Transcription

Greetings, travelers. Welcome to another Sword and Staff video. My name is Yuma, and today's video is the Paladin guide. Uh, it's the knight/Paladin guide, but I do have a night video um that I previously covered, so it's pretty much all in depth there.

I know you guys want an all-in-one video. Um, so I will cover night, but just very basic uh parts of it because uh I don't want [laughter] it's been a long day, guys. I'm tired. I did like 3 hours overtime in my real job. So, [snorts] you know, uh you're just going to have to bear with me, guys. Uh yeah, as you can see, off tangent, but for my day, we're on day 23. Day 23. 20 24. [ __ ] Uh, I'm almost level 100. I will hit it before reset. So, I will be able to do my dungeons, my six dungeons for this new one here. Um, as you can see, you get mythic drop rates. Apparently, at hard mode, you do get divine drop rates, which is insane. My girlfriend pulled this staff. 225k. That's an insane jump, guys. That's insane. It's item level 150. Um, [music] so it sucks for free to play and light spenders cuz we can only do normal. Uh, well they the whales get to do hard mode. So the gap widens some more. You can see in the auction house too is I think it's there. Uh, yeah. 220k. Insane. That's 170k gap. 165k. Uh, boots. This is still good. Mythic is still great. This is 100 like a little under 150k. So yeah has 147k 46k power gap. So it's insane still. It's still a great buff. Um so the power scaling is definitely going to go bonkers with this new dungeon. Uh I'm excited for it. Hopefully I get something good with my six runs, you know. Uh otherwise, let's get straight into the video. Sorry about that, guys. Just wanted to show that off. give you guys a report on my day-to-day progress.

But nights, okay, night infographic. Uh, not much has changed from my previous video. Um, I'm not a big fan of the the block build, but that's the whole point of Paladins. The block rebound is a big part of it. However, there is a lot of build variety with Paladins. Everything you see in these charts, just know that it is very customizable. And a lot of people in the comments say, and I agree with them, that you should go to skills and test it out for yourself. See what works for you. Please don't just follow what I say. Use me as a guideline if you like, cuz I appreciate you guys watching my content and asking for these videos, but always make your own opinions. This is just to help further your opinion, uh, to make the right opinions for yourself. Uh, but regardless, Valor search, very important, damage boost, guardian ring is self- shielding. Then you just have two AoE skills, mountain collapse and whirlwind slash. This is the OG ripple build. Ripple build is my favorite build. Um, I rather do ripple than uh rebound, but I think Ripple's only good for PvE. So, I for an eye. So, when you get attacked a bunch before your next attack, you get stacks of damage bonus. So, it's really good for those 1v30 mob situations. Uh, defensive assault. When you shield yourself, you get uh attack boost. And then crystal armor for defense. Uh, the ideal pet for ripple impact builds are always going to be Borro. Borro is best boy. That's why I named him Best Boy. Uh key tip, make sure all your top rarity uh pets are in the main lane lineup. Sorry. You don't have to have Borro in the main lineup to use him. So just take note that. Uh, but you can still use him. He's very important for the ripple build [music] in my opinion. Um regardless, so that's [snorts] it. Ripple build OG is amazing. You still use Impaladin just with some tweaks of Paladin [music] skills.

Uh, night dungeon tanking, you're not doing a rebound build. It's better to just go more defensive skills and play more team utility. So, you do run block, so you're doing damage reduction. Uh, Valor Surge for damage boost, heart of challenge for taunting, ricochet shield for AoE uh or multi-target stun chance. Pursuit of victory works with ricochet shield if it stuns and also always works with heart of challenge cuz uh taunting is an ailment or whatever debuff. So, damage boost to all targets that are taunted. Really great block awareness for extra block to work with your luminous shield. Iron Fortress to that uh buff the whole team is not dispelable too. So it's a unique buff that stays and it buffs defense and then like a defense charm. Um, you got nice solo target bossing. So same thing damage boost ricochet shield is great for PvE not so good damage PvP wise uh but ricochet shield great PVE stunning strike for stun chance also great damage multiplayer for single target damage. And then heavy impact is always your strongest single target skill for warriors/dueler/ knights. So uh very handy to have. Then you're also just running all attack charms here cuz it's just blasting right crucible war conquest. So, strength rules for uh physical mastery, warrior essence for attack, uh crit rate through insightful eye, and then pursuit of victory for that damage [music] boost, as well as chance for sunder extra damage uh to shields.

Uh, night 1 v1, uh you're running rebound build, so you're going to go luminous shield, valor surge. Uh, so, block rate. Oh, by the way, block rate how it looks. Here's a sample. You can always click yourself during combat to get the uh buff stats. So you can see here I'm like 81% block rate, which is great. Obviously, you want to get 100% and then increase efficiency. So 81% to reflect uh if a successful block happens. So that's really handy, really good. Um, rookie numbers, obviously you want to have above 100, but that's just a sample to see how that works. Uh, why am I running double attack charms here? Oh, the other block [music] ray is not up yet. So, yeah. Yeah, double attack charms. Great. Uh, knight 4v4. You're running block uh damage boost, taunt. You're going to run uh heavy impact for extra some damage as well. You got rebound, uh, death buff, block awareness, and defense. Pretty simple, pretty standard. Nothing to really explain there. Uh, you can see the stat growth here. You got 10% block rate, 15% defense, HP, and then 11% speed, and 9% attack. Your attack is your lowest growth stat.

Moving forward, I know everyone's here mainly for Paladin. Everyone's asking for the Paladin builds. So, here it is. Uh, Paladin, very straightforward, too, I would say. um [music] your main skill that you're always going to be using, even T4 when you get to the next uh class advance, which is guardian, you're still going to be using lunar water threads. Great range as you can see here. Uh great grouping skill, super super great for setting up for taunt right after. Uh so yeah, uh definitely focus this. You're going to be using it for a while. But the first build is the AoE water build. So I gave you two builds here for general build. It's either AoE water build, which is my favorite. And then second one, uh this is credits and compliments to qy Maple, other content creator that covers from Chinese content. Uh my guildies suggested this build and I uh I completely understand why Qy Maple u suggested it. So, we'll we'll talk about that. But initial one, Paladin AoE water build, uh you're just using um it's the same ripple impact setup. The only thing different is the lunar water thread and frostbite instead of mountain collapse and whirlwind from the night build. The reason why lunar water thread applies cold um [music] as well as ripple impact applies cold. So, cold once it hits 10 stacks, that's like 30% increased water damage, which is great. That's why you're using frost bite. uh blossom because it's just as good as a whirlwind, but it's water damage and it's good AOE. So, uh very great B base multipliers and I for an eye super important in that just for the damage boost and pursuit of victory for damage boost as well. And then you're always being shielded. Again, you're running Borro for this uh for ripple impact builds. If it's not a ripple impact build, you're running uh usually ages swing. Uh, you can also use Nyx Archon if you are like a someone that's like top DPS, but Aegis Wing, I feel like you get more for your survivability skill plus accuracy plus crit rate. So, I still am a fan of Aegis Wing. I know in my night video I did say next Araon, but I've I've converted [laughter]

Um Paladin Fizz build. Okay, here's the explanation that uh I I I think why Maple does this. Uh first of all, uh Luminous Shield, no-brainer. It's block. So, this is like partial rebound build. So, you got the block rate uh with rebound to reflect damage. Um so, of course, you're going to have crazy block. You're going to have block mastery now, which is a paladin charm. So, you're going to have extra block, which is great. Eye for an eye works really good here because you only have two attack skills. One with a uh uh two [music] two cool down and one that's a three cool down. So, the reason why you have larger um attack cooldown skills is because that way it gives time for you to stack up more eye for an eye stacks. So the more eye for an eye stacks that you have, the more damage boost you're going to be doing for those skill casts. So uh desperate protection is what you're going to be casting after luminous shield. This will shield you 27.2% is a two cooldown turn skill. Um so sometimes people might do ice shield just because it has a [music] one cooldown shield, but obviously it'll give you less shield percentage. So for those solo solo situations, it no reason not to do desperate production because uh it applies to yourself if there's no allies around. So great shielding. This is just to stall to stack eye for an eye. So you're getting hit as much as possible. Then forceful charge is an insane insanely pretty like surprisingly like great damage multipliers, great AoE in a straight line as a three grid thick liner. [music] Um 3x4 is actually surprisingly good. Um and you know maybe something to experiment with in PvP as well. I don't I don't know. Uh, but it's it's good AoE. It's great AoE. I can't complain there. Then you follow up with Star Shattering Slash, which is your now strongest skill. Probably the strongest skill out of all four classes in tier three. Like these multipliers are insane, but obviously it's a three uh [music] cool down skill as well. Uh this is why like a lot of people are are telling you like Panda is the best, but I just want to let you guys know. I know a lot of people are like, "Oh, I'm going to save for Panda mythic mount." I want you to understand, you're saving for something that comes out day 91. So, 3 months. If you can wait 3 months for it, sure, go right ahead. But that might [ __ ] your progression. Uh cuz obviously having a mythic p uh pet early will help you climb [music] stuff quicker. Uh yeah. So, I don't know if everyone wants to wait three months, but uh if you do wait for the panda, it reduces your skill cooldowns by I I don't know like one. So, instead of three, it'll be two. Uh which is very handy. Um and then like what's one will be zero and what's [music] two will be one. Stuff like that, etc. So, yeah, just just a key reminder there. Uh, but yeah, the whole part of this build was just to stall and stack up more eye for an eye so that your big hit skills do more [music] damage. Makes a lot of sense to me. Um, been having a lot of fun with that actually. And sometimes I you instead of shattering slash I kind of like using purification uh the holy purification scale. I don't know why it's satisfying to use that. I don't think it's the most efficient thing to do, but it's fun, personally. Uh, so just play for fun, man. Just test skills out and see what you like. Don't just follow my builds, right? Uh, cuz I'm not a know-it-all. I just go with what feels best. Uh, and what I think is decent enough.

Um, Paladin, dungeon tanking, valor, surge, desperate protection. Again, uh this shields you or your ally depending whoever is lowest. Uh so it's very handy. Great shielding. Lunar water threat to pull everything towards you. You got heart of challenge to taunt them afterwards. Uh you got block awareness, block mastery for the extra block. You don't need to run uh block rate here. I think that's completely fine. eventually you're [music] going to have enough innate block rate where you don't need that block uh active skill. [snorts] Uh stone skin is great just because you're going to be in those long fights and uh that will apply uh more damage reduction after what's what's 2 * 9 that's uh 18% right? So 18% damage reduction that's pretty solid plus 252 flat stat. Uh, and then Iron Fortress for the death buff to the entire team.

Uh, okay. Paladin single target bossing is still ricochet, heavy impact, and now star shatter. So, you're running both big hitter skills, long cooldowns. Uh, you're still running double your strength rules for fizz mastery attack. Uh, Insightful Eye works really well if you have Aegis Swing just because crit rate on crit rate. Uh, but you can always switch that out if if you're not comfortable. Uh, you can always have something else that fits your your meta. Maybe you're running a shield for single target bossing to and then you would want to run defensive assault for the attack buff. Up to you, man. [laughter] It's really based on your play style. Uh, pursuit of victory is great just for the damage uh damage bonus that it has even if there is no ailment inflictions uh for some efficiency.

Uh, Paladin PvP 1v1 is always going to be rebound I feel like. Um, so similar to single target uh bossing, you're just running block rate this time. So block rate, valor surge, heavy impact, star shattering. are your biggest two hitting uh single target hitting skills. Got rebound, the double block charms, and then fizz mastery. Uh, just cuz I think a lot of people say fizz mastery just does better than attack through [music] testing. Uh, but that's, you know, up to you. Again, do your own test. That fourth charm could be [music] completely else something else. It could be uh pursuit of victory if you really wanted to, etc. So figure it out yourself. Don't just follow what I say, but this is a good guideline, I would say.

Paladin 4v4. Um, this [music] really depends, guys. So, this is just like the standard. So, valor surge as damage [music] boost, you got star shattering sword. Uh, you got the lunar water threads. The reason why Lunar Wire Threads is in third slot is just to give [music] enemies more time to act because once they act, they're most likely going to do like uh distancing skills where they're like going for a further away target like your mages. And so that way it gives them a chance to act and then they'll be positioned far away and you just pull them straight back to you into a taunt. [music] So that way you're stalling and keeping them in place longer. So really, really handy to do lunar water thread. Uh third slot, not second slot this time, third slot. Uh rebound [music] again, just doing reflect meta. And then block awareness, block mastery, iron fortress to death the entire team or death boost because um well, it's not dispellable. So that's very good.

Uh, let me see something real quick. Okay, so here's the the double tank for 4v4. So if you're running double tank in your team, then you could run potentially this uh I think this was really good [ __ ] Wait a minute. This was Am I looking at the wrong right picture here? Now, if you're running double tank, this is my opinion, but I don't think you need double [music] damage boost here. Uh, and I don't think you need to run double taunt here. So, I definitely think one person should divvy up the responsibilities. Feel free in the comments to correct me on this. I don't know if it's necessary to run double uh of of these stats, but definitely double rebound worked really well for Kippers and Night Shadow when they [music] were fighting um uh arch mages with AoE damage because then they would just do double reflect damage was which was [music] insane. Obviously, for sure, make sure one of them runs Iron Fortress. Uh, but don't have both run Iron Fortress because it's only like castable once. Uh, definitely both need um rebound shield for sure or block shield. Um, but yeah, I don't think damage boost is efficient to have two unless they're out of range of each other, but I would use maybe like one damage boost, the other one like forceful charge maybe. and then the other one running lunar water threads. So you forceful [music] charge and then the other one pulls them back in. I don't know. And both run star shattering sword. Uh, but I just wanted to show these pictures just to get your opinion on it cuz I'm not a thousand% sure here. But I definitely think you don't need to run double damage boost here [music] or double taunt. Um, but yeah, I I just wanted your thoughts on that one [music] uh particularly cuz it's not always in 4v4 that you're going to have one tank. Some some teams might have two tanks. So, something to keep in mind, free food for thought.

Uh, stat growth, uh, death HP is now 24%, [music] 16% for attack speed is 18% and block rates are now at 15%. Uh, but that's pretty much it for this uh, video. I really don't know what else to cover here. I think it's pretty straightforward. Uh, if I didn't answer [music] any questions, feel free to ask in the comments. If you have a better build in mind, again, share in the comments. You know, that's what comments are for, to share your opinion. And, you know, I'm not always right. So, feel free to [ __ ] on my builds. No big deal. But, uh, yeah, I'll see you guys in the next one. Last one is finally sorcerer/archch mage. So, finally can get rid of those D uh videos and I have a lot of exciting videos planned. So, cheers.
