Spike Protein Over the Counter Remedies: What You Need to Know for Your Health

Welcome back. In today's video, I am going to be going over the seminar that I talked about in November on Spike protein. We're going to go through some over-the-counter supplements that can be very effective at, in my opinion, and some of the research that I'm going to go through at reducing viral load and Spike protein issues. Let's get into today's content.

All right, Spike protein. You've all, I'm sure, seen that picture in the background there on this slide, and this can be very problematic at infecting a lot of different cells and tissues in our body. And how do we disable this particular bugger?

Yes, real quick, my medical disclaimer here again: I am not a doctor. I am a doctor of Pharmacy. I have a PharmD degree out of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I will let you read that on your own here. That is, and the things we already know, direct cause of death is typically severe atypical pneumonia. So basically, we get an infection with a lot of inflammation, and that results in a lot of, essentially, I'll call it phlegm building up in the lungs, and we get a bacterial infection that ultimately does us in. The numbers here to show that, according to the CDC, this is back in 2010 to 2019, and estimated—and this is a wide range here—of 23,000 to 61,000 deaths have occurred from the influenza virus.

All right, let's look at melatonin. Melatonin as an option for combating Spike protein. Melatonin has been long known to work as an anti-inflammatory agent. So I really want patients to, uh, change their mindset on melatonin. Don't think of it as a sleeping aid more so than really anti-inflammatory and, uh, improving the immune system. Reduces blood vessel permeability, so we get again less inflammation there. Reduces anxiety, of course, it has sedative properties; we just talked about that. It's got a very high safety profile, so it's been used in a lot of different populations and has been shown to be helpful and safe. And evidence suggests that endogenous production is unharmed—isn't the right word there—but it's unaffected, meaning that, uh, when you look at giving patients melatonin and then taking that melatonin away, their endogenous production, their own body can still produce melatonin; you don't suppress that production. Melatonin sites of action, so this is important to know too. So we're not just talking about something that we take and it helps us sleep at night, but there are receptors for melatonin, of course, in the brain, but also in the GI tract and the adrenals. Uh, there are macrophages. Through melatonin, also works through a specific white blood cell called macrophages through the HMGB1 inhibition. I'm not going to get deep into that, but just know that it can help activate macrophages. It works through T-cell and lung tissue, and it also works with liver and heart tissue via the Nrf2 upregulation, hence providing protection. So basically, with that Nrf2, is think of it this way as just inhibiting cell infection, liver and heart tissue cells by blocking the receptor that the virus, the spike protein, would use to enter that cell.

Corcetin, another great over-the-counter product, in my opinion, a great supplement. It's a plant flavonoid from the flavonoid group of polyphenols. It's found in many fruits, vegetables, leaves, seeds, grains. Red onions are a great source of that, uh, so is kale, and common foods are—again, these are common foods containing decent amounts of corcetin. In the picture here on the slide, I've got some honey that has been—I should say it the other way around—some onions that I chopped up that's been soaking in, in honey. This forms a great syrup that you can use, again, in my opinion, to help with coughing. Doesn't taste all that great. Um, I've tried it on my kids; they weren't too fond of it, but I, I certainly took a few doses myself as a guinea pig, and wasn't all that bad, quite frankly, in my opinion, of course. Corcetin has a bitter flavor. It's used as an ingredient in dietary supplements, beverages, and as I just mentioned, in foods. It's found in a lot of different foods, so corcetin, something to consider. And there's a study here about corcetin and vitamin C, uh, as an experimental synergistic therapy for the prevention and treatment of SARS-CoV-2 related diseases. There's the reference there for you. Corcetin is a well-known flavonoid whose antiviral properties have been investigated in numerous studies. There's evidence that vitamin C and corcetin co-administered exerts a synergistic antiviral action due to overlapping antiviral and immune-modulating properties. Ascorbic acid or sorbate has the capacity to recycle corcetin, increasing its efficacy. So that is important to note there. If you're going to take corcetin, either get natural sources of vitamin C through your food or, again, worth considering supplementation as well. Corcetin is known to be a safe, cost-effective intervention which has a sound biological rationale, again, should be prioritized for experimental use in the current context of a global health pandemic. Corcetin, so inhibiting viral entry. In vitro model of H1N1 and H3N2 influenza infection of cells, corcetin demonstrated reduced cytopathic effect 48 hours post-infection. Long story short, corcetin has this ability to reduce viral entry into healthy cells. This effect was observed when corcetin was administered during, again, viral entry within the first, um, two hours of, of contracting the virus. This effect was maximal with corcetin pre-treatment, so taking corcetin ahead of time. And this effect was dependent on corcetin's ability to bind to receptor proteins.

Curcumin, moving on here, potential effects of curcumin in the treatment of COVID-19 infection. This was a study done out in, actually, Iran, Department of Medical Biotechnology, School of Medicine. Curcumin, a natural polyphenolic compound, has the ability to inhibit the entry of viruses into the cell. Curcumin has the ability of inhibiting encapsulation of the virus and viral proteases and can modulate proteases—sorry—and can modulate various cellular signaling pathways. Curcumin inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme, ACE enzyme, resulting in reduced inflammation. Studies have suggested effects against influenza, hepatitis, herpes, HPV, HIV, SARS, and other coronaviruses. Curcumin can act as an anti-inflammatory agent and can act as an antifibrotic agent. So keep that in mind.

Bromelain. So bromelain, in this picture here, it's really the stem of the pineapple plant that has the bromelain. Its mechanisms of action, its MOAs, downregulation of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins, upregulation of anti-inflammatory prostaglandin one, activation of mediators—can't say that word today—activation of mediators, interleukin 1 beta, IL-6, TNF alpha as an acute response. However, it also has inhibition of inflammatory mediators in states of cytokine overproduction. Bromelain has the benefit of enhancing T-cell activity, which in turn is going to help produce B cells and antibodies. And bromelain, bromelain has been found to promote fibrinolysis, so having that anticoagulant effect that we can see where we're having issues with excessive coagulation in patients infected with too much Spike protein. Here's a study on that with bromelain and curcumin as an immune-boosting neutral in the prevention of COVID-19.

There's another video that I'll put a link up here, uh, with Dr. Tucker Stewart that did an excellent job on going through the more details on nattokinase. Just know this is a naturally—naturally occurring proteolytic enzyme. It has thrombolytic property, so again, helping with clots essentially, uh, but certainly use caution in patients that are already on antiplatelet, anticoagulant therapy. Here's a study that looked at nattokinase and inhibiting viral infections including SARS-CoV-2, and another study here looking at the degradation effects of nattokinase on Spike protein. One thing I'd consider looking at is something like this, which is a povidone-iodine with D3 and xylitol, something that can help, uh, break down—I shouldn't say break down—but inhibit viral spread. This is a throat spray; they also make a nasal spray. Something to consider is that Covix RX, again, throat and nasal spray has antiviral support.
