Throne & Liberty NEWS: Trial Fixes, Battle Pass & Weapon Leaks - WARNING for Material Transmutation!

So you may have noticed earlier the game went down for an emergency maintenance. This was to resolve some issues impacting certain dimensional trials. That's because people have been cheesing them, bugging them, and getting away with super easy completions. Even though, when you want to complete these trials on like tier 15, you need to get through over 1,200 max health and deal with over 500% more damage taken. So here I want to go through the details of what they've actually done and also give some info on your battle pass shop, your solo dungeon difficulty increase, a warning with material transmutation, and if you haven't seen already, the leaks for the gauntlet and orb new weapons. Additionally, we have some leaks as to what rewards may be in our next battle pass next week.

First of all, those trial exploits. Well, they very simply fixed Halls of Tragedy by putting those fog barriers on either side. Ultimately, you could go up these steps along the balconies and you could end up in that chandelier by gliding from, say, pin one to pin five. And then you are within about 25 m of where the boss positions herself, right in the center here. And you could kill her without her even doing a thing, even though she has millions and millions of hit points, particularly in those high-level trials. And so people could get an easy tier 15 completion. People did the exact same thing with Rankarwood. You were able to do a bit of parkour, making your way up to this spot and then gliding across here, but they've added a barrier. You will now just slide down and you can't actually get up to that point. Before the update, you're essentially able to go to that pin, then go over to this next place here and glide up on top of this thing. And that allowed you, once up here—it was exactly up at that spot, although my pen can't reach there—they've since fixed the barrier. And you would have 25 m distance to be able to hit the boss who's just standing in the middle of the arena. And so again, people got super easy completions. And I assume people have done the exact same thing with your Chapel of Madness too.

Now, sure, we can't confirm fully. This is an example of some guy's leaderboard, which is kind of crazy, but I highly doubt anybody right now can feasibly beat tier 15 with this much hit points and this much attack power without a seriously stacked group and some crazy coordination. And if that's the case, you bet we'd be seeing videos of it and people actually boasting they have beat said trial on whatever tier when other people haven't. But no, they're simply just bug abusing. This issue has been resolved. I could confirm it at least for these two dungeons: Halls of Tragedy—you can no longer get up on the balconies with all that fog barrier in the way—and when Rankerwood returns, he should no longer be able to be cheesed as you can no longer get to that location. I will say though, it's probably very likely you can still bug the boss in other areas, cuz look how much terrain you have to mess around with and just completely break the boss's pathing. I have been getting reports that people have been doing it. My personal opinion is the devs should very simply reset the trial ranks. We've only had trials for about a week. Just get rid of them all, reset them all to like tier five. Yes, there will be some people who have put the sweat, blood, and tears in to actually beat it legit, but in the grand scheme of things, I think too many people just got away with an easy tier 15 completion. Yes, you got a bunch of extra runes, but that's kind of whatever; we're all going to get runes eventually, and a few hundred extra is not going to make that much of a difference in terms of leveling them up that fast. So I think a simple rank reset will satisfy most players.

Now, very nicely, the devs did actually fix the battle pass. You can now access the shop and purchase your items once again. Be aware, you only have one week left, so get your tasks done, get your stars, purchase your items, and we should get a new battle pass next week. However, those of you on console might have an issue accessing it as the controls like skip over it. Essentially, you'll need to hold the left stick for the emergency cursor, and then you should be able to click on the button, same with like in the mastery page. As per some data mining leaks, we should be getting in our new battle pass the abyssal weapons. Korea just got them along with the skin last week. You can see all of the weapons here and the new outfit. Can look difficult; it's just very likely not to come as part of the battle pass because they usually have either/or, and this is a weapon selection chest which we normally get in a battle pass. Be aware that the solo dungeon did get a little bit more difficult. Basically, before it was at 250% damage and 800 hit points; now it's gone to 450% damage and 950% hit points at tier five. And then material transmutation: be careful that it doesn't auto-consume your ores. You click rare here, and now it's going to add literally everything that's rare from your inventory. And if you have so many, say, items, you might not even notice that you're adding all these ores. This is terrible; please devs remove that. I only want it to put gear there. So just for now, don't use that uh, to auto-select feature. Be careful what it's actually throwing in here. I could probably select epic, and it would throw my epic ores into—okay, good stuff, it actually doesn't—but that's a bug. In terms of the rare ones, don't end up dissolving all of your rare ores; they're still very precious. These are honestly the most precious things in the game as they're super hard to come by other than paying Lucent to buy more from other players.

People are also reporting a pretty annoying bug with staff and bow. Basically, when you use like a charge skill, you can't change target to hit the new target, basically while you're casting. If you switch target, the fireball will still only go on the original target. I haven't played enough to know if it was always like that, but I can see how it can be quite annoying, particularly when you're killing mobs of enemies, like let's say your target dies before you finish channeling and you wanted to switch to a new one, you don't have the opportunity to do so. And then yes, the weapon leaks for the gauntlet and the orb. And honestly, there's just nothing more to it than that. It's very likely, like others have said, that we won't get this until like fall, until like September or October, and we maybe only get one weapon, not likely two, as they'll probably stagger the release. All we can see is again work in progress icons and some text here for the basic attacks confirming the names. But yeah, it's good to see the devs are actually working on new weapons. They have confirmed it themselves, but they couldn't give any specifics on it as, again, I assume they're not ready for that. Making a new weapon is quite a bit of work, especially in this game because the amount of different skills they have; you have to make all the different animations, and then that has to tie in with its own skill specializations and its own weapon mastery tree too, with all of those skill specializations. Out of the two, I'm honestly not sure which I want to get added. I think the orb would be a bit better in terms of balance, mainly because we kind of need another support weapon, and I don't really see the gauntlet being that. We do have quite a good balance right now: two magic weapons, two ranged weapons, and four melee weapons overall; four weapons that have range and four weapons that have melee. But in terms of actual stats, four of them are on the melee stat, two on ranged, and two on magic. So you'd think it'd be better to have magic and ranged, but they could very well make the gauntlet mostly magic based, but in all likelihood it's more melee and like that monk style where you're just punching people. But that's it for now; thanks for watching.
