Guess if you were a betting woman, US homeland attack, what do you think it'll look like?
So, I don't need to guess. So, we've been collecting on it. So, um, there's phases. Okay. So, there's um a phase that's kind of like where you live, work, and play. And this is kind of like Paris 2015, um, or Mumbai, you know, um, what 2008, 2009. So this is where um it's going to be mostly ISIS is going to be doing a lot of this, but it's just in mid-tier cities and towns, and they're going to hit multiple targets at the same time, almost like he was going to do in New Orleans, but mess it up, because remember that was supposed to have bombs, a vehicle ramming, and then he was going to use obviously his weapon—should think of, you know, multimodal.
Then, after a series of those, there's going to be, as al-Qaeda has planned anyway, hopefully we thwart it, um, another 9/11. This 9/11, from what we know, is targeting um three times more airlines than the first one. Um, and then most of the targets are um DC institutions um, you know, based in that area, and they're mostly law enforcement, intelligence, and military targets.
When you guys are looking at this, you know, the it seems—and again it's—I haven't really looked at the 9/11 commission or book, which, by the way, is not a page-turner. That is a tough read, but there's great information.
A lot of failure.
Yeah. Well, and I'm trying to remember too, they entered into the country already knowing when and where, right? So, they weren't communicating while they were in. Is that what you estimate is happening, or is there going to be a level of communication?
So, the live, play, and work—do you think the dates are already scheduled? Is this requiring coordination? And as it escalates, do you think that there are triggers, or they already have, you know, to use a shitty metaphor, a date circled on a calendar?
Yeah. Well, we do think there was some communication between the 9/11 attackers, and there were dry runs, right? So, they did have some roles, and then some obviously weren't training together. Now, for the next round, at least from what we know for those live, work, and play ones, they generally know at least the state it's being in. I don't know if they know the the city and the date, but they're going to be giving it last minute. But what's different is they have the freedom of choice, like they did in Mumbai for that attack.
So, let's say you're, I don't know, you're attacking the metro in Arlington, Virginia, okay? And you go down there and it's kind of dead, but before you went down, there's a huge street festival, um, you know, going on. So, you could say, well, it was a better target upstairs. I'm going to go upstairs and do it. Like, that's a very strange thing that they have this freedom of movement, right? So, so the terrorists can make last-minute choices. Um, you know, we saw this actually in Orlando with Omar Mateen, right? He and his wife surveilled the Downtown Disney um area, and then he went back to do the attack there, decided there's too much Disney security, pivoted to a second, and the third place they picked was Pulse nightclub. So, they actually see the success in doing that.
Yeah. Let the attacker on the ground make the decision so he can have a maximum effect.
Now, uh, we think the 9/11 2.0, I know as we call it, is a little more structured, obviously, especially when you're talking airline threats, right? You got to get on the right place, through the right security line, on the right plane, and do all that without getting, you know, your your suicide vest started, right? So we do think that one's a lot more structured. Um, but again, there's so little collection on what's coming. Um, you know, I think we're very unprepared for what they're planning.
I find it interesting they go after airplanes again. I think uh—I mean, at this point it's like you hijack an airplane, good luck not having 180 people rush you, regardless of what the outcome is going to be, because they've seen the writing on the different. So so what they decided.
So this is actually um in honor of a plot that was failed. It's a 30-year anniversary. It's called Bojinka. So Bojinka, it had multiple pieces to the plot. One was to kill the pope, one was to put an airplane into the CIA, and then one was to down 11 airliners, Transpacific. Okay. It ended up getting thwarted just two weeks before because Ramzi Yousef was there and had like a chemical fire in his apartment. So, they got lucky.
Well, Jesus.
Yeah. Fake happens. I'm hoping this happens again. So the bomb maker for that plot was released from house arrest in late 2021, and he went back to Afghanistan in 2022. He made the bombs for this uh airline plot. So that was his biggest failure. Bojinka, it's the 30-year anniversary. So, we think they're just going to recreate Bojinka, and finally bring it to a success and finally bring the invisible bomb, which they failed with the underwear bomber, to a success.
So, you think it would actually—Do you think they'd put it on a person or you think it'd be something in luggage?
It's suicide vests? Not a fan of those at all. Right. Cuz because you're not going to know, you know, it's not like an attacker is going to the cockpit. He'll just um, you know, blow up in his seat.

Yeah, I was going to say you wouldn't need to, especially if you. Yeah. You could detonate that and have all the impact that you would want to.
Yeah. Uh, if you were queen for. That's three to four thousand people, you know.
Yeah, for sure.
If I could put you into a place where you're queen for a day, I guess two questions. One, do you think at this point the US is truly capable of stopping this? And if you do, and you were in that role of being queen for—I'll give you a week actually. I think like a day is probably like not enough. Little bit of a a heady task. What would you do to get in front of this?
So, um, I'm an American and positive, and I know we're a country of heroes. So, I do think we can stop it or thwart it or end them real time, right? Because that's what Americans do. And we have the best trained people in this country. People have been at war for 20 years, right? They know what they're doing. Now, if I was queen for a day, obviously I'd start bombing Afghanistan immediately. And then I would do what they're doing with the drug cartels to every single person who's come into this country from in the last four years from Afghanistan, from Syria, from Saudi Arabia, from Libya, um, from Egypt, and they'd all get enhanced vetting or they'd be kicked out of the country if they couldn't give me a—I couldn't get a proper background on them, and I wouldn't take any risks on it.
Yeah, man. Even doing that, it's uh—come to find out a lot of people immigrate to the country and they don't put the most accurate information down on their paperwork, and they just vaporize into society and they have fake passports, and it's a nightmare. But we don't treat that like the Afghanistan passport is made by Sirajuddin Haqqani, a terrorist. We don't treat it as a compromised passport, which is the most insane thing I ever heard. At least like at a national level, we don't.
Nope. So during the last Trump administration, at least somebody got wise and they were making Libyan passports for the terrorists. So he put them on like the ban list. So at least someone knew, hey, these passports are compromised, but we are not treating the Afghanistan passport as compromised. Meanwhile, in like three weeks, I have to have a real ID or I can't get on a airplane.
Yep. Exactly. But they can have an ID made by the terrorist and be just fine on that airplane next to you. I'm I'm going to be honest with you. I'm really hoping that they just push that even farther because the the next real ID appointment here in Montana is like six months from now.
Now, I have my passport, really, which. Yeah. Which I'm assuming is, you know, issued by the government, so likely not made by a terrorist organization, so I'm going to be able to fly, but I'm really hoping it goes the same way it did for the last eight years. Let's just like kick that rock down the road just a little bit here. Like they do a daylight savings, right? It's like come on, just approve it already.
