When you are God's choice: Seven vital lessons that will help you.
We take our test from 1st Samuel chapter 16. 1st Samuel chapter 16, verse 10 to 13. 1 Samuel 16:1 to 13. See how the Lord at that time picked one of the sons of Jesse to become the king of Israel. The perfect will of God also could involve God's choice of specific people for different areas of your life.
As a lady looking up to God for a God-prepared, ordained husband, listen carefully to the insights from today's message. Because some of you, you don't need a rich husband because you are going to be extremely wealthy. You don't need a rich husband. Some women have been ordained by God to become extremely wealthy in their lifetime, and it's going to happen without the influence or empowerment of their husband. So, for some of those kind of women, God's choice of a husband for them is not going to have to do with a wealthy man. God will look at other factors in picking a man that such a lady will be suitable with in her journey in marriage.
So, the perfect will of God involves God's choice for different areas of your life. For instance, God's choice of your biological family, the biological family you were raised from. You had no input, you had no say, and that continues to be the pattern. It's God that determined who your parents will be. God's choice of your destiny helpers, destiny partners for your spiritual life, your marital life, your career, in your area of major calling.
Now, we see from the holy scriptures men and women that were specifically chosen by God. Seven lessons that will help you because you are one of those that the Lord has chosen to play a role and to do certain things in destiny.
Lesson number one: God has the ability to foresee what anyone would do in the future if they are chosen for a particular purpose, office, or position. That brings us to the mystery of the spirit realm. Only God can see what will play out with each person in different circumstances of life. If I put this man, this woman, in this position, in this office, if I give this man, this woman, the privilege to operate in this role, what will happen? And it will show. The Lord will see it ahead.
At critical times, when the crowd wants the king or whoever is in a position to go in a particular direction, the crowd, but at that same time, God wants the king to do something in the opposite direction. What would this man do? What would this woman do? God can see it ahead of time.
A second insight about the mysteries of the spirit realm is that some of your future actions, decisions, or reactions, either to people or circumstances, can be seen ahead of time. And some of these things, you don't currently have them in mind. You don't have them in mind. You have no plans for such things as at today, but it can be seen ahead of time. That even though you, as at today, you are not even dreaming to own a university, in the days ahead, you will own a university.
In Genesis 40:12-13, then verse 18 to 19, you will see that at a time it was being, it was already foreseen in the spirit realm through a dream that King Pharaoh would restore the chief butler in three days' time and hang the chief baker in three days' time. At that time, Pharaoh did not yet have it in mind to do so. It was on his birthday, which was the third day, that he just now decided to take that decision. At the time they had a dream of what he was going to do, which Joseph interpreted, will happen in three days' time, Pharaoh, that was going to take the action, didn't have it in mind. So that is one of the dimensions of the mysteries of the spirit realm. What you don't yet have in mind, but you are going to suddenly come up with in the seasons or days or weeks or years ahead, it can be seen ahead of time.
Lesson number two. Most of God's choices for significant assignments, offices, or positions did not ask God for it. Most times, God doesn't look at your qualification to choose you for something significant, but after choosing you, He will release grace to make you qualified. He will expose you to the right process, to the right mentors that will ensure you become adequately qualified.
Hebrews chapter 5:4. Easy to read version, it says, "To be a high priest is an honor. To be a high priest is an honor, but no one chooses himself for this work. No one chooses himself for this work. That person must be chosen by God, just as Aaron was." Hebrews 5:4.
Now, the basis of God's choice is most often influenced by His mercy, His mercy and discretion. His mercy. Romans 9:16. God's Word translation, he said, "Therefore, God's choice does not depend on a person's desire or effort." There is a place for ambition, there's a place for determination, but there are certain things you won't get. It's been fixed by God for certain people for a particular time. Romans 9:16, God's Word translation, said, "God's choice does not depend on a person's desire or effort, but on God's mercy."
Lesson number three. God's choice of people for a specific purpose is often tied to certain conditions, circumstances, or for a period of time. You need to take this very carefully. What we imply in this context is that what was God's will, God's choice in the past, is overruled by whatever He says afterwards. Whatever God is saying in the current term overrides what He has said in the past. God can subsequently change what He earlier led you to do. Let's always understand this.
So, when God decides to change the assignment of a pastor, change the assignment of a minister of God to something completely different from the initial area of calling and assignment, be conscious of this so you don't join those who begin to judge that he has abandoned his calling, he has deviated from his calling. When God called him or her initially, you were not there, and God never bothered to speak to you. And when God is going to give a subsequent assignment, He is not also going to come to you, especially when you are not above that person in God's spiritual arrangement. So, God can subsequently change what He led you to do. Therefore, do what He's saying now. It overrides His previous instruction.
God can tell you, for instance, to fast for 10 days. And sometimes, this is not all the time. Sometimes God can lead you to end the fast earlier. It can lead you to end the fast earlier, three days, four days, five days. The Spirit of God can tell you to round up that fast. It's not about what you had earlier. It's about what He's saying now. But you have to be very careful that you are hearing the voice of the Spirit of God. God can subsequently change how He earlier led you to do certain things. The same God had told you to do certain things through physical platforms. Is the same God that can lead you tomorrow to switch completely to the online platform for the same purpose.
God told Moses to carry out different prophetic actions before each of the Exodus miracles and the opening of the Red Sea. So, do it the way God is telling you now. It overrides His previous directives. And in relation to what we are talking about about God's choice, God can subsequently change who He earlier led you to choose. It can change who He had earlier chosen for a specific purpose, purpose. It can also change who He had earlier led you to choose or connect with for a specific purpose, assignment, office, or position.
If God wants to use you to empower certain people, and amongst those people, God is using you to empower, you are giving them maybe contracts, giving them opportunities, and the Lord finds one, two, three of them consistently unfaithful. The Lord can someday tell you not to bother with two, three of those persons and it will put some new names, impress some names in your mind to rather replace them with. You may not know what they have done and how they have been conducting themselves secretly in terms of honesty with God and faithfulness with God. Just like Titus, you are empowered so that you can also be used by God to provide a flow to certain places and certain people. And when someone is consistently unfaithful, the Lord may eventually replace that person with someone He believes would do better. So, choose who God is saying you should choose now. It overrides His previous choice for that purpose. It overwrites it. Even if Judas had not died, he would have been replaced. Even if Judas had not died, he would have been replaced. So, it's not about saying we had Jesus say, "This is one of those that God has mentioned to me." In the video, I went to seek His face. So, even if he hadn't died, he would have been replaced among the 12 apostles.
In 1 Samuel chapter 9:15-17, some of the mistakes that people make, people chosen by God, are not, cannot be attributed solely to such persons. There are forces that God actually raised them to deal with that are going the extra mile to ensure that they fail and they fall. One of the reasons why Saul was replaced. Saul made blunders that God could not accept. One of those reasons: Saul was never, never went through a process of preparation. Saul was never prepared for the office of the king of Israel. Saul never knew ahead of time. He had no vision that this is where the Lord is going to take me in the course of time. No preparation. Suddenly, Saul was anointed to be king, and suddenly, the same time he became king, he was never a worker in the workforce. He was never a minister, and suddenly Saul became a senior pastor. And when such people make blunders, the blunders are serious.
For instance, he did not even understand how sacred the life of a priest of God is, and he was going to be king over God's people. And he did not recognize how sacred the life of a priest. It was Saul that instructed that they killed certain priests that assisted David at the time he was after David. Saul did not recognize that there are certain sins that God can forgive, but there are certain sins that God will never ever tolerate, such as a king of Israel toying with bowing to another supposed God or idol. David understood this, but Saul never understood. All these, David never bowed to any other God or idol, but Saul deviated at a point in time. Do not cut short your years of preparation. You do so, you are exposing yourself to avoidable blunders, avoidable blunders. There are many things, many blunders you would have made thereafter, but you won't make them because in the years of preparation, you had when such blunders were being corrected, you heard, you saw when such blunders were being corrected. Don't force yourself out when God is hiding you. Don't force yourself out when God is hiding you. Even Jesus had to be hidden for a time. Is that not true? It's not about, "Nothing can stop, no weapon formed against me shall prosper." Who can kill the Son of God? It was God that spoke to the father to the husband of Mary, the mother of Jesus. He said, "Take this child straight, straight to Egypt."
Praise God. I know one of you now will say that that was a prophetic word from today's message that I know the direction I should be heading to. He said, "Go now to Egypt." God could have told him to stay, and God would have protected him there. There are times when God will want to... And listen to this. It took God. It took someone else three years of preparation. Doesn't mean your own years of preparation will be three years. For our Lord Jesus Christ, it took 30 years of preparation for a ministry that was going to last three and a half years. God can take you through a longer process and time of waiting. Everything is meant to bring you to a point of perfection that when you get in there, everyone, including God, will be proud of your time on that level. No errors, no blunders, no costly mistakes. Can that man or woman say, "Amen"?
So, Samuel, sorry, Saul was anointed and immediately he became king. Became king. Everything he learned, he learned it on the job. He learned it in the office. All the protocols, everything he learned. So, he was being corrected and corrected. By the time David was enthroned finally as king over Israel, he had already learned more than 90% of everything. He was already used to the right thing to do, the right things to say, and things you must never do. If God would not also replace you, he understood those things.
So, in 1 Samuel chapter 16, Easy to read version, it said, "The Lord said to Samuel, 'How long will you mourn for Saul? I have rejected him as king of Israel. Fill your horn with oil and go to Bethlehem. I am sending you to Jesse, who lives in Bethlehem, because I have chosen one of his sons to be the new king.'" To be the new king. Samuel did not contend with God that, "Lord, you were the same one person God that spoke to me to go and anoint this other man called Saul. How can you then send me to the house of Jesse?" That is God. Follow what God is saying now. Do what He's saying you should do now, and do it how He says you should do it now.
To be different, but the same goal. God has chosen you for a time like this. God has chosen your son, your daughter, for a time like this. God has chosen your spouse for a time like this. God has chosen your father, your mother, a loved one, a close friend for a time like this. And I pray that as you walk with these seeds of wisdom, the original plan of God will be preserved and it will be established. Some people were cut off, even though they were chosen. Samson, Saul, and a number of them. You will not be cut off before your time. The arrows that will be flying and are already flying, the Lord will always, always neutralize them in the name of Jesus.
