We're licensed. He's brand new. Please forgive us. You said leave before I call 911. Where's your badge at? This is a good one. There's no soliciting. You're supposed to have a solicitor's badge. The people have been instructed to call the police instantly if you don't have a solicitor's permit.
What's up, guys? Today, we're doing a zero to hero unlike any other. We got Caleb. He does marketing sales, digital marketing, and he's a guru. Not Caleb is our first zero to hero. He's in your DMs. He's offering to sell you packages, but he's yet to sell a [ __ ] roof. That's right. Zero to hero. He's made some money before. What's the most you made in a week? >> $5,000. >> Woo. You're borderline not a zero if you did 5,000 a week. What's the most you made in a year? >> Oh, never done six figures. Never done six figures. Okay, so that is the qualification. You in America, if you aren't making six figures, you can't live the American dream. And so to go from zero to hero, you got to be a million-dollar producer in roofing that's going to pay you between 100 and 150,000. In this episode, we see is this guy cut out for the job. We go door to door in a place where people are calling the cops. We went door to door in areas where it was gated community with nothing but million-dollar homes. We literally broke down everything a rookie would need to hear about insurance paperwork and how to navigate the basics of closing an insurance roofing deal. Look, we're going door to door. We're going where there's cops and we'll see if Caleb can actually be a roofer or is he a fake guru. Let's go.
>> Caleb, what's your backstory, brother? Yeah. So, I come from selling digital marketing packages with Frasier Media. Um, so I've been doing that for a while. Started off cold calling, then went to straight remote sales, and then lately I've actually been selling with lead for Sky Diamonds. And like you said, bud, you can't keep helping these roofers if you're not a roofer. So, here I am going from zero to hero, reaching my first million dollars roofing sales this year.
>> And so, we're on the streets in Chicago and I took him to an area where there's no soliciting. You're supposed to have a solicitor's badge. The people have been instructed to call the police instantly if you don't have a solicitor's permit. And he ain't got a permit. So, bud, welcome to Chicago, Illinois. They call it Shyrack for a reason. These people are pissed off. And uh it's just a state up from misery, Illinois. U misery loves company, boy. So, let me just give it to you. They've had a lot of people knocking on their door and I want you to be ready for high tension door-to-door objections. So, the number one thing is give me that pitch. I'm a roofer. I mean, I'm a door to door homeowner and I've had a lot of Chicago people to my door. I want to hear your pitch, brother. Give it to me. Okay.
>> Hello. She's going fast. Oh my god. Go [ __ ] Don't scare her now. Don't scare her.
>> Hey, ma'am. How you doing today?
>> You don't speak English very well?
>> Well, it's it's your roof. Your roof?
>> I was going to take a look at it. See if you had any damage from the hell storm. Have you had anybody look at it? Oh, I was I wasn't trying to step in or nothing like that. She said she couldn't hear me, so I was just trying to make it to where
>> Where is your sign on or your pass for the city?
>> I'm sorry.
>> Where's your pass from the city?
>> Oh, the my my owner probably has it.
>> Your owner probably has it?
>> Yes, ma'am. Yes, ma'am.
>> I'm just going to ask you to leave my car.
>> Yeah, absolutely. I'm sorry about that. I wasn't trying to be rude or anything like that. We were just trying to make sure everybody was getting helped out and everything like that.
>> I'm asking you to step away.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. That's totally fine. I didn't want to make you uncomfortable. Yes, ma'am. Yes, ma'am. Just
>> step away.
>> Yeah, that's fine. That's fine. Yeah.
>> You said leave before I call 911. Where is your badge at?
>> For license. He's brand new. Please forgive us. God bless. Nice place. I'm brand new. I just totally forgot to worry. My boss got in the truck. Yeah. Well, you need to go before I call the cops. I was like, "Oh, man. Look, I'm so sorry I upset you. I'm not Was not trying to do that. Like I said, I'm new. We were just working on a couple people in the neighborhood. Want to make sure nobody got left behind. She's like, "Yeah,
>> I told you party till the cops.
>> Just get out of here before I call cops." Like, "Okay, look, you said cops three times. Now I'll leave." You know, the first time smoke screen, second time. Hey, let's have this conversation third time. Okay, I
>> Hey, how you doing? I'm Caleb Murray.
>> Hey, Caleb.
>> Hey, how you doing, man? So, as you can probably tell, a lot of damage around here. We've been helping out your neighbor over there. You know, many roofers that have knocked on my door, brother. I'm good. I'm good. I got a roofer.
>> Hey, look, dude. I understand. I understand. There's a lot of people been knocking on doors. Everybody got fatigued from that. We're just want to make sure everybody's taken care of. We know a lot of insurance companies have been deferring and denying claims. So, we want to make sure get make sure everybody's out here getting taken care of cuz I mean, at the end of the day, if you have legitimate damage, you want it covered, right, man?
>> Yeah. From what I understand, man, I'm good. I I got I I I got my roofer. Uh but I thank you, man. You want to live me your business card? You can't. Okay, there's your tick. You're sitting on a [ __ ] tick. You jump on that [ __ ] tick right now. He's in that [ __ ] yard. You go up there and you give him that [ __ ]
>> He's a tick because he's just waiting to buy and he's just sitting there [ __ ] with this lawn mower, brother. That's what you look for. You look for a clean yard. Does that look like a clean yard, brother?
>> Yes, sir.
>> All right. That's a decision maker. You get up in there like swimwear and you just make a friend and then you help a friend. Go ahead.
>> Gotcha. Oh, door's locked. Watch it from here. We got the We got the child block.
>> Hey, sir. How you doing today?
>> Huh?
>> How you doing today?
>> Good.
>> Working hard, huh, man?
>> All right.
>> You doing all right? I'm Caleb, by the way.
>> Oh, hey. I appreciate that. Appreciate that. Hey, man. I know we had a big hail storm come through. I was just wondering if you got a chance to get your roof checked out.
>> Yeah, we had three guys up there already.
>> Okay. How did it end up work out for you? Did you end up they found us some damage? Did you end up going with anybody or?
>> No, they didn't find nothing.
>> They didn't find anything. They say you didn't have any hail damage.
>> This is what every good salesman
>> Well, I guess it never hurts to have a second look. You mind if I get up there and kind of take a look? And if you have something, I mean, cuz you have legitimate damage, you want it covered, right?
>> I'm going to come up there.
>> Oh, you don't want nobody up there.
>> The whole time they didn't want any titles.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Make a Oh, I get you. I get you. I get you. What if I just fly my drone up above it? You mind if I
>> That's a good one, bud. We're good. How you doing, bud? Hey,
>> I'm the boss. How's my guy? This his first day on the job.
>> Oh, good for him.
>> Hey, he's he's not bad, is he? I'm I want to get a closer look on the back and you're here doing business and I just want to get you these pictures. Then you'll know. Is it 12 years old or 13?
>> But nobody's going to go under the roof.
>> That's okay. I'm just going to go to the edge.
>> Yeah.
>> And I'm not going to step foot on it.
>> But I want to show you the damage. Okay.
>> Yep.
>> Ladder assist. Gutter elevation by elevation. It starts with a cover photo. This is for our proposal.
>> Okay?
>> Cuz transparency builds trust. We complete the offer. Stop right there. Take a picture of the front. This is going to be on the front of his estimate. Cuz it's a beautiful front yard. It's a beautiful home. Sharp paint. Sharp everything. Take a picture. Okay, let me go get my camera.
Home service business owners, I want to invite you to come hang with me at my office so I could take you through my scaling roadmap. Everybody knows they need more leads, more salespeople, but you need the right profit margin, operation, and system. And I want to give you a tour of everything we do at RCA that applies to all HVAC companies. We're the best in the world at creating leads, creating guys that knock on doors. And if you're watching this right now, I want to show you how to build a team. Comment roadmap. I'll get you access to the road map. This road map is what I take you through in the 2-day scale and exit mastermind. I want you to get a head start on what we're going to implement because at this workshop, we actually implement a recruiting funnel, a lead generation system, an AI appointment center, and we teach you the setter closer model. Click the link in the description, fill out the application, and we'll see you at the next event. Nobody's to step foot on this roof. We don't have to. All right, we got to find where the hail came in from. Okay. You see here on this gutter, you got damage. Don't it smell good? Don't it taste good? It's just a beautiful thing. It's what you call America.
>> Well, actually, let's watch it. We call this a ladder demo.
>> Okay.
>> This is where you figure out a ladder on your own.
>> Yeah.
>> There we go.
>> What are you doing? We're not going up on the roof, right? We're
>> Well, this is what they call a ladder demo. I want to see what a rookie comes up with. Go ahead. There we go. Okay. Okay. The A-frame approach is probably not the best approach.
>> Okay. What What approach you thinking?
>> Well, I was thinking about putting the ladder on the gutter.
>> Okay. Okay.
>> They call that a ladder demo. This is harder than roofing sales itself.
>> You might not.
>> I might not earn it, bro. I might not make it through the first day, but I've never
>> That's why some of us are salespeople and not handymen. You're about as handy as I am, bro.
>> Oh, buddy. I ain't cutting it out there on the uh installation side of things. this guy. We're about a minute and a half into this, dude. We still ain't got the ladder up.
>> This is the moment of truth right here.
>> Hold on. Okay. Whoa. The ladder demo is getting rough there. It's Oh, there it is. Okay.
>> It's all in the process. My part is done.
>> We don't want to get on the roof, but we want to take pictures of the holes because there's holes. Holes don't lie. He's got plastic leaf guards. Okay.
>> Okay. Yeah, that's collateral. It's collateral. Okay. A lot of times a little moisture on your thumb if you lick it before you stick it where the damage is. The damage is easier seen on camera. Oh, this thing's tore up from the floor up.
>> Okay. Do you remember his name? No.
>> That's why we got roof and red line right here. And then the neighbor's name is uh can't pronounce it.
>> Good luck. Go over there and see what you got. There you go.
>> First rule of roofing sales, always have folder, contract, pen, paper available. You know, I'm out here bare hand like a fool.
>> But that's all right.
>> Yeah,
>> I do it all the time.
>> That's the cool thing about roofing sales. You get to be foolish and just go to the next door.
>> Yeah,
>> I'm seeing I got to look a couple more elevations. I don't know yet.
>> All right, Mr. Carson.
>> Yeah,
>> it's getting hot. You know what's happening today, don't you? They got more storms coming, man. Did you see the news?
>> Yeah, we got storms.
>> Storms coming, brother. Um, how long you lived here? uh 47 years.
>> It's a nice ass house. It's a big old roof. And um I just want to look at it real quick with you, show you how many squares it is. Uh this here is not a small roof. If you had to pay out of pocket, which I don't want you to. It would cost you at least 22,000 and I don't want that. And you know, when we talked, I don't know if you were aware
>> of the holes. That's a big one.
>> Oh, I'm not worried. Somebody put them on myself.
>> No, but this is what it did to the roof. And I did not get on your roof. if it did exactly what you said, brother, but you could see it clearly from the from right on the hedge.
>> Yeah.
>> And these will cause leaks and they are covered by insurance. But this this is not a disputable case. This is one that definitely needs to be replaced. And the holes just indicate that these bruises came from March 10th. Now, were you here for March 10th?
>> I've been Yeah.
>> March 10th.
>> Yeah. I had to get my last year I had to get my cars fixed. They had dings in them. That one's got five dings from this last one.
>> That's a nice one, man.
>> How much was the damage?
>> Last time was 3600. And I'm waiting for it to get a couple more dings.
>> Get some more in there.
>> Well, it's actually going to be good and halen tonight.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh we're looking at golf ball, something like that. Um, you know, the good news is everybody raroing in the neighborhood is getting an impact resistant shingle. So,
>> yeah. It literally bounces off. It's got
>> Well, I got a replacement bundle. You do?
>> Cuz I want to keep the same color.
>> Let me see it.
>> Oh, it's in my shed buried. But I got a whole bundle. And
>> so everything's contingent upon approval. What What insurance company is it?
>> Um, it's a State Farm.
>> Oh, they're tough. You know that, right?
>> I don't know.
>> You know, everything is about delay, deny, defer responsibility.
>> But I doubt if those two little things
>> Well, that's the point. If I cannot get them to pay, I do not earn your business. This is just an audition. So, we do contingent upon approval. We call them. But the May deal is March 10th, 2026. That was the date of the storm.
>> Yeah.
>> And I got on my calendar to get in case.
>> Did you take any pictures?
>> No.
>> Oh, man. It was crazy. It uh down there in uh Cana Key, man. Staying down there by the river.
>> Yeah.
>> Boy, them trees usually sin. What happened to them?
>> I cut all my trees down around here. Thank God.
>> Oh, you wasn't even playing with it, huh?
>> Yeah.
>> That's scary, Mr. Carson.
>> That's those gutter guards. I put them up when I had trees.
>> You did?
>> They've been up there for 15 years. The gutter guards.
>> Well, the hell put holes right through them. You're going to get new gutter guards. We're going to call State Farm. We're going to send them these pictures. Okay. Everything's contingent upon their approval. I got to get your permission to call them. We're going to call them right now.
>> Nothing illegal.
>> No. Everything's contingent upon approval. State Farm doesn't pay for roofs unless they're damaged.
>> Let me ask my wife. Okay. She's just right inside. She'll say, "Okay, I think."
>> Yeah. Best best thing is
>> You want to show her the picture?
>> Yeah. Let's show her the pictures first.
>> Let me talk to her.
>> Hello, Miss Donna.
>> My name's Lee. You heard me on the roof. It wasn't reindeer or Santa Claus. It was me. I'm the boss.
>> Nice to meet you. Hey, I was telling him, you know, this is a good roof. It's a beautiful color. I love this roof, but it has major damage from the storm. Now, I didn't get on the roof. I I I took pictures from the edge, but this was the date. I don't know if you remembered. Um, this was the date. It was March 10th.
>> You got it marked on the calendar.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> You got the time and everything when it hit.
>> We thought it be hail.
>> So, this is the map of the storm. And as you can see, you're right here in the middle of it. And this is the worst damage in the Chicago history. This is the worst hail storm because of how many people were affected. And so
>> anyway, the question is, do you want me to sign the sheet? He go,
>> yeah, we call the insurance, we meet them, everything is contingent upon the insurance approval. and my company. This is me. Um, we do really big jobs. Um, this is our company. We've been in business for a really long time. They write you the check. They don't write me the check. Um, that one was a $5 million job. But what we do is we we work through the insurance process first. So, if there's no approval, there's no cost to you. And State Farm will have to determine they'll have to meet we'll have to meet them out here. Um, but we just call them real quick. Um, and basically March 10th is the date of the storm. Now, um, what's a good email address to send you the report?
>> Your email or yours? Either one.
>> Small letters at yahoo.com.
>> Okay. So, I'm going to read this to you. This gives me permission to inspect and document the condition of the roof. Communicate directly with State Farm, obtain an agreed price approval, and finish the paperwork quickly. proceed with repairs or replacements within 30 days of approval and funding. And all this says is that upon funding, I'll execute a contract with RCA for the repairs or replacements specified by my insurance equal to but not exceeding the full amount of the proceeds. No charges for these services other than the awarding of the contract contingent upon approval. Contingent means no approval, no cost. My out- of- pocket expense will not exceed my deductible.
>> Okay. I can
>> we call the insurance and let them know.
>> If you think so, I'll sign it. I don't like those. I
>> We got to call the insurance because of the damage at least.
>> Then do you guys put the roof on?
>> Yeah, they write you the check and if there's a mortgage, is there a mortgage on here? Okay. They're going to write you the check and all the money is going to go to you. I don't get paid until I'm done with the roof. So, I finish the roof, then I get paid and they write you the check, not me.
>> That's how it works. No, it doesn't.
>> How old is it? 15 years. When did you
>> 15?
>> You bought the best one we could buy.
>> And you did good. That's a good roof.
>> I'm going to sign it.
>> Yeah. We're going to give State Farm a call.
>> You pay insurance all the time.
>> Makes you feel like you
>> Yeah. There goes your bill.
>> It's an act of God. And here's the thing. You're very You're very right. Okay. If your pipe burst, there's two types of claims. There's a claim that you can control. That's like a negligence claim. Like so if you someone stole from you, they could say you should have locked your doors. If your pipe burst, you should have maintained your home. But you can't stop your roof from getting hit with hail that hit everybody. So this hits so many people, it's an act of God. They can't raise your rates.
>> Now, when you get a new roof,
>> you can save your money on insurance because you're not as big a risk. And my encouragement is once you get a new roof, State Farm isn't the only person, but just go ahead and shop around. When insurance compete, you win. And what you do is very simple. Once you have a new roof, you ask for a new roof discount. Many times, State Farm will give you a new roof discount, but many of the other insurance companies to be competitive may drop your premium drastically cuz you have a new roof. Plus, we install class 3 impact resistant shingles, 130 mph wind resistance, and these shingles give you a better rating for a better premium.
>> I'm going to sign. We paid for.
>> Yeah, it's damaged.
>> I'm not the first guy either. There's been plenty of them. They'll keep coming by.
>> Yeah. And and the good news is we'll put a sign in the yard and we'll make an example out of it and they'll stop coming by. Insurance companies are not letting people have 20, 25y old roofs. They're saying you got to replace your roof to keep insurance. They're reducing coverage. So, the fact that you have a 15-year-old roof, you want to get it replaced before the insurance company's doing things like because an older roof is easier hail damage. There's there's other parts of Darion that got hail worse, but your house was really damaged because it's a 15-year-old roof.
>> State Farm has automated bots and AI technology to assist you or route your call.
>> Let me find your claim. Please tell me your nine-digit claim number.
>> All right.
>> For the claim is all set and he'll probably hear from um the team in reference to the claim.
>> Okay. Beautiful.
>> Thank you.
>> All right. Anything else you need from me?
>> That's it.
>> Bye-bye.
>> Bye.
>> Going through my phone.
>> Okay, Mr. Carson, I'm going to send you a copy of everything. I'm going to give you photos.
>> The most important thing is that we're here when the insurance company comes here. So, if the adjuster reach out to you, you got to give me a call
>> and you'll be here then
>> and I'll be here. Okay? And they write you the check, but the way it works is we verify the damage, then they write you a check within a couple like it's been very fast. They've been coming out pretty quickly because there's a lot of damages. It's been happening pretty fast. It's the whole promise to me to you is that I'm not going to charge more than what they pay. And so, um, you know, bottom line is is the insurance company's got to come out here and look at the damage and we'll go from there.
>> Okay. All right.
>> If they call us or anything, we got to contact them. You got that tire?
>> Yes, I do.
>> Pleasure meeting you.
>> See you again.
>> Oh, yeah. Absolutely.
>> Y'all stay out of trouble now, huh?
>> Yeah. You, too.
>> Hey, anybody that needs a roof, let me know. I got a special referral program. It's $500. And uh if we put a yard sign out front, it'll stop the guys from coming by. So, that'll help you out. All right. All right. Thank you.
>> There has been a lot of people by.
>> That's cuz you got damage.
>> But I didn't let them on the roof.
>> Cuz I'm the best. That's good to have a drone.
>> You're goddamn right. All right, bud. Now, there's a fine art to this. Okay. It's one of the best places to create content. Okay. This is one of the oldest moves in the book. First of all, you got to get nice and square. Get right in the middle there. And that's You got to practice this by yourself like you do it, man. I can't do it all for you. I know I sold it for you, but I can't I can't do this.
>> You can't stick it in there for me. You got to pop a cherry on your own, buddy.
>> This is what we call the dunk. The dunk. Okay. So it's like full out, full send. It's your first roof. You jump as high as you can and you dunk it into the ground and you try to keep it so that it actually stays.
>> And the high the higher quality the higher that you get with the more that it sticks straight,
>> the better score you get.
>> Okay, I get you saying
>> all right, let's see what you got. You're going to want to land, you know, it's going to go horizontally this way. So I'm I'm going to jump this way. So, am I going for length or am I going for height here?
>> Listen, it is all a choice of style.
>> Okay. Okay. So, length or height is completely up to me.
>> It's up to you. This is your first
>> yard sign stabbing. Go ahead.
>> You ready for this?
>> Oh, nice. Well, you didn't quite sell out. It's all about the body flop. Do you want to see how to do it?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. Show me from a pro. Show me from a pros point of view. Oh, let's go. The kick is good. I did not understand the original assignment. That was a clinic. That was a clinic. I can't lie.
>> All right. Now, straighten it up.
>> Yeah. There's your first one. Hell yeah, brother.
>> That's how it's done, isn't that?
>> Imagine that.
>> Imagine that. First door, huh?
>> How often does that happen with the cameras, boy?
>> Dude, never. First door knock ever. First door knock ever. Was definitely uh
>> What did you expect in the
>> I thought it I thought to be honest with you, I thought I was going to be a little bit more nervous and I thought he was going to be a little bit more just straight up get off my lawn, you know? Um I was surprised at how one I guess open he is to talk, right? It's like a lot of times if you just get, you know, unless the door slammed in your face, then it seems like it's still able to work a deal, right? Like I was talking to him and Lee walked up. I was having a little bit of trouble, but like Lee just told me, you know, just stay in the pocket and take what he gives you, right? Uh like when he said he didn't want nobody on his roof, I was like, "Oh, I'll drive my, you know, fly my drone across." But then Lee came up and was like, "Hey, we already detected damage. Yeah, I'm not going to get on your roof. Just take a look at it." So, one, um I guess it just wasn't as nerve-wracking as I thought it was going to be.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> And then how was it similar to uh marketing sales?
>> Oh, not at all.
>> Not at all.
>> Not at all. Not at all. Yeah.
>> For staying in the pocket.
>> Totally different skill set besides staying in the pocket. I think that's about the only thing that translates there. That's about the only thing that translates.
>> All right. Let's get your dick kicked a little bit.
>> All right. Hold on. You guys get yourself a different kind of blow on. You go get him right now. The best time to strike is after you've already struck. And he is a grunt. He don't think it's roof damage, son. This is when you strike. When you sign one, you go for another.
>> Lightning strikes twice.
>> Oh yeah. Let's see what he can do. Hey man, how you doing this afternoon, bro?
>> Enjoying this weather a little bit. All right,
>> Caleb, nice to meet you. All right, so when the guy's like, "I don't want anybody on my roof stomping on my roof." Is that usually your go-to is just saying, "Okay, well, I won't get on there. I just let me look around the edges and stuff like that." Or or like what usually your push back whenever they're saying, "I don't want anybody on my roof. I've already had guys look at it. They don't have any damage."
>> Maybe that next step is putting a ladder on the gutter.
>> I'm not going to touch it. I'm not going to get up there. No, no, no. I'm not going to do it. Not until you tell me to.
>> She does have enough soliciting, son, that this could get real fun.
>> It's fine. I'm not soliciting. I'm just asking if somebody's looked at her roof.
>> But really, the thing is is that my drone detect the damage. I just need to verify. I just need to take a closer look. I need to show you the pictures. I need to get you the report. Tick, tick, talk.
>> Yeah. Literally, it was like,
>> now it's time to knock.
>> Yep. Let's go. Hey ma'am, how are you doing today? I'm
>> doing okay.
>> Hey, we're just around the neighborhood and we were flying our drone out cuz they had that big hail damage. Kind of looking at it, doing stuff for a couple minutes. Well, we detected damage. So, we just
>> She closed the door on me, man. We knocking. Come on. Yeah, the cops are going to give us help. They got to catch us.
>> Your objection.
>> She didn't get one. All I said was, "Hey, ma'am." I said, "You know, we're in the neighborhood and we were doing a couple stuff for your neighbors. We flew our drone around. We detected damage and then she just slammed them."
>> You got it out. She didn't say a word.
>> Didn't say a word to me. She said, "I'm good." Boom.
>> She was a no word objection.
>> I'm good. Boom. This lead was set behind a gated community because it was done over the phone. Virtual virtual sales is the future. Definitely no soliciting in this neighborhood. So, we're going to Oh, it's the biggest house on the block, too, dude. Come get me some. Yum, yum. Gage Mahal. This is a good one. All right, team. We might even have some damage down here. Definitely got a discontinued. I'm going to call him. See, see if we can get him on the phone. Let's fly the drone. All right. So, he's probably busy, not available.
