The labor zero movement is taking shape, and it's no longer just about me. I started labor zero from the conviction that automation was going to destroy labor as we know it. After all, technology has radically reshaped humanity several times in the past. Why shouldn't it do it again?
But this movement has grown. I launched a Kickstarter to fund the book, and it generated over $46,000 to make this book happen. The people have spoken loud and clear. What started as a whisper has grown into a shout.
I've been hard at work over these last few months getting the Labor Zero book ready for launch. But that book is just the beginning. What started as one project about post- labor economics and household income has ballooned into an entire civilizational reset. Artificial intelligence and humanoid robotics are going to fundamentally reshape the trajectory of humanity, and we need to be ready.
Because of the energy you've given me, as well as the financial support, I've been able to commit months and months into my research to understand what's happening, what has happened in the past, what's coming, and what to do about it. To that end, I've compressed all of my research into post-labor economics into the labor zero charter, which compresses it all into 12 strategic objectives and 12 core values that will serve as the heart and soul of this entire movement. As many of you have noted, this transition will neither be automatic nor smooth, but it is coming whether or not we are ready. You need to understand that this charter is anchored in historical patterns, political philosophy, game theory, and systems thinking. I put everything I had into the books from which this charter was distilled. As Frederick Douglas famously said, "Power conceds nothing without a demand." This charter lays out our demands with the utmost clarity.
My mandate is clear, and my work is progressing at speed. I've been connecting with like-minded individuals behind the scenes and building a coalition. All of this will play out in the years to come. So, thank you for being here with me, amplifying this message, and supporting me through this mission. Now, let's get this done.
