[Music] The executive program and social impact strategy came to me at a really perfect time. We had all these ideas, but the program really helped me verbalize those ideas and see that they're not totally unique challenges.
One of the most impactful things that I took from the program and actually put into action was all the different tools that we learned. The course was very open to the students actually using, doing the projects on the organization they are working for. I'll be working with the organization, you know, kind of going through all of the tools that we've used in the first portion of the class to set the framework; have been extremely helpful to the social enterprise projects I'm working on. This program gives me language to understand other perspectives much better and a new perspective in how we can actually collectively, as different stakeholders, actually maximize our impact for ourselves and also for the beneficiaries who are being impacted by social programs.
There was no typical week while I was taking the course, and it was very tangible. I could go into the workplace and apply it, and I loved communicating with everybody. So it's the first time I've done online learning, so to speak, but it's extremely effective. You get a cup of coffee and you sit down to these video lectures, and within 5 minutes you feel like you're in a class. So I made time to do all of the readings, access to some of these materials that I wouldn't have without this program, and then taking all the assignments and going into work and doing them and involving my co-workers, sharing everything I'm learning, stumbling with them, and then building things with them, um, and then taking it back to the team in the program and getting real critical feedback that I could then apply was awesome. And that was happening every single week of the program, no matter which class we were in or what we were taking; real things were happening in real time.
