SORA Will Be HUGE — How I Became a Top Creator

Today I'm going to break down step by step how I became one of the largest creators on Sora and started making money, and you can too. Sora's only been out for a month, and creators are already racing to become the next big thing on the app. This is legitimately the only full blueprint on the internet on how to grow and monetize on Sora.

In that short time, I've grown my main account to over 30,000 followers, for perspective, which puts it at the 17th largest account on Sora. And I built a second page called the Sora House, which is a concept of an AI content house, to over 20,000 followers. Top of that, last week I was featured in the New York Post as one of the rising creators on Sora. So when I say you won't find a video like this anywhere else online, I mean it.

And after a month of experimenting, here are five steps that you need to take so that you can grow on Sora: Branding, content style, growth strategies, collaborations, and my final piece of advice to tie it all together and help you monetize. Stick around for the end because if you miss it, none of this is going to make sense.

Before I get into the blueprint, I need you to understand why Sora is important right now, and growing a presence on there is one of the smartest moves you can do as a creator. So is OpenAI's new video generation social media app. Everything happens inside of the platform. You make AI videos, you post them, and you interact with other people's videos, kind of like in a TikTok style feed.

But here's the important part. OpenAI is valued at over $500 billion, and they're burning through cash right now. OpenAI wants to bring advertising into their ecosystem and push it towards profitability. And the most logical place to put those ads? Sora. OpenAI already has more user data than any other tech company in the world, thanks to ChatGPT. That means two things: Sora will become a gold mine for OpenAI. And if you position yourself correctly, Sora is going to become a gold mine for you, too. And the best part is, I'm telling you, it's very easy to become a big Sora creator right now.

All right, that's enough backstory. Let's talk about how you could set yourself up to make money on Sora.

First, we're going to talk about branding. All right, branding on Sora is the number one place that creators mess up, and they don't even realize it. Most people lose before they've even posted a video. Here's the reality: Sora right now is flooded with something people call AI slop. Don't be that guy that puts out low-effort random clips just to see what the model is generating. There's nothing wrong with experimenting, but if your brand looks like slop, you're done.

Right now, about 90% of the content on Sora is memes. Some creators do it extremely well, and memes will always have their place, just like how early TikTok was all dancing and early YouTube was all cat videos. But if you want to build a real audience on Sora, you need to be recognizable. And the easiest way to do that is simple: Brand yourself as a real human being or a character, not a random AI prompt machine.

Your profile picture needs to feel like a real person. And your bio needs to make it instantly obvious what your viewers are going to expect of you. Your posts need to show your identity. Even though it's AI, people still follow people. They follow a personality and a storyline. That's why I positioned myself on the app to be uniquely myself. I wanted my brand to be high energy, and I wanted my brand to show that I'm somebody who loves to work out and travel.

And the best part is, the bar is insanely low right now. If you join Sora today and start posting, you don't have to be perfect. You just have to be intentional. You have to ask yourself one big question: What do you want the audience to feel when they land on your page? Is it cinematic? Is it storytelling? Is it comedy? Or you could even make a fictional universe. But whatever it is, it has to be your personality amplified by AI. Branding is the difference from being a forgettable AI account to being something that people actually want to see on their for you page every day.

So, now let's get into the part that everybody struggles with, and it's how to create a content style on Sora that actually stands out. This part's important because it's going to make or break whether or not you succeed on Sora. One of the best parts about Sora is that you don't have to use your own face if you don't want to. You can build an entire brand around a character that you created. But no matter what you decide to create, you need a content style that cuts through the noise on the for you page.

Right now, Sora's for you page is chaotic. It's like TikTok on steroids. It's fast. It's overwhelming. And if your content style isn't immediately recognizable, your content's going to disappear on the for you page. I'm going to show you exactly what I did and my content style that took me from zero followers to one of the biggest creators on the app. And I'm even going to give away a couple of my prompts.

When I joined Sora, I hit the ground running. Like I said earlier, your brand should be built around you. For my friends and family, they all kind of know me as the adventurous one. I'm always traveling, doing insane stuff, pushing the line. So, I wanted my brand on Sora to reflect that. And that's why my content uses my likeness in every single video. If you look at my page, I'm basically pretending to be a tour guide who gets involved in the most ridiculous situations possible. I'm skydiving, riding on rockets, I'm going back in time, but all of it is situations that almost could be real. And I make all of this content like I'm vlogging. I'm holding the camera. I'm talking naturally. And I'm doing it in a familiar and very human way.

And it works because it's memorable and recognizable on the for you page. And when people scroll on the leaderboard, my content kind of sticks out. Like I said earlier, people follow people. And this type of content is human. Even though it's AI, it creates a relationship and people begin to feel like they know me. And that's the secret with AI content: Even though it's AI, you can still humanize it. And humanizing content accelerates repeat exposure on Sora. This is how followers are earned. Most people do not follow on the first video. They follow after seeing you two or three times. But if you're here, you should probably subscribe because I'm dropping gold right now. And if your face or your character shows up after the second or the third video, they'll likely remember you if you have a definitive content style. Recognition leads to connection, and connections lead to more followers.

And the prompts I used to build this content style are actually really simple. Check this out. This is a video that hit over 400,000 views on Sora, and it was literally just a few lines. Nothing complicated, because sometimes simple is better, especially when you're using language to make video.

And I'm not the only one doing this on the app. Aaron, another creator featured in the article, she does something similar. When you scroll through her page, you can immediately tell when a video is hers. She has her own style and visual identity. You don't need to copy exactly what I'm doing. If you want to, you can. But this approach, being human and recognizable, is one of the best ways that will help you build a content style that will survive on Sora long term.

Before you create your first set of videos, there's one thing you need to understand. And this might be one of the most important things in the whole video. This is how Sora's algorithm actually works. And if you don't understand this, nothing else matters. And this is cameoing and remixing. Just like TikTok likes will get you pushed harder in the algorithm, but Sora has a feature that makes your videos explode way faster than TikTok could ever.

When you post on Sora, users can remix it. This lets them create their own interpretation of what should have happened next or what they think should have been in the video. Check out this video. I have over a thousand remixes of what people think should have happened. This is where your content style becomes absolutely crucial. You need to make videos that subtly inspire people to remix them. You don't ask for remixes on Sora. Instead, you need to plant little creative seeds that make your viewers think, "I can make this way crazier," or "I want to put myself inside of this moment."

For example, here's a video of me skiing, and all I did was add a polar bear chasing behind me. It wasn't anything complicated. It was just one unexpected twist. And that single decision led to hundreds of remixes. People replaced the polar bear with dinosaurs, aliens, or even just put themselves inside of the shot. Same thing with this video of me on Mars. The moment you give your audience an open door to imagine something, they will take it.

But here's the real power behind this. Every time somebody remixes your video, the original video gets pushed back onto the for you page. Your content multiplies without you even lifting a finger. One idea becomes hundreds of entry points back into your profile. This is why developing a recognizable content style matters so much. People don't remix your concept, they remix you, your likeness, your world, your identity. If your style is strong, remixable, and consistent, your audience starts doing half the growth for you. And this is the driving factor that'll make you go viral on Sora's algorithm.

All right, now that you understand branding and your content style, we need to talk about another part that everybody is getting wrong. How do you actually grow on Sora? And more importantly, how does the algorithm decide who wins? People act like Sora is very unpredictable, but I see a clear pattern on how it works. Right now, Sora rewards three things more than anything else: Retention, remixability, and identity.

Retention. The first two seconds of a Sora video are everything. People scroll fast, way faster than TikTok, because the content on Sora is so visually stimulating. If you do not hook somebody instantly, you're done. I'm not talking about an audible hook. Here's what I do that works every time: You should open with motion. Your first frame should be moving. You need to put your subject, your character, in the frame immediately. You need to give the viewer a question before they even start watching. Remember, it's Sora. Your video doesn't have to explain itself. It needs to make people curious enough to keep watching. Retention keeps you on the for you page, but retention alone will not make you viral.

Here's where the next signal comes in: Remixability. Sora is the only social media platform where your content will multiply for you. Every remix video pushes your original video back onto the feed. It drives curiosity to see what the original remixed video was, and it creates a chain reaction of more remixes. This brings new viewers directly to your page. Here's the catch: The algorithm boosts remixed videos because it signals your content has creative value, not just entertainment value. This means your content style needs built-in remix potential. Because unlike any other social media platform, remixability is tied to your identity as a creator. If your videos don't spark imagination, they won't be remixed. And if your videos aren't getting remixed, they won't go viral. It's as simple as that.

All right. And finally, identity. The algorithm loves familiarity. When you start using your face or your character, the Sora algorithm treats you like a real creator. Your audience is going to recognize it instantly. Identity does three things: It raises your follow rate. People follow what they can recognize. It increases your returning viewer score, and it stabilizes your growth. You're not depending on one viral hit to grow an audience. You're building an entire persona, and you kind of become a magnet.

Here's the biggest secret with growth on Sora, and you're going to have to understand this. A lot of people are doing this completely wrong. Just because you get 30 uploads a day does not mean you should post 30 times. Stick to two to five high-quality generations a day and post those. Make sure your content is spaced out. I promise the algorithm is going to favor this a lot more than content spam. I've missed a few days of posting and I've still woken up to a few thousand new followers because users are still remixing my videos.

And lastly, and one of the most important parts of growth, is you can't wait for the algorithm to start showing love for you. You need to start interacting with creators in a similar niche on Sora and build a community of people that will interact back with your content. If you're consistently commenting on your favorite small creators' posts, I assure you they're going to start showing love back, and Sora is going to begin pushing you harder in the algorithm.

All right, this leads me to collaborations. And a lot of creators don't understand how to approach collaborations. Before I explain collaborations and why most people on Sora are doing them wrong, you need to understand one fundamental concept of why Sora is so different than any other social media platform. On traditional social media platforms, the ecosystem is very simple. About 10% of the users actually create content, and the other 90% of users are what's considered lurkers. This imbalance is the reason why people go viral on social media because the audience always massively outweighs the number of creators pushing content on the internet.

But with Sora, that ratio is completely flipped. Sora's whole pitch is that anyone can create amazing content with nothing but a text prompt. This completely lowers the barrier to entry to making good content on social media. So that 90/10 split on Sora looks more like 50/50. Half of the users on Sora are viewers, and the other half are creators. And because everybody has access to create good content, you're now competing against everybody who woke up in the morning and decided to create something that they wanted. That's exactly why having a clear brand style isn't optional, but it's survival on Sora. Your videos need to stand out because you're also competing against people that have no intention of going viral and they're just creating content for fun.

Now, here's where I'm getting with this. A collaboration on TikTok with somebody like Jake Paul only works because it has scarcity. Not everybody can make a video with Jake Paul. So, the wow factor hits immediately. On Sora, that scarcity disappears. Everybody on Sora can cameo Jake Paul. So that wow factor completely evaporates. Celebrity cameos become background noise. And when you first join Sora, that is exactly what everybody does. They think celebrity cameos is a secret access to virality, but in reality, it just makes your content blend in even more.

This is where strategy actually matters. If you want to use cameos, use them with purpose. Collaborate with other creators in your same niche. Find people whose audience overlaps with yours. Cameo with people who will actually benefit from this because their traffic is going to drive back to yours. Take this video I made with my buddy Max.

"All right, new project update. We're on Easter Island hauling this 20-ton boulder. Tell them what we're doing."

"Pulling a prank on the earth."

"Yeah, we're going to drop a random circle of these stones right here called Stonehenge, and no one will ever know how we did it."

We both create content in the same style. So, this cameo felt natural. It didn't feel forced. It felt more like an extension of our brands. Here's the point that nobody realizes on Sora: The value of the collaboration isn't the person that you're cameoing. It's the remixability of the scenario that you create together. If the collaboration doesn't spark reinterpretation or make people want to remix the video, you're cooked. It's not helping you.

Every single post on Sora needs to be intentional and serve a bigger picture. How does this post build my brand in the strongest way? How does this post differentiate me from all the casual creators on the app? Because on Sora, you need to be original, and that's what's going to set you apart. But that's the opportunity is that nobody else is doing it right now. So, you have a chance to be an early adopter on a brand new social media platform.

And here's my final pillar that ties all of this together: Opportunity. Here's the part that nobody's talking about. There is actual opportunity on Sora, and nobody has realized it yet. You are early. If you're watching this video, you're early. Ridiculously early. Sora has been public for barely a month, and from what I'm seeing, there's maybe a couple hundred creators on the app that are taking it seriously.

This is what I like to call a land grab phase of social media. This is TikTok 2018, YouTube 2007, Instagram 2012. You're establishing a brand on a social media platform before anybody even shows up. And here's what makes this even crazier: Brands desperately need Sora creators right now. Companies don't know what a prompt. They can't storyboard an AI. And they don't know how to make cinematic sequences from text. When companies join the platform, they're going to need creators who already are established and know what they're doing. Once brand deals begin to start rolling out more frequently, they're going to need creators with audience styles and platforms that people already know. And if you're early and established, you already won.

But this gets much deeper. This is OpenAI's flagship app. Being early on Sora isn't like being early on TikTok. This is being early on a platform built by a company that's building artificial general intelligence. OpenAI is going to want to push Sora out to become a bigger social media app. And to do so, they're going to spotlight creators that are already doing well on the platform. The leverage here is insane.

Right now, the algorithm on Sora is wildly undersaturated. There is much more demand on the platform than supply. I've literally posted at 2:00 in the morning before and hit the rankings the next morning by accident. But a year from now, you're going to need perfect retention, a massive following, and a polished ecosystem of content just to get seen. This is the only moment where breaking the leaderboard is going to be easy.

And even if Sora never pays you a single dollar, the skills you're building are already ahead of millions of people. Learning how to prompt is going to be a recognizable skill in many lines of work. I promise you, studios, brands, and agencies are going to start hiring AI-native creators soon. And I'm telling you, you're early enough to be the blueprint for this job. Your opportunity here is clean and it's simple. This is a brand new ecosystem. And if you follow this video step by step, I promise you will win.

Right now, you have access to every top creator on Sora. You can still collab, DM, and connect with these creators, but in one year, you will not have this opportunity again. In my opinion, this is like early Bitcoin. I just released all of my secrets that took me from having zero followers to one of the biggest creators on the app. So, in return, like and subscribe, and please comment if you still need a code to get into Sora. I'm going to be making a lot more videos about my journey as a creator on Sora.
