After Hitler arrived in power in 1933, in the German criminal code, under paragraph 175, this act was considered illegal in Germany. For that, it was easy for the German authorities to catch and convict these people.
Every club, restaurant, every organization, and infrastructure of this kind was closed, and the punishment was excruciating. In the German military, these people were considered predators who disrupted morale and unit cohesion, and for that, the punishment was serious.
More than 100,000 people were convicted for these acts, and a lot ended up in prisons and concentration camps, where they ended their lives. This was considered like a disease in Germany, and it was treated like that.
Hitler believed that these acts would affect his younger soldiers, the Hitler Youth, so he acted quickly with castration.
