[Music] is vibe coding. Five simple codings have been vi. You guys are getting way too excited about vibe coding. Vibe coding here, vibe coding there. But vibe coding has two big problems, and only one can be fixed. Let's talk about the first problem, which is distribution.
Why is no one talking about Vibe distributing? Because they simply can't. Yes, Vibe coding is cool. Yes, it's going to get better and better and better. But think of it like the no-code explosion in 2018 with tools like Bubble and others. When you think about it for a second, it's been possible for a while now to build an Airbnb clone, a CRM, or dozens of other apps.
A good example of such a tool is Everoot. Everoot is a tool that allows you to scrape LinkedIn Sales Navigator into a CSV file. It's mainly used for lead generation purposes. This software is doing over $2 million in annual revenue and has been built with Bubble. The barrier to entry for such products is usually not super high. Hence why they get dozens of copycats, if not hundreds of copycats.
Yet, not everyone will be able to make money with EverBoot because you need to figure out a real marketing strategy to get inbound leads and figure out how to cold email, cold call, DM, or call call the right leads with the right offer. We're entering the era where the best distributor wins. I think it's going to end up pretty much like dropshipping, where Shopify, with its AliExpress integration, enabled non-tech-savvy people to build e-commerce shops super rapidly.
With the explosion of dropshipping courses between 2015 to 2022, every single niche in e-commerce has been saturated by multiple dropshipping shops. Building a shop has become a commodity. The only ones who are making millions in this jungle are the best distributors with the best ads, the best communities, and the best overall marketing strategy.
Like Shopify, lovable and similar vibe coding tools will commoditize the market, and consumers are going to win big from this because the market will become so saturated that only the best products with the best distribution will win. Sales and marketing skills will become more valuable than ever. Veteran salespeople, B2B influencers, and X7 figure agency founders are probably the ones who benefit the most from VIP coding, either by selling the services or by building software products themselves. The aspiring devs or the rookies liking every VIP coding post or tweet will not succeed in that era. If you can create a software mode, you'd better learn how to build a distribution mode.
Vibe coding will make people lazy and idolistic. They'll spend countless hours vibe building a product, but like OG coders before them, they'll fail at distribution. Vibe coding will not fix distribution. And that's probably the best thing about it, because if you know the game, you'll spend more time acquiring sales and marketing skills while everyone else is wasting time on doing something that has become a commodity.

It has become one of the biggest memes in the vibe coding community. The problem is that vibe coding has many flaws. Vibe coding might seem fun and exciting, but when it comes to real apps and real users, it's definitely not safe.
When you vibe code, you're most relying on AI to build things fast. That's cool if you're making a test project or just trying out an IDE. But once your app needs to handle real data like emails, payments, or customer information, things get risky really fast. One big issue is that you don't really know what the AI wrote. You might not fully understand the code, and that means it's hard to fix problems when something breaks. It's also easy to miss important things like checking if data is safe or protecting private information. You could accidentally create bugs or even open up security holes without realizing it.
That's why people joke about there being no such things as vibe maintaining or vibe debugging. These are unreal jobs because once something goes wrong with Vibe coding software, it's a nightmare to fix. There's no plan, no test, and no clear structure. Just code written super fast with no safety net.
And here's the bigger problem. Many people are using vibe coding to build complex apps like CRMs, tools with logging systems, or e-commerce platforms. But this type of app needs to be very stable and secure. If they crash or leak data, it can cause serious problems, and from there, customers will lose trust in your business, and so your business will make less money.
AI sometimes adds code that looks good but is actually unsafe. For example, it might leave an admin page open to everyone or store passwords the wrong way. And since vibe coders don't usually double-check everything, those mistakes stay in the code. So, what happens next? A real developer steps in, cleans the mess, keeps the good parts like the database, and rebuilds the app the right way. That's already becoming a full-time job for many freelance developers.
Just like the comment above, they're basically AI code janitors called in after the vibe coding party is over and it's time to ship something that won't break in production. This also proves that the AI will replace all the developers argument is completely off. If anything, AI is generating more work for good engineers. Just like how website builders didn't kill web design, they created new needs for better branding, SEO, and custom features, vibe coding creates more demand for code reviews, debugging, testing, and refactoring.
