And we recently had the Mars Uranus conjunction on that week that um Donald Trump had his ear nicked. And we had major, major changes in the political sphere, at least in the United States. Probably in other areas as well, but I'm ignorant of that, so I can't comment on it.
So um, when these two come together, we have a new cycle of explosive changes. Changes that happen with a lot of energy. It can be quickly. It's like a bomb goes off and there the energy, what we do, it's a spurt or a lightning bolt. It's not like a Mars Saturn transit where things are going to slow down and become more methodical. No, they speed up and they become electric and they are difficult to contain. Containment is the point with a Mars Saturn transit, exploding out of our container so that we can do something more autonomous or freeing or freaky or spontaneous. That's the point of Mars and Uranus together. So we have a vibrating ball of nerves that goes on with these transits.
And really look at it like um, when we have Mars coming to conjunct Uranus, either for all of us like we did a, you know, last month, or personally, it's that moment that you put an arrow into a bow and you pull it back, and you're just about to let it go. And there's all that tension on the bow, and you got this going on because you're trying to hold back, and you have all this energy, this power contained right here. And so once we let it fly, once we let that go, and that's that point of of conjunction, and this is a new up to two-year cycle um of uh breakthroughs, breakthroughs in autonomy. Uh, how we say no all of a sudden, how we say yes all of a sudden. There is a blast of me that happens at the conjunction, and it's a blast of freedom. It's, it's progress that we see, personal progress when it comes to becoming more complete, whole, and living by our own agenda, living according to our own inclinations.
When we have any of these combinations, any of the combinations in transit of Mars and Uranus are going to push us to live according to our own inclination. So all the transits of Mars and Uranus are going to bring some kind of push back or inclusion when it comes to community, society, and the status quo. Because Mars is the individual. It's the id. It's the child within us, what's potentially immature or um, has attains some amount of self-control depending on how we utilize Mars. Uh, and then we have community, we have others, we have what's social with Uranus. So there's either some tension here between the individual and the group, the "I" and the "we," or there is a flow depending on what the aspect is. We don't have flow at the conjunction because these two are not quiet partners. Have to look at the nature of a conjunction. We have uh fire and air. Yeah. Uh, what does air do to fire? Especially uranian air. Um, it turns it into a flamethrower. So it's very much like a wildfire, and it's, you know, we're getting close to containing this, and then a bunch of wind comes in, and everything just takes off, and it's uncontained again. And it is totally uncontained with the conjunction because it is this feeling of launching and really not taking into consideration what it is that we're leaving behind. These are not empathic transits. These are not transits that have us. There's hard aspects. They do not have us considering what's good for all of us. These are selfish transits, and that can be good. Can be very good if you have something to break out of that is confining, that is um, not serving you. These can be, this can be an excellent conjunction to start off this period of better autonomy, you know, more complete autonomy in our life.
But um, if it is involved in a complex of aspects that already indicate selfishness, that indicate lack of inclusion or insight, this can be something where the way that we assert ourselves, the way that we respond to that lightning bolt, to that need to change or assert ourselves, it can be a selfish choice that we make. So, it's not going to be an automatic given that the types of explosions or breakthroughs that we experience with the conjunction of Mars and Uranus are good. So, now we're talking about Mars transits to Uranus today.
>> Okay, sweet. Thank you.
>> It's not going to be automatically good for everybody when we have Mars conjunct to Uranus. Doesn't imply that everybody is going to be served. And we will address that as these uh aspect as Mars makes its way around and makes other aspects to Uranus. But the um conjunction, if we are somebody that is really needing help on that process of individuation, for somebody that needs to say no, but for somebody that needs to assert ourselves in a really definitive way. This can be an excellent transit. Um, so we really need to look at what, how do I want to elevate myself when we have this conjunction? How do I want to be able to respond to the spontaneity within me in a way that furthers my personal agenda and my enlightenment, but it doesn't hurt and exclude and callously affect the people around me? How can we all win? This is a good thing about Mars Uranus transits is, is we can learn how we can be free, but it doesn't have to be at the expense of somebody else. We can be free without being selfish, inappropriately selfish. Inappropriately selfish.
All right. So, let's look at the sextile, which is a very good transit to have because it's very easy to inspire other people to help us, to include other people. Sex tiles are excellent. We don't spend enough time applauding them. Uranus is the group. Mars is how we charm people and use our energy into giving into into participating with us. So there's a feeling of being able to get closer to our own idea of freedom, enacting our own agenda, having those moments of enlightenment, and others can be a part of that. There's a good balance here between how I want to grow and what do others have to offer me? What do I have others to offer that can inspire them? So, we want to include others in our process of discovery. And we can respond to our the wishes on our heart. That's that's Uranus. Uranus is wish fulfillment. And between Uranus and Neptune, we have now what the divine creator does all the time, what he wants. He does what he wants. And this is a something that we're realizing when we're hooking into Uranus and Neptune energies. We're realizing that uh divine guidance is the wishes of our heart. And it's what we know that we should do. And I was having a conversation with Tusca recently, and we're talking about uh how it's so simple, the, you know, the voice of reason is also the voice of inspiration. And we know what we should do because we say it. We know what the the answer is. We know what the direction is because we say it all the time. We say, "I know what I should do, but I know it's good for me." But see, you do know. But then the identity, the reasons, the structures we set up, the relationships that we have, all of our traumatic scaffolding. This is this is the butt. So we are really actually very much in tune with the simplicity of that inner voice with the sex tile. We're, yeah, I know what I should do, and is the attitude. I know what I should do, and do you hear the hope? I know what I should do, and this is what I need to include and who I need to include to get there. So, it's very much a a a step of the right direction when it comes to getting to that end of the rainbow. The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is really there. It does exist. It doesn't exist in a three-dimensional reality, but it does exist within you, wisdom, wish fulfillment. So, this is a fun, it is a fun transit. This is a week where we can party, we can take risks, um, we we want to be social, and we can get away with all of that. So, it's a, it's a fun week leading us to the square between transiting Mars and Uranus.
Oh my, we know we're going to have conflicts here because squares involve a conflict between past and future. Where are we coming from and what are we prepared for versus where are we going and what does that require? And we can be focused more on asserting ourselves against the grain. We're not in the flow with this one. And that might be good because the flow might be something that is stupid. And perhaps we do need to go upstream, and we will identify that. We'll identify. All right, this is what I have to push against. And there's usually going to be push back because this is a social planet, Uranus. We're pushing against something that's expected or normal or traditional or uh, more groupthink, or it's, it's some kind of expectation. Is something having to do with the future? Something happening having to do with what we feel we are not in total control of. And so we are basically a turd when we have this square. It's a week of saying, "You know what? I know that's what you want from me, but or yeah, I know that's what you want from me." And and then we're going to figure out a way to work through that conflict between what I want in this moment and what I've agreed to or what I'm already invested in or what is confining, and I need to renegotiate here. So we do a lot of renegotiating with the people around us when we have the square regarding what do I really want to be doing here.
So this can be one of those days or one of those weeks where say we've gotten into a a habit of, you know, we make dinner and then we do the dishes and clean up the kitchen. Whereas before we used to make dinner. We used to make dinner and then our mate or our roommate or our mom or whoever we live with would do the cleanup, you know, but but there was a couple of nights that we went ahead ourselves, made dinner, also did the cleanup, and just kind of fell into that pattern. So, this can be the square that we're like, "Okay, I've made dinner and everybody's done." And then you start picking up the dishes and you're like, "Wait a minute. What the hell am I doing? What am I do? I've been making dinner and doing the dishes all for a month. Hello. Get in here. I'm not doing this anymore." Is this kind of renegotiation or recalibration or rebalancing? It doesn't come with a gentle conversation. We're not automatically going to, this is not a Mars, not like the Mars Pluto in conjunction today. We're not going to rip somebody a new, you know what, but it is a bit forceful in how we're saying, "No, I don't think so." We're going to be doing things in a way that is not taking advantage of me or disempowering for me. We can be forceful when it comes to asserting ourselves, and we may get the better end of the deal, and then we will have to recalibrate, renegotiate when we get to trying and we're in more of an inclusive mood. But all of the difficult aspects from transiting Mars to Uranus are going to bring this "hey buddy" kind of moment into our life. And we do want to be honest about what we need, what we want, what is our, you know, responsibility and and how we want to spend our time. We don't want to waste time with Mars Uranus and his transits. We don't want to waste time. We don't want to have things in our court that keep us from having the kind of freedom of movement that we want. So, uh, we push back with the square. Other people will push back at us as well. So be careful of your delivery because we can be rude. We can come off as insensitive. If you are somebody that struggles with standing up for yourself, this might be the week that that is actually good for you because you can stand up for yourself in a way that kind of takes others back, and maybe you get some respect back that you didn't have before. So, it's a, it's a sharp week. Shark week.
Um, all right. So, that brings us to the trine, where we're oh so happy. Oh, Tusca question.
>> Uh, hi Joel. I was just wondering um if you have this um, you know, is I know you said that in certain uh circumstances it can be good um, but what if you know you already have got things that are quite um assertive going on and um, you know, or uh what's a better word to use like um, uh you you basically have no problem acting in the moment. You're not passive. And then you have this um, you know, is is this more of a chance that you're going to uh make yourself possibly look and act very foolish or become very difficult?
>> Yeah. Because you already have a loaded gun, and then you're putting in more stupidity, ammunition of stupidity with this one. Because we do not think, we don't consider, we simply knee-jerk react.
>> With
>> this week or with with on particularly on this day. And so we're not considerate with this. And sometimes that's very good if you, if it's falling into a pattern that you're talking about, a pattern where we're already lacking empathy or very much about our own agenda. We can create a lot of backlash with this square because people are like, you know what, you're already such an [ __ ] and now you're asking for this or doing this. You know what? Get the [ __ ] out. Get the [ __ ] out.
>> Yeah. There can be a lot of push back from our social circle, our family, the people around us that are like, "Do you even see me? Do I exist at all?" So it, it, it can be a, a, a transit where we're asserting ourselves and we are not taking into account how we might be pissing off the people around us and thereby screwing ourselves.
>> Uh-huh. Right.
>> And um, uh, would you say that that's because when you have this square, there's just an automatic feeling of any kind of um, any kind of thing that you consider to be in any way containing, that you just uh, you see it as somebody stepping all over you?
>> Oh, that's like
>> Yeah. Yeah. We'll see it as an affront.
>> Okay.
>> To us and we will respond to that without stopping to think about the consequences. We, we, we experience the consequences with the square and on with the opposition on the back end.
>> Uh-huh.
>> So it, it, and a lot, a lot of times we are going to make some critical mistakes during these transits if we already, if it's falling into a pattern of selfishness or self-servingness. Um, we can actually, there could be, how do I want to put it? We can just screw ourselves so bad that um, we can't go back to the way things were.
>> Right. Right. Thank you.
>> Welcome. All right. The trine, where we have inclusion again. So it's much easier to identify what is written on our heart. What are our hopes and our dreams? What's our wish fulfillment? And how can we take from our environment, the people that we know, books, resources to launch us towards that is not a selfish transit. And that we have more of this myopic vision of um, me, what I want. It's more like me, what I want, and who has the skills, the knowledge, the experience to help me with this? So, we're actually quite inspirational. We can enroll others in our uh, hero's journey, in in our goal, in our dream with this trine. So it, it can actually be more fun because with the conjunction and with the square, it's like we want to, we're like, you know what, I'm going to party, and if I have to do it alone, I'm going to do it alone. We understand that at, at the trine, that exclusion or saying, you know, it's my way or the highway, that's going to put us in a position where we don't get to have the people. We don't get to have the support. We don't get to have the influence. We don't get to have the rewards that come with considering how we are affecting the environment and the people around us, and what they have to offer. So we don't care what they have to offer with most of the hard aspects because they're stupid. We understand with the easy aspects that, you know, other people, even though they're not us, might have good things to bring to the table. So we are actively seeking out what is expansive, not just what launches us in the moment. These are very spontaneous transits. But with the trine, trines always give us perspective. Always. We have this really good vision of past and future, and they imply excellent preparation. That the, the need that's connected between trine, of the need for further autonomy, to explore our own individuality, it comes with, with the trine, it comes with broad vision, so we can see where we've come from and where we want to go, and we feel prepared. We don't feel like with a square, like, like this is where I'm planning from. This is where I want to go. I'm unprepared. I'm going there in spite of all of it. It's, we don't move mountains with trine. We move mountains with squares. We do. That's the often the problem, and even the belief in that I have to move mountains can often be the problem. So we um, we take a sky gondola with the Mars Uranus transit. But the other difficult transits of Mars to Uranus, we just get out our hiking stick and you're like, you know what? Screw you all. I'm going up that mountain alone. When I get up there, you're going to see how good I am. Yeah, I got so much to prove. Get out of my way. You start charging up that mountain, leave everybody behind. But the trine, it's like, okay, we're in the gondola with everybody, and we're all talking. We're all experiencing the view. We're sharing our experiences. We're helping each other. We're eating cheese and drinking wine and going up the mountain of the Swiss Alps. And then we look out and we see our square self down there. Get up there, man. There's stupid people. I'm going to get up there one way or another. They're going to see me. I'm, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Then we find, then we look up. We're like, "Yeah, stupid people up there in that gondola. It's probably going to crash anyway." Keep going. Especially the opposition to a really nasty. But with the trine, we're just happy to allow the timing and the timing of others to occur. We want things instantly with the hard transits between Mars and Uranus. We're arguing with divine timing. We're arguing with the agendas of others. But with the trine, we just reach out. It's actually extremely lucky transit. We can have people show up for us, and we can reach out in ways because our our our frequency is inclusive. We have the bubbliness of of Mars mixed with the invitation for others to contribute. We're open with Uranus. This is a good vibe that we've got going on here. Other people want to be around us because it's very effervescent. It's very exciting. They want to hear about our plans, and they often will want to do things with us. They want to include us. It's more of a party rather than a a party to prove ourselves. It's a party to enjoy ourselves, and everybody gets a little bit of us. You know, we're keeping ourselves to ourselves. We're using our energy. We're using our fuel at the hard transits, but at the easy transits, we are um enjoying the, we're enjoying the moment instead of trying to force our way faster to the next one. So if you want help, if you want uh promotion, if you want to start a new like potluck night, if you're looking to gain friends, this is a good transit to start out with because we are, we have this social bubbliness and willingness within us.
So that brings us to the opposition, um, which is the answer to the conjunction. We are very keen to do our own thing, and we can feel that others are keeping us from doing that. The force of our willpower and the way that we just announce that this is what I'm doing can bring an answer that it proves to us that we were right to just spontaneously announce what we're doing because the other person opposed us. We have to look at our delivery. This is one of those things where um, say we're married, we're sitting there watching TV, and our spouse just like stands up. They're like, "You know what? I'm going to go tour Japan for a month." Yeah. They start planning it and doing this, and then you, the other mate sitting there looking at him like, is that right? Um, yeah, we have that wedding that we're going to go to next month. We have so-and-so's graduation. Uh, you told me you would help me finish working on the foundation of my greenhouse. Uh, carpool. And the other person is like, the one with the opposition, "I knew that you were, you, you were going to stand in my way. All I want is some time where I can explore, you know, my own dreams and my own stuff, and and here you are standing in my way. See, I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. I, I don't get to have my own time." And you will get more push back like, you know what? Uh, no. No, you're not going. Or we might get the other one. You know what? Yeah, do go. In fact, go now. You should leave now. And maybe you should just stay there. That can often be the response we get is, "Oh, you want to do your own thing? Yeah, go ahead. Don't [ __ ] come back." Because what have we put out there? We've just stood up and announced, "This is what I want to do." It, irrespective of what is around us. Um, so we have to look at what, what am I hearing? What am I getting back? Is, is that something that, what does that tell me about myself and the position that I'm in? Uh, we will probably have to come to terms with some kind of uh, sharing or compromise, or we may not be able to do what we want exactly at that moment that we want to do it because there is an inclusive factor involved with an opposition. So we will have to work with the people around us or the environment around us, and that does slow us down to some degree. If you already have this opposition and then this happens in a grand cross or gets in the middle of it, this can be really hard for us to see that the other person who pushes back against us has any amount of a good point. We can really see that as because we already have the story within us. If we have the opposition for Mars Uranus, that um, "I'm not allowed to be myself. Everybody always opposes me when I assert my willpower." We already have that story. And with an opposition, when we already have a story within us, we must see that story reflected back to us, or else our ego will fall apart. And so we act in such a way, uh, consciously or unconsciously, where we will get that response consistently. But that has to be mirrored back to us, or else that story we have within ourselves is not legitimate, and we'll have to look at ourselves. We'll have to look at where is that story coming from, and what does that serve?
Tusca, sorry, Joel, what you just said there, the past five sentences or so, was just magic. Can you please, it was too fast for me to write. Can you just please repeat what you just said?
>> It was from when you said that um, uh, you know, you tell yourself it is your story.
>> That you tell yourself that everyone will oppose me when I assert my willpower. Yes.
>> And that, yes, that makes.
>> Any opposition is like that, and all of our aspects have a story. They all are attached to a belief. But the opposition, we must see in reality that story reflected back to us. And so that is, we don't see it with the conjunction. We don't need to see it. We don't, it's, it's, it's not something that we must see reflected in others because we don't know it's in ourselves.
>> Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
>> Um, and so we don't attribute it, uh, to to others either.
>> Oh, no.
>> With the opposition, see, if I have a Mars Pluto opposition, say my story is that you are trying to disempower me. You are trying to sexually or physically assault me. You are trying to control me. And so we approach people in a way where that story must be externalized onto that person. So almost everybody is going to react in a way that is going to reinforce that story. Except when you deal with an enlightened person who does not pick up the karma ball. And this is why people who are nonreactive and active are a perfect mirror for someone with internal stories to project those onto, and then the mirror shatters because the story does not go anywhere. There is no enforcing reaction, and so all you see is yourself. You don't see yourself in the other person. All you see is what you did. So a good example is, we have a Mars Pluto opposition. We bring out the worst in people regularly, and that reinforces that, oh God, people are just the worst. But we need to see the worst in them upfront so we know exactly what's in there so we can defend ourselves. We need to see it. We're gonna, we have to see it. So when you come upon somebody and you, you're like, you treat them nasty, and then they don't do it back. What the hell just happened?
>> Mhm.
>> Where did that? It didn't go anywhere. There's, they're gentle back to you. It, it, it, the shame and the humiliation is immediate in those situations. And you can also see this in change. You know that you've changed. You know you've gone through that 180-degree turnaround. You've changed. You've had your a werewolf moment when you respond differently. When you act, when something happens, and you are different, and the thing is, is it's natural. You didn't even do it. You see yourself. You observe yourself. Whoa, that was different. People get a different response. That's when you know you've changed.
>> So that's what inspires changes when we have oppositions is when you know we've been being a certain way all of our life, and then somebody does not reflect that back to us. They don't participate, is the thing. It just has us starting to question, how did I treat that person? Why did I do that? It forces introspection. So does that help?
>> Yes, definitely. So um, uh, that makes sense to me why you have always said that um, the conjunction comes with like a um, with like a default feeling of empowerment because you don't have those sets of beliefs like you do with the opposition. It's, it's just, it's making sense.
