstar. He's now in Boston. So Boston got a little better. And I'll give you this. Cleveland just got a little worse. But that's enough for a team with the tradition that got the built last year in which they obviously had the most wins in the Eastern Conference during the regular season. They had no chance against Cleveland. Now they got a huge chance against Cleveland because Kyrie is on some mission to show the world that he will stand up to LeBron. And I think it speaks volumes for Kyrie that he said, yeah, I'll sign long-term with the Boston Celtics. I want LeBron now, head-to-head in the Eastern Conference. And again, I'm not the bigger score. And hate work fan. Patís it's pretty good. Uh, he's okay. Skip. Now becoming you trying to say he pretty good? You was hating on him about a month or so ago. Corn hay was a nice player. He's not going to be the difference between whether or not they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers or not. I gotta tell you, he's right up there with Kevin Love. If you wanna do 50/50 on shooting, you can shoot with Kevin Love. He made 40% of his threes last year. He averaged 22 and 5 for Utah. And by the way, he's playing for a coach that he obviously has a deep connection with. Brad Stevens coached him at Butler. So all of a sudden, I'm seeing Jalen Brown is a rising potential star. I thought Jason Tatum showed star quality in the summer league. And I like Al Horford. All he is is one of the better all-around basketball players in the league. Al Horford is a nice player. He's one of those guts and glue guys that you can win around. You can revolve around Al Horford. You got Marcus Smart still coming off the bench. I just like this team better than an aging Cavaliers team. LeBron's gonna be in his 15th year. And and all those guys coming off the bench, it's just age upon age upon age. Channing Frye, now Jeff Green. Yes, they have a very old team. They're not gonna win the championship. And any Bible claims that they are really don't know what the hell they're talking about. Now, and I do agree with Skip from this perspective. The East is a lot more up for grabs than it was. No, didn't live before that trade was made. Richest Jefferson old and still played. Ah, I like the young legs in the star power and firepower the Boston Celtics. I am so hoping that carries on this mission to prove to the broad. Please be on that mission. I need you to be on that mission. It's gonna be a kamikaze mission. It's gonna be you just flying the airplane right into a brick wall. Brick wall named LeBron. What he was doing early might dribble some circles around the Veronica. Well, I'm about. But I've tried. We talked about a 25-year-old Kyrie B or 25-year-old Irving Johnson because you're making the seem like he's gonna just like drastically change the fortune. Like they're just like going to the top. I think is urban. Not Irving. Urban Johnson. Um, Shannon. Well, they did have a star. Now they got one. And is it a bigger star than the one that you live in Cleveland? Well, no. Okay. Yeah, cuz I got it. Shannon doesn't know what he means. Skip. When does that ever stop him? Before, yeah, you know what the hell it means. Like Shannon, who you both will put a president LeBron. Okay. Yeah, it's okay. Okay. Now, that one. Okay. 24 hours ago, life goes on. Why do you like being a [ __ ]? Skip. Okay. One time I liked him. He was on my team. Is it putting my man? He's no longer here. So, you know, we throw the baby out with the bathwater. I mean, [ __ ] how long gonna keep being a Bose doc? Do you see me at talk about Stephen A. Smith? One that Joe wasn't at your booth thing back in the day? I mean, [ __ ] there's a new sheriff in town. Her name is Shannon James. Okay, Shannon Sharpe James. Remember that. I'm the new guy here. I don't bring up Stephen A. That bring up Kyrie. We just do what they need to do in the regular season, get to the Eastern Conference Finals and go head-to-head with the Warriors. Now, it might take us to game. It might take us with my half ago six games. But the same results will happen. The Boston Celtics will get dispatched by the Cavaliers if they meet at any point time in the NBA Playoffs. We'll see. I will put my vow of I was gonna put money down. I put my money down on Cleveland. But, um, they are getting older. And you know, PEDS ain't gonna help LeBron before so long. You know, alleged PEDS be similar for the finals. The Eastern Conference final. Same about the first round. It doesn't. If they play the Cavaliers, Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward, Al Horford, and all those guys you name will be going home. They're not beating the Cavaliers. The Cavalier. Allah. I look, look, think about this kid. Look at the big rolls. JR Smith, Kyle Korver, Chauffeur Jefferson. We got guys that can play defense. We got them. I don't care. They all down. They're 40 years old. You know, at one time, they, they all could play defense. I don't know if they'd still kid now, but at least they'll try. Kyrie, they even gonna try. War [ __ ] we got a bunch of old folks. You should be comfortable then. You probably live in the same home as you wrinkled up face look like a damn scrotum. Well, I want you to tell me who's gonna cover Kyrie? I say on it. Let's see how that works out. Yeah, I think you'll have a lot better chance on Isaiah than vice versa. Let's go. It's got six inches on one thing. We know about the point guards in the NBA. Nobody's stopping anybody. James Hart can go get 40. Still Kurt Ruff, Kyrie, Isaiah. All look can go get 40. So nothing's changed. I agree with that. Nobody. None of these guys can stop each other. Yeah, I definitely agree with that. The Cavaliers still have the best player breathing oxygen. Now, the only way he's not the best player, he stopped breathing. Absolutely. That's what I told him last night. No, I said, what the hell you always trying to hog the covers for? No, you're even get cold. We like Superman. Give me some damn colors. I have no if you breathe oxygen, don't you beep? Hey, lil. Thank you for my son. Always shining. That's why I love you. KD, Kawhi, be my pastor. He starts reading again. They go back to 2 and 3. Of 7.3 billion people in the world. There's nobody. Hmm. They got 1.5 billion people in job. Nobody. Who that's the best handling basketball we have? Thank you. Guess what? You maker in basketball. Get all this. Oh, this is like a Globetrotter in real life playing in a boy. Kyrie, Kyrie. Thank you. Very long without bad. If man whose balls are fat. Cavaliers. Kyrie. Who's the best clutch shooter in basketball? Kyrie. And I, if I said why could he make in Game 3? How did he miss all 703 points? I got one late shot. LeBron got it four times. He shot the ball 32 times. He's just away. 32 times he shot. You know, I counted all 32 at home. I'm here in my nightgown waiting for LeBron to finish playing. I'm gonna take another shot. 32 times. And ain't but made about 11 shots. I know they gonna blame my man. And then I gotta go back on that show tomorrow morning and deal with this damn blond hair, blue eyed, damn scrotum face shot maker. Clutch. My mini was in a funk. He is not getting the basket. Yeah, the pumpkin do it. I'll get one of my game 5. What about game one? To wait. Game 5. Game 1. To when did Golden State go on or 21 to 2 run? And LeBron scored two points in that run. Well, what was he supposed to do? He's playing all five positions. [ __ ] this is LeBron at center. LeBron at guard, shooting, got point guard, more for Papa, and the coach and the damn water boy. The hell else you want him to do? You wouldn't. You say he must player on the planet. Where was you want to see? Where my bra is? It won't see what car Reese's. Irie wanted out from under all. You know what? Got no more drama, no more rings other than the one around a damn tub. You know what? I'll take Boston. You know, I'll take the tradition. I'll take the coach. I'll take the franchise. I'll take the GM. And I'll take the team around me. And I'll come back to Cleveland on what is it? Opening night? It's October. So that everything we got. No more drama. I guess what do you have them? No rings. Okay. No more rings. Leaders will be one. One for LeBron. Oh, yeah. Yeah. He also was in the lottery a lot for the Cavaliers. Yeah. Hell, yeah. Damn Kyrie than Larry Mura. Damn Mega Millions. Why LeBron? To come on. Save his ass. Dion Waiters got him too. Yeah, got him too. Oh, yeah. No, he was just tearing it up. The cleaver for LeBron James. I agree with Shannon that, um, Kyrie had to learn how to win. No, so it's still. It's still up in the air whether or not he knows how to win, whether or not he knows how to play winning basketball, whether or not he's gonna know how to be a leader. Gonna be very tough for him. But, you know, he's in a good situation now because Brad Stevens is a, you know, is an extremely erudite coach. He can instruct him on some things. And the leadership onus will not all be on him. Will be the representative of the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals. Frank, we have. We will measure. Maybe we got a lot of stuff together. We got putting together. You still haven't explained to me what I said Thomas's hip big x-factor and ego bigger x-factor. How will he blend with LeBron? I cannot be another wiry LeBron. What about you know, LeBron and Isaiah Thomas gonna be like peanut butter and jelly? Okay. Gonna be the perfect matchup. One of my carry bulky needs. What about carry's hamstring? Hey, I agree with that. I already stated that Kyrie is very injury-prone. He has a lot of leg issues. So it's going to be interesting to see if he can stay healthy while in Boston. And Kyrie plays in a very explosive style. Too. Like the style of play the heat that he uses on the court is not something that he's gonna be able to carry into his late 20s and early 30s. He's gonna have to streamline his game a little more. He's quite a little man. Isaiah Thomas chose not to have hip surgery after a serious hip injury. And the Cavalier doctors have not yet examined him yet. What if he's damaged goods? Could be. That might be the case. But so it's alright. Let me get this right. Isaiah Thomas didn't have his hip hip surgery. He made this decision. Only though he consorted with no doctors, no specialists. Thank you, sir. Same thing I said. Clearly, the the Boston Celtic medical staff informed him that he can either get a procedure done or he can arrest it. So he elected to rest it. Many athletes prefer not to have any type of invasive surgery if they don't have to because you got to go to the doctor. Exactly. The team said, okay, you're going now. You might want to go see an affiliate doctor on your own, but you got to go to the team special. You got to go to the doctors. They they require you to go see. Now, you might go on your home. So as the doctor says, hey, you could have surgery, but with rest and rehab, yeah, it'll be fine. Faster out. Heat rolls. Uh, uh, but last I checked, ain't nothing each surgery did. Did you see the bra? Did you train it? Did you see the Brawn? I mean, [ __ ] when I saw my thought I was looking at an Adonis. A black Adonis. I should look at that [ __ ] who the hell put that marble statue in the gym and they said that's LeBron? Oh, that's my baby. Oh, [ __ ] joy had one in the court. They passed the ball. He dumped it. You take off running down. They'll be in. You go joy. He was running relays up and down the court, dunking, shooting threes. And the man which was dunking on both rooms at the same time. Did you see baby when he was in New York? Mmm, with Carmelo? I can do it. What is he doing? Skill wonder. He tweet so good night. Gary. LeBron's gave a damn self. Just a sexual chocolate. But anyway, that was the coverage of the pirate raid.
