Transits through the 7th house

Truth In Aspect Astrology/ Jewel1:14:47

I thought contracts are an eighth house thing, where things become more merged, finalized, and serious. Is this a seventh house thing too, since the seventh house deals with the law?

Yes, um, traditionally contracts are a much more seventh house environment because that's where we make the agreement. The, um, the fallout from that agreement, that would be an eighth house thing.

I've also heard the "open enemies" thing go back and forth between sixth and seventh. Have you experienced that too?

Sixth is work enemies. Sixth is everyday enemies, things that are more found. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Things are more found, um, in daily life, like, um, your roommates, obviously, people that we work with, the woman at the cash register is giving us the evil eye. That kind of stuff is the sixth house kind of thing. And the sixth house kind of enemies can be very back-bitey. There's something, um, like petty in how our sixth house enemy would deal with us. Seventh house could be more consequential because they can actually involve actual contracts. Uh, I feel like seventh is making the deal, being in talks. Eighth is how is the deal working out in actual practice.

Well put, Katie. Yes, this is what happens after we make the deal. Yeah. Um, sometimes we can find out, uh, things that we didn't know before. So we assess the deal in the sixth, we make the deal on the seventh, and then we have the repercussions of it in the eighth. So we explain, clarify, talk to intimate partners, our associates. As Mercury's going through the seventh, this is about really good communication and about, uh, getting other people's opinions, getting other people's perspective. We don't want to sign things, we don't want to enter into agreements until we have a multitude, uh, of perspectives. When Mercury is going through the seventh house, we're, we are really not meant to make unilateral decisions. As Mercury's going through the seventh, we're meant to consult, to ask, and to get a wider range of opinions so we can make a better decision. Um, as you know, as opposed to having a lot of natal planets in the seventh, we may never really be able to come to a decision on our own. This is a temporary thing where we're really not supposed to be coming to a decision on our own because it is that interaction with the people in our daily life and mental interaction that has us being more successful making deals, partnerships, entering into agreements. So there's a lot of negotiation that happens with, uh, Mercury in the seventh, and we may find that this is the time in the year where we are signing things, but we are having agreements that are actually binding. So it's very, very wise to have clarity, uh, before we sign those things or get into those things. So we're dealing with a period of months where things are mutually beneficial to us, and we're talking that over, we're investigating that.

[Music]

So there's assistance that we look for with Mercury going through the seventh house, assistance with most decisions. So it's, it's a very communicative time because we need input at that stage of our year. Should we talk about Venus? Does anybody have any questions about that? It was a little bit quick, but I thought it was fairly clear.

Venus, um, so we have good relations with everybody when Venus goes through the seventh house. It's a pretty darn good time of the year when this occurs. And Venus can be in there for a little while. Won't be forever, but, you know, it can be a period of weeks to months, depending on the speed of Venus, where we can, um, even be getting along with our enemies. We can even be getting along with people that normally make us crazy. Uh, it's easier to agree on things. We're much more conciliatory. Uh, things that typically trigger us and other people really don't, as Venus goes through the seventh house. And we tend to be just more willing to, um, to get along. We're willing to get along. There's less of a personal stake in how we are interacting with people. So it's, um, easy to love, easy to express love. Some new relationships can develop. Um, it's, it's not something that will happen every time Venus goes through the seventh house, but if we have other transits that support that or progressions that support that, we can see new relationships begin with Venus going through the seventh house. We could also see that with Jupiter. We can see that sometimes with Saturn for different reasons. But with Venus, it's the new beginning of either a friendship, a romantic relationship, it could be a money partnership as well, that occurs. So we have the ability to understand other people's needs when Venus is going through the seventh, and we're putting that out. We're putting that subtle message about ourselves out during that period of time. And so people are responding to that, and they're reflecting that back. So we're getting a lot of good feedback because we are putting out good feedback. That's very, very pleasant. So in that lack of challenge, uh, we have the experience of, um, friendships, uh, blossoming, even enemies not giving us a hard time like they usually do. Very good, uh, time in our year to re-establish connections or to say, go visit home, if that's a place that's full of tension. This would be a better time to take that up because we can just have a much better experience all together and have more tolerance for most of the people around us. So it can be quite a lovely, lovely time. Lawsuits, legal matters, legal representation, that tends to go very well with Venus going through the seventh house. Um, so we have good developments, things that can develop and then, um, bring us more personal satisfaction or even, um, like stuff, material stuff and money, because Venus goes through the seventh house.

By Kennya, I know you're talking about one thing at a time with all of these, but, um, when you're talking about, you know, maybe our money or religion's going well, or lawsuit suits going, um, our way, or, or anything like that, because it's Venus, it's benefic, like, what if it's in detriment or what if it's horribly aspected? Like, what if we see that?

Well, it, it, we're going to get into that, of course, as we get into things deeper. Um, but we would want to look at what it's contacting. But generally, even if we have something kind of nasty in our natal chart, Venus is going to come and give us a high note. It'll give us some harmony to that. So it can set off good things even when it comes into contact with difficult things. Yeah.

Let's see. We got another comment here. That was a good one, Kennya. I'm glad you asked that. This past Venus retrograde was in my seventh.

Oh, so you had a redo when it comes to relationships. Quite, quite the reason. Yeah, reassessment. Um, sometimes we make up. When Venus goes through the seventh house in retrograde, that can be something that can, you know, just bring more positive things to our life. Um, when I had Venus retrograde through my seventh house years ago, I remember that I, I had had a falling out with a friend a long time before, long, long time before, like decades before. It was during that period of Venus retrograde in my seventh house that, uh, we just, you know, came to an understanding and realized that we had argued about nothing, absolutely nothing. It was like the breakup of Pink Floyd, you know, what was it all about? Nobody remembers, right?

Mars, who's definitely not used to being in the seventh house. Let's talk about that because Venus is the natural ruler of the seventh house. So we have that influence. Like, I'm home, we always do better in our own home, right? But we're in the, in the home of somebody that lives completely different from us. Say we love to live above ground, and they live below ground, and vice versa. This is a totally different environment that we're used to being in. We have Mars going through the seventh house. It's the opposite home that he's used to residing in. So we have Mars coming in. Mars is like a giant, a bull in a china shop. When it goes through the seventh house, we are leaking out aggression. We are putting out subtle signs of, um, of confrontation. We are not being conciliatory. And so people are picking up on that, and they are mirroring that back to us during this period of time. So we can have, especially when Mars crosses the descendant, we can have some pretty caustic encounters with people. Um, I do not look forward to this transit personally because I have a little bit of a Mars Jupiter thing. So I have to really be careful when Mars goes through my seventh house because I can experience just more attention. Um, I don't make a lot of videos during that period of time because I can't seem to not make them and not piss people off. It's just, there's a, uh, mindfulness that has to happen with Mars going through the seventh house. And usually there isn't until we realize that, oh, you know, I'm getting the cyclical kind of clap back that I don't love. And then we can handle that transit much, much easier because we can really control our own behavior, control our own output. That's our own, our thing. If we control our output, we can have a better, um, we can have a better run of it because we're not, say, we're not acting in a way where we are pissing off a great deal of people. People don't like us very much when Mars goes through the seventh house. We can really develop a reputation during that period of time for not being very, um, understanding, for being, uh, more severe than we usually are. Tension, conflicts, we're not very compromising at all with Mars going through the seventh house. And so whatever conflicts are brewing, those can start to come out into the open during that period of time. So we'll probably have things that, I mean, we all have things in our life that are tense, and so the crescendo builds, and then when Mars crosses that descendant, we do tend to see some confrontation related to those things that we're building.

A needle with Mars in the seventh house, um, so much. Is there something, I, I don't like, what's the quick takeaway I can learn from this as a place with Mars in the seventh?

Yeah, well, anything in the seventh house is what we don't see in ourselves. That's what's putting, we're putting out there. Wow. And that's what they all look back at us. Quite a bit, right? You see it coming back at you as a mirror. So Mars is aggression and anger and, and so we tend to see that in our partners. We tend to see anger in our partners, or anger in other people, because we, we just won't realize that it's our subtle signals or the way that we're engaging with people that's what we're seeing in the seventh house with all the planets is that it's something that I own here. All right. Is there something that they're doing that gets that reaction going? Well, always with the seventh house, always in the seventh house is whatever planet is there, that's the action that we don't realize we have. We don't like. Like, I have Jupiter in my seventh, so I spent years and years not realizing that I had, you know, like philosophical abilities and teaching abilities and stuff like that. I didn't get it. I was looking for that in somebody else. But Mars, yeah.

Are you going to say a lot about it? Aren't aware of our, our the quality or of our aggression or the volume of our aggression with Mars in the seventh. If it's the Sun in the seventh, we don't know who we are. We don't know what our identity is. If it's Venus, we don't know what we want. So it's just in general, um, we're learning to control the strength of our aggression, to realize it, to know it, and, and, and to also realize what we can do with Mars in the seventh house, to realize what we can really go after, because that's our ignition switch. So a lot of time people are looking for that masculine quality in other people. They're looking for that ability to hit that gas pedal in other people, but not realizing that, yeah, it's the ruby slippers. They've always had it. They just have to know it about themselves. So anything in the seventh house, we're learning, that's our stuff. We, before we know that, we think that's other people's stuff. Other people are like that. You know, if it's our Sun, other people are confident. If it's our Moon, other people are emotional. That kind of thing. We're figuring it out.

I think it's rougher too with Mars because Mars is an inherently immature planet. And so Mars issues get easier in general with time and how they show up and how that conflict or how that feeling like there's a difficulty being able to properly assess one's motivations, angers, um, you know, um, drive, direction, all of that gets easier, I would say. I think after the first Saturn return with Mars stuff. Um, also, everyone I've ever seen get married before about the age of 30, early 30s, maybe mid-30s, who has Mars in the seventh house, usually ends in a divorce. It is an immature planet. Usually ends in a divorce. Um, and there is, there is a tendency to attract obviously aggressive or immature people, selfish or immature people to you with that placement as well.

Yeah, absolutely. I've seen many a marriage with a, a difficult Mars placement in the seventh house where that was the outcome. Yeah. And some that solved it and, uh, really dealt with their more seventh house issues, and the partner really responded to that. It can be really, really difficult to get in tune with your anger, for sure, with, absolutely. Yeah, that's shadow work. Absolutely. And that's what Mars transiting through the seventh house is going to point out to us is how much we are leaking those, uh, angry messages. And, um, so the more we can be mindful of how we're interacting with people and who we're interacting with, because say there's something in our, in our life that we always have a problem with, we may not want to deal with them when Mars is going through the seventh house, unless we need to confront them about something. Then this is a great time to do that because things will come up and out. And, um, there's a possibility of transformation in a relationship if we do uncork the tension. But we want to be careful about who and how we're uncorking when it goes to the seventh because generally everybody's pissed at us for a while. And we're like, I don't even want to be here. Why is everybody such an? And we just need to look at how we're being because we won't see it initially. We never do. But maybe we'll make the connection.

I think also, just to add one tiny little add-on, learning to stand up for yourself with Mars in the seventh is really important too. Like how to assert yourself and how to stand up for yourself because I feel like it's been really easy for me to rally for other people or work for other people. I think that's like a really big Mars in the seventh house thing too. But finding that level of personal empowerment can be difficult.

Absolutely, absolutely. This is a very, uh, conciliatory house, and we're learning to, uh, stand up for ourselves in a way that isn't, is it, that doesn't create division. It's like, this is good for the both of us. This kind of, you know, establishing of a boundary or of clapping back at you. This is actually good for the both of us. So there's a good, uh, amount of getting people on our side that we can come to when we figure out how to stand up for ourselves because it doesn't have to be something that is aggressive. It could be something that is just loud enough to make our point, but we still maintain that respect. Seventh house is a very, a place where we're really shooting for respect. This is a very refined environment. We eat crumpets in the seventh house. We eat meat that's toasted over a fire on a spit thing when we're in the first house. Caveman, you're over a fire, yes, with the caveman kind of deal in the first. And we're bringing that into the seventh house where the caveman becomes very refined. So our loincloth needs to be washed. And then we need to figure out that that other people sometimes aren't always the problem with Mars in the seventh house, and it can be a combination of the two. We're also looking at that, what is your stuff? What is mine? Because we don't live in isolation. So learning how to really parse out what our responsibility is is a big thing with Mars in the seventh.

Anything else? Okay, let's move to Jupiter. Stacy, did you have something else?

Yeah, just one like capping off that, uh, Mars and the seventh, like with natal, like when there are people who have that, like I'm thinking of the camping trip. I'm like, okay, you want to have a fight? I'm here. Let's do this. I felt like she was like, what, what? Oh my gosh. And like wasn't doing well with it. Is that indicative of the placement or is that like something else going on? And with the Moon involved with her chart, that's probably something that is happening there. Larry David has that in conjunction between the Moon and and Mars, and he gets into all kinds of trouble. He's like the best example of that and doesn't realize, you know, what he's stirring up. So, yeah, there could have been an innocence in how she, she understood that. Yeah, which makes it frustrating. We have to explain. Well, does what I'm saying, but now it's like, you're confused. I don't get it. Okay.

Um, so let's look at Jupiter. Jupiter crossing the seventh house. Yay! You know all about this. Sorry, you know all about this one. I'm doing this one right now. Yes, I've been waiting for this one for a while. I remember when this one came through, uh, last time I was just starting my, uh, my career more in a professional way, so that was a lot of fun. So this is where we make beneficial partnerships. Our partnerships tend to work well. Most of our relationships work pretty darn well with Jupiter going through the seventh. There's a mutual freedom that we allow each other, us as the person who's having the transit and the people around us. There's a mutual, uh, expansion that happens there. So we are experiencing, uh, beneficial people, beneficial partnerships. Legal matters work out very well with Jupiter going through the seventh.

[Music]

Success in business, coming across very good consultants, very good counselors, people who can give us the kind of advice that we need. Um, so we have growth in that seventh house. We may begin a romantic relationship, but this is not famous for romantic relationships. That can be something that could happen if we have other progressions and transits that are conferring that possibility. But generally, these are more, uh, legal partnerships, business partnerships, friendships, things that are going to help us to grow and expand our vision or our mission in life. It's a very, very good time for most people. Um, so professionals are helpful to us. Uh, we have to be careful about expansion. Every time we have a Jupiter transit, it's the rapidity of expansion or growth that we can get into trouble with. Now, generally, we're not going to deal with that comes from other people with Jupiter going through the seventh house, or, and we're not bullshitting ourselves very heavily. We are growing potentially too big for our bridges, or too fast for our bridges. So we have to be careful that we're keeping things within the scope of what's realistic. That's always a side note with a Jupiter transit in whatever house he happens to be going through. So our partnerships are, and even our like sibling relationships, children, uh, relationships, all of our relationships and partnerships are going swimmingly well for a time. So any, any questions about that before we go into Saturn? It's not a complex transit.

Okay, let's talk about Saturn. Very different from having Jupiter across the descendant. Um, let me grab a blanket. You chill. Saturn is cold, right? I just got a shiver in my bones. Now I have to turn my heater on in here. Um, so when Saturn is crossing the descendant and going through the seventh house, our relationships are being tested. Our ability to, uh, shoulder the kind of responsibility that we have taken on is really tested. A lot of relationships break up when Saturn crosses the descendant or is going through the seventh house. Some of them will remain intact, but after a severe testing, and sometimes even a temporary separation, isolation that can come. So not everybody ends up in disaster with Saturn crossing the descendant, but it is a time of really looking closely at what are the qualities of our relationships. And it's an answer to what was begun 14 years previously when Saturn crossed the ascendant. So this is where we really reestablished ourselves, and now we see the response to that. How have our relationships done in response to what we went through and what we did, how we reestablished ourselves at the ascendant 14 years prior? So this is a karmic, uh, toss back when it comes to that going on. So some of us, um, you know, reestablished better than others when Saturn crossed the ascendant, and now it's a chance to really see what is the product of our participation in relationships. How have our, the way we participate in commitments, our choices in relationships, how is that all worked out? So there's a re-assessing, sometimes a total meltdown. It really depends on what the contents of that particular relationship are. So some people go through a renaissance and have a rebuilding of that relationship. Not everybody. It just depends if it's something that is going to be able to be a vehicle that can bring you your hopes and your dreams. It's usually going to pass the test. So there's a new relationship with responsibility, new relationship with relationship that's beginning with Saturn crossing the descendant. Um, what else do we have here? Ah, must fulfill agreements. Yes, this is a big part of it, where we don't get out of what we've been committed to. Then that doesn't mean that, you know, if a relationship were to break up, that, you know, we just go off into the sunset. It's going to be complicated. There's going to be strings attached. We're going to have to continue to meet those obligations that we previously were entwined with. Um, so basically, we're looking at what am I really responsible for here, and being, I really have our nose being kept to the grindstone when it comes to finishing out those responsibilities. So there's a lot of maturity that happens in a very short amount of time when Saturn goes through the seventh house. We, um, really see why things haven't worked out because of us, and we have a chance to grow up a little bit better and have a better possibility of, what kind of stable, you know, have a better possibility of forming better stable relationships because we know what kind of relationships we want, how we want to engage with those, what kind of commitments we really, really want. So if we are in a, say, we're in an archetypal starter relationship, a starter marriage, that we get into at about 20 years old, and then we end up, you know, and that was happening, you know, during, just for example, say that was, we got into that when Saturn was crossing our ascendant. So when Saturn crosses the descendant, we really look back and think, you know, what was I doing? Was that something that, uh, was really ever going to survive the long term? And we really look at how we approach commitment and what that meant to us then and now. So there's a lot to think about.

Any questions about that? I feel like Saturn there is such a like make it or break it, um, thing for relationships. Like, I, I'm reminded, I had a client once where, um, it was in her solar return. Saturn was there, and she's like, well, I've been with my boyfriend for like seven years, and I've been hinting at marriage, you know, that kind of thing. And I was like, this is the kind of thing. I know it's not technically a transit, but, um, I feel like solar returns can kind of have a similar vibe sometimes.

Yeah, yeah. It's a smaller, yeah, right. This is, this could be a time where, you know, things have to get really serious, and it's either going to go to the next level, or it's going to dissolve. Yeah, that does happen. Mm-hmm.

Stacy, did you have something?

Yeah, is this, uh, just when it's crossing the descendant, or did, or pardon me, yeah, the descendant, or is it also one hanging out in that seventh house?

It is coming to a crescendo as it crosses the descendant. That's where we tend to see the fallout. But then we'll continue to see mutation, change, uh, the response to that fallout as it crosses the descendant. Is let's remember our last, uh, lesson in aspects course where we're talking about, we have the conjunction, we have the square, then we have the opposition, then we have the square. So the opposition, this is what is happening when any planet is crossing the descendant. We're having that oppositional, uh, werewolf moment. And then that awareness continues to build and, uh, get deeper and more pervasive as Saturn goes through the seventh house. So it's about a two and a half year event, three year, depending on how big your house is. So, yeah, it's not only as it crosses the descendant, but that's where we tend to see the most action related to what is going to happen. But there's digestion after that. Does that make sense?

Yes. Yeah. So it's, it's still happening all through its time. Yeah. Yeah. Say, as Saturn crosses the descendant, the most common thing, the most common way it goes is that there's the initial rupture. Saturn crosses the descendant. Now, say it goes forward and then it comes back again. Then we would have more of a rupture. And then as Saturn goes through the seventh house, we are continuing an actual breakup process, or we have a relationship that, say, it's going to survive it. We have Saturn crossing the descendant, we have that rupture, comes back, we could have another one, and then we go through the process of rebuilding as Saturn is going through the seventh house. So that could take a couple of years. Yeah. Just depends on, is it a relationship that's really going to be appropriate for your life for the next 14 years of your life? This is what we're really looking at. And so for some people, it may be no relationship is perfect. And it's those little imperfections that we can work out, or we can find out, this is just too not perfect, and I'm, you know, going a different direction.

Uranus. Ready for that, dude?

Um, I wanted to ask something about Jupiter on the descent. If that's all right. Sure. I might have, uh, sort of missed the gist of it, but, and how you already explained it, but the, um, getting too big for your britches. Does this have something to do with there's a risk of getting an inflated sense of yourself based on all these good experiences coming to you? Is that what that means?

No, it's not so much about feeding the ego because the seventh house is not an egoic place. It's very much the opposite. It's not about feeding the ego. It's about feeding our idea of possibility. So we can just not realize the limit. Um, and that's always a possibility with Jupiter. There's always a limit that we have to grow within because if we grow out of that, then it's, it, we're, that's when we're too, we're growing out of our britches, we're splitting our pants at that point. So we don't want to grow into them, nice and nice and tight, but not so much cutting off our circulation. So with Jupiter, we have to be very careful about too many agreements, too much growth in business, too much of a good thing when it comes to, uh, expanding the area of life when we are looking for a partnership in general. So where people would like, um, uh, here's a good example. So somebody who runs a horse stable and they decide that they're doing so well that they're going to add on another 16 stalls. So they put in the money and they put in the effort, and they don't end up selling those stalls because they were too exuberant, too excited about what they were already doing. So we have to be just be careful about getting overly optimistic about how we're going to grow.

[Music]

The projects in our life that we've been investing in for a certain amount of time. So does that make it more clear?

Yeah, that makes it a lot more clear. Thanks.

Okay. It's like, like the whole world is a wonderful place with so many opportunities because these good things are happening to me right now, right? Right. To be careful that, um, things can get a little out of control. Are we ready for Uranus?

Okay, so this is a long-lasting transit. We have about seven years with Uranus in any particular house, depending on how big your house is. But an average-sized house, he's in there about seven years. So this is another one where we can have breakups. Um, if the relationship is an appropriate relationship, if it's working for us, it will go through more of a reinvigoration. Now, it's different than a Saturn transit where Saturn, we could really be like reconstructing it, coming to new agreements, recontracts. Uranus is more like a shake-up. So we don't have our nose to the grindstone with Uranus for long periods of time. It's more like we are exploring our freedom factor rather than our commitment factor. So some relationships will not survive the Uranus going over the seventh house cusp. Some will. There are more confrontations with people in general because we are unstable as Uranus crosses the seventh house cusp. We ourselves who are having this transit are unstable because we're in flux. When something's in flux, it's not stable. It's moving. It's changing. So there's an enormous amount of change that happens when Uranus crosses the first and the seventh. Fourth, two, tenth is a little bit less destabilizing, but first, fourth, seventh, these are major, major transits of Uranus. So it's like a complete separation from how we used to relate to each other, to other people with Uranus crossing the seventh and going into the seventh. And during that period of time, we go to a total metamorphosis when it comes to our ideas about relationship, what we want out of relationships, will we owe other people in the context of relationships? Uh, it's a total disruption to our life. So if we've been going along according to our plan, this is going to knock that completely off the rails, and we're going to have a period of time where we are, it's just kind of blown up for a while. We're in pieces for a while, like it could take a while to restitch ourselves together. But it's in a way that is more of our own making. So it, it's similar to a Saturn transit in that it makes us re-establish ourselves, but it's more re-establishing ourselves through abdicating responsibilities, they're just letting them go, saying I'm not, I don't want to do this, I'm not participating in this. It can be something where we are, um, we're blowing things up without really thinking about it. So we throw a stick of dynamite into most things, and, and we may not understand that this is coming from ourselves. Oh, interesting. Naomi, you are going through the major metamorphosis. So there's a total reconfiguration of how we deal with other people. So when Uranus finishes crossing the descendant, we have different expectations about people, relationships, life. It can be a very nihilistic time for people. They may not know what to believe in for a time because everything's up in the air, and it takes a while for everything to coalesce. It can take up to seven years. It's such a big blow up, but it can be very freeing, very, very freeing because it puts us in a position where we're being more honest about what we really want to engage in. Um, we are confronting our own inability to stick with situations or to commit to situations, because we see what is most meaningful, what's really worth living for under a transit like this. And we reconfigure our lives. A lot of people get into affairs as Uranus crosses the descendant, and this can often be the vehicle towards a needed breakup. And people can be very convinced that that affair is the next new opportunity, but it rarely is. It's something that is a transient relationship that is meant to elevate us to a different way of life. Most people, especially women, have a very hard time leaving a relationship unless there's something to jump into somewhere else, especially if you've been in a marriage for a long, long time. This makes it more likely that you'll need to have that, I guess, that jumping off point. And Uranus will present us with somebody that appears to bring us that possibility of, you know, a new, a new relationship, something new and exciting. And they don't last. With Uranus crossing the descendant, we are very experimental. We are having sex in ways we've never had sex before, with people we would never have thought we would have had sex with. It's a very weird time in our life. And after it passes, we look back on and think, wow, I just went crazy for a while, and it was really good for me. I really needed that. So a Pandora's box opens up with Uranus crossing the seventh house cusp, and we date a lot of people and attract a lot of people into our life that we normally never would. And that is wonderful because it's opening our eyes to new vistas, new possibilities, new types of people. We need to be very, very careful though about assuming that those relationships are going to last because they, that's just not the nature of them. It's party time when Uranus crosses the descendant.

Any questions about that?

Um, do you, I don't have a question, but I, I keep thinking of the vibe of David Duchovny in, uh, Californication. That's perpetual Uranus on the descendant transit.

Yeah, yeah. That's, that's what I'm, that's the, it seems like that kind of vibe. Yeah, that was, that's a good, uh, a good analogy there.

Neptune. Are you ready for this, dude?

Okay, Neptune in the descendant. Uh, this is about a 14-year period of time. It's a long period of time where Neptune is opening our eyes to new possibilities. This is not a good transit for getting good advice, for coming into touch with counselors or, um, advisors that are very clear themselves. A lot of the people that we consult can be just as delusional in myriad ways when we are dealing with Neptune going through the seventh house, particularly when it crosses the descendant. We have to be so careful about the kinds of counseling that we get into. I suggest that people do not get too deep into esoterica or, or, um, spiritual counselors as Neptune is crossing the descendant. It is something that we do want to explore as it's going through the seventh house, but we have a way of attracting people to us with Neptune in the seventh, and especially crossing the descendant, we have a way of attracting people to us that are going to tell us what we want to hear. And that's what we need to be careful of because it's not the truth. It's what we feel we want to see. So there's the possibility of being manipulated or hoodwinked very badly when Neptune crosses the descendant. We have to just be super careful about who we're entering into partnerships with, what are we committing to, what is it that we're expecting from the people around us? And we ourselves with Neptune on the descendant can engage in some very dishonest, underhanded, cheatery kind of behavior. If we are living a life where we don't feel that we can be honest about who we are, what we want, it is more likely that there will be, um, there will be dishonest kinds of decisions that we make because we want to be happy, but we want the people around us to be happy too. It can be very hard to have those confrontations, or we realize that, you know, maybe in the situation, not everybody is going to be able to be happy, not everybody's going to be able to get what they want. But we want everybody to win with Neptune on the descendant as it's crossing. So we're really, really looking at being really honest with ourselves about what is our participation and relationships, how are we participating? We can have a lot of really victory thinking revealed to us, both in how we relate to others and how they relate to us. So to be super careful about the kinds of assistance that we give people. We can encourage dependencies when Neptune is crossing the descendant that we then come later to see are actually depleting. This can be an intensely spiritual transit. Intensely. We can really come to understand the nature of our shadow. Neptune and Pluto are going to be there for a while, and both of these can open that door into the unknown. And Neptune can really spiritualize our lives, and that could be the really good part of it. I mean, this could be a, a time where we're partnering with people, uh, you know, for several years, partnering with people more like a, at an emotional, spiritual level. So we can feel connected with people or the world at large. It can be a very, very good, enlightening transit. It can have that possibility, just as much as being a highly delusional transit. And usually the first half of it is that way, and then the last half is where we come to the clarity and realize, oh, you know, I thought I had arrived. It really felt like I had arrived, but now I realize that I had never arrived. I'm still arriving. So there's a, uh, realization about who we really are, and it takes time with Neptune crossing the seventh.

Any questions about that?

Yeah, I typed my now. Oh, let me take a look here. Thank you. Uh, how much more pronounced would you say this would be if Neptune also rules the sixth house and the descendant?

Well, that's going to be the area of life that Neptune is bringing added clarity to. So we can deal with, uh, as sicknesses that we realize are as a result of our relationship. We could really realize what some of our, uh, depleting or autoimmune conditions may be related to circumstances, conditions in people, the people, the relationships that are in our life. Okay. And, um, yeah, that can be something where it could bring sixth house issues to the surface, right? Related to how we're relating to other people. So really looking at what kind of relationships are healthy and what kind of relationships are making us sick.

Okay, that makes a lot of sense. Thank you. Uh, any of anything else before we move on to Pluto?

Uh, sorry, Jewel, I just wanted to ask because I wanted to ask which do you think is more important, um, a transiting planet or a progression? Because you're talking about Neptune and Pluto, and I know I'm having Pluto coming up to my, you know, in the next few years. I would have Pluto on my descendant in my progressed chart, and I just want to know which do you think is more potent or impactful?

I don't know that there is an answer to that. They're measuring slightly different things. We're going to have a lesson coming on that coming up in the next few weeks. What's the difference between transits and progressions? Um, transits are things that are more events happening on the outside that then translate to changes on the inside. They're things that we more see in our outer world. Progressions are more happening from the inside out. And I always look at them in tandem. Anybody, anytime anybody comes to me for a solar return or transit or anything, I always pull up the progressed chart because I want to know what is the inner to the outer. So the progressed chart is showing a lot of our inner psychological development, and the transit chart is showing that in relationship to what is happening as a result, that inner psychological development, showing that as a result of what is happening outside events, triggers changes. So the progressed chart is showing a lot of our inner psychological development, and the transit chart is showing that in relationship to what is happening outside events, triggers changes. So I look at the progressed chart as the chart of the interchanges, and I look, which then become outer changes. And I look at the transit chart as outer changes that then become interchanges. Okay. So I, it's like, which is more tasty, a peach or an apple? It's like, hey, I don't know. They're, they're just different fruits.

I, I think I, no, I think I understand more clearly now. Um, I think with the transits, they are more things that are happening outside of you. They're more like people you meet, situations you find yourself in, events, events that happen. Yeah. Right. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Completely. I see it now more clearly. Right. Right. So I always look at that in tandem with the progressed chart. Say, oh, how are we dealing with, and, you know, what's going on on the inside at the same time that we're dealing with what's going on on the outside? I just like to have a picture of both of those things. Okay. Yeah. We're going to get more clear about those differences in a couple of weeks when we get to that lesson.

Okay. Pluto.

Okay. And that. All righty. So Pluto may be in the seventh house for over a decade. It depends on how big our house is. Um, it's, it's such a long time that Pluto spends in one, in any one area of life, that the alchemy that happens is just very, very slow. And it may be so slow that we're not even able to see it in real time. So I explained this last time. Is Pluto going through a house like the hour hand on a clock? We can't really see it moving if we look at it. And then the Moon would be the second hand, and the inner planets would be the minute hand. So being that Pluto has the hour hand on the clock, uh, there are more pervasive changes, and these are lasting changes that happen to us when he's going through any one house. So we understand the nature of our own unconscious and our own shadow side, our anima, animus, uh, how we perceive others as the enemy. That's what we come to understand when Pluto goes through the seventh house. And it's a slow burn. As it crosses the descendant, that's where we're going to experience some serious stress. We can find that all of our relationships are just being put through the wringer. And it's more of a ringer than a Saturn ringer. This is something where we can be dealing with very dark forces within ourselves. So we have the potential for unleashing on other people our deepest darkest repressions, our shadow, our demons, and we see those in other people. So we can feel like everyone hates us when Pluto crosses the descendant. We can feel like everyone is against us, like we are being demonized. It's a very rough transit. It's going to be about three years for it to really complete the transit of the descendant, and then it's going to be in the seventh house for a long time, which will be much quieter. We're not going to have that tension really on the surface, you know, for a 20-year period of time, but it is going to be a continued transformation when it comes to understanding output, what are we putting out there, and why is what we're getting back indicative of what we're putting out? So, uh, we have the possibility of a total transformation with Pluto going through the seventh house. Pluto going through the first and crossing the ascendant, Pluto crossing the descendant, I think are the most stressful places. The fourth house, yes, but I don't see that as even being as stressful as the descendant or the ascendant. So we change our physical look when Pluto crosses the ascendant. We change how we appear to, uh, how we appear to others in a different way, a slightly different way when it crosses the descendant. It's not a physical transformation. It's a deeply, deeply psychological transformation. Not to say the Pluto that ascendant isn't psychological. Pluto is always psychological, but it's so deeply upsetting to how we've always interacted with other people that we can't go back to the way we were. And relationships may break up. We may find repressed memories coming to the surface. We may find trauma that has been buried coming to the surface. We may find that we are reassessing our relationships with our parents, with our siblings, because we're starting to understand the nature of what we really experienced, stress, abuse. And sometimes people can really go off the deep end for a while. I've seen people with Pluto crossing the descendant rage towards say, the, the siblings or the parent that they feel did them wrong or didn't serve them the way that they could have, and then have to come back from that, then have to repair that relationship. And it does come back as something that

is more appropriate. But [Music] we can have such a pervasive anger come out with Pluto at the Descendant. It's like an extended Mars transit in the sense that we feel that everybody is against us. So, um, [Music] we feel that life is very unfair with a Pluto transit, very, very unfair. And I think ultimately we are [Music] learning how to participate in reality. With Pluto crossing the Descendant, and also with Neptune crossing the Descendant, it can also be a very painful lesson of how to actually participate in reality. Pluto at the Descendant is, um, like you're a vase. Like you're a vase and, um, sometimes you crack a vase. It allows a sliver of light to come in. That's what most Pluto transits are like. That are like, there's a sliver of light that comes in. But this is one where our vase gets smashed. It's just obliterated. All this light can come flooding in. That is upsetting because it's generally something we haven't bargained for, not consciously. So there's a major purge, the hugest purge that we have with, uh, Pluto crossing the Descendant. Any questions about that?

Yeah, if I, I had that, I went through that transit once and it was really terrible. And, uh, I still like think about the things that were going on that time. At that time, like, oh, like the job I had, where I was living, like I got rid of all those, like, well, like I got rid of all those things, but I associate them with that time. Yeah. And as you're talking, I'm wondering, was it even necessarily like where I was or the job? It could have just been the Pluto transit going through. Like, yeah, sometimes it's not other people. Sometimes it's not conditions or circumstances.

With people, I was going to ask, oh, I'm sure that there was some going on there. Yeah. Well, we'll, we'll identify what's working and what's not with that particular transit. But yeah, really looking deeper at, um, just what is our part? What is our part in the difficulties that have that have transpired? And, uh, just learning from it and moving on. Sometimes our part is making the wrong choice, you know? Like we brought somebody into our life that we shouldn't have, or we made, uh, agreements that we shouldn't have. And we need to make sure that we're protecting ourselves more in the future in an appropriate way. Yeah. Yeah.

Um, and is it, can it be a thing where people are victimizing you more during that time period when Pluto, where it's not like just something you're interpreting, but where it's, are you more likely to have that happen during that transit? Well, it's because it's Pluto on the Descendant, it's not something that we associate with something outside of ourselves. It's not something we understand as outside of ourselves. It's our own demons that are, for a time being, seen. So it is, uh, it's a rough transit because it's very humiliating. Um, but yeah, the, the amount of pressure that other people put on us during this transit, uh, does really make it seem like it's something that is coming from outside of ourselves. I mean, everybody is going to see that with this on the Descendant. With any planet on the Descendant, initially we see these things as coming up from outside of ourselves. But it's a process of realizing that the power struggles that we've been in, because these are the, like the, the biggest power struggles that we'll experience is during this particular time, those power struggles were a result of how we were dealing with other people without knowing it. That's what we see. Oh gosh, and we don't want to believe me, we don't want this. We don't, we don't see it because we don't want to. So yeah, it's one that can take years to digest. And, uh, I think, you know, that oppositional moment that we have because that's what Libra represents, is we come to that opposition of realizing enemy, uh, versus, you know, protagonist and antagonist and enemy and friend. And so Pluto with that Descendant, that's like the most oppositional, eye-waking, eye-opening, wakeful moment we can have. And it can take a long time to then put that in its place because after that oppositional moment, we have that period of time where we then come eventually to the square, which is when we eventually realize, okay, I guess that was my part in things. I can't do anything about it now, but I'm going to learn from it. I'm going to use that experience to engage with other people better going forward. So we actually do take a big steaming chunk of wisdom from that Pluto Descendant transit and apply it forward. So everybody that comes after that transit gets a better version of us. So we do get something out of it, something huge out of it, the ability to engage with people in a new, better, more effective, loving, compassionate way. So it's a rough one. Oh yeah. Oh god, yes. Pluto to the Moon as well. Oh, still not. I've seen some people not survive that one. We don't all survive Pluto transits. Yeah, some people give up.

Yeah, I was, uh, wondering if you could elaborate when you said that some people don't make it through the Ascendant. Do they, like, Pluto transits in general? Yeah, Pluto transits in general. Pluto transits to the Moon. Some people don't make it to the other side. They give up because there's depression, there's trauma that's coming to the surface, there's pain, they're suffering. Uh, a Pluto to the Descendant transit, um, coupled with other things, could be something that also puts so much pressure on a person that they feel like they want to give up. Pluto transits to the Sun can also be something that can bring that up. But I've seen Pluto transits to the Moon be really responsible for, I just, not wanting to be here anymore, those types of ideas, their feelings. And Pluto on the Descendant also, coupled with other personal planets being translated by Pluto, can also bring that up. Pluto on the Ascendant can be something that people can really feel like, I don't want to be here anymore. I've seen that in progression. Oh god, the progressed Ascendant or Sun to Pluto and then the progressed chart is huge when it comes to showing that frame of mind.

Wow. This is, it's so interesting to like, like learn when I was going through that progression, like I was, I had major issues when it was Pluto crossing the Descendant. Huge, which, you know, you're highlighting is being relational. I always thought it was geographical. And it's so interesting to learn this because I remember there was a time where I'm like, I'm gonna have to move out of this town or I'm gonna have to kill myself. It's like, or be a drug addict, like one of those. I just can't do this. Those are typical Pluto thoughts across the Descendant. Absolutely.

Yeah, it's so deeply, it's such a deeply depressing and dark time for us. And I think most of us come to see that it wasn't situations and conditions because wherever we go, there we are. There's that saying, um, that old, that old story where a traveler happens upon a farmer outside of the town and says to the farmer, what kinds of people live in that city over there? And the farmer says, well, what were the kinds of people that you used to know in the city that you came from? He said, oh, those are wonderful people. I love those people. He said, well, that's the kind of people you'll find there. And the next guy shows up. He says, tell me, what kind of people will I find in the city over here? He says, the farmer says, well, what kind of people did you find in the town where you came from? Oh, they were horrible. They were selfish. They were, they were always blocking me from doing what I wanted to do. Nobody understood me. He said, well, that's the kind of people you'll find in that town. So we have to accept that wherever we go, there we are. We are the center and the circumference. We can't go to somewhere else and be different because we're taking the center with us. The center of the old town goes right to the new town. So that's something that I, oh, my teacher had such a hard time getting this through to me. Oh god, she was always pounding into my head, it is not circumstances, it is not conditions, girl, it is you. And I could not get this for, you know, I fought this and bought this for a long time. So I finally accepted it. That it isn't other people, it isn't circumstances, it's me. You.
