Feeling Heaven on Earth: Misty’s Story of Faith & Transformation

Living God's Light35:31

Transcription

In this episode of the Living God's Light podcast, it just seemed like a switch flipped after I started feeling heaven on earth through the process of living God's light and really immersing myself in that heaven stance. I just want to show people how great it can be. I want to show people how good it can feel to see the light. Like I feel like once you see it, you can't go back. I am I am I am I am I am living God's light. Look what I got, guys. So cute.

"Where did you get that, Alissa?"

"I got it on the website, Lynn."

"It's so No, it's actually like really good quality. Like, I wasn't expecting it to be such good quality. and put it in my car this morning when I took the kids to school and it fit real real good. So, didn't even bounce in the car hold cup holder. So, cool."

"Yeah. Super cool."

"Yeah, it's nice. We've had a lot of people asking for that. We're still working on jewelry. Yeah, we we'll get there. We'll get there. Yeah, we're getting there. Yeah."

"Uh Misty, I'm so excited to see you today."

"Hello."

"Misty is part of our Living Gods Light community and she is a valuable member. Um Misty, can you kind of introduce yourself and how I mean we don't have to get right into it right away, but kind of introduce yourself and who you are?"

"Yeah, my name is Misty Rose Lane and I am a beacon of loving God's light. I love the community. I love the message. I love everything about just the light and God and the work that it's doing and I'm just very passionate about it. I'm a mother. I am all the labels, you know, but I know who I am and I am here to serve and I am here to love in that light and I'm a facilitator for living God's light. I have basically prayed and clawed my way into that by loving and bugging Lynn and you guys. But yeah, I started my group facilitating and I just really love it and I'm passionate about serving and spreading the message of living God's life."

"So So I've got to jump in here and just say Misty is one of the most openhearted and loving people I have ever ever met. And I met a lot of people. I mean, she is is to the point where I mean, you can see it in action in everything that she does, but you can she's the kind of person that just standing next to her or seeing her across the room, you're just like, "Oh my goodness, that person embodies love. You just she's just phenomenal at that." Uh, and then as far as like you said kind of clawing your way in. The uh the funny thing sometimes we have people ask, "Hey, how can I help? What can I do in living God's light?" And uh Misti is an example of of how to do that. We're the community is growing. We're kind of like carrying a candle in the dark and some of the things that we're figuring out. But uh Misty was just there and said, "Here, let me help with this, offered suggestions on things to do and we tried some things out." And then when we put the call out for anybody who wanted to help develop a workbook, she was there. And when we went through the second version, she was there again. And then when we asked who wants to be a facilitator, she was there again. So, um, I was very happy to see her every time. It's funny that you mentioned kind of clawing your way in because I felt I was like, "Misty, we this is we'd love to have you." And didn't even have to ask. She was just there. Um, and is just a really embodiment of what Living God's Light's all about. Yeah."

"What's also really cool is you've been here before me, girl. And it it's just I don't know. I feel like it's all divinely orchestrated. The way I met Lynn, the way I met Vinnie, everything, the way I met you even, it's all so divinely connected. And I swear it just it's like that snowball effect where once you see that light, once you feel it and that connection to God, but I wasn't always, you know, living a great life and I wasn't always living in the light. And I don't know, it just seemed like a switch flipped after I started feeling heaven on earth through the process of living God's light and really immersing myself in that heaven stance. And yeah, I don't know."

"So, so I'd love to get there and I'd love to get to where we first met because I still remember uh were you and your friend um when you came up to the table at the book signing we were doing."

"Before we get to there, you mentioned the the hard life that you've had and and that transition. Uh tell us because I don't I mean even I don't know if uh I know Vinnie knows some. I don't know how much Alyssa knows. Uh tell us about that journey like where you where you started, where you come from, how that's influenced your life. I mean just and and I know it's it could like fill a book. So, yeah, just kind of give us a an overview of of that journey and how you ended up here. Um, and then uh you know we'll maybe jump in some with some questions to dig deeper in any particular points but yeah, just go ahead and kind of give us a an overview of that."

"Yeah, for sure. Um, so I was raised by u my mom mostly. She was in her and my father were both in the polygamous community in Utah. I know it seems really weird and people have seen the documentaries and yeah, it's real. And both of my parents came from that and they got married and had me at 15, 16, so they were very young. Um, so my mom left that community and just kind of had a harder life. She didn't know how to be a mom, you know, and my dad kind of went off and went on his own way. But I just always had angels. I always knew I was protected. Like I would be in bad situations as a very young child and I had people that my mom would leave me with and they would protect me. and I saw things and went through things that not a lot of kids should. And now I see it as just a great path of learning and protection. I had a best friend in um 9th grade and it was probably my most traumatic year of my life where um I had I think a near-death experience where I saw the tunnel and the light and and or it could have even been an outer body experience like I saw my body. It was very surreal. I knew that that baby, that child, you know, that ninth grader needed help and I could see it from an outside view. And then I even went back into my body and I could see the tunnel and whatnot, but I knew it wasn't my time. I think it was more of an out of body. I don't know, it was a really weird experience, but that happened. And then also my best friend in 9th grade um ended up developing schizophrenia and her mom had had it. and then grew up, had children, committed suicide. Um, but anyways, my friend in ninth grade, she develops it while we're friends and I get sent off to live with my dad because we were in a very tumultuous time. I mean, we were hanging out, we were in nth grade hanging out with drug dealers. I had had a 21-year-old boyfriend living with us at one point. Like, it was just a very, very tumultuous time. But after that experience, I knew that that wasn't the time for me. That wasn't the path for me. It wasn't I knew I needed to change. And almost I think within a couple months, I got sent to live with my dad. And that was a godsend. It was heaven on earth. Like he gave me structure. He gave me discipline. And I needed that. Um, and that's why too I'm so called to help teenagers. I'm so called and passionate to connect with them and show them how amazing they are because I was there and I needed just that one person to believe in me and my dad did and it was it was a change of my life. But also it was my choice. It was a very conscious choice cuz I could have went back and hung out with that crowd. You know that crowd we say that crowd is me. Um, that crowd is us. But um, so yeah, it was like it was hard, but I look at it now as such a beautiful beautiful gift because now I'm good at certain things. I live opposite of how my mother lived. Um, and that's another story too because I love my mother now and she's changed and she is rewriting history and she is she's clearing all the generational trauma now by doing things in her life to help kids that she couldn't help back then. Like she couldn't help me. She didn't know how, you know, but that was her journey and her path as well. And I look at it as it's it's not personal. It was she didn't know. And once I just looked at that perspective and everything else cuz I had thought that I had forgiven her and I did in a certain way, but to actually love her, I had to go through a process and love myself. And that didn't happen until the living God's light switch and all that other stuff processed. But yeah, so all that stuff happened and I lived a pretty decent, you know, cookie cutter life for a while. until I had my two older kids and um I just knew that there was more for me. I knew that that life, that cookie cutter, like trying to fit in, trying to climb that ladder just wasn't for me. It was just a divine thing where I heard about Vinnie on the radio and he was talking to Frankie and Jess, which is a radio station here. But anyways, they're really good people. You know Frankie and Jess? Um, I'm pretty sure Vinnie was talking to Frankie and Jess and telling him about it and I was like, "Oh, that sounds like a cool book." And so I ordered it and I heard Frankie talk about how it changed his life. And I was like, "Oh, that's interesting." And so as soon as I got the book, I read it in one night. It was so fast. It was just instant. And I had even contacted Vinnie and he contacted me back and was like, "Yeah, you're you know, you should write a book." Because I, that's the thing, too. I wanted to look into writing my story because I do think it could help people. I do think that kids are the light of this earth and they need that just that spark that seed planted in them. But even going back in I was saying that was my worst or not my worst that was my most growing experience in 9th grade. Um, but so my friend Britney, she ended up committing suicide after having three children and growing up and not being able to handle life as much. You know, it's it's hard obviously. I don't understand that side of things and that label. Um, but I I end up getting divorced. You just know when you have to go. I just knew that there was greater and different callings for myself. And so I get with my current spouse. He's absolutely wonderful as well. He is a perfect fit for me. He is everything that I am not. And we have our six-year-old that about 2 years into our relationship, he ends up developing schizophrenia, which I also believe is a label. I don't I think it's a snapshot in time, a gift in a different sense. Um, but he ends up developing it. And it just puts us on this path of, okay, how can we deal with this? How can we make this better? Because I love you and I want to love you the rest of my life. Like, this is where I'm meant to be. And I think the connection with the schizophrenia and Britney and him, it all just like I meant to be in places for certain things. And yeah, I'm just really grateful. And the book also has helped my husband with his labels and his connection to God and authenticity and love for himself."

"Yeah, your husband is an amazing guy. I love him immensely. He's uh I agree. Perfect perfect fit and you both have just got the biggest hearts. It's just I love being around both of you. Uh, so you talked about um this searching that you had. You're looking for things. Can you describe what that felt like? What did like did you have a clear idea what it was you were looking for or were you just kind of going in a direction? How how did that work?"

"So, not at the time. I was very partying. I was very um we were drinking a lot. We were just I was very in a different space and I couldn't hear the whispers cuz that's the thing too. You have to be able to hear those whispers. you have to be able to. So it just kind of kept on kicking me like you know the when you don't listen to the universe in that sense then it just kind of kicks you. So things just kept happening where I was like wait this isn't for me this isn't for me. This isn't for me and it just kept spiraling to where I was like this isn't that bad but it's not for me. I just started getting more into knowing myself. I think once that contrast happened, it opened up doors to like more spirituality because I was looking for something else. I was searching and so then I was introduced to um say like Dolores Cannon or Abraham Hicks, that kind of stuff just to kind of connect myself with the spirit world or love. Honestly, it's love because I didn't have religion and a lot of people will get that connection from religion, right? And I never had that. and even growing up in Utah being very heavy LDS. We were never religious because my mom had came, you know, from the polygamist background and she didn't want anything to do with that anymore. So, it just kind of was the opposite of religion."

"So, so just clarify that. Uh, so your mom was part of something. So, there's some religious elements to those communities as well, right?"

"Um, yeah, I can see how having a bad experience with a religious community would make you want to step away from that completely. And uh, yeah, sounds like that spiritual journey and that's with living God's light. There's as you know, we don't it's something that can overlay any religion or no religion. It's really just kind of a a way of living to connect with God wherever you're at and that community."

"Well, you know, I I love that from the earliest of age, you you accepted that there was these protectors around you in, you know, in the unseen and that you had these nudges all your life, uh, the nudges of your intuition and you would you would follow it. It's one thing that, you know, religions try to teach us is how to, you know, build that connection. You're one of the few that came into Living God's Light already with like this great relationship with your intuition, and that's that's a lot of what led you into the Living God's Light community. Um, but I, you know, me and Andrea, we love uh that you and your husband are have these size differences because it's like um you you come in this little frame, but yet um you have this huge soul. So, it matches your husband like so well, right? And he's kind of shy, quiet, ginormous. Yeah. It's It's awesome. It's just it's really a beautiful thing to partake to see how God put you two together and how that process worked and how you you you definitely are the yin to his yang. You you complete each other. Definitely. And uh, yeah, it's a beautiful thing to see to see someone who can follow that intuition at the earliest of ages cuz we have it most of us have it very strong when we're children but we just lose it as we get older."

"So Misty, I'm curious what were some things after you read the book like what were some what did you immediately put into practice and how did your reality start changing?"

"I think immediately I started analyzing how I felt about other people. Um, the prejudices, the there's it's the way of Vinnie's explaining that there is no reason or Drake even to be mad at anybody. Like we can take something personal. We can I think it helped me love people so much more unconditionally. Like I still get bugged and you know like I'm traffic and this and that. Nobody's perfect. Like I am living a human life and I love it. But I can understand a lot more of why people do the things they do. I understand exactly why my mom's life was the way it was. I understand maybe even why, you know, that guy is hurting that person or I don't know. I just I understand a lot more from what I've went through and from what I've seen. And just like the book says, like you have to not take it personal. You have to look at it as this person is perfect no matter what. He is divinely loved by God and it doesn't make us any different. It gives us different journeys. But I think honestly the book helped me really truly and look to serve. I think it helped me look for ser to serve and to listen like as you were saying to listen to those nudges but I've not always been good at that and that's like stories. Yeah. Cuz even meeting you was divinely timed and it's saved so many lives even cuz I've given this book to friends in certain times of need where it just clicked for them."

"How many books do you think you've given away?"

"Don't know. I think it's close to 40 like 50. I'm not sure. Since I since you got a lot of them from me, there's 50 books in a box about."

"Okay. So, maybe a hundred then. But Okay. It feels good though. And it feels good to talk to people."

"That is a lot, Misty. It's awesome. Do you know why though? It's cuz I want to connect with people about it. Like when I can talk to my friends about it and we can just bounce back and forth, it's so much fun. Like talking about the light and the future fun things is so much more fun than gossiping and bull crap."

"But I need to take a note from you because I I recognize I think I've given away three or four is all. That's not very good. You probably borrow them though. But but I realize I actually am in listening to you I'm a little bit I stay in like the I want to stay comfortable space and I don't want to like force this on anybody. I want them to just be naturally curious and come to me if you want a book, you know, but I need to take a note from Misty and be bold and just offer like, you know what, this is what I'm really passionate about. This story really changed my life. you know, if you're interested, here you go. And it's not I don't have to I'm not telling them read this tonight and you have to get back to me. You know, it's"

"Well, that's another thing I had to kind of surrender as well is if they don't read it or if they don't like it, that has nothing to do with me. Yeah. And it is nothing I can't like if they hated it, guess what? That's their choice and their journey. And you can get to God. You can get to that connection. a million different ways. Yeah. And that's why I love just everything that's going on right now because there's so many avenues to get to God. And this has been my favorite obviously cuz it's changed so many beautiful lives. But yeah, he's always there."

"Well, one of the things I love that you said is you want to talk with people about it and not just gossip or talk about meaningless things. And that resonates so much with me. Um, there's somebody that wanted to get together for actually had a lunch meeting yesterday. uh didn't know I mean he's he's working on a project that he wanted some input on and I'm sounded like a fun thing to talk about and we ended up talking for probably three hours because it was we were just talking about meaningful deep things and and kind of philosophy and and how all of this fits together with spirituality and it was such a fulfilling conversation because it meant I mean it was substantive it wasn't just oh what's going on with this what's going on with that and just things that don't matter. Um, so I love that and I love that you are intentionally creating opportunities to have those conversations with people."

"Yeah, it's beautiful. You know, I I'm amazed that you've you've given away a hundred. That's so awesome. I I lived that book and I've given away I I have given away a little over a hundred. Um, but you know, my new thing is um I keep them on me so that when intuition says hey leave one here, I'll go leave one here and there. Uh, I've heard so many stories now. Uh, the first time I heard one of these was the book was left on top of a gas pump and just which I I attribute that one to you. I think it was whether whether you take that or not. Uh, there was a gentleman who had you know written his suicide note, loaded a firearm and was about to um do the act when he had this intuitive nudge. Don't leave the don't leave the suburban empty. Go fill it up with gas. That's the That's the least you could do for your wife and your kids is fill up the Suburban with gas because, you know, it's a hassle, those those big uh SUVs. So, he goes to the gas station. He hooks up the the gas and he sees this book sitting on top of the pump and it says the light after death. And here he is with a note already written at home. and and he thinks, well, you know, I'll read a couple of pages while I'm waiting for this gas to fill up. And as you know, a gas guzzler suburban, it's going to be a little bit. He was able to get a few pages in before he even left the gas station. and um he knew uh about three pages in that this was something he needed to digest and it was going to help give him an understanding of why he felt so broken. And um, you know, I've I've met him personally twice now. And he swears he swears by um God using uh an angel to bring a book just sitting on a gas pump um at a KICO gas station. Wow. and was able to, you know, keep himself from doing a a very big mistake and and be there for another day, another week. Now, how many years ago? That was 2 years ago. And it's it's not everybody's story, but man, that was a really neat one for me. And so, I'm I'm very cognizant now of a nudge to leave one somewhere."

"Well, and like it's not hard to just leave a book, right? Like I think sometimes we get all in our heads that we need to be so connected that we need to be the one to save somebody's life, right? But it's not that at all. It's seriously just listen. And you know what? Sometimes we have to go, you know what? Actually going to a stranger is too hard for me. and being honest and with ourselves about that and being honest like spirit guides like this that doesn't work for me. Can you help me in another way still be of service and yeah, how easy it is to just drop a book and let let the guides take it from there, right? Yeah, definitely. Yeah. I didn't expect this to be a hey everybody the book's great but but realizing that the the purpose of this um well the purpose of the book so one of our friends the the guy who helped published this Richard Paul Evans one of the things that he points out to um his writing students is every movement starts with a book everything big starts with a book and that's really uh the light after death is really a a cornerstone a foundation of what living God's light's all out because uh those 10 principles that are in there really it opens the door to a wider way of thinking that invites people across that threshold into kind of a deeper connection with God and also everybody in the community understands we kind of have that common language."

"Misty, you mentioned authenticity. It was being au realizing your authentic self and being true to that self is what carried you on this journey. It's not always easy either because what are you talking about? It's not easy."

"Well, I mean, there's Yeah, there's certain things that I don't talk to certain people about cuz I know they're not open to it, but I love them. So,"

"Missy, I want to ask you are one of our facilitators uh for the So, the when the book came out, there's the 10 principles in there and a lot of people said, "Hey, these principles are great and they seem simple, but they're kind of hard to implement. can you give us something that'll help us implement this?" And so that started us on the journey of creating the workbook and we realized from the beginning that with this community idea, it's easier and more effective to be on that journey with other people. So we created the workbook. You can do it on your own, but it's designed to be used in a group. And then we have this idea of having facilitators to help guide through that because they're not instructors. So Misty, tell us a little bit about like being a facilitator and how is your group going? Like what's the experience been?"

"So it's brand new. We're only on our fifth um lesson. I guess we're on our sixth one next week, but out of 12. It's um yes, it's amazing to connect with people. I feel like that's what typically we all t we want in our learning and our growth is that connection and I think that that is irreplaceable when you get together once a week and you talk about these light love good things. It just helps that growth and that solidity of I do want to be accountable for being authentic or I do want to be better about, you know, writing down my journal. And it's just it's a connection and accountability that can't be done on your own. So, I mean, you can do almost everything on your own, but there's definitely the fruit of life in other people. So, so one one thing I want to point that might be similar a little bit maybe you can touch on this Vinnie is most NDE experiencers um they come back and have a hard time assimilating their experience into life. Right."

"Absolutely. Yeah. I I would say majority have a hard time reintegrating into their old life the way that they were before. Um, I'm blessed that I was building my life when mine happened. So, I, you know, reintegration was not going to be a problem for me. I was a single guy. Um, but a lot have a hard time coming back into religion, coming back into a marriage. Um, it's it's quite uh rare that they're able to come back and reassemble their old life, but but rebuild it in a new way. And that's that's something I love about the book is is it helps people, you know, be a better version of their old self. I love that so much that we can still be who we are, but we can see a better way. We can find a better way, uh, a more authentic, more connected, more intuitive way of being. Yeah."

"So one I guess one point that I from my own experience with your with the book with the light after death is you know I never want to compare my experience to a death experience. I didn't die you know but it was so spiritual. It was so sacred to me that I I really didn't know how to talk to people about it. I would try and then they go, "Oh yeah, I've heard an NDE story." And I'd go, "Okay." Like, "You're not we're not talking about the same thing here." And um so it's similar in the regard that it was so transformative to me that I didn't know who to talk to. I didn't know how to fully put it into my life. Right? And um so that's what these facilitated groups do is they help you take this transformative story that made such an impact and now apply it to your life and do it with friends, right? Friends. Friends who are interested in the same thing likely have experiences like you and it's that much more powerful. So it's kind of like if you want to break a match, it's very easy. Takes very little energy. But if you take a little bundle of matches, uh it's near impossible to break. And and you know, by ourselves on the spiritual journey, it's very hard for us to uh weather the storm. But yet if we can find a small community, a small family of sorts energetically, even from different religions and different locations, we find um a kinship, a spiritual kinship, and it gives us that strength to be stronger. Unless I'm glad you mentioned uh something you can do with friends because even though Living God's Light has facilitators, you don't have to do use one of the Living Gods Light facilitators. Um, I have seen looking at at workbooks going out, there's the option to get several workbooks and you can facilitate your own group. You can rotate every week who the facilitator is. There's lots of ways to do it. Just do something intentional to build that connection uh with God and with people around you. So, um, if there is one message that you would share with the world, what would that be?"

"Share your light. Don't keep it inside. share it. Like if you have something inside of you or even if it's just a tiny little compliment that is a shred of light you can just share. It's plant those seeds like shine your light so brightly that the darkness can't even see you anymore. You know, it's always there."

"Well, I love that. That that's such a simple but so powerful recommendation. Don't don't hold your light. Let it out. And what's I think amazing about that is as we let our light out and we share it, it only gets stronger. It only gets brighter. For our last question for you, Misty, um we love to leave our guests with the question of how is Misty living God's life?"

"I feel like I wake up living God's light. I've really soaked in the hour of power. Um, that is one of my favorite things in the world to do every single morning is to be grateful that I woke up to be grateful that this day is in front of me to declare that this is the greatest day of my life. Like it's it's amazing to feel that light in your life too and living it more. I would say I've started baking sourdough which has become my love language and my passion. I just want to so every every time I bake I bless it. I love it. I sing to it. I I bless it with light codes. I bless it with love and then I give it away. And I swear like it just makes me feel so good to give away a little bit of nourishment to love something. And yeah, I don't know. It's just my way now of connecting with people too to say, "Oh, do you need bread?" Or, "Oh, there there's a neighbor maybe I haven't talked to as much." And yeah, now I'm trying to reach into that venue more and living God's light and to sharing my my bread and my my light. So, I love that you're always noticing um little little tokens of God everywhere, whether it's a sunset or it's a just beautiful scenery that you're discovering or just a a a new experience. I just want to show people how great it can be. I want to show people how good it can feel to see the light. Like, I feel like once you see it, you can't go back. And I know Alyssa feels the same way. Like once you get that feeling in your heart, I mean, you go up and down and it's hard to get back up sometimes after the universe has been like, "Oh, listen." But you know that your baseline is love. You know that feeling to get back to is just right there and you crave it and you have to get back to it. So, thank you for expanding your light today.
