Updated 2026 NFL Mock Draft | Combine Risers & Fallers

The NFL combine is over. Free agency starts next week. So, we are in this period, these days of uncertainty. But we must, we have to complete a mock draft for all of you because there have been movers, there have been changers, there have been shakers, there have been risers, and there have been fallers.

We're going to handle it all here. Hayden, you have the odds, I have the evens. It's our first combo mock of the year.

Let's go. Yeah, we're totally back. Can't wait to go through this and then rip it all apart uh after free agency starts next week. But you talked about it up, down, after the combine, all these guys. We've kind of rearranged our rankings.

And then after that wave of players and movement is over, we have our NFL draft profiles hitting the channel. We hit 46 of them last year of your favorite wide receivers and running backs and tight ends and quarterbacks. We're going to run it back again this year. We'll kick things off, Hayden, with the Las Vegas Raiders. Who are they selecting at number one overall?

This will be Fernando Mendoza. I think it should be. I just wanted to address one thing. I've seen the take out there from a lot of people that the Tai Simpson film in the first, you know, eight, 10 games before he got injured was better than the Fernando Mendoza take. I I think it's just ridiculous. Like the throws that Fernando Mendoza is able to make down the field and his size and then also his ability to break some tackles I think was just always multiple tiers above Ty Simpson who I do think has some accuracy problems throwing over the middle and you just look at his frame and stuff where even if you think that Ty Simpson was able to get to maybe more throws in that system, I always thought that Fernando Mentosa tape was much better. So I just wanted to get that over over with. Uh, even the beginning part of the season, Fernando Mendoza to me looked a lot better than the Tai Simpson film I was watching.

Very excited about Mendoza's arm fitting with Clint Kubak, who we know with the New Orleans Saints. It was downfield shot after downfield shot. We know that happened with the Seattle Seahawks. On top of it, we did talk about in our stats video where how Fernando Modoza just simply has not taken snaps under center throughout his college career in terms of play action. Uh, excited to see that transpire here moving forward. Jeff Spyac did mention though at the combine that he is not in favor of rookies starting immediately. We'll see if that changes when like it's Kenny Picket of the other quarterback versus Hernando Mendoza.

Okay. I have the Jets at number two and obviously there's no quarterback worthy of the number two overall selection. I'm just going to lead with this pick is going to be Arll Reese in this mock draft. Uh we know the Jets just traded away Germaine Johnson to the Tennessee Titans. got back a big bodied younger Tovandre Sweat in return to play on the interior. Today I went back and watched a bunch of these prospect interviews from the combine either at the podium or on these other podcasts and programs and Arvar Ree said two things. First he said that teams have asked him where he wants to play and that's at outside linebacker edge. And then another interview, I think it was PFT, he was asked where do teams envision you and he said outside linebacker and edge, saying that he played about 50% here or there. Uh so I think opposite Will McDonald on this defense, he can be the one that can drop in some situations and rush in others and kind of play this hybrid role and is right now more of an edge than his running mate Sunny Styles is. Yeah, definitely on on tape. He's gonna be the guy that walks up the line of scrimmage and rush the passer a little bit more. I do think he's a good scheme fit. They talked about this the 34 system because they have a new defensive line coach and that trade that we talked about for an edge rusher versus a nose tackle and sweat I think backs that up. And I think for Ree, you have Will McDonald being the the light uh speed rusher. And then Arval Ree will be a linebacker who also is going to rush the passer on about half of his snaps, which is exactly how I would use him. That's how Matt Patricia largely uses him. He's not an edge rusher like Micah Parsons is. He's going to play a lot more linebacker, but looking at the Jets roster, he's the body type that they need in particular. I think that David Bailey would be a lot closer to the Will McDonald stuff where I think Arll Reese is more of this hybrid type of player, which is exactly what the system and what the Jets roster needs.

Number three, Arizona Cardinals.

This is a very tough one. They've got needs everywhere. Just look at their roster. I'm looking at the right tackle spot, which could be Spencer Fondo or Francis Malinoa. Uh, but I'm also looking at the linebacker spot and I'll just go right to it. Sunny Styles is going to be my answer here. I would definitely view him as a riser. We knew he was going to be athletic. He went absolutely crazy in the drills at the combine. On top of that, a lot of the reports were which player interviewed the best across the board. There was a lot of people that said Sunny Styles. And they do need a middle linebacker type. He was the green dot. He relayed the information from Matt Patricia. He's pro ready. I think he's going to be the next Fred Warner with a little bit of development because he's coming from the safety spot. He's that good of a prospect to me and I would be pretty surprised if he's not the second, third, fifth or seventh overall pick in this draft. No longer are the days that the Bengals or somebody like that are going to get him.

Sal's off the board. Robert Salah is a bit disgusted by that here at number four overall. You mentioned Fred Warner. I'm sure Robert Salah would like to coach the next Fred Warner. And heck, even if Arva Ree was here, I think that would still be a possibility. We know how much Robert Salah loves those wide pass rushers just get up the field pure athleticism or play him off the ball.

Since neither of those players are off the board, I understand Ruben Bane is and he is probably the best pure rusher in this class. His strength is outrageous. I know Caleb DS has been mentioned as a cornerstone piece of an NFL defense. Instead, at number four overall, I'm taking Jeremiah Love, the running back, out of Notre Dame. And the reason being, I'm going down this list. The Jets have been heavily linked to running backs so far this off seasonason. People mentioning a maybe signing of Ken Walker or a draft pick of Jeremiah Love. After that, Washington Commanders Jeremiah Love potentially Kansas City Chiefs Jeremiah Love potentially. This pick has to help has to help Cam Ward and just get playmakers on offense in some form or some fashion. So would I take a wide receiver or Kenyan Sadiq here? Doubtful. Could the team also save over $7 million by cutting Tony Pard? Yes. Do they already have huge investment in the offensive line? Absolutely. So to me in this class taking Jeremiah Love at fourth overall with a new head coach and a new play caller on top of it does make sense.

I can definitely see this one happening. I think the big debate is just do they have enough edge rush depth obviously having trading for Germaine Johnson is step one into that. But I think they can add a couple of these guys. It just comes down to like David Bailey and stuff for Robert Salah or is it more important to help Cam Ward uh out here and get a lot more burst at running back position. I do think that Jeremiah Love is in that Ashton Genty tier who's going to go top 10 in this draft class.

Yeah, I could totally see Dave David Bailey.

We certainly did not get any agilityities out of him, but his straight line point A to point B speed is simply ludicrous. Uh, and Robert can eat that up, but I'm going to go Jeremiah Love in this iteration. That brings us to number five and the New York Giants.

They're in a tough spot. I think that Sunny Styles would make a lot of sense for them as well. Uh, I was at one point thinking Carnell Tate can go at this high. Maybe he's down one tier. Uh, I'm going to go with the right guard, right tackle prospects. That's Francis Malaninoa, the big guy, or Spons Spencer Fondo, who's a better athlete, but who's a little bit smaller, because both the right guard and right tackle are pending free agents. I'm going to go with Spencer Fanu here. Uh, and we'll see if they're going to put him at guard or tackle depending on if they uh resign their current players. So after free agency, we'll have a lot more details of exactly which spot they need here, but some view Spencer Fondo as a guard because of arm length. I viewed Francis Minoa as a guard because of foot quickness. They're really polar opposite players, but I do think that their tape was outstanding. They have a lot of clear pros out there. So I would help Jackson Dart here and go through the trenches in the first draft with Harbaugh.

Yeah, we know Germaine Aluminor is a free agent. Maybe he comes back, maybe he doesn't. Um, you mentioned it here with Spencer Fono. He has all right tackle experience over the last few years. Did play left tackle in 2023. Um, so that is certainly part of the conversation whenever we talk about where some of these tackles uh can play. All right, so Spencer Fono is your pick here at number five. That brings me to the Cleveland Browns at number six. Again, I see Ruben Bane there. I see Caleb DS there. What I see is just tremendous offensive line issues to the point where I don't know if the Todd Monkin le offense can function at this moment if they trotted out their roster on an NFL field. Maybe this changes in free agency. And yes, we've already seen, you know, a trade for Titus Howard and extension on top of this. Now it gets interesting. What player should be selected? I'm going to go Monroe Fearing out of Georgia here with this selection. Um, another 21 years of age, big program, outstanding athlete, uh, it has to be a premium position here, I believe. Yes.

With Andrew Barry and if the quarterback of the future cannot be had in the 2026 NFL draft, I think Barry and Mon will at least look to solidify one of the offensive line pieces. And uh Freeling, I think we should all not lock him in, but make it a real possibility that a top 10 pick is in his sights.

I moved into 12th overall on my rankings, like fully acknowledging that he has some like technique issues that he needs to sort out. The hard part is he's a left tackle from Georgia, early Declare, who's 6'7, who's also a very good athlete. Like, if you want to take a chance to find the next AllPro, Pro Bowl left tackle, guess where you find those guys? inside the top 10 usually. So, I do think Monroe Freeling, he's interesting because he's actually the left side. There's a lot of right tackles uh in this class. Uh Monroe Freeling might be the consensus top left tackle be him and Proctor who both of those guys have a lot of ups and downs in their profile. So, this is going to be a fascinating decision where most people would say that Caleb DS is definitely the better player, but left tackles are a lot more important and he has at least the the skill set zooming out that potentially match it. Yeah, I just don't see Andrew Barry if he has a choice and if these players are, you know, major needs moving off of a left tackle in his mind for a safety.

All right, pick number seven, Washington Commanders.

I'm looking at edge rusher. They've got a couple pending free agents. They could just not rush the passer enough. And I'm just going to go Ruben Bane here. They're going to have the arm length concerns obviously, but uh Francis Malinoa who blocked Bane for years at Miami. He said that the big thing with Ruben Bane is not just his strength, it's his ability to bend. And that's where I think Ruben Bane doesn't have to use the arms nearly as much is because he can actually turn the corner and bend. So, I think he might like he's no longer in consideration for the second overall pick. He might be more in this range, but I would be very surprised if he fell even past like the the the Chiefs and the Bengals, I still think he's going to be a top 10 pick. And looking at the commander depth chart right now, uh I see edge rusher as a big need. So, I think this all can be a Jeremy or Jeremiah Love uh spot and we talked about that with Coach Speak Index, but if he's gone by this point, you're going to have to pick out some flaws and I would rather do it with an edge rusher.

Pick number eight, the New Orleans Saints. I think they're in a great spot here. I mean, the two names that pop out to me are either David Bailey or Carninal Tate. I mean, at wide receiver, outside of Chris Olive, sure they traded, you know, multiple picks for Devon last year, uh, but having Carell Tate and Chris Olive, I think is an outstanding combo. At the same time, maybe they believe wide receiver is more viable outside of round one than someone like David Bailey is as a pure edge rusher. Chase Young after, you know, leaving the Washington Commanders mainly due to injuries, has just been a fantastic signing and now extension with the New Orleans Saints, but having him like a real running mate here with Cameron Jordan's future maybe influx here just makes a lot of sense to me. So, I'm I'm going to pick uh the Texas Tech edge rusher in David B.

This is about as far as he can fall. I think the big debate with him is just how much run defense are you getting from him. But I do think that they have a like Chase Young being the counterpart is gonna help answer that. So David Bailey is going to be a top eight pick. No problem.

Pick number nine. Very weird seeing this team this early with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Yeah. So I got in trouble from the Schwarzes that we talked about in the podcast for mocking them a potential right tackle. I didn't even throw out a mock draft. I was just like, "Hey, they cut Jawan Taylor. Francis Malinoa could possibly be there." They said, "Do not mock Francis Minoa there." So, I'm looking at him right in the face and the Schwarzes are yelling me out at me to not do it. I'm going to give them Carnell Tate. He's just exactly what the rest of the wide receiver group is. It's the exact opposite of that. So, we have somebody that can stretch the field a little bit, not based off of size, but because he's an actually good route runner, uh, and he can go win at the catch point. So Carnell Tate, he probably was actually maybe even a combine winner because instead of being drafted to the Browns or the Commanders, he might have just fallen to ninth overall, which means for the rest of his career, he gets paired up with Patrick Mahomes.

He's a faller. He's also a winner here. Uh if he's selected at ninth overall, that brings us to 10th overall. And the Cincinnati Bengals, I really wanted to give them Dylan Theamman in here, the you know, Oregon and Purdue safety. We talked about it during his early days at Purdue. Tons of range in the back half. Then at Oregon, they played this 3-35. He worked between those safeties and the linebackers and really attack downhill. Just a freak athlete. Uh but Caleb DS is staring at me in the face. Now, a lot of people might say, "Wow, there are a lot of offensive linemen on the board. Why not pick one of them?" Cincinnati actually has all five of their starters returning this year after >> just ressigning Daltton Risner to an extra deal. So, I think the Bengals for once in my lifetime are kind of set >> along along the offensive line and they can attack in in other spaces and we know defense is just a major major need for them. So, I'm going to go with Caleb DS here.

Yeah, I really like that one. The Bengals were number one in short yardage success rate rushing the ball last year, which is a sign that their offensive line is actually back, which is good news for them.

So, Caleb DS is the pick. That brings us to number 11 and the Miami Dolphins.

This is where I'll just link up Francis Mainoa uh staying in Miami to the Dolphins. And this would give them their fifth young offensive lineman. Uh they've obviously been drafting a bunch of them recently. He would be a guard for them. And then they would have Austin Jackson be there as the potential right tackle. So, they have a a pending free agent at guard. Um, and this would give the next quarterback, which is probably going to come in 2027, a starting five that's under contract, young, athletic, and even powerful. Uh, that would be a really good foundation for a new general manager, head coach to at least set the floor of what this offense is going to be. And obviously, this would be music to Devon Aan's ears.

Yeah. I mean, they have Patrick Paul at left tackle and then Jonah Savina uh at left guard who was >> to put it kindly hit or miss last year. I mean, some some of the worst can't move your feet tape. Uh I watched and maybe he improved as the season went along.

Next to him, Aaron Brewer, one of the best centers in the NFL.

They really tried to rotate at right guard and really couldn't figure anything out after the James Daniel signing just simply did not work. He got injured in like the first series of last year. Cole Strange, former Patriots, first round pick, filled in at right guard. And then, yeah, at right tackle, it's your guy, the Trojan, Austin Jackson, who was very young entering the NFL, signed extension with them. Uh, but we'll see. We'll see. So, yeah, just filling in that right guard spot to maybe eventually move over to right tackle makes a lot of sense for this pick.

Brings us to number 12 and the Dallas Cowboys. I mean, I just see corners across the board here.

Good news. Good news for a team that really needs a quarterback. There are some corners available.

Um I mean you've got Mansour Delane out of LSU. I'll repeat the stat. Just 13 receptions allowed last year. None to a wide receiver on multiple occasions. So the most a pass catcher caught against him was one. One in a single game of last year.

Seems good.

And I know other people really like Jam McCoy based on his 2024 stuff. uh he did suffer an ACL injury at the end of that season, did not play at all this year, missed uh the entire senior bowl and then set out the NFL combine. Um so Hayden, based on that, I am just going to go with uh let's say this team's ownership's uh new Morris Clayborn in Mansor Lane.

Well, this is also the team that drafted Siobhan Rall who had the torn ACL. So I think would they double dip and have the same problem on their on their hands? That's where I'm leaning towards Monsour Delane.

All right, we'll take Delane there. I also, again, I mentioned this when we talked through these prospects at the combine. Avon Terrell to me, like the more I watch these quarterbacks, the more I think, man, this dude is just freaking smooth. And I think he probably measured a bit longer than people were expecting. Uh, so I'm not saying he's going to be quarterback one, but I think the gap might have closed a little bit in people's minds. So, Delane goes there. That brings us to pick number 13, which the LA Rams have via the Atlanta Falcons.

So, first off, I think the Rams are going to get interesting either before the draft in trading one of their first round picks for a stud veteran or a team that's definitely threatening to move up the board as they go allin right now. I do think if they stand here and pick, there's kind of a top 12 consensus, which I think is all the names we kind of threw out there, and then it's kind of a pick your your flavor. I think Dylan Theene's tape and then obviously what he did at the combine was so out of control and I'm looking if Cam Curl the free the free agent hits the market and gets paid too much for the Rams. They're going to be looking for safeties who have the smarts to run the system a lot of zone stuff but also has the the ability to work downhill to help out in the run game. That's the exact scouting report for Dylan. I like that you mentioned him as a potential Bengals fit at 10th overall. That's probably his the highest he's going to go. I do think that his tape and his athletic profile is so clean that I think a lot of people are going to have trouble uh finding more surefire picks in the teens. And I do think that he would be a great fit with the Rams. And just want to lastly point out the Enamman comes from Dan Lanning's uh system. That's like the new version of like the Kirby Smarts and stuff. like this is like a top top top tier defensive-minded head coach and if he single-handedly picked out the end in the transfer portal and then gave him all the responsibilities that he had at Oregon, I know the teams in the NFL are going to absolutely love him.

Can I pitch something to you and I know you're not going to change it. Um, few years back it was reported that the Rams were working to trade up in order to select Brock Bowers. Last year they wanted to move up to potentially either get Tedo McMillan or Coulson Loveland. I know they took my guy Ter.

Exactly.

Terrence Ferguson last year in round two. I think he had some flashes. He definitely needs some development.

Any interest here in Kenyan Sadi?

He was on my short list. I had both of the other corners as well. They they need a bunch of corners. So McCoy was on my list. If Delane was available, he was going to be my selection there. I think with Sadi, there's a little bit too much of an overlap with Terren Ferguson. like Terence Ferguson's got like the runaway speed I think Sadiq is kind of offering there. So maybe it's a little bit too much. They got something out of Kobe Parkinson already. So uh I would not rule it out. I just liked the looking at the secondary I liked it a lot more for the Rams.

The reason I keep saying that is you know I believe Shawn McVey in Washington had Jordan Reed. Shawn McVey as soon as he got to the Rams their first pick was Gerald Everett. He's kind of been again searching and wanting to move up. who's just never been in this category to select him and that type like here at number 13 overall Sadi is like a sweet spot sweet spot player and of all the offenses for him to play in 13 12 11 all of it all of it for Kenyan Sadi but you're uh going with the vanilla route going with Dylan

I mean 41inch vertical vanilla whatever you calling that

uh okay here we are with the Baltimore Baltimore Ravens, they need to get vintage Ravens here in this pick and this off season. I mean, where they're at right now among their offensive linemen, it's it's really tailed off as of late. Uh I mean, they might lose Tyler Linderbomb to center because his agent doesn't want to respond to texts and just wants like a $25 million per year offer.

It sounds like we know Daniel Falle uh was not good and is also a free agent. We know Vorhees at left guard. Uh is a former seventh round pick. Um I'm looking at a whole bunch of players here, but the one who really stands out if I can get to the interior offensive lineman is Vega Ione out of Penn State. Um I think he is the most onetoone fit here and again is like vintage Baltimore rates.

He really is vintage Baltimore. This is probably There's no such thing as a floor in the NFL draft, but like realistic floor, I do think this would make a lot of sense. He was a powerful guy at Penn State, but they would also give him those kind of lead blocking roles at like tight end or fullback where all of a sudden here he comes just annihilating guys. So, I think he's a decent athlete, but you're really getting him for just his ability to pass protect and super physical in every single way. So, like if you're like ranking highest floor prospects in the draft, Vega, Vega would be absolutely one of them. And the Ravens could use one of those types.

And I know you took Spencer Fano a lot earlier. I do want to note that Daniel Jeremiah reported that he went through center drills after all the offensive linemen were done. That's like kind of Graham Bartonesque um coming out of coming out of Duke. So

I think Spencer Fano could literally be selected for any of the five offensive line spots.

Yes. Yeah. I think all of the guys in this class I think I think you can make the same argument with Malan Noah.

That brings us to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at number 15 overall.

Yes, I think best player available. This is where like the Mai Lemon stuff starts to kind of fall down, but man, they have so many of that same exact type of body in the room already. So, I wonder if you have to pass on him once again. I'm looking at the edge rushing class and this is kind of a pick your own uh battle here with Kellrick Fall. Meador is 25 years old but I thought had like the best pass rush plan out of everybody. TJ Parker's kind of in in the middle of all of that. I don't think Cash's house is going high. They definitely need some help in the secondary. Man, I think I'm going to go with Messador just because this is probably the last year Todd BS has realistically. If you look at the Baker Mayfield contract, just look to see where the team is at. And they probably nearly fired Bulls a couple times in the last couple years. Mesador is old, but he's powerful and he can kind of move inside and out, which you kind of need in this this defense. He can play a little D end. He play a little stand up offball uh backer, too. And I just think that he had a better like side to side ability than the other guys he's being drafted around. So obviously the debate 25-year-old versus legitimately a 20-year-old in Keldendrick Faulk that I just think that the Buccaneers are ready to go right now and maybe they're the team to make the exception.

Look, we were all surprised when they selected Emech Ibuka last year in round one after, you know, resigning Chris Godwin and we know Jay McMillan coming off of his rookie season. Um, I don't know if we'll be as surprised about the selection in round one this year from Jason Light, who by the way, is doing a phenomenal job, I think, of just building up the roster here with Tampa because whoever they resign or the positions that they do sign in for free for free agency, I think is going to tell their hand of what their big need is heading into the draft. I mean, it could be tighten Aiden. I mean, Kateton is a free agent here. After that, it's like Durham Payne and that's it, right? Then edge rushers, it's Hassan Reic is a free agent. That free agent signing didn't really work out. And it's just Yaya Dyabi uh at the edge rushing spot. And then at linebacker like Levante David's a free agent, Anthony Walker is a free agent. Deion Jones is a free agent. It's just Dennis and their linebacker group last year really was not it for long periods of time. So if you want to go with me right now, that's fine. Uh I am just kind of struggling to figure out a piece here for uh Kenan Sadi. Well, that's the hard part with Sadiq is you he's not going to be Kotten in the ground game. So, you're going to have to like live with the pros and cons of that type of profile and not every single team is structured to use the tight end and some teams have you know enough already at that position and you start looking at the trenches and all of a sudden some other guys might go ahead of them even if we coming off a crazy combine.

That brings me to pick number 16 here with the New York Jets. Um they trade away Sauce Gardner. Why not just refill this with another quarterback? I'll make this quick. I'll go Germa McCoy. I think their quarterback depth, while they, you know, have some fine starters at maybe one or two of the positions, could use a top top player. Uh, and again, not every team is going to love drafting a guy that hasn't played football in a year, and we don't know what the medical reports are going to be. It sounds like he has cleared for all football activities at this point, but uh, I think Aaron Glenn needs him at least one quarterback with, uh, some of the press coverage he's going to run.

Yeah. Again, if Aaron Glenn was sleeping throughout the entire combine, McCoy wasn't out there, so he didn't miss anything.

He wasn't sleeping by the by the way. He was probably looking and reading just to back him up for a second.

There goes Jer McCoy. Detroit Lions at number 17.

Well, we all keep, you know, comparing Mai Lemon to Monro St. Browns. I think that would be a little bit too much to double dip there. Um, I'm going to look at left tackle because, you know, their starting left tackle is like on the verge of retirement. when he says he's going to come back, but he's still not the same player. They were not very good up front. How about Kaden Proctor? He was one of the guys had the most to gain or lose at the combine because there was at one point he was over 400 lb. I kind of set the the higher lower on his weight at like three in the 368 range. He comes out there and dunks all over me. 352 and if you see it in the agilities, he was moving very very well out in the drills and then he also jumped 32 and a half inches in the vert. I think you just look at the pedigree and talk about top five overall prospect uh in his recruiting class and what the flashes if you want to grade his best moments are. I do think that the Lions would be a great landing spot for him. You get the juice back going, keep him at that weight, him and Penny will be a lot of fun over there and I don't think that Dan Campbell is going to allow the trenches to be what they were this last season.

There it is. Yeah, I mean, they just have to get right offensively and I think a lot of the questions were about the offensive line in general and then we didn't get it until after Brad Holmes and Dan Cable had their press conference that Taylor Decker was even coming back at left tackle. So, they have to figure out the future and selecting a player at 17 overall because heck, they don't want to select 17 overall anymore uh at left tackle is probably the play. That brings us to 18 and the Minnesota Vikings. They have so many contracts they have to move around. I mean, there's a list of potential needs here. Wide receiver three, they might need tight end one with TJ Hawinson potentially cut here coming up. Agree.

They need a center with Brian Kelly certainly being iffy. The rest of the offensive line is signed though. They need a running back. On top of that, it could be an interior defensive lineman with questions around everyone really not named Jaylen Redmond. And could this be Caleb Banks? Could it be Peter Woods? What's the future of Jonathan Grenard? I mean, you can move around his money, too. I don't know, man. I just want to see Kevin Oonnell and Kenyan Sadiq. So, uh, that's where we're going to go with this pick. Yeah, you get all those runaway routes for Kenyan Sadique. And I do think that T.J. Hawinson's, if he's not a cut candid, I do think that team should be trading for TJ Hawinson. And they also, the other big elephant in the room is like Jordan's just always in the news for reasons to not be in the news for. So, I I do think that Mai Lemon where it maybe is too much right now. Looking at the roster, you start kind of looking at uh Naylor in free agency, Hawinson being released, Aaron Jones being released, then all of a sudden you have Gino Smith throw into a bunch of who knows what's. I do think that skill positions actually in in a week from now will end up being a big need.

So, have you already put Gino Smith in this roster? Is did you just do that?

I mean, I I'm doing I looked at the reports. You you called it a couple like what last month and it just makes so much sense and that's what the scuttlebutt is around Indianapolis.

It it does make a lot of sense and I think Josh Oliver is like the perfect pairing here for Kenyan Sadi. The Minnesota Vikings do run quite a bit of 12 personnel. They are are not averse to doing that. And you and I believe that Kenyan Sadi's run blocking profile. Not underrated per se, but it's not like a net negative, you know. uh he gets after it. He's feisty. He's competitive. Uh and then you can, you know, split him out and do some really, really fun stuff. So, Kevin Oconor has been a part of some rosters with some like real real good tight ends involved, too. So, I'm going to go with Kenyan Sadique here with the Vikings at number 18. And that brings us to the Carolina Panthers at 19.

Oh, man. Okay. I'm gonna ask you, you're the Panthers guy. Mai Lemon most mock drafts is not sitting here. Is he is there like a little bit too much overlap with like how you're going to use uh the guys that they already have on the roster or would you say we need more just more juice in general and we can move guys to the outside more because that's we saw the best moments from T-Mac inside like it's a lot of the similarish type of styles here if you go with Mai Lemon but at some point just like injecting a lot more juice like this would be pretty helpful.

Well, let me ask you this question. You're the USC guy. Uh I went back and watched all these interviews. Look, some of these prospects just aren't going to be comfortable in front of a microphone. It makes sense. You're 20, 21, 22 years of age. You might not have that much experience with it. Um, has there been any uncomfortability with Mai Liman during his USC career?

Uh, not that I know about. He's really tough on tape as well. He makes some ridiculous catches. I was listening to Dane Bugler and early on in that show he mentioned uh players that would say that they're the toughest guy in the in the draft and their their competes better and then that somebody didn't do the testing and then later on in that episode Den Bugger said yeah Mai Lemon was telling everybody that he's no one's more competitive in the draft cycle and then opted out of the drills and that left a lot of teams a little bit sour. So I do think because you're gonna already have to debate could he play on the outside? Is he more of a slot wide receiver? What's the value in that? and then maybe some teams just don't like the way he interviewed out there. Um, I do think when you get back to the drawing board and look at what he put out on tape and his numbers, he looks pretty dang good. So, I wouldn't be surprised if he fell like into this range, but much further than that, I would be almost stunned.

Yeah. I mean, Panthers, I think, are going to make at least one big splash in free agency at either a linebacker or like an edge rushing spot.

yeah. I mean, third wide is here for them. I mean, the outside guys are going to be Tedro McMillan and it's gonna be Jaylen Coker. And so,

I don't think that there is a roadblock spinning a third straight first round pick on someone like Mai Lemon. He just has to check out with them for being a quote unquote dog because this is what they what they look for. And I can't answer that. Uh, again, someone said he kind of looked like a cobra or a snake that was kind of transfixed.

Yeah. I mean, are we really doing

but are the parent the Panthers the perfect team to be like, "Hey, remember all of the stupid stuff we were doing with T-Mac off the field and he's just a freaking beast and you saw that on tape." I think it's going to be the same thing with Lemon.

I I think someone else here could be CJ Allen line on my list.

Georgia, too. Uh, but if you want to go with Mai Lemon, I am not standing in your way with that one. That is for

Let's go Mai Lemon. I just Let's call the fall. It ends here. Um, and then yeah, they're going to have to figure out exactly where to line up everybody, but that's what you have training camp for. Here we are with the Dallas Cowboys at number 20. We know they took a cornerback earlier. This pick is via the Micah Parsons trade with the Green Bay Packers.

I don't know, Hayden. Who is like the flashy player here? It might be Caleb Banks, but they have so many in right now.

It can't be him. It can't be him. It can't be him. No.

I I do think Dallas and Cayla Banks would either go amazingly well or horrible. and there's like no in between that it could potentially be there with the star on his helmet.

These other names like Kel Faulk don't really do it for me among the edge players and like Cashes Howell as well.

I think that it could be, you know, TJ Parker. I do think the CJ Allen kid, he was a 20 20-year-old from Georgia, played for three seasons for Kirby Smart. He was really smart. Not only was he like translating the the play calls, he was actually like making play calls himself. Like that's how much trust he had. Obviously, they need a lot of help at linebacker. So, this would probably be on the high end of his draft outcomes, but I'm not ruling it out.

I like this one. We know this Cowboys organization has had some dudes at linebacker, and it has seemingly been a while since then. And yeah, I mean, they had to run out. Kenneth Murray on the field last year. Uh, and then like Deario Overshone was showing a lot before his injury and hopefully he gets back to even 90% of what he previously was. Uh, so sure, let's go with CJ Allen here out of Georgia. Pick 21 and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

So, in my notes, it's a bunch of corners and receivers, you know, just looking at the the weaknesses on the roster right now. So, um, let's give them Tyson. I was looking at the wide receiver group and it's just so bad in general. Now, Jordan Tyson's going to be interesting because he has a big-time knee injury in his past, then was dealing with hamstring injuries. I didn't hear anything from him at the NFL combine aside from watching him on the bench press, which by the way, 26 reps for him, uh, was very impressive whether he was, you know, humping the air or not. Very, very, uh, impressive result for him. But on tape, the Flashes, if you want to grade to the Flashes, like some people think he could be a top 10 pick. I didn't necessarily see it that way, but I think generally a lot of people have a lot of faith in him. I think he would be a very good compliment to DK Mechaf, who's more of a linear guy, where Tyson's a more like jitterbug, side to side, flashy route runner type. I think that'd be a good combination between the top two.

All right, Jordan Tyson is the pick there at 21. That brings us to the LA Chargers at pick number 22. I mean, the big need here is the guard center guard combo. They have absolutely nothing there. I did see a report that like Zion Johnson's gonna get paid a lot of money in this free just because he's young. Like just because he's young and that's it.

First and young. Yeah.

All right. Um hopefully those people watched him. Uh, you know, a third big defensive lineman for them would work. Another edge rusher because they both have Cleo Mack and Odaf Ooway are free agents. Um, let's look at that edge spot. I mean, I think Kelrick Faulk is an interesting name. Cashes Howell and I just can't like get over this.

Not for Harbaugh.

Yeah. Not not for Harbaugh for me. Um, and then you have Caleb Banks. And I mean, I would love

to just like figure this thing out because if so, then you have like a potentially difference maker that is tough to find at pick 22 overall.

I think he's the type of body that they need, man. Like if they're going to be a little bit light in the box, like get yourself a 66230 guy. You're going to have to figure out exactly why the run numbers are the way they are. But Harbaugh is like, you know, it's it's the traits and the size. We kept hearing that about Joe Walt and stuff. And like who's bigger than freaking Caleb Banks up the middle and he has Tyer Tart maybe playing next to him. And Tyer Tart's had like a rocky NFL career himself. Has had really good moments and really bad moments and has really figured it out and he got an extension. So, uh, let's give let's give the LA

Chargers the frightening, uh, Caleb Banks here at number 22 overall. What can go wrong?

That brings us to the 23rd pick, and that's the Philadelphia Eagles. Yeah. So, my instincts are always trenches here, but I'm also looking at that, you know, secondary where that cornerback two spot has been so bad for a while. So, you can pull up the the top corners, but my favorite of the remaining is actually Colton Hood, the other Tennessee corner, who his vertical was in the 40s. He was 444 flat. He's really physical and making a bunch of tackles as well. So, I think he kind of has like he can hit the ground running and really fit what this team needs obviously between Cooper Deene and Quinn Mitchell. I just think that he's a really clean prospect and I do think that he would be a massive upgrade versus what they have on the depth chart currently. So, obviously if there's a great edge rusher that they like or a great right tackle that they want for the future, sure. Um, but I do think Colton Hood is gonna help the 2026 roster the most.

Wow. So, you listen to me say nice things about Avon Terrell and it went out the other ear or you just simply don't care care and you're like, we're going to take the guy who is projected later in Colton Hood? Well, I'm not sure if Colton Hood's going later. We'll see.

That brings us to 24th overall and the Cleveland Browns who just remind you earlier took left tackle Monroe Freeling. I mean, I think their offensive line is in such a spot where they could take another offensive lineman here. Um, now again, we have seen Titus Howard play guard and tackle in his past. So, Lomu or Blake Miller could be a potential hit here. At the same time, at some point, this team needs to like have some, I think, wide receivers. Uh, you look at Denzel Boston, look at Casey Conpsion, you look at Omar Cooper as well. Uh, I'm looking at Todd Monkin. I could see any of these players fitting here, but someone who can like manufacture some yards after the catch. Hayden, I I really want to lean Omar Cooper Jr. despite him maybe being projected as a later pick than Boston and Conpion in the past. What are your thoughts here?

Yeah, my rankings would have Conpsion, but Omar Cooper's got a bunch of buzz and he did run low 44s, which is maybe a tick faster than I was expecting. kind of inside outside versatility, maybe a little bit more toughness than what they already currently have in the wide receiver group. So, there are some like edge rushers if you want to go with an edge two for them, but uh obviously their wide receiver spot is a disaster.

I think one of the reasons, and this is just my bias, but I want to leave Conpsion on the board, and I know this is uh one of your picks. Rams. No, to me, he is so coded for Kyle Shanahan and the San Francisco 49ers. like just one of those players that is super smooth in his routes, can get down the field. We know their wide receiver room might have a shakeup without Jawan Jennings here. Uh yeah, I think Casey Conpsion is very 49ers coach and I don't know if that's been talked about that much.

Well, he to he's to me Ricky Pawol, but a lot better and more physical in in in my opinion. Very similar type of player. So, I could see that. Um, should or would the Browns think of Tai Simpson with this selection at 24th overall?

Um, it's possible. I do think that they're going to do the Deshaawn Watson and Shador Sanders thing and like some, you know, Tyrod Taylor type of person, but Daniel Jeremiah doesn't just talk stuff out of thin air on the on television and he kept saying like it's probably gonna be Deshun Watson. So, I'm not sure if that was something that he picked up while while listening to people. If you look at the contract, he's not he's going to be on the roster and he can't be on injured reserve because he's gonna be healthy. So, he's going to be on the active game day roster. Um, are they just going to say like one more chance with Deshun Watson? Uh, I'm not ruling it out.

And he doesn't have that much experience at the college level in comparison to maybe what Andrew Barry would would love for that. Uh, my other question, if I don't take Tyson here, are you going to take him later in the round one because he needs to go in round one, I believe.

Well, I have about like five or six players that I think would fit for each of the teams I was um responsible for. I did not write his name down a singleton.

That's why we do this early mock because I I think at some point he will go in round one, but who knows? Okay, so if we go back, I am going to give Omar Cooper Jr. to the Cleveland Browns and frustrate Cleveland Twitter. Next, Chicago Bears pick 25. So, this is where anybody on the defensive line makes sense. Anybody at linebacker makes sense. They have decisions to make at corner and safety as well. So, I think the entire defense is up for grabs. I also think left tackle is up for grabs. the top left tackles have gone already here. So, I'm back to the defensive line and I'm going to give them Kellrick fall here. Uh can play inside or outside. He would probably be their edge three and then also be able to be on the field with all three of the edge rushers depending on where he's going to line up. He's really young. He kind of reminds me of the Mel Williams profile who went what, like 11th overall last year. We didn't get the freaky testing that Mike Williams um was able to show. So, um, he might kind of fall into this range, but I do think he's kind of a surefire firstrounder. And Dan Brooker also mentioned that Faulk was like on like the edge of being a true firstround grade or not. He had only about like like 12 to 15 of those where he typically has 18 to 20. Um, so I do think this is probably the bottom of his range. So, let's get him off the board.

Pick 26. That is the Buffalo Bills. Another team that has a lot to do in these upcoming weeks. Uh, I'm expecting them to add some type of veteran wide receiver, either through a trade or in free agency. Their center and their left guard are both free agents. They have multiple defensive line and edge rushers that are free agents. Linebacker always a question versus the run for this team. I mean, I think you can argue that Shaq Thompson was their best linebacker last year. Uh, but the player I'm gonna go with here is just solid across the board and that's kind of been the edge rushing type that Brandon Bean has been drafting. I'm gonna go with Clemson's TJ Parker at pick 26 for the Bills.

I think he's going to be somebody the NFL is just going to appreciate more. His numbers don't wow you, but he's 21 years old, kind of a speed to power player, long arms, you know, that's a foundation of the NFL pass rush. He can play all the downs. So, uh, he would be the Joey Bosa replacement. I think that he would make a lot of sense for for this team.

That brings us to pick 27 and the San Francisco 49ers. So, I hear you on the wide receivers. Um, Denzel Boston would be the, you know, he's not Branday because he doesn't have the speed. He's not Jawan Jennings because he's going to play a little bit more outside, but, you know, somewhere in between those two types. Does he have enough juice to for sure be a firstrounder? I think that's where we run into some of the issues with Denzel Boston. He is somebody I had written down. Uh I had the defensive tackles written down as well. Um, how about let's go Peter Woods for them. Peter Woods is fascinating. This would be a fall. I think the fall could even go further than this. He is light. He did not test. There was a really weird season out of him. His pass rushing numbers don't reflect how good of an athlete he looks like. I was just looking back the defensive line is just not nearly good enough rushing the passer last year and obviously a bunch of the injuries explain that but their defensive tackles a position that the Niners consistently go after has been lacking recently and Peter Woods would give them a little bit more juice up the middle. Yeah, I mean the 49ers, you know, previously spent quite a bit on Javon Hargrave previously and then since then their defensive tackles. It's like Jordan Elliot. They're not going to pick up the uh option on Kalia Davis. They did like fourth and second round picks on Alfred Collins and CJ West, but having another body here, uh, yeah, could make some sense.

Peter Woods, by the way, I went and watched his 2024. It was better. He did play more like purely on the edge. I think it's because they had, you know, other dudes. Uh, he just moved better, I felt, in 2024 versus 2025.

There's a lot of more work to do, that's for sure.

Okay, that brings us to the Houston Texans at pick number 28. Again, we already have a video on the Dave Montgomery trade for a fourth round pick plus. They need to go offensive line and somehow someway there are still some offensive lineman still available here and it can be any spot but uh I'm gonna give them probably Blake Miller unless you want to talk me into Caleb Lomu here or he's left side as well.

So yeah, so three distinctly different players. So Lomu is a left tackle, good athlete. Blake Miller's played a million snaps as the career record at at uh Clemson and he's a right tackle. And then is a right tackle and a freak athlete but started playing football in college. So maybe he's not going to hit the ground running. I always just think Blake Miller Texans like it makes so much sense. Uh the elephant in the room is what do you do with the other Blake right tackle that they drafted a couple years back. Have they given up on him? I think that's fair to to question. Maybe he's the right tackle this year, but I think that Blake Miller would be plugandplay. And he's actually really long and I think fairly athletic, too. I mean, they already drafted a massive body at left tackle last year in the second round and Aronte Ursery as well. So, let's give them a Blake Miller out of Clemson.

That brings us to the Rams at pick number 29. There's a lot of buzz here for Ty Simpson. Uh, yeah, there there is, but not to me. I don't know how that one makes sense. Just like you're trying to win right now. Like, there's other developmental guys. I'm not sure if Ty Simpson's exactly, you know, like the same type of fit for uh Shawn McVey personally. Um, but the guys that are like kind of falling, I think Terrell is going to go round one. I think that Kaden McDonald has a chance to go round one. If I'm just looking at the the list here, man, I really like Conpsion. I really like You know what? Let's give them Terrell. They need corner help. Um, I think Terrell is going round one based on what we saw last year. And if you look at their free agents, like all the guys that were playing poorly last year, also free agents. Like they have like nobody ready to go. Like you mentioned with Terrell though, he looked a little bit smaller on tape, but if you look at all the first round corners, they're all 5'11, 188, you know, with the same exact length. So I don't think we can knock Terrell that much. And I think that his mirror skills were pretty clean and he wants to get after it in the in the ground game as Well, I just think he has like the same crazy explosiveness and maybe that makes him a late round one guy, but um I think Terrell would make a lot of sense for them.

Yeah, for a secondary that definitely had some issues last year, uh having a draft where you go Dylan Theamman at pick 13 and then Avon Terrell uh here at pick 29. That's one way to rework it.

Yes, for sure. Yep.

Just three picks to go. Here we are with the uh Denver Broncos who had some bad luck to end the season with their quarterback breaking his foot slash ankle just ahead of the AFC Championship. Um, by the way on the Dave Montgomery thing, I don't know if you saw this, Ben Albbright reported that maybe they were a 11th hour phone call to Detroit to try to get Dave Montgomery and that's why it jumped from a fifth rounder to a fourth rounder. I was wondering because when I showed up to do the show with you, the trade details had refreshed and you were hitting with new trade details and I had fifth round pick and then all of a sudden you're throwing in juice scrubs uh as I was live there. So, I was wondering who was calling who, but that explains it.

That does explain it. Um, so the Cowboys should or excuse me, the Denver Broncos should be looking for a veteran running back once we get to that point. They're I think they're a fascinating team here um from multiple angles, right? I think they could still add wide receiver, you know. Um, I think Shawn Payeyton and Casey Conpion would be a lot of fun. I just realized we just went four straight Clemson Tigers, by the way. I should have shouted that out.

Wow, we did.

On on defense, like, you know, even their first pick, first round pick last year in Jai Baron like couldn't lock down a full-time role for this team. Maybe that's him or maybe it's just, you know, how loaded this team is defensively. Uh John Franklin Myers is going to get a ton of money. I feel like in free agency. I think you can continue to add to the linebacker group here. Hey, I'm trying to buy some time to see if like anyone really stands out to me or to you. Uh I don't know if you can go Emanuel McNeel Warren because you already have uh Huanga on the back half too, right?

Just your overall thoughts here.

Well, first of all, for Clemson first rounders, they went seven and six. So, someone's going to have to explain uh that part of it.

Maybe that's an US problem.

Yeah, it could be. It could be a them problem as well. Um, the Broncos are fascinating because I agree with you. The team needs it's like they don't have a glaring need, but they can upgrade like kind of anything across the board. I do think that Casey Conpsion would kind of be a really fun better version of Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin type. I think a lot more physicality, better like route running. Denzel Boston would be your like air apparent like straight up for Courtland Sudden. I think it's a little bit too much overlap.

He does care about size, man. You know, like he he plays Troy Franklin there in the red zone and Troy Franklin has some, you know, big-time red zone moments. Marvin Mims, we know with the shot plays and stuff, but then the day he like really wanted to play Courtland Sutton and Pat Bryant, right? But I think maybe he's saying Casey Conpsion in the Marvin Mims role. I want to get bigger versus the Marvin Mims is. And it's like we are getting bigger by going with Casey Conpsia. I think he would be interesting. Like would you do the Eli Sters? Is that crazy? Like, is first round like late first rounds too crazy for Eli Sters? Is is Shawn Payeyton the freak to figure out what if he's going to be the next Maris Coloulston? Like do we have like some frame of reference for this? Like would they be wild enough to do it? I don't know.

Oh, that might be a spicy one to keep in mind. At the same time, you know, Sean Grafet gets on the podium and says, "I'm giving Davis Web play calling, but I will also be calling some plays on game days." So, my brain also jumps to, "Well, how much is Davis Webb going to be able to pick what personnel he wants out there on the field, or is it going to be Shawn Payeyton still controlling all of that along with a couple plays and really Davis Webb just gets to yell out what the play call is each and every time?" Yeah, I think it's I don't think Shawn Payne's gonna be seating that much control. He doesn't seem like one of those guys. So, we'll we'll see that that storyline is, you know, something to keep track of. Yeah, I would agree.

But at the same time, it could just be an indication of a year from now Davis Webb is a head coach somewhere else, which I think is absolutely plausible. And maybe Davis Webb is just freaking good at his job and and ready for this that Sean Payeyton is uh is willing to to make that jump. Um, shoot. I love me some Casey Conception despite the drop rate, which I know everyone's going to look at. It's around 11%. I thought a lot of that, a lot of that was just like concentration issues.

Yeah.

Um, man, Shawn Peyton, hey, all he cares about is size, man. Like, he talks about every single time he goes to the podium. Every single time.

But you can't you can't do Denzel Boston, Courtland Sutton, uh, and Pat Bryant. It's like you're going to lose the 4x 100 by a million. Like that's like a pretty redundant.

Then we're going to have fun and uh he's going to figure out the Eli Sters conundrum.

Yeah. I have no idea where Eli Sters is going to go. I mean in my write up in my write up I just keep writing him up as a wide receiver like but yeah, who knows?

Look, is he a tight end? Is he a wide receiver? Is it Jimmy Graham? Is it Maris Coulson? Is it something beyond that? Uh, let's have Shawn Payeyton figure out that riddle. Eli Sters.

All right, this is so reactionary, but that's what this mock draft is for, is pick number 30 here for the Denver Broncos. And now we go to 31 and the New England Patriots.

So, with the Patriots, I got a bunch of edge rushers written down. Um, they kind of go best player available. Similar to the Broncos that they don't have like massive needs anywhere, but they can upgrade like most players on the roster, too. So I think Cash is how looking at the best available according to PFF. I think how's likely to drop out of the first round. I think Denzel Boston is holding on for dear life. I think Denzel Boston would be maybe a little bit redundant to like what you know for example like what Kanan Booty was giving them to some degree. Conpsion would be thank you for your services Steph Diggs and we're moving on and that's what I want to do here. Uh Casey Conpsion I have ranked much higher than this. definitely rooting for him after what he had to post from after the combine. But man, I think that he has like really real route running skills. And not the overly flashy route running skills, but like the just enough flash to get by you. And then let's get back to being serious and just running past everybody. And if he dropped two or fewer of the passes than he did, nobody would be talking about it. And then everybody should be talking about, wow, he was just like lighting up everybody despite having really bad quarterback play. So, I'm a huge fan of Casey Conpsion. Uh, we can move on from Steph Diggs after the draft if needed.

I know he's going at pick 31 here, but Conpion could be like the wide receiver, too, in this class. You know, I agree.

It wouldn't be shocking at all if he's like a top 15 overall selection.

All right, let's close this thing out with the Seattle Seahawks. Um, I mean, they have a bunch of like free agents or guys on the move, right? We'll see what happens with Rasheed Shahi Heat coming up, right? uh Ken Walker at running back. Then on the defensive backfield, it's like Kobe Bryant and Josh Job and obviously Tariq Woolen. And then the edge, it's Boy Maf. Like there's a whole bunch of types here. Um I'm not sure if I'll give them Cashy's Howell or Kaden McDonald. You know, I do wonder if the NFL is going to like someone like Zion Young a little bit more than maybe draft Twitter is at this moment. uh and kind of like his length and his size and being 22 years of age. Yeah, he's somebody that I have just right around the round one border. Uh he's there's just body parts like flailing everywhere on tape. And I mean that as like a compliment and maybe a little bit derogatory there where I'm not sure if he has like a full set plan, but like the movement ability is there, the size is certainly there. And I do wonder that in a couple years from now if he would be the next one to pop off uh with McDonald. I don't think they're going to be able to resign boy Maf just based off of the money edge rushers get. So he might be one of the guys that balances and all of a sudden you're going to need another developmental body and I would not be surprised if the Seahawks are the next team that decides every other year we're drafting a first round ed rusher no matter what.

Brandon Case could also be you know one of the corners on top of this as well. Um,

Yeah. And I think I like him over Cashes Howell. Just looking at how the NFL is probably going to view those guys. I think just off the top of my list here, Caleb Lommo is somebody that I think will most likely go round one. We did not have him listed. Once you get like down far enough, there's not that many teams that need left tackles. So, there's kind of like a sweet spot in that middle where a bunch of the left tackles are going to go. And then if not, you're gonna have to figure out uh the exact landing spot for him. So, but I think largely these are like the guys I think are going to go round one except we had a little fun with uh Eli Sters there, right? That does it. This is all going to change once free for agency hits, but we did want to make sure to have a new mock draft for you reacting to everything that happened at the NFL combine, which by the way, we have four individual videos on that. which were the best athletes, who were the worst, players who moved up, who moved down, just reactions to everything, positions that are super strong in this class, and other ones that are not.
