Internal divisions within the Tablighi Jamaat have taken the form of conflict, resulting in tragic incidents such as loss of life, which threaten the overall stability, peace, and order of the country. This situation is not only harming the Tablighi Jamaat but also questioning the unity and harmony of the larger Muslim society.
We are closely monitoring the conflicting factions within the Tablighi Jamaat. One side is suffering from extreme discrimination, so today we want to portray that discrimination to the countrymen through you and call for a joint establishment of a solution.
Images of discrimination include discrimination in the arrival of a chief scholar. The chief scholars of Surah Nizam can come from India and Pakistan without any hindrance, but the mainstream Tablighi Maulana, who follows the world-famous Nizamuddin, the supreme leader of Saad Sahib's followers, World Ameer Maulana Saad Sahib, has faced repeated obstacles and is still unable to come to the two Kaktail mosques.
The Kaktail mosque, which is one of the main centers of Tablighi Jamaat, is located in the Tablighi Bishwa Markaz Nizamuddin. The followers of the mainstream Tablighi Maulana Saeed Sahib used to use 14 days to conduct their activities, while the followers of Surah Nizam Maulana Zubair Sahib used 28 days. In this way, one side used Kakrail Mosque for 14 days and the other side for 28 days, which is clearly discrimination.
Currently, one side is in control of the Kakrail Mosque after the victory, which results in extreme levels of discrimination.
Discrimination also exists in the control of the Tongi Ijtema ground. The Tongi ground, which is the center of the world Ijtema, is under the control of Surah Nizam for most of the year. The mainstream Tablighi Jamaat of Nizamuddin can only use the ground for a limited number of days during the Ijtema.
There is discrimination in the allocation of Ijtema time. In the past years, Surah Nizam has been in the first phase. Followers of the World Markaz Nizamuddin have been organizing Ijtema repeatedly. The second phase has seen the obstacles and discrimination of the five mosque-centric era.
The World Markaz Nizamuddin mainstream Tablighi activists have faced various obstacles when they go to the mosque to perform their prayers. Their presence in the mosques is hindered by Surah Nizam in conducting da'wah activities and conducting prayers. Such behavior is against the basic philosophy of Tablighi and is creating a crisis in da'wah activities.
Discrimination in organizing five, six, five days is being forced. Surah Nizam Tungi Maidan has five days being successfully organized, but the mainstream Tablighi workers of the World Markaz Nizamuddin have been completely deprived of this opportunity.
Therefore, the concerned authorities must play a leading role in eliminating this discrimination. Recently, the government has taken some important initiatives. We applaud these initiatives, but these initiatives are not enough to completely eliminate discrimination.
We want this anti-discrimination government to be an initiative for a fair and just permanent solution between both sides of the Tablighi Jamaat crisis. Therefore, on behalf of the conscious student community, we are presenting the following three proposals for a fair and just permanent solution:
First, both sides should take their respective activities with their highest leaders, namely: Kakrail Mosque is for both parties to ensure that they can conduct prayers and other rituals.
Ensuring equality during Tablighi Jamaat by both sides in Tongi Maidan and every mosque in the country, preventing both sides from any provocative statements and activities against each other in the interest of maintaining communal harmony and order in the three countries, and conducting a judicial and impartial investigation into all the unwanted killings that occurred from 2018 to 2024.
If no visible action is taken in light of the above proposal by January 20, 2025, we will be forced to vigorously observe the sit-in program in front of the residence of the Chief Advisor, which was suspended on December 18, 2024, with the conscious student community and conscious citizens of the country.
