[Music] Welcome back to the channel. So, it's the weekend and you know what we do on the weekends? What do we do? We go through the Apple news. I'm going to go through about 20 or 25 different Apple related news stories, some tech sales. I even have a beer on the weekends. We have some fun. So, sit back and relax and let's get into, you know, the weekend Apple news. Okay.
Story number one. I'm going to need some help understanding this. It's got me a little concerned. Let's take a look. Mac rumors. MacBook Pro with OLED display to launch late next year. Says right here, Apple will launch the first MacBook Pro models with OLED displays in late 2026, according to a new report out of Korea discussing the supply of OLED panels. And we can see a little picture here. So, couple things. Well, actually, let's continue then. I'll come back to why this has got me a little bit concerned. It goes on to say that dealsite.co.kr KR reports that Samsung Display will be the sole supplier of OLED panels for the new MacBook Pro models thanks to its heavy investment in Gen 8.6 OLED production lines. You can see it right there.
So, why has this got me a little bit worried first of all and from a weird site like this from Korea? Well, first of all, I'm almost positive that all of the OLED screens are going to be supplied by Samsung. Now, that's a lot of reports coming out on that. This is a Korean kind of web tech website and I'm sure they have some connections in Korea. So, it's probably true that this might be coming out in late 2026. So, what does this mean with all the news we've been hearing lately? Okay. So, if you watched like Max Tech and some of those channels lately and you've heard from Mark German, a lot of people now are saying that there's going to be no M5 launch of the MacBook Pros this year. It's going to be pushed to the beginning of next year. So, what does that mean? Does that this seems really odd. So, I mean, and in fact, Max Tech, I think, was saying that the next iteration is going to have the OLED, but not what this article is saying here. This is late 2026. So, this this doesn't even, you know, doesn't match up. So, either we're going to get the M5s in November, we're going to get the M5s in January with no OLEDs, and then we're going to get these M6s way at the end of the year in 2026. But would Apple actually do both of those in the same year? Would they actually launch the M5 and the M6 within one year? Does that make any sense? Or even worse, are they going to just skip the M5 altogether and actually come out with the M6 version of it with the OLEDs later in the year in 2026 and kind of skip the M5s? This is where I'm having some hard time understanding exactly what's going on here. Especially with, like I said, Max Tech and uh Mark German coming out with all these different rumors. It's got me thinking like there's something going on here. I just do not know what it's going to be.
Okay, if I had to take a guess here, I just don't think the uh OLED is ready yet. So, I think the M5s are going to come out in the next 3 months. This is my best guess. Then what I think is going to happen is that in 20 late 2026, whether it's November, October, somewhere somewhere late there, we're going to get the M6s with the OLED screens from Samsung. That's my best guess. But you guys let me know with all the information you've been reading and hearing. Post in the comments to tell me what you think's coming. It's just interesting topic to me because it's so important with MacBook production and stuff, but I just don't know. And here we are again. Unknown.
Okay, for story number two, this is going to make sense in a second, but first let's read it over here. Mac rumors. OpenAI brings faster, smarter GPT5 model to ChatGPT users. OpenAI today introduced I guess GPT5 which is the company says brings a significant leap in intelligence with fewer hallucinations. Now that's exactly what Apple wanted but this is ChatGPT but stay with me for a second. All right. It says the model offers improved performance across coding and math writing health and visual perception and more. OpenAI says that ChatGPT5 is its best coding model to date as well. That's all good news, right? According to OpenAI, ChatGPT is significantly less likely to hallucinate compared to prior models. With web searches enabled, GPT5's responses are 45% less likely to include a factual error than GPT40. That was just the last one. I believe responses are 80% less likely to have errors than OpenAI 03. Imagine that. That's really really just in a short period of time. The weird thing in here, the weirdest part about this, it says there's four personalities that users can select for the GPT5, including cynic, robot, listener, and nerd. Look at that. That's crazy. I don't know if I do the cynic and the nerd's probably the best one, right? They're going to be right all the time. Anyways, you get the idea.
So, why is this important for Apple? Right over here. Mac rumors. It says iOS 26 to bring ChatGPT5 integration to Apple intelligence. Here we go. This is what's tying in ChatGPT5. Apple intelligence will integrate OpenAI's newly launched ChatGPT5 model when the iOS 26 arrives next month. Apple has confirmed according to 95 Mac. So, this is not a rumor. Apple's actually confirmed this. So, the integration means Siri will tap into the latest AI model with Apple's own systems when when Apple's own systems can't handle specific requests, which is quite a bit. Chatp5, which OpenAI announced Thursday, offers enhanced reasoning capabilities and coding tools and better voice integration, stuff like that, like we just talked about. So, this is the good news. So, Apple's finally getting the idea, hey, listen, if we can't win it by ourselves, let's just join someone that's winning and and move ahead, right? That's what they're doing here. And uh the newest version that just launched, I guess today or yesterday, is going to be available and and this is coming out in the next couple weeks, iOS 26. So, long story short, get ready for it. It's going to be nice and it's going to work really well and we're going to see the future of Apple because I think Apple's ultimately going to be using ChachiB for everything. I don't think they're going to be doing their own, but we'll see. Slow. Only time will tell.
Okay, this next product in my hand right here is a really cool and innovative product. I want to just introduce it to you really quickly. This is what they call the Mukaya USBC 8 in1 docking station laptop stand. The model number is a Hub M48. So, it's a mouthful. So, what is this? Well, first of all, it's a stand. All right. And the reason I love this thing so much, just hold on one second. I'm going to put this in front of the microphone because it's going to make a lot of noise, but you can see it here. It fits in your bag. It's really small, but you can go ahead and put your iPhone in the stand. You can also put an iPad on this on the stand as well. And then you can go ahead and look at that. And as I'm talking about this, I'm going to be showing you pictures because again, it fits all of your devices here. And it's got those little kind of grooves in here that let you move it at any angle you want. And it can hold a ton of weight on it. It's a really good innovative stand. And if you look over here, the pricing is really phenomenal for what it is, right? So, if it was just a stand, it would probably worth be worth that cost because it can do it for all your devices. But this thing is so much more than that. So, let me introduce. It's actually an 8 in1 hub as well. And the reason this is perfect for travel is because first of all, the size of it. It completely folds open like I showed you here. And you can fold it many different ways. Actually, let me put this thing down here. I don't want to do it right here because it's going to make too much noise. Long story short, you can fold this open, travel with it, but then when you're out in a coffee shop or something, you have all these ports you can connect into. So, if you want to go ahead and put in like an SD card, some of your S, you know, SSDs into here, you can get it.
Now, what kind of ports does it have? Well, let's talk about it. Okay, so right over here, it's got an HDMI port. It's got two USBAs at 5 gigabit per second. It's got the SD and TF TF card readers. Now, that's great again for just plugging in an SD card. You also got a USBC 5 gigabit per second. Then you have a PD power port. It can charge, I believe, up to 100 watts. I think on MacBooks it's a little bit less, but still about 90 90 watts or somewhere in there. And then finally, you got your host port over here. So you got all these ports that are connected actually to this this stand, which is amazing, right? So when you're traveling, let's say you go to a hotel room, you can go ahead and prop this up on your desk and go ahead and start using it for all of your devices depending on what you're using. Maybe you're using a MacBook first and then an iPad later. Just take this with you. It even comes with a great carrying case and a cable right over here. So it comes with a carrying case and a cable. Anyways, I totally recommend this product for what it is, right? It's innovative and again, for the cost, you can't go wrong. Check them out. I'll have links in the video description. Now, we got some Mac sales and some tech sales right over here. First one over here is kind of a good deal here. $1,249 bucks. So, what do we have? We have the M3 Air, but this is the 15-inch Air. So, it's the bigger air M3 chip, not the M4, but the M3, but it's 24 gigs of RAM and 512 GB SSD. Both upgrades and two upgrades here, you know, from this model. $1249, $450 bucks off right now from B&H. That's a really good deal, right? So, I'd recommend getting this over the M4 because you get 24 gigs and you also get, you know, upgrade on the storage as well. And it's just about the same cost as just buying the M4 altogether.
Now, we also have a whole bunch of sales right now ongoing on iPads because does that tell you something? Maybe they're coming out soon. But here we go over here. First one's the 11-in. That's going to be what is $150 bucks off right now. And it's only usually $600, you know, to begin with, but now it's $4.49. That's a great deal, right? But it's all of them. You go to Amazon, you can check them all out. This is the iPad Air 13-in, the bigger one with the M3 chip. Same thing. 128 gigs, usually about $800 bucks. It's $649 right now. Um, pretty amazing deal, right? I mean, we're getting that's 19% off just cuz it's more expensive, but still huge price breaks on this. So, we think the new ones are coming, but I would pick these up because you don't need much more than the M3. And then if you want an iPad Pro, you know, with an M4 chip, which is more than you'll ever need. Right over here, the iPad Pro 13 M4. It's got 256 right here. So, that's how much storage. This is $1099 right now. This is the 13-inch. Usually, $1300 bucks. Now, $1099. 15% off. Still though, these are all big percentages just because it's 15% off just because the cost is higher. And that's a good cost on that. And it's one of the lowest I've seen. It might have been like a maybe a percentage or two lower. But still, you can't go wrong with this. I know the new ones are incoming. This might I don't even think this will go down much more than this because Apple doesn't usually do that. So, I think this is one of the best deals you can pick up right now. And I would do it.

Okay, the next two stories here are great for iOS 26 future users here. So if you have an iPhone, you're going to be loading iOS 26. Here you go. So right over here, 9 to 5 Mac, it says iOS 26 beta adds surprise Apple Maps feature that could prove very useful. So what is this surprise feature for iOS 26 and Apple Maps? Well, let's kind of scroll down here. It's really cool. It says Apple Maps gains AI powered natural language search in iOS 26. So AI powered natural language search. What does that mean? Well, if we look down here, it says use natural language for searches like find cafes with free Wi-Fi. So now on your maps, you can say find cafes with free Wi-Fi. Before you'd have to say, search for all cafes. And then you have to look in there if they have Wi-Fi, then see if it's free. Now you can just say find cafes with all free Wi-Fi. It's only going to return the results that have cafes, number one, but with Wi-Fi, number two, and then free, number three. So, it's going to be natural language searches. All AI powered. That's kind of a surprise feature. I mean, it's you would always think it should have been in there, but it wasn't. And that's kind of cool that they're adding it now.
Okay, this next story is also a big one if you have an iPhone coming up with iOS 26. And it's a kind of a cool thing to know. Right over here, Mac rumors. iOS 26. Get a call back reminder for a mis call. So keeping track of missed calls can be challenging when you're juggling several tasks a day. So long story short, if you have an iPhone, you can get all these missed calls. Let's say you get a lot of calls. I don't, but let's say you get even a couple, right? And they come into your missed calls queue there. What you want to do here is let me just kind of go over here. So it says, you know, you open the phone app right here. Let me scroll down. Open the phone app. Tap the calls tab and then scroll down to recent. So you're going to see all your recent calls in here, right? That's where you want to get to first. Then it says, swipe left across a missed call. So you find the missed call in here. You swipe left. See the arrow here? It's going to bring up this buttons here. And what you want to do is you want to click on the blue one that looks like a little clock there. And then you're going to get a little reminder over here. Remind me in one hour. Remind me tonight. Remind me tomorrow or remind me later. Which you can set a time to remind you. But it's going to go ahead and remind you. Let's say you want to call that person back tomorrow. Let's say it's late. You saw that and it's late at 9:00 at night. You want to do it tomorrow. You don't want to forget. You come in here. You hit the blue button. Go down here to remind me tomorrow. Hit that button and then you're going to get a reminder tomorrow to call that person back. Now again, this may not be used by everyone. It may not be used by, you know, all the time, but it's a cool feature to know if you, you know, if you have a call that came in and you just don't want to forget about calling that person back. Maybe it's in a couple weeks. Maybe it's a a person for your car or something and you want to call them back on Tuesday. Go ahead and set it up in here. They'll remind you and then there you go.
Okay. So, AirPods Pro 3, we think it's coming out within weeks. Believe it or not, within weeks. Over here, Mac rumors. AirPods Pro 3 could be just weeks away. Here's what we know so far. Now, the important thing to know here is we've talked about all the stuff before, but as we get closer, especially weeks, the rumors are usually pretty good here. So, what do we think's coming on this, right? 2025 AirPods Pro. What the rumors say? First thing is going to be design and case tweaks. All right, we already know that it's going to be a little bit slightly different design and the case might look a little bit different with some additional features, but don't worry about that. We don't know exactly what that's going to be. The second thing also, audio processor and ANC upgrades. We know it's going to have a new audio processor in there, the newest and greatest, and some other upgrades with being able to listen on or and remove sounds and stuff like that. So, the newest technology, again, those are not what we're talking about. We know that they'll always come with each iteration. Those are not the kind of the surprises. What are health sensors? Heart rate monitoring. According to Bloomberg's Mark German, Apple's developing in-ear heart rate tracking for AirPods Pro 3. So, think about that. In-ear heart rate tracking. So if you want to know your heart rate, you don't have your watch on, maybe you don't have the phone on you, you can go ahead and now it's going to be in through your ear supposedly. This is what they think's coming for sure. That's kind of interesting, right? That's going to be a kind of a bigger change than you'd expect. The next thing is also another big one. In-ear temperature detection. Apple's also researching ear canal temperature sensing, which if it ships could offer faster, more reliable body temperature readings than the skin temperature estimates produced by Apple Watch. So it's going to actually be closer to your head. It's going to be more accurate than that. And again, they're going to incorporate this to everything for this kind of fitness that they're kind of, you know, striving for. So that's actually all a good thing. Then over here, what does it have? It says on-device live translation. So again, one rumor, you know, that this is coming where you can actually talk to someone of a different language. It's going to do in-ear real time translation to you. So you don't even have like a really long wait. It's coming in real time. That's going to be really key there if that comes out. And then finally, it says iOS 26 feature updates, which basically means the software side of it, right? And we already talked about that quite a bit. So, it's really going to be these kind of health sensors, new audio sensors and stuff like that, and also a new design maybe in a a case tweak. So, if you like any of that stuff, you may want to wait. I think if you can pick up the other ones on a deal, most people probably won't notice that much a difference, you know, unless you need that kind of temperature sensor. But, you know, again, look for the deals. That's what I always say with Apple. Just look for the deals.

So, Apple Insider says iPhone 17 launch date may have been leaked by a German wireless carrier. See that right there? So, a new report citing internal cell phone carrier. Sources say that Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17 family on a date that's been previously rumored to host the event. So, supposedly this company leaked the event. And so, when is the iPhone 17 coming out? We're about 95% sure this date is right. So, if you want to plan around it, we'll go down here. It says, "According to German site iPhone ticker, cell phone carriers in that country have been told that the event will be on Tuesday, September 9th. Really high likely September 9th." See that right there? So anyways, save the date if you're going to buy that phone and you want to see that little event that comes out. They'll probably do event on the iPhone for sure. September 9th.
Okay. So the Apple Watch Ultra 3, it's coming out soon and I think we've narrowed down to exactly when it's coming out over here for Mac rumors. Apple Watch 3 launching this September. What to expect? So, we know it's going to be September. Says a handful of new features and changes have been rumored on the device. Again, we're closer to the launch date, so these should actually be fairly accurate. So, for all it's worth. All right. So, we have a slightly larger display, and we'll get into that in a second. We have satellite connectivity, which obviously the even the 10 version has right now, so that's not a big upgrade. 5G support. 5G support. Again, most people won't be using that. Likely a wide angled OLED display. This means a brighter when viewed, you know, brighter when viewed at an angle. This could be the biggest thing here because obviously you will look at your watch like this. You don't look at straight on. So, this could be the biggest one here. A brighter at an angle face on the watch. That's actually pretty cool. The S10 chip for faster performance. Obviously, that's okay. And then finally, blood pressure monitoring has been rumored, but it might not be ready. That would be the big key right here. If they could tackle the blood pressure, that would be a major selling point, I think, for absolutely for sure. But you can see there.
So, it says a slightly larger display, right? So, what does it actually mean? So, let's talk about, you know, how much bigger. Is it even going to matter? It won't because I'll show you, but it's going to be that angle that matters most. But what about the size? It says Apple Insider, Apple Watch Ultra 3 may get a very slightly larger display. Remember how they said a very slightly larger display? What does that mean? A leaked detail in iOS 26 beta indicates that the Apple Watch 3 Ultra could have an almost basically, this is indistinguishable, basically larger display than the Apple Ultra Watch 2. So, it's not going to be much of a change at all. Let's just kind of scroll down to where they actually tell you what the difference is. So, the image has a res. So, this is basically going to be the new one. The new one has a resolution of 422 x 514 pixels. All right. The Apple Watch 2 had a 410 x 502. So, it's going to go from 422. Well, basically, it's going to go from 410 to 422 and then 502 to 4 514. You imagine that it's almost no difference at all. It says basically if the screen remains the same physical size of 1.92 in diagonally the pixel density will grow by will grow from 335.83 pixels to basically 344. So it's going to be 3.1% bigger I guess as far as the pixel density and whatever you want to call it there. So it's going to be but I mean look at the pixel size here which is crazy. So I mean it's just something's going on here. They think they're you know maybe it's just going to be the exact same size with less of a bezel a little bit different resolution. So, if you're thinking like a major difference in size, like a much larger watch or something, it's just not going to happen. It's going to be basically indistinguishable from the other one for all it's worth. And the only thing that's going to really matter on the actual screen there is going to be better viewing angles, and that's what counts.
Okay, this next one's actually really cool for a lot of people that like to run kind of local AI models on their actual computer. Well, here we go with Apple right over here. Apple Insider says, "Run ChatGPT style AI on your Mac with OpenAI's new offline tools." That's the key. They're offline. All right. So, we're going to kind of scroll down so we can read some of this stuff, but that that's actually the key. There's going to be a couple models here that are actually very interesting. One of the two new openweight models from OpenAI can bring ChatGPT- like reasoning to your Mac with no subscription needed. So, it says OpenAI launched two new large language models with a publicly available weights. It's basically called GPTO OSS 20B and then GPTOSS 12B. These are the first openweight models that the company has since GPT2 in 2019. So we're actually getting an updated model here with this. Now it says both are released under the Apache 2.0 license which allows for free commercial use and modification. So we get all that stuff. So what's the difference in the model? So one is basically the first one with the 20 after it is a 20 billion parameter model and that they say they can actually run on your Mac up if you only have 16 gigs of RAM. So 16 gigs or higher. They say 24 is like optimal and higher, but 16 it'll actually work okay on. So that model actually works really good. The other model which has got the 120 after, it's called the GPTOSS 120B, 120 billion parameters. Let me actually see if I can find it in here. You need a lot of RAM. It says OpenAI recommends 60 to 80 gigabytes of memory for the 120 billion parameter model. So if you're running that locally, you need 60 to 80 gigabytes of RAM. But the other one which is actually they say is going to be very very good. It's going to be you know if you want to get into this download that one. I'll have links to this and stuff or just check out um Apple Insider, but they're going to basically be there. You can download them and you can run everything local with only 16 gigs of RAM and then report back how good does it run. Tell me what RAM you have and we're going to kind of piece this together ourselves and we'll maybe do another video on it.
Okay. Next we got a couple more Macs for sale. Right. So what do we got here? I think they're pretty good right over here from Amazon. This is going to be the M4 chip. So, it's a MacBook Pro with the M4 chip, 14-inch. This has got 16 gigs of RAM and a one TB SSD. So, obviously it's a pretty big storage upgrade for $14.99 right here. So, usually $17.99. Now, it's $14.99. So, $300 off on that. And you can see that now it's only the M4 chip standard, but you do get the one TB storage if you're looking for a storage upgrade. So, that's a really good price there. I thought that was pretty good.
Now, if you're more of a power user, I think we got a good deal here. This is going to be the M4 Max MAX chip. So, that's the Max chip. Pretty crazy. 14 core CPU, 32 core GPU, 16-inch here. We got that. 36 gigs of RAM, 1 TB SSD, also big upgrades. $379. So, is that a good deal? Well, yeah. It's $400, I think. Is usually $3500. So, it's like $419 bucks off or something like that. Somewhere in that range, but 12% off, but still, that's over $400 off that deal. So, if you're looking for, you know, if that's the one you were going to pull the trigger on or you want a higher, you know, you want the max version, you might as well save the $400 bucks and pick this up right now. $3,79 bucks on Amazon and I'll have linked to it.
Okay, believe it or not, this next one I always get in some arguments with people about tariffs. A lot of people are saying tariffs are going to raise costs, but so far the the cost of everything's been going down, right? Straight down, not up. That's one thing. iPhones is the next thing. People say they're going to get way more expensive, double the cost. Well, I don't think they are. Right over here, Mac rumors says Apple won't be impacted by India tariff increase. So, we know all the iPhones are now being made or at least ship. They're coming out of India pretty much. Apple's been doing this for a while. says basically, you know, and now he's increasing the tariffs up to 50% because of this whole Russian war, the whole whole thing, right? But currently Apple was, you know, they had a 25% tariff and then it went to 50%. Let's go down here, though. It's kind of interesting because it looks like they're not going to be affected any bit. And I even in the least right here. So says semiconductors and derivative products like iPhones are already exempt from the existing 25% tariffs that are in place according to CNBC. So, and an executive order basically doubles this, all right, which you know, but Apple is already unaffected by the 25% tariffs and it says it will not be uh at all uh you know affected by the new one as well because it it falls under this kind of you know since they're starting to move some stuff into the United States they're lately they've been doing a whole bunch like up to 600 billion of stuff in the United States they're getting exempt from it so they don't have to pay any of this stuff and it's been proven in here. So overall, it even says that even TSMC, I've been reading on here, since they're moving some plants to Arizona, they're not having to pay the tariffs either. Um, and that's not India obviously, but that's, you know, the tariffs that are coming from from Taiwan. So, long story short, I don't think a lot of these products from Apple, at least from Apple, are going to be affected as much obviously than people think. Now, this could go up a little bit in cost on the iPhones, and we're going to get into that in a little in a couple seconds here. But overall, it's not going to be because of tariffs. It's going to be because of feature set, not because of tariffs, but because of new features.
Okay? Okay, like we just mentioned. So, the iPhone might be going up $50. Well, why is it doing that? Is it going to be tariffs? Over here, Mac rumors says, "Will iPhone 17 Pro start at 256 gigabyte storage. The iPhone 17 Pro would start with 256 gigs of storage as part of a $50 price increase across the lineup this year." This is what just basically a leaker said, so we got to take this obviously as a rumor. In a new post, a leaker known as Instant Digital, he basically said September 9th with a $50 price tag across the board in all of them. But he says that basically, you know, the the 128 gig models are going to be kind of going away and it's going to go up to 256 gigs of storage. He's thinking this might be the reason for the $50 increase. Now, I don't particularly like that Apple would make you do that and then just charge you the $50 if that's what they're doing, but at the end of the day, $50 for storage from Apple is not a bad deal either. So, I'm kind of torn there. But overall, let's see what happens because it's a rumor. I just wanted to report on it. But, I think that's what's going to happen. So, if there is a little bit of an increase on price, I think it's going to come with some features like that, like storage or we already know that it's going to go up in RAM as well, but I think it's going to be the storage, but we'll have to see.
Okay, so in the world every year, there's only about five or six different news stories that rivet the entire world. They're so important that everyone comes together. And uh I think we have one here. No, here we go. Macintosh HD gets new look in its latest Mac OS Tahoe beta. So, Apple has been updating some classic Mac icons during the Mac OS Tahoe beta, upsetting some longtime Mac users who prefer the original look. So, here you go. If you have that little uh drive, like your little hard drive here, icon, it's on your desktop on your Mac OS. You're going to go over here. It's going to look like this now. And this is what's coming out on the Tahoe beta. And they completely changed it. Now, the funny thing here is Apple changed this to a couple other things and they, you know, some people complained and they actually changed it back. We'll see if it happens with this. They're trying to innovate here, trying to get a little bit newer, but people are so used to the old ones, it causes a big stir. So, I guess I had to break this because it's so important out there in the world of news. You know, I'm kidding, right? Anyways, sometimes people want to know.
Okay, I have another conspiracy theory here. You got to I got two of them in this episode, so you got to hear me out. All right, most of these, you know, robberies and everything that's happening in the world with electronics and stuff, it's all on the in they're all inside jobs, right? And here's another great example of this, but it's just kind of a funny story and although it's sad at the same time, but tell me if you who in the world, how would this ever happen? And hopefully the government or whoever the police can catch this guy because if they can't, um, I could do it for them. All right, here we go. Apple insider. It says 15 million truckload of Apple and AMD products stolen in Nevada. All right. And there were iPads and some AMD stuff worth a total of $15 million in a in a truck, truck bed or whatever you want to call it, you know, that travels across the country. They put that much money into one truck. That's the first mistake, right? All right. So, it says down here, a CA's logistics trailer was parked and left unattended in an unsecured lot, which led to the theft of the trailer and basically alleged $15 million in Apple and AMD merchandise. You can see it right here. So, let me kind of scroll down because obviously you could say, well, this could possibly happen. Maybe the guy was sleeping in the hotel or something. But hold on one second. Right over here it says right here, "The tipster shared that the SVA logistics trailer had been dispatched from Sacramento, California to Sierra Air Freight Express in Reno, Nevada. The trailer was left at basically in a lot after hours where there were no guards or fencing. Detached from the trailer." So, they detached it from the trailer. The suspect that stole the trailer drove a tractor into the lot, hooked up the trailer, and drove it off. $15 million. So, here we go. We know who did it, right? Someone on the inside did it. either the truck drivers in on it because he did all these different steps. I mean, how hard is it to catch these people? It's just interesting that this stuff continues to happen and people continue to think they can get away with it. I mean, who in the right mind would do that with $15 million of merchandise and then leave it un, you know, unattended with no cameras around. You know how hard that is. They said there was no cameras in the area either. So, hopefully this one gets solved, but it's just kind of one of those things where it's my theory where all these companies are working together and maybe not Apple obviously, but some of the big companies here are doing this on purpose where they're maybe leaving that stuff out there. Someone steals it and then they basically get a kickback on it. And I'm telling you, that's how the world goes around.
Okay, this next one might be a little concerning if you like the way your Apple camera works right now. Hold on. Right here. Mac rumors. Apple to switch to advanced US-made iPhone camera sensors. Apple will partner with Samsung to produce next generation image sensor chips for upcoming iPhone models in the facility in Texas, marking a major departure from its exclusive reliance on Sony. So, they're going to be changing from Sony sensors to Samsung sensors here. And it's kind of like I said, if you love I mean the Sony's done such a good job with them. Says here, Apple's also working with Samsung on its FAB in Austin, Texas to launch an innovative new technology for making chips as well, which has never been used before anywhere in the world. By bringing this technology to the US, this facility will supply chips that optimize power and performance with Apple products. So, Apple's not only working with them on what did we talk about the MacBook Pro screens earlier, also obviously these new chips here as well. And then finally the sensors for the camera. But the biggest thing that I have for the concern here is isn't Samsung with the Galaxy phone they're direct competition. So what happens if there's like a little glitch in one of those things on all the iPhones or if there's a little glitch on all of the MacBooks, more of the iPhones because they, you know, Samsung got they have the Galaxy line which is the direct competition. Would you want that company, you know, really kind of, you know, leading the way here? I mean, that's obviously the question we have to ask. Now, maybe there's so much money in this that Samsung won't do a bad job. Obviously, they'll they'll make sure it's perfect because they're making so much money, but just I don't know. I think diversifying with Sony and stuff is a better idea. You guys tell me in the comments.
Okay, for this next one, I'm always thinking like, didn't this already exist? But then you find out it didn't. It kind of makes you scratch your head over here. CarPlay and iOS 26 has a new improved solution for phone calls. So, here we go. This is iOS 26 CarPlay here. So, what's this new solution that we never had before, which you'd always think was there originally? Well, it wasn't. So, all they're saying is like when someone makes a call to you, there's going to be a little bubble down here. They call a miniaturized bubble and you can actually hang up the phone or actually take the call. Before it would fill up the whole screen and if you had your navigation on, it would block your navigation. So, let's say you're trying to get off on somewhere and all of a sudden the call comes in. You're scrambling to figure out what's going on. You hit all the buttons and hang up on the person. Well, now you can take your time, look at the exit, click the button, and get off. So, that was a little change that I never realized wasn't there, but it's kind of interesting that it's coming. this little thing down here instead of being the whole screen there. Pretty cool.
Okay, so we know Apple's a little bit behind in Apple intelligence and we've talked about them losing key people lately over the last couple weeks. But there's something even more concerning here. Mac Rumors says Apple's real AI crisis isn't Siri, but the talent it's losing to its rivals. And we know that a lot of them have been going to Meta for a lot of money. Apple's hemorrhaged around a dozen artificial intelligence staff. All right, so why is this different than before? I mean, it just said a dozen. I talked about this before. I thought there was four of them and they were getting, you know, moved away. There's a dozen of them. Here are some key departures from Apple's AI team. Look at all these people here. So, I only talked about four of these. Now, there's all these people going. Says, basically, several of the individuals have left were contributors to the research papers of AI models that Apple released. Apple's core foundation models team is made up of only 50 to 60 people and they've lost 12 of them. Think about that for a second. That's pretty, you know, pretty crazy if you actually start thinking about it. Um, and then even more crazy, take a look at this. It says there are only about a thousand maybe 2,000 people in the world that have real foundational model experience on what it takes to develop and deploy foundational models. So there's only a thousand people they think that can actually do this in the entire world for throughout all the companies in the world. Apple has you know whatever 50 or 60 and they lost 10 of them. So that's a big deal I guess. No I was I still don't think they're worth $200 million but still only a thousand people that can do this in the world. Think about that for a second and then they're losing what is that 20% of their workforce here. That's why they're behind. They got to just buy somebody. Like we always say, competition is the best thing for Apple no matter what. When they came up with the Snapdragon chips, we got more RAM. All this stuff's happening. But here's another one that's going to be good news. Mac rumors. Apple's still developing its cell MacBook with Microsoft ships Surface 5G. Recent reports have suggested that Apple's actively considering bringing the cellular connectivity to the Mac lineup as early as next year, but rival Microsoft isn't waiting around. So, this is the new what they call the 5G enabled Surface laptop that's coming out this month. You can see it here. This is going to have a, you know, you can actually put in a cell card, get cell connectivity, and that's going to be on the Surface right now. So, just in perfect timing. We Apple's kind of like always dabbling. Should we do it? Should we do They're going to do it now. I guarantee it next year, you mark my words, because of this, they have to do it. That's always good competition.
Okay. A lot of people keep asking me, is the Apple TV coming out this year? Well, we got another rumor that it is. Right over here says new Apple TV still launching this year. Apple is still on track to release the new Apple TV model later this year. According to reliable source speaking to Mac rumors, whoever that source is, we do not know. But it says the new model is expected to feature a newer chip, support for Wi-Fi 7, and an Apple designed Bluetooth and Apple Wi-Fi chip for the first time, allowing Apple smart home devices to work better together and synchronize data faster. It's also going to be cheaper. They say about $10 or $20 bucks cheaper, which is huge. So, I think this is going to be again September, October, November time frame. We don't know exactly when. We don't I don't think it'll come out with the iPhones, but long story short, it's going to come out for sure. We have good information on it. So, just wait a few more months if you're waiting for it and you'll have it.
Okay, this next story is going to be Apple patents. We talk about this from time to time. There's uh, you know, the Vision Pro. Let's talk about that, right? The Vision Pro can kind of read your hands now. Obviously, it can kind of look at your eyes and stuff like that, but they're going to be adding a new thing to based off this, you know, patent here. It's not going to be right away, but I think it's going to be in the near future. Apple Insider, it says, "Future Apple Vision Pro could take commands just by reading your lips." So, basically, it'll be on your head. It'll have cameras pointing down. Somehow, it's going to be able to read your lips. So, you'll be able to tell it instead of hand gestures. If you want to be like this, maybe you're somewhere you don't want to be doing that, like at a coffee shop. You can just kind of mouth something. You'll still look crazy, right? People will think you're crazy, but you can still do that. And it's going to be able to read your lips. I think it's more for people that maybe lost motion in their hands. I think that's what it's for. It's all good, right? But at the end of the day, we want this thing going down in cost. We don't want it going up in cost. So, if this raises the cost, it's no good. Um, but again, if it's going to be like a very specialized thing for people that need it, that's good. But if it's going to be for the masses, we don't need all this crap. Just get the cost down.
Okay. If you like cheap stuff, that's okay. I like it, too. All right. But streaming services keep getting more expensive. Roku said we're going to get one that's bottom, you know, super super cheap for people that are cheap, and a lot of people are going to use it. Is that going to be true? Well, we'll find out over here. Apple Insider. Roku's new Howdy. That's funny. Streaming service offers ad-free streaming for $2.99. Look at the little Howdy. I like the little uh icon here. It's just red with a yellow lettering. Not even like a a logo or something. It's kind of funny. All right, so what are we going to get here? Let me just see down here. It says Howdy offers ad-free streaming with unlimited access to nearly 10,000 hours of content. I don't know if that's a lot or not. The catalog includes titles from Lionsgate, Warner Brothers, Discovery, Film Rise, and select Roku originals. That'll actually be good if they start producing their own content. Maybe we'll get some good shows there. Subscribers can watch films like Mad Max Fury Road, The Blind Side, the series such as Weeds, and The Kids in the Hall. And you can also get including romcoms, medical dramas, and 90s sitcoms. So, that's all good and dandy for $2.99. But is it any different than their live TV? If you ever go to Ruko, you get free like the live TV like Pluto TV. It's not live, I guess. It's recorded TV channels, but there's hundreds of them for free. So, is this going to be any different? I mean, that's the question because you can I mean, maybe just don't have ads on them or something. I don't know what the difference is going to be. We'll have to check that out. But I think it'll be, you know, this is what I want to see. More competition to get the price down. But, you know, if this gets probably popular, then, you know, Roku will probably raise the price on it just like everything else. And it'll be $9.95 after after it's all said and done. So, we'll have to wait and see.
